Bis zum Jahr 2005 erbrachte die umfangreiche Bauforschung für Schloss Rochlitz sensationelle Ergebnisse. Mit der Entdeckung der romanischen Torkapelle und eines gotischen Chorerkers können nun lückenlos die Orte geistlichen Lebens auf Burg und Schloss Rochlitz seit dem 12. Jahrhundert nachvollzogen werden.

Im Beitrag steht ausschließlich und umfassend der Turm der ehemaligen Vorburg im Mittelpunkt. Im archäologischen Kontext werden wichtige Aussagen zur prähistorischen Besiedlung des Burgareals getroffen.

Mit den neu entstandenen herrschaftlichen Anforderungen an die Burg Rochlitz im 12. Jahrhundert ging ein massiver Ausbau einher. Neue wehrhafte und repräsentative Bauwerke entstanden, Keller zur Vorratshaltung wurden in das anstehende Felsgestein getrieben. Ein bisher nicht vollständig erklärtes geologisches Phänomen der Erdgeschichte wurde dadurch geöffnet und kann heute konserviert besichtigt werden. / The ruler’s new requirements involving Rochlitz Castle in the 12th century brought huge development work with them. New fortifying and representative structures were built and cellars for storing supplies excavated out of the solid rock. This opened up a previously not fully explained geological phenomenon of the history of the earth which can today be viewed in its preserved state.

The aim of this master’s thesis is to learn the problem of analysis and identification of significant spectral components in speech signal. Based on learning a special literature chooses the suitable methods of spectrum estimate. Does learning the literature in specification of testing of spectral components significate. Makes a procedure for identification of chosen speech formants. Does this procedure for audio signals both of in stress and in normal state. Estimates the results, compares efficiency of chosen methods and determine threshold for chosen formant of analyzed stress signal. States the recommendations for speech spectral analysis in stress situation.

Für Gerhard Billig sollte dieses Werk krönender Abschluss seiner wissenschaftlichen Arbeit sein: das Zusammenführen seiner Lebens- und wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnis zur mittelalterlichen Burgenlandschaft Sachsens - es blieb unvollendet. Sieben Kapitel hatte er konzipiert, fünf davon geschrieben. Was vorliegt, ist ein dennoch in sich geschlossenes Spätwerk, das posthum als wissenschaftliches Essay veröffentlicht werden konnte. Bislang gibt es kein zweites, auf eine longue durée geschriebenes Buch, das aus lokaler, regionaler und landesgeschichtlicher Perspektive die Burgenentwicklung in einer naturräumlich und politisch-administrativ gegliederten Kulturlandschaft in interdisziplinärer Weise beschreibt, angefangen von den Burgwällen des frühen Mittelalters bis zu Änderungen im Wehrbau im Spätmittelalter. Wenngleich einzelne Aspekte dieses Werkes forschungskritisch zu beleuchten sind, so besteht der Wert in der Gesamtsicht auf das Thema und in der konsequent angewandten interdisziplinären Methode. Möge der Leser daher diesen Text als eine letzte Vorlesung Gerhard Billigs begreifen und mit höchstmöglichem Gewinn für sich erfassen. / For Gerhard Billig this book was meant to be the culmination of his lifelong career as a professional historian: the synthesis of his abundant knowledge of medieval castles in Saxony - it remained fragmentary. Gerhard Billig, who had carefully designed this study, was only able to finish five out of seven chapters. Nevertheless, the present book is a coherent academic study worth being published as a posthumous essay. Like no other author before him, Gerhard Billig scrutinized the long-term development of castles from an interdisciplinary perspective within the history of a cultural landscape, which is equally shaped by physiographic conditions, different dominions and Lordships and their administrative districts. This book combines different perspectives from local to regional history and applied regional studies to describe the history of castle building over the longue durée, beginning with the early medieval castle mounds and ending with the innovations in late medieval fortification. Even though some of its aspects are open to debate and may need further historical research, the great value of this study is to provide an overall view on castle building and to take a consistent interdisciplinary approach. Readers may profit from its rich findings and regard this book as Gerhard Billig’s last lecture.

This dissertation attempts to investigate the intertextual modus operandi in the oeuvre of H.J. Pieterse, with specific focus on his volumes, Alruin (1989) and Die burg van hertog Bloubaard (2000). The overarching purpose of the investigation is to prove that the author not only uses intertextuality in the sense that one text (literary text) refers to another text (literary and non–literary), or that one text influences another. Pieterse engages in conversation with other texts and re–writes these texts by repositioning them in another context and by adding additional metaphoric meaning to them. The author allows these texts to exchange conversation, to mutually influence one another, and this has as a result that, in his poems, his poetry and his oeuvre, metaphoric lines come into being, which lend a layered meaning to these texts and enrich the possibilities of their interpretation. Thus, a play on multiple meaning develops, which moves between texts: written texts, literary texts, non–literary texts, the author, the reader and the context(s). The conclusion to which this dissertation comes, is that the above mentioned manifestations of meanings, which exist and come into existence within the physically confines of the text, expand this text to a less confined existence in terms of meaning, more unlimited and unbound than what is necessarily allowed by the physically confined nature of the written text. The question thus arises of how the physically limited text take possession of and draws into the texts what lies beyond its physical confines to produce meaning, and how this tension around the limits of the literary text is functionally used. Consequentially, the question that follows is how this happens in the oeuvre of H.J.
