Es wurden Möglichkeiten zur herbizidfreien Unkrautregulierung bei Pflugverzicht untersucht. Mulchmaterial kann in Kartoffeln Unkräuter unterdrücken, Boden vor Verschlämmung und Austrocknung schützen und die Kulturpflanzen ernähren. Zwischenfrüchte reduzieren die Verunkrautung im folgenden Mais, gräserhaltige Zwischenfrüchte führen gegebenenfalls zu Durchwuchs. Mechanische Unkrautbekämpfung muss hinsichtlich Gerätewahl, Einsatzzeitpunkt und Geräteeinstellung standortbezogen erfolgen. Dabei sind unter anderem Fruchtfolge und Bodenbearbeitung zu betrachten. Bei dauerhafter Direktsaat ist ein Herbizidverzicht nur in speziellen Fruchtfolgekonstellationen sinnvoll.

An belastbaren Informationen zu Werten von Ackerflächen mögen in erster Linie deren Eigentümer und Kaufinteressenten interessiert sein. Aber auch die Verwaltung kann nur auf der Grundlage plausibler Grundstückswerte angemessene Entscheidungen treffen. Hierbei ist neben zahlreichen anderen Aufgaben etwa an die Genehmigung rechtsgeschäftlicher Veräußerungen nach dem Grundstücksverkehrsgesetz oder an die ländliche Neuordnung im Rahmen des Flurbereinigungsgesetzes zu denken. Nicht zuletzt ist eine angemessene Übersicht über den Wert von Ackerflächen die zwingende Voraussetzung für eine gerechte und nachvollziehbare Rechtsprechung. This thesis confronts the ongoing issue of marginalization faced by women in sociologicalresearch, spotlighting the enduring influence of Joan Acker. It underscores Acker's crucial rolewithin sociological research, advocating for her work to be integral to sociology's undergraduatecurriculum. The study uses Brauns and Clarke's reflexive thematic analysis method to scrutinizesociological articles published in 2022 and 2023 that reference Acker's 1990 paper. The studyexplores the contemporary applications of Acker's research, the evolution of her "ideal worker"concept within feminist research, and the impact of the researcher's gender on their engagementwith Acker's research. The thesis is underpinned by a feminist sociological framework that rebutsandrocentric views, with an emphasis on contributions from scholars like Smith, Haraway, andHarding. It utilizes Rossiter's concept of the "Matilda effect" to depict the chronic undervaluationof female scientists' contributions. The study concludes that Acker's 1990 article continues to bea pivotal element in feminist organizational sociology between January 2022 to January 2023,specifically in interpreting and comprehending gendered structures in organizations.Additionally, Acker's "ideal worker" concept remains pertinent for highlighting norm systemsthat disadvantage women within organizations. Significantly, it is found that those who activelydelve into Acker's work are predominantly women. It underscores Acker's crucial role withinsociological research, advocating for her work to be integral to sociology's undergraduatecurriculum.

The following collection represents the critical and creative work produced during my doctoral program in English. The dissertation consists of Part I, a critical preface, and Part II, a collection of seven short stories and two nonfiction essays. Part I, which contains the critical preface entitled "What to Say and How to Say It," examines the role of voice in discussions of contemporary literature. The critical preface presents a definition of voice and identifies examples of voice-driven writing in contemporary literature, particularly from the work of Mary Robison, Dorothy Allison, and Kathy Acker. In addition, the critical preface also discusses how the use of flavor, tone, and content contribute to voice, both in work of famous authors and in my own writing. In Part II of my dissertation, I present the creative portion of my work. Part II contains seven works of short fiction, titled "Among Waitresses," "The Lion Tamer," "Restoration Services," "Hospitality," "Blood Relation," "Managerial Timber," and "Velma A Cappella." Each work develops a voice-driven narrative through the use of flavor, tone, and content. Also, two nonfiction essays, titled "Fentanyl and Happy Meals" and "Tracks," close out the collection. "Fentanyl and Happy Meals" describes the impact of methamphetamine addiction on family relationships, while "Tracks" focuses on the degradation of the natural world by human waste and other forms of pollution. In total, this collection demonstrates my approach to both scholarly and creative writing, and I am grateful for the University of North Texas for the opportunity to develop academically and achieve my goals.

Toni Morrison and Kathy Acker write their novels within the subversive feminist literary movement described by Helene Cixous in “Laugh of the Medusa”. Through Morrison’s Paradise and Acker’s Blood and Guts in High School they create a platform for women silenced by their bodily trauma to express and eventually liberate themselves from their traumatic pasts. These female writers are calling attention to the pandemic of misogyny-related violence and allowing assault survivors to speak through their pain.
