ITC/USA 2012 Conference Proceedings / The Forty-Eighth Annual International Telemetering Conference and Technical Exhibition / October 22-25, 2012 / Town and Country Resort & Convention Center, San Diego, California / Previously, we have presented an approach to achieving standards-based multi-vendor hardware configuration using the Instrumentation Hardware Abstraction Language (IHAL) and an associated Application Programming Interface (API) specification. In this paper we describe the current status of the IHAL standard. Since the first introduction of IHAL at ITC 2006, the language has undergone a number of additions and improvements. Currently, IHAL is nearing the end of a 2-year standardization task with the Range Commanders Council Telemetry Group (RCC TG). This paper describes the standardization process in addition to providing an overview of the current state of IHAL. The standard consists of two key components: (1) the IHAL language, and (2), the IHAL API specification.

There are more and more incompatible systems with the growing number of services provided by computers. The user has to chose between expensive huge systems, offered by large companies like Microsoft or Oracle and losing competition. While these huge systems have a lot of possibilities, small and middle sized companies can only use a small portion of options offered there. With the increasing pressure from competitors, this forces users to choose other technologies like Web Services, in order to survive rivalry. WSDL (Web Services Description Language) was invented to describe Web Services in the most simple way there is. Web Service is a collection of protocols and standards used for exchanging data between applications or systems. Software applications written in various programming languages and running on various platforms can use web services to exchange data over computer networks like the Internet in a manner similar to inter-process communication on a single computer. In this work the methods are suggested for creation of stand-alone E-Commerce Hub and combining other systems into it. By the help of Web Services, users of Internet Stores, and other systems based on product and service data, are able to share their information with others through the E-Commerce Hub. It is easily automated and requires no maintenance.

Grids are collaborative distributed Internet systems characterized by large scale, heterogeneity, lack of central control, multiple autonomous administrative domains, unreliable components and frequent dynamic change. In such systems, it is desirable to maintain and query dynamic and timely information about active participants such as services, resources and user communities. The web services vision promises that programs are made more flexible, adaptive and powerful by querying Internet databases (registries) at runtime in order to discover information and network attached building blocks, enabling the assembly of distributed higher-level components. In support of this vision, we introduce the Web Service Discovery Architecture (WSDA), we introduce the hyper registry, which is a centralized database node for discovery of dynamic distributed content. It supports XQueries over a tuple set from a dynamic XML data model.

Web services are widely used in banking, finance, insurance, tourism, e-business sectors and so on. Web services have emerged only recently, so the issues are typical for new technologies: ideas had arisen on technological level, and methods for modeling and development are coming only later. Existing development processes and notations such as Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks, and Business Process Modeling (BPM) provide us with capabilities to identify and describe appropriate architectural abstractions, but it’s not enough for realization of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
In this work the methodology is proposed for design of stand-alone services and combining them into larger system. Proposed methodology joins main principles of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Enterprise Architecture frameworks, and Business Process Modeling. This methodology allows to describe service-oriented models using UML diagrams and to combine them with each other. Stages of designing stand-alone services are: business modeling, requirements analysis, identification of interfaces, analysis of interface interaction, specification of components, service model (WSDL diagram) design. Designing services systems consists of following steps: use case modeling, services identification, choreography modeling, business modeling and composite service modeling.

Today's healthcare computer systems rely upon a disparate collection of legacy services, all developed separately and independently for patient records, radiological images, scheduling, billing, and administration. The Web is based on a client-server model. It consists of a set of servers, known as Web servers, which receive one request at a time and respond to that request without preserving state information, and a set of clients, known as Web browsers, which make requests based on user input and present results. Several efforts have been undertaken to address security in the Web, although the primary focus has been at the application level. These efforts have addressed the issue of protecting the privacy, accuracy and authenticity of transactions conducted over the Internet. In this work we will discuss cutting edge security tools in Microsoft’s newest .NET framework version, how to use and witch to choose, how to integrate them in medical environment, will see how they meet today’s medical web services requirements and will propose some methods to make securing of web services easier and more reliable.

Šiuolaikinės mokymo(si) sistemos dažniausiai realizuoja žinių perteikimo modelį kai naudojama aiškinamojo pobūdžio medžiaga. Paprastai ji apiforminama mokymo kursais LMS aplinkose. Tokie kursai besimokantiems suteikia galimybę įgyti žinias, bet nesuteikia gebėjimų. Pastaruoju metu susiformavo naujas požiūris į mokymo objektą. Mokymo objektais pradedami vadinti ne tik failų pavidalo objektai vykdomi vartotojo kompiuteryje, bet ir sudėtingesnes funkcijas atliekančios programų sistemos. Tokios sistemos negali taip paprastai būti siunčiamos tinkle. Todėl nebetinka nusistovėję sprendimai, kaip IMS-LD ar SCORM supakuojantys kursą su visais mokymo objektais į vieną failą. Šio darbo tikslas yra panagrinėti tradicinių e.mokymo sistemų privalumus ir trūkumus, bei pažvelgti į paslaugas orientuotos architektūros galimybes kuriant e.mokymo informacines sistemas. Siūloma taikyti į paslaugas orientuotą projektavimo modelį ir mokymosi paslaugas komponuoti iš tinkle paskirstytų e.mokymo išteklių – mokymo objektų. Darbe pateikiamas originalus komponavimo paslaugos sprendimas leidžiantis mokymosi scenarijų autoriams lanksčiai komponuoti mokymosi paslaugas. Svarbu yra tai, kad į mokymosi scenarijų-paslaugą autoriai gali įkomponuoti ir aiškinamuosius ir vykdomuosius mokymo objektus. Tokių paslaugų gavėjai, tyrėjai ar studentai, gauna ne tik aiškinamąją mokymo medžiagą, bet ir skaičiavimo ar modeliavimo užduotis, kurioms atlikti būtinos pateiktos žinios. / The most important objective of e-learning systems is to provide learning content which should give required knowledge and competence for learners or scientists. Such content shouldn’t be created from scratch. It should be interactively created from smaller/atomic learning objects and delivered to VO users. Learning object composition to seamless and more completed structure by learning approach is named learning service or learning scenario. Learning objects may vary from simple text document to sophisticated web services which are the most important part of VO. Therefore composition of learning service is quite complex task. However bringing on such implementation technologies like web services and portlets makes this task solvable. Composed learning service should give learning content which is called learning scenario for VO users on some particular topic. This scenario can consist of description, task and theory, modeling, experimentation, assessment and other tools or web services what can be used for learning. These learning objects may change frequently. The main problem is creation of composition solution which could be able to deliver last versions of learning objects for learners. The developed composition solution could be used for creation of modern e-learning systems.

Šiame magistro darbe pateikiama automatinių testų generavimas XML WEB servisams, naudojantis WSDL failais. Pirma dalis aprašo algoritmų tyrimą ir būdus generuoti automatinius testus XML WEB servisams. Buvo sukurtas papildinys Visual Studio programinės įrangos kūrimo įrankiui. Papildinys, pasinaudojant WSDL specifikacija, analizuoja ir atvaizduoja WEB serviso struktūrą medyje. Vartotojai, naudojantis išanalizuotais duomenimis, gali lengvai įvesti testavimo duomenis ir generuoti automatinius vienetų testus. Taip pat sistema leidžia vartotojui įvesti atsako laiką ir generuoti automatinius našumo testus. Aprašyti papildinio reikalavimai, funkcinė ir nefunkcinė specifikacija bei architektūra. Tyrimo skyriuje yra aprašomas sukurto įrankio tyrimas. Šioje srityje buvo tiriama darbo su įrankiu efektingumas, atliekant mutacinį testavimą. / In this master thesis the automated tests generation for XML WEB services by using WSDL files is presented. First section describes a research of algorithms and ways to generate automated test for XML WEB services. For automated tests generation plug-in for Visual Studio development tool is created. Plug-in takes web service specification analyses and shows WEB service structure in tree. Users by using analyzed data user can easily enter testing data by using developed tool and generate automated unit tests. Also system let user to enter response time and generate performance tests. Created plug-in requirements, functional and non-functional specification, architecture. In investigation section is described developed plug-in investigation. In this section were investigate the working efficiency of tool by doing mutation testing for generated automated tests.

Tikimės, kad Grid paslaugos sukurtos iš pasaulinio tinklo paslaugų parodys vykdymo problemas, bent jau pradžioje, ir kad eksperimentavimas ir alternatyvų kūrimas, pareikalaus efektyvesnių pasaulinio tinklo paslaugų realizacijų. Pasiūlytas modelis sukurtas Grid architektūros pagrindu, taip išvengiant rizikos perkurti visą infrastuktūrą. / This work has described an approach to building Grid Services that attempts to promote interoperability, stability and productivity, despite the fact that Web Services are a young technology with few standards. We anticipate that Grid services built from Web Services will show performance problems, at least initially, and that experimentation and development of alternate, more efficient implementations of some of these Web Services will be necessary. Proposed model is based on existing Grid architecture, without the risk of rebuilding the whole infrastructure.

To solve the problem was chosen develop the new system, because there is no such a decision that has been made or is currently under construction. The system will have a graphical user interface that will be generated by the WSDL description. The main requirement is that a developed system can generate the programing code by combining several existing e-service SOAP protocols.

In evolution of the internet, semantic web and semantic web service definitions are very important. Semantic web will dramatically change the understanding of web and the services on the Internet. This system is well suited to the expected future changes for services on the Internet in the business sector. The semantic web services can be applied to end users and business needs. The system output can be used for other business processes like data entry. Main goals of my job – to adapt the experience from previous jobs about semantic web technologies, analyze Lithuanian e-business market, the semantic web services environment, tools for services creation, design a semantic web service prototype and highlight competitive advantage opportunities.
