Die verhouding van die vader in ‘n hersaamgestelde gesin met sy nie-inwonende kind

Ebersohn, Suzette 02 October 2007 (has links)
The aim of the study was to examine and describe how divorced biological fathers in reconstituted families give form to the educational relationship with their non-resident young children, to achieve an understanding of fathers’ perceptions of their parental roles as well as the functionality of the relationship in practice. A multiple case study using semi-structured interviews was conducted. A meta-analysis of the emergent themes indicated that the field within which understanding of the phenomenon should be constructed, ranges beyond the context of the fathers reconstituted families who participated in the study. The literature review confirmed that the relationship between former marriage partners plays an important part in fathers’ ongoing relationship with their non-resident child/ren. Findings: • The interaction in the mesosystem between the primary and secondary micro family systems of the two parents with and without custody influences the way in which the biological fathers endeavour to establish/maintain a relationship with their non-resident child/ren. Within this unique mesosystem various obstacles and potential traps exist that could prevent fathers from giving form to their educational relationship with their non-resident child/ren. • By identifying and mobilising assets and strengths the focus could shift from fathers’ feelings of frustration and powerlessness to feelings of empowerment and self-determination that could promote optimal relations. / Dissertation (MEd (Educational Psychology))--University of Pretoria, 2006. / Educational Psychology / MEd / unrestricted

Data Analysis of Discussions, Regarding Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures, and their Sentiment on Social Media / Dataanalys av diskussioner, gällande vanliga säkerhetssårbarheter och exponeringar, och deras sentiment på sociala medier

Rahmati, Mustafa, Grujicic, Danijel January 2022 (has links)
As common vulnerabilites and exposures are detected, they are also discussed in various social platforms. The problem is that only a few of the posts made about them, are getting enough attention. This leads to an unawareness of potential and critical threats against systems. It is therefore important to look for patterns that make certain vulnerabilites more or less discussed. To do so, a framework was made for collecting discussions around cybersecurity and more specific vulnerabilites/exposures called CVE from Reddit. In addition, some of the desired data was collected from Twitter. Thereafter, the sentiments of the collected posts were calculated to see patterns between popular subreddits and the attitude shown in them. This was done with three methods: Flair, TextBlob and Vader. The results showed for instance that general discussions about information security were considered to be more positive than discussions of common vulnerabilites and exposures. Another result showed that the spread of CVEs that have a partial impact, are higher in Reddit, and is increasing almost exponentially. CVSS scores showed that a CVE with a CVSS score of around 7 is more likely to appear. Many CVEs in Reddit was also discussed before and after they were disclosed. The implication of this work might be that more and more people might use Reddit to discuss specific types of CVEs in a suitable subreddit, as well as being aware of common vulnerabilites and exposures, in order to prevent future threats.

Boys' experience of an absent father: a gestalt therapeutic description

Patrick, Louise Copeland 31 March 2006 (has links)
Summary With the rise of the divorce rate and the decline of the nuclear family, boys are more frequently being deprived of a father-presence in their homes. The aim of this study was to qualitatively explore and describe boys' experiences of their relationships with their absent fathers. Three boys from different racial and cultural groups were chosen as case studies and worked with from a Gestalt Play Therapy Perspective. Data was gathered from the therapeutic sessions, as well as from semi structured interviews with the childcare workers of the boys. The findings of the study appear to concur with existing literature, namely that boys with absent fathers experience difficulties in the areas of emotional, social, cognitive and moral development. Recommendations are made as to how boys with absent fathers may best be supported. / SOCIAL WORK / MDIAC (PLAY THERAPY)
