Rengimosi sporto pedagogo karjerai Baltijos šalyse lyginamoji analizė / A comparable analysis of Baltic states among preservice physical education teachers preparation for their future career

Trims Pabaltijo valstybėms ištrūkus iš Sovietų Sąjungos ir Įstojus į ES, švietimo sistema buvo reformuota, artinant ją prie vakarų šalių švietimo sistemų. Didelis dėmesys kreipiamas mokinių ir studentų karjeros planavimui, nes atsivėrus sienoms ir išaugus kvalifikuotos darbo jėgos paklausai, vis jaunesnio amžiaus asmenys turi nuspręsti savo tolimesnės karjeros žingsnius. Tuo tarpu racionalus profesijos pasirinkimas ir darbo rinkos poreikius atitinkantis karjeros planas yra sėkmingos profesinės karjeros pagrindas. Tyrimo tikslas: Atlikti Baltijos valstybėse (Lietuvoje, Latvijoje, Estijoje bei Suomijoje) studijuojančių studentų rengimosi sporto pedagogo karjerai lyginamąją analizę. Problema – Ar skiriasi Lietuvos, Latvijos, Estijos ir Suomijos sporto pedagogų rengimas, aukštojoje mokykloje, jų tolimesnei karjerai? Hipotezės: 1. Lietuvos, Latvijos ir Estijos būsimųjų sporto pedagogų rengimas nesiskiria; 2. Lietuvos, Latvijos ir Estijos sporto pedagogų rengimas karjerai skiriasi nuo Suomijos sporto pedagogų rengimo karjerai. A narrative and hermeneutic approach to understanding the career development of ten professional black South African women.

This study uses a narrative and hermeneutic approach to explore the career development often professional Black South African women. Using an interview guide developed by Brown and Gilligan (1991) and adapted by Mautner and Doucet (1996) career narratives were collected from the ten women. The narratives were analysed using a Reading Guide (Tappan and Brown, 1992). This method involved reading each narrative a number of times, focusing on a particular aspect of the respondent's narrative with each reading. Four major themes emerged through the process of interpretation; 1) contextualised career narratives, 2) positive non-directional career narratives, 3) the social embeddedness of the career narratives and 4) gendered career development. Karriärmöjligheter inom Arbetsförmedlingen : En kvalitativ studie om hur de anställda upplever sina karriärmöjligheter

This qualitative study aims to examine what career opportunities the Swedish employment service Arbetsförmedlingen can provide, as well as how the employees perceive their career development opportunities. Furthermore, we have touched on what it is that makes employees feel satisfied with their job and workplace, and also stay in the organization. The study was conducted on one of Arbetsförmedlingen’s offices in northern Sweden and the informants consisted of six employment agents, an executive assistant and a head of division. The result of the study has been analyzed using theories within the field of career development. Most of the informants have conveyed a positive description of their development opportunities and believe that it is possible to advance vertically as well as horizontally, and within their current role. However, differences were found among the informants regarding the importance of career. In addition several informants believe that the level of stress in the workplace is a problem and that Arbetsförmedlingen should do more to prevent stress.

Exploring the Experiences of African American Women in an Undergraduate Research Program Designed to Address the Underrepresentation of Women and Minorities in Neuroscience: A Qualitative Analysis

African American women compose a critical proportion of the potential science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) workforce of the future, yet are disproportionately represented and largely underutilized. While various programs and initiatives have been designed and implemented to target women and underrepresented minorities, the voices and experiences of African American women have been insufficiently heard or studied. This study investigates the experiences of four African American female students who participated in a 10-week undergraduate research experience (URE) program designed for the recruitment and retention of women and underrepresented minorities in STEM disciplines. Through autobiographical narratives and interviews participants shared how and in what ways the URE program influenced their career development (namely academic/career interests and choices), what they learned about their interests and choices, and what it means to them to be African American women pursuing science-related careers. Using a qualitative case study analysis, this study focuses on the unique stories of young African-American women participating in their own career development. Seven major themes emerged from the analysis of the data. Each of the participants initially entered the URE with an established interest in science, with an expressed desire for research experience, and with an interest in exploring career options in science. Through their involvement in the URE program, participants experienced a significant increase in self-knowledge and confidence, recognized the existence of social and/or science communities, and either discovered or clarified career interests and possibilities. All participants recognized value in their participation and expressed gratitude for having had the opportunity. Overall, the URE program provided a vital opportunity for participants to play an active role in their own career development. The results of this study emphasize the importance of and need to expand the URE as an avenue for career development and exploration in order to address the lack of such programming for African American women in STEM disciplines.

Tyrimo aktualumas. Karjeros pasirinkimas yra viena aktualiausių problemų, nuo kurios tinkamo sprendimo priklauso žmogaus asmeninės gerovės augimas. Todėl labai svarbu, kad jau pats pirmasis jaunuolio apsisprendimas būtų sąmoningas, tikslingas, kad suprastų, jog adaptacija darbo pasaulyje ir asmenybės vidinė harmonija priklauso nuo tinkamo apsisprendimo. Tyrimo objektas – Šiaulių universiteto socialinių mokslų ir menų fakultetų studentų karjeros rinkimosi veiksniai. Darbo tyrimo tikslas buvo palyginti socialinių mokslų ir menų fakultetų studentus karjeros rinkimosi veiksnius. Tyrimo metodai: mokslinė literatūros analizė; anketinė apklausa naudota Beresnevičienės D. sudaryta metodika (1995); kiekybinė tyrimo duomenų analizei buvo naudota „SPSS 11,0 for Windows„ programa bei „MS Exel“ paveikslėliai. / Relevance of the Survey. Career selection is one of the most relevant problems; the appropriate decision has an influence on the growth of personal wealth. Therefore it is very important, that the first decision of the schoolchild is conscious, purposeful with understanding that adaptation in the labour market as well as internal harmony of personality depends upon suitable decision. Object of the Survey – career selection factors of students from Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Arts at Siauliai University. There have been made conclusions of the survey and document analysis. There has been confirmed the hypothesis that Siauliai University Career Center can function in such strategic directions as compiling the database of job searchers and proposals for jobs, providing aid to career people and developing of methodological basis.

Pasitelkus socialinio konstrukcionizmo teoriją, disertacijoje siekiama išanalizuoti karjeros sampratos formavimą Lietuvoje. Pasirinkta teorinė-metodologinė pozicija leidžia peržengti iki šiol karjeros teorijoje dominavusias dichotomijas tarp to, kas suprantama kaip senoji, tradicinė, biurokratinė arba organizacinė karjera, ir naujosios, individualios arba asmeninės karjeros, kuri būdingesnė pozityvistinei tyrimų perspektyvai. Disertacijoje akcentuojamas žinojimo ir socialinio, istorinio konteksto sąryšis. Remiantis trimis socialinės tikrovės konstravimo proceso etapais – objektyvacija, eksternalizacija ir internalizacija, į karjeros sampratos formavimo instrumentų analizę įtraukiamas ne tik mokslinis žinojimas, t. y. nagrinėjama ne tik akademinė karjeros samprata, bet ir viešosios politikos atstovų, praktikų ir tyrėjų formuojama karjeros samprata. / The dissertation analyses the construction of the concept of career in Lithuania using the theory of social constructionism. The dissertation analyses the construction of the concept of career in Lithuania using the theory of social constructionism. The chosen theoretical-methodological approach allows us to overcome the dichotomies that have long been prevalent in career theory—between the old, traditional, bureaucratic or organizational career and the new, individual or personal career, more typical to the positivistic approach. The dissertation emphasizes the relationship between knowledge and its socio-historical context. The construction of social reality may be divided into three distinct phases—objectivation, externalization and internalization. Šiame magistrantūros darbe nagrinėjamas moterų požiūris į karjeros planavimo galimybių kaitą. Kaip prieš 30 metų moteris planavo savo karjerą ir kaip jaunos moterys šiandien planuoja savo karjerą. Darbo tikslas - nustatyti moterų požiūrį į karjeros planavimo galimybių kaitą. Darbo tikslui nustatyti iškelti šie uždaviniai: 1. Apibūdinti moters karjeros ir karjeros planavimo sampratas. 2. Aprašyti moters karjeros sampratą įtakojantį socialinį kontekstą prieš 30 m. ir dabar. 3. Nustatyti moterų požiūrį į karjeros planavimo galimybes prieš 30 m. ir dabar. Pirmoje dalyje nagrinėjama moters karjeros samprata. Aprašoma kaip mokslinėje literatūroje įvairūs autoriai apibūdina moters karjerą, kokius karjeros modelius išskiria. Taip pat aprašoma karjeros planavimo sąvoka, kokios išskiriamos karjeros planavimo koncepcijos, modeliai, kuriais remiantis galima nagrinėti moters karjerą. Teorinėje darbo dalyje aprašomas socialinis kontekstas įtakojęs moters požiūrį į karjeros planavimą prieš 30 metų ir dabar. Darbe atlikta moterų, kurioms buvo prieš 30 metų 20-30 metų, ir moterų, kurioms šiandien yra 20-30 metų apklausa. Atliktus empirinį tyrimą nustatyta, jog tiek prieš 30 metų, tiek šiandien jaunos moterys karjerą supranta ir apibūdina panašiai, nes išskiria panašius karjerą apibūdinančius elementus. Lygiai taip pat apklausoje dalyvavusios moterys supranta ir karjeros planavimą. Tačiau jų karjerą ir jos planavimą gan stipriai įtakojo socialinė ir ekonominė politika, kuri vyravo... As a 30 years ago woman had planned a career and how a young woman today is planning her careers. The aim of the study is to set woman attitudes change in career development opportunities. Therefore the following goals have been set: 1. Describe women’s career and career planning concepts. 2. Describe the concept of career women in influencing the social context of 30 years ago and now. 3. Identify women’s approach to career development opportunities 30 years ago and now. The paper starts with the theoretical background to identify woman’s career conception. Describe how in non-fiction different authors write about woman’s career, what career models of release. Užsienio autoriai atlieka tokius tyrimus, kurių tikslinė grupė – profesionalūs muzikos atlikėjai. Tyrėjų tikslas nustatyti, ar muzikos studijų programa aukštojoje mokykloje tinkamai parengia jaunuosius muzikos atlikėjus, kad jie galėtų būti vadinami profesionalais (Creech, Papageorgi, et. all, 2007). Kiti autoriai analizuoja tokius probleminius klausimus, kaip kintantys muzikos atlikėjo profesionalumo standartai (Smilde, 2007; Tooley, 1998). Neneigiant pastarųjų tyrimų reikšmingumo, aktualu tyrinėti muzikos studijų krypties studentų sėkmingos karjeros sampratą ir veiksmus, siekiant sėkmingos karjeros.
