O objeto desta tese enfatiza a minha prática artística desenvolvida durante 2010 e 2012, período que freqüentei o mestrado de Poéticas Visuais da Universidade de São Paulo. A produção escrita aqui apresentada acompanhada de imagens, permite uma descrição crítica e contextualizada dos trabalhos em questão. A narração da sua linha de construção e a concepção justificada através de associações. O evento como objeto de trabalho, e ponto de partida. A vivência de algumas situações como prática, para a representação de objetos, criando intersecções de acontecimentos, períodos históricos, ou mesmo ficções (A), através de um processo de tradução em esculturas (B). Este processo de transferência de A para B contém uma série de conexões invisíveis: como réplicas de objetos, articulações de sentidos, associações, para a construção de escultura, ou de imagem. Estas peças surgiram da possibilidade de tornar material uma relação. A relação que tenho estabelecido entre dois lugares: Portugal e Brasil, os dois países onde tenho vivido nos últimos quatro anos. / a period that I attended the Master of Visual Poetics, University of Sao Paulo. The written production accompanied by images presented here, allows a contextualized and critical description of the work in question. The narration of its time line of construction and design justified through associations. The event as an object of work and starting point. Direct experience as a practice for the representation of objects, for the intersection of events, historical periods or even fictions (A), translated into sculptures (B). This transference process from A to B holds some invisible connections, such as replicas, different meanings in articulation and associations for the construction of a sculpture or image. These pieces came from the possibility of making material a relation. The relation I have established between these two places: Portugal and Brazil, the two countries I\'ve been living in for the past four years.

Para compreender a relação entre cor e fotografia, investiguei seus aspectos técnicos e poéticos. Aprofundando-me na pesquisa de importantes fotógrafos que trabalham com a cor, realizando uma série de entrevistas com os artistas estudados e especialistas na área e construindo uma prática artística pessoal, procuro mostrar nesta dissertação como a cor adquire autonomia, tornando-se elemento estrutural da obra. / To understand the relationship between color and photography, I investigated the technical and poetical aspects. Deepening in the researches about important photographers that work with color, making a series of interviews with the artists that had been studied and professionals from the area and building an artistic personal practice, I try to show in this dissertation how the color acquires autonomy becoming a structural element of the work.

The focus is to understand to what extent and in what ways the contemporary transformations of work practices generate changes in the specific field of work of goldsmiths. The work starts from an assumption that these transformations had direct impact on goldsmith activities and jewellery workers. To answer the question, this work is structured based on the technical features surrounding goldsmiths in Minas Gerais, the knowledge of goldsmith practices, the changes in this specific field of labour and it's production, generated from the contemporary changing work standards. As a methodology, workers, jewellery businessmen, union representatives, a mineralogy professor and a jewellery designer were all interviewed. Pictures were taken, along with dictionary researches, web researches and also a consultation to the jewellery industry's data source / Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar as transformações do trabalho na indústria joalheira de Belo Horizonte - MG e seus impactos no ofício da ourivesaria. O foco é entender até que ponto e, de que forma, as transformações contemporâneas do trabalho geraram mudanças no ofício da ourivesaria. Partiu-se do pressuposto de que essas transformações no trabalho impactaram diretamente o ofício da ourivesaria e os trabalhadores ourives. Para responder à questão de pesquisa, este trabalho foi estruturado, a partir das características da ourivesaria mineira, o conhecimento da prática do ofício da ourivesaria, as mudanças no ofício e na produção, geradas a partir das transformações no trabalho. Utilizou-se como metodologia entrevistas semiestruturadas com trabalhadores, empresários, representantes sindicais, um professor de mineralogia e uma designer de joias. Foram feitas fotografias, coleta de dados em dicionários, sítios da internet e dados relativos à produção de uma indústria joalheira

Esta dissertação tem como objeto de estudo a minha produção de pintura entre os anos de 2006 e 2008 e as relações que esta estabelece com as séries produzidas anteriormente durante minha permanência na Alemanha. O vínculo entre estes trabalhos dá-se principalmente através do uso da fotografia - da sua manipulação e posterior releitura através da pintura - que tem como tema as relações com o cotidiano tanto através da Internet como do contato direto com pessoas e coisas. A montagem destas pinturas no espaço é outro elemento importante dentro do processo de trabalho que enfatiza as relações com o espectador e com a lógica interna da própria pintura. / This paper has as a study purpose my painting production between the years of 2006 and 2008 and the relations that it established with the series previously produced, during my time in Germany. The link between these works occurs mainly through the use of photograph of its manipulation and the subsequent reinterpretation through painting -, which has as subject the relations with the everyday life, whether through the Internet or through the direct contact with people and things. The montage of these paintings in space is another important element within the work process, which emphasizes the relations with the audience and the internal logic of painting itself.

A dissertação apresentada compreende reflexões em torno do pote cerâmico relacionado à prática artística, tanto em meu processo de criação como na produção artística contemporânea. O pote no qual trabalho a minha poética parte da forma clássica da louçaria utilitária doméstica e é suporte para o desenvolvimento de uma prática em que ele se apresenta fora de sua aplicabilidade funcional ou de seu contexto original. A partir da forma da tigela, desenvolvo trabalhos através de múltiplos, uso recursos de impressões serigráficas e tipográficas e outras interferências, como o tricô, na tentativa de trazer outro olhar para o utensílio cerâmico. / The research presented includes discussions on the ceramic pot related to artistic practice, as in my creative process, as also in contemporary artistic production. The pot from my poetic work starts in the classical form of the domestic utilitarian pottery and its a support for the developing of a practice, where its shows outside of their applicability, function or original context. From the shape of the bowl I develop my work across multiples, I use resources of silk screen prints and others typographical interferences as knitting, trying to bring another look at the ceramic utensil.

It analyses aesthetic changes in the status of art which have occurred from modern and contemporary art with the emergence of Duchamp's ready-mades, going through Arman's assemblages, performances and happenings of Fluxus artists until the contemporary installations of El Anatsui. The strategies of the processes of production, assembly/exhibition and apprehension of those works are also brought into appreciation. As a corpus of analysis, three works were selected: Manto da apresentação (Mantle of Presentation) (1985) by Arthur Bispo do Rosário, Arqueologia poética (Poetic Archeology) (2011) by Luiz Antônio Rodrigues - Chiquitão and Marat (Sebastião) (2009) by Vik Muniz. Fundamentally, the choice of these works was based on their original aspect. Their singularity comes from the fact that those artists use materials and objects of daily use as one of the elements that constitute the materiality of the aesthetic arrangement of their works, in relation to other art materials. The theoretical and methodological basis of this work is found in the French semiotics of Algirdas Julien Greimas, with its developments in Plastic semiotics, in the researches of Jean-Marie Floch and Ana Claudia de Oliveira, as well as in the works of Eric Landowski about the “sense felt" in constituting acts produced from interaction regimes. Throughout the analysis of the corpus, it can be noticed how is produced the construction of meaning concerning these different discourses, as well as of the interactions coming from the relationship between enunciator and enunciatee. Thus, it is demonstrated, at this point, how matter and materials mean in the aesthetic discursive construction of the works and in the aesthesia condition of the production of the sense that gives meaning to it. The focus of the semiotic on the sensitive matter of art, makes it possible to establish a more in-depth study of the issues listed here. It can be better realized that the formants of matter have a special "force" - during the creation of high impact discourses towards the art spectators and, in their context, being able to engage them in the works that promote aesthesia and which materiality is the outlet that affects them. This sensitizes the artists to the new uses of matter and materials, re-signifying their use in everyday life, an achievement of the art produced in Brazil in dialogue with other international artistic trends / Investigação das manifestações artísticas na contemporaneidade, que trazem em suas experiências estéticas objetos construídos a partir de objetos da cotidianidade que, por operações várias, são transformados em poéticas visuais contemporâneas. Reflete-se sobre as mudanças estéticas no estatuto da arte que ocorreram a partir da arte moderna e contemporânea, com o surgimento dos ready-mades de Duchamp, passando pelas assemblages de Arman, performances e happenings do Grupo Fluxus, até as instalações contemporâneas de El Anatsui, apreciando as estratégias dos processos de produção, montagem/exposição e apreensão das obras analisadas. Como corpus de análise, selecionamos Manto da apresentação (1985) de Arthur Bispo do Rosário, Arqueologia poética (2011) de Luiz Antônio Rodrigues – Chiquitão e Marat (Sebastião) (2009) de Vik Muniz. As obras escolhidas se justificam, a princípio, por se destacarem pelo aspecto da originalidade. Essa singularidade advém do fato de os artistas utilizarem materiais e objetos do uso cotidiano como um dos elementos que formam a materialidade do arranjo plástico das obras, em relação com outros materiais artísticos. A base teórica e metodológica utilizada encontra-se na semiótica francesa de Algirdas Julien Greimas, com os seus desdobramentos na semiótica plástica, nas pesquisas de Jean-Marie Floch e Ana Claudia de Oliveira, e no trabalho sobre o “sentido sentido” em ato constituído a partir dos regimes de interação teorizados por Eric Landowski. Na análise do corpus, percebe-se como se dá a construção de sentido desses diferentes discursos, assim como das interações provenientes das relações entre enunciador e enunciatário. Assim, chega-se a: como as matérias e os materiais significam na construção discursiva estética das obras e na condição estésica da produção do sentido que a significa. Com essa visada semiótica sobre a matéria sensível da arte, consigamos constituir um estudo mais aprofundado sobre as questões aqui elencadas, percebendo que os formantes matéricos têm uma “força” especial – na criação de discursos impactantes no destinatário e em seu contexto, engajando-os nas obras que promovem estesias nas quais a materialidade é o desembocador que afeta, sensibilizando o artista para os novos usos dos materiais e matérias, e ressignificando seu uso na cotidianidade, um feito da arte produzida no Brasil em diálogo com outras tendências da arte internacional

Cunningham was one of the most influential and creative music video directors in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Visible throughout his art is the theme of the body and its innards - an important and wide discussion in contemporary culture studies. The hypothesis of this text is that the music video is one of the main audiovisual narratives of postmodern culture from the aspect of new aesthetics and artistic experiments. Cunningham adds original marks to the characteristics that constitute contemporary art, especially the one that has placed the body under interrogation and also the art object as waste. The contemporary art discussion in this thesis is inspired by psychanalysts Jacques-Allan Miller and Gerard Wajcman and the positioning of the object, and a new gaze at it is provided by Didi-Huberman. Concerning the role of the body in this setting, Santaella brings a contribution on it as an art support, besides presenting much of the specific problems of the body in culture. Raymond Bellour, Philippe Dubois and Arlindo Machado with their discussions around film and video allow the insertion of the music video as a language with its own characteristics and history, as the theorists Andrew Goodwin, E. Ann Kaplan and Carol Vernallis point out. The Lacanian theory provides a formal way to analyze and discuss the body from an instinctive perspective that drives the subject in the contemporary world. In order to prove this assertion and the hypothesis of this thesis, three semiotic-psychoanalytic analyses were done on the following works: All is Full of Love (1999), Flex (2000) and Rubber Johnny (2005) / Chris Cunningham é o objeto de investigação desta tese. Trata-se de um autor reconhecido de videoclipes e narrativas audiovisuais contemporâneas das décadas de 1990 e 2000. Seus trabalhos são permeados por uma temática de suma importância e ampla discussão no campo de estudos da cultura contemporânea: o tema do corpo e suas estranhezas. A hipótese que se coloca é a de que o videoclipe é um dos principais formatos narrativos audiovisuais do pós-moderno, sob o aspecto da produção de novas estéticas e experimentações artísticas. Tendo isso em vista, a obra de Cunningham acrescenta marcas originais às características próprias da arte contemporânea, especialmente aquela que vem colocando o corpo sob interrogação e o objeto enquanto dejeto. No que diz respeito aos debates que envolvem a arte contemporânea, há uma escuta daquilo que os psicanalistas Jacques-Allan Miller e Gerard Wajcman têm a dizer sobre o lugar do objeto, bem como sobre uma nova forma de olhá-lo, tal qual propõe Didi-Huberman. A respeito do papel do corpo neste mesmo cenário, Santaella traz uma contribuição sobre o mesmo como suporte da arte, além de apresentar as problemáticas específicas do corpo na cultura. The so-called contemporary psychoanalysis, characterized mainly by the breakdown of the theoretical rigidity of the post-Freudian psychoanalytic schools, seeks ways of understanding and new clinical and theoretical positions, in the face of what André Green called non-neurotic structures. This thesis presents the work with patients who arrive at the psychological offices showing common traits among these pictures, which distinguish them from the others, since these patients describe their evils through a distanced speech, without implication, emptied of emotion, without relief, in a thread monotonous. Such patients, considered subjects with symbolic deficits, still have the question of acceleration of time, as an aggravating factor for their condition of being emptied of meaning. For this, the are essential / A clínica psicanalítica se depara hoje com os efeitos de novas realidades psíquicas, a chamada psicanálise contemporânea, caracterizada principalmente pela quebra da rigidez teórica das escolas psicanalíticas pós-freudianas, busca formas de compreensão e de novos posicionamentos clínicos e teóricos diante do que André Green chamou de estruturas não-neuróticas. Esta tese apresenta o trabalho com pacientes que chegam aos consultórios psicológicos demonstrando traços comuns dentre estes quadros, que os distinguem dos demais, pois esses pacientes descrevem seus males através de um discurso distanciado, sem implicação, esvaziado de emoção, sem relevos, em um encadeamento monótono. Tais pacientes, considerados sujeitos com deficit de simbolização, tem ainda a questão da aceleração do tempo, como agravante para sua condição de ser esvaziado de sentido. This interdisciplinary study was intended to reflect on the major changes that involve the aging process and the diversity that characterizes it, going to their meanings and social changes that reflect in the family as an institution. The study objectives were: reflect on the changes the Brazilian family has gone through and the impact of these changes on the role of the elderly in the contemporary family; identify the cultural, social and subjective aspects of the elderly and their families; meet the family dynamics and their meanings for the elderly; understand how the elderly s family structures itself, its development and functioning. Focusing on this, we opted for conducting qualitative research with small groups (elderly and their relatives); the fieldwork - participatory observation of those small groups and long interviews anchored, in dialogue with the specialized literature, the proposed interpretations. The chosen families should meet any of the following requirements for the study: the elderly s family should be experiencing changes in social aspect (retirement; unemployment, volunteering, widowhood, financial hardship); the elderly in the family as the primary provider (household income is centered on the elderly s pension); the elderly as caregiver for grandchildren; the family as caregiver for the elderly; the elderly experiencing motivating experiences. Everyone involved in this research (elderly and family) accepted to participate. The questionnaire for the interview was composed of open-ended questions (this was seen as a provocation to the dialogue and within the limits, reminders, so that it was possible to have material for comparison). The technique used for analysis made it possible to build a multiplicity of complex structures, overlapping or tied to each other, which may be different, irregular and that initially should be learnt and then interpreted and presented. (GEERTZ, 1989) Content analysis was also performed with the aid of a software (International QSR Nvivo 9 project-Environmental Change Down East), developed by researchers working with qualitative research in the area of social sciences. The family roles in today's world have changed due to the complexity of situations created by economic and sociocultural factors directly affecting the family dynamics. The basic functions of the elderly in the family are varied, above all others as the educator, with specific functions such as ensuring religious, cultural, economic and social aspects, while the role of the family (family group) is to take care of the children, the elderly and the sick. Knowledge about the role of elderly people in the contemporary family allowed for paths to professional practice. We also believe that the studied aspects can contribute to a new theoretical and interdisciplinary perspective of the object and, especially, contribute to the training of health, social sciences and education professionals. We believe that by giving voice to seniors, we provoke their own change and consequently help in breaking down the prejudices and myths about them, enabling the opening of roads to the rescue of their active citizenship and the achievement or maintenance of their place in the family and in society. It is concluded that the study is a tool for professionals who seek a better understanding of the variables that interfere with aging, family and the community / A família e o idoso são parte essencial do cuidado de enfermagem, sendo necessário que o profissional se abra para a família para compreender experiências e visões de mundo. Neste estudo de caráter interdisciplinar buscou-se refletir sobre as principais mudanças que envolvem o processo de envelhecimento e a diversidade que o caracteriza, indo ao encontro dos seus significados e das mudanças sociais que rebatem na família como instituição. O estudo teve como objetivos: refletir sobre as modificações pelas quais a família brasileira tem passado e as repercussões dessas mudanças no papel do idoso na família contemporânea; identificar os aspectos culturais, sociais e subjetivos do idoso e seus familiares; conhecer a dinâmica familiar e suas significações para o idoso; compreender como a família do idoso se estrutura, seu desenvolvimento e funcionamento. Com esse foco optou-se por realizar pesquisa qualitativa com pequenos grupos (idosos e seus familiares);o trabalho de campo - observação participativa daqueles pequenos grupos e longas entrevistas ancorou, em diálogo com a literatura especializada, as interpretações propostas. As famílias escolhidas deviam preencher algum dos seguintes requisitos para o estudo: a família do idoso estar vivenciando modificações no aspecto social (aposentadoria; desemprego, voluntariado, viuvez, dificuldade financeira); a família tendo o idoso como o principal provedor (a renda familiar está centrada na aposentadoria do idoso); o idoso como cuidador dos netos; a família como cuidadora do idoso; idoso vivenciando experiências motivadoras. Todos os envolvidos nesta pesquisa (idosos e familiares) aceitaram a participação. O roteiro de entrevista foi constituído por perguntas abertas (este roteiro foi entendido como um conjunto de provocações para o diálogo e no limite, lembretes, para que fosse possível ter um material passível de comparação). A técnica utilizada para análise possibilitou construir uma multiplicidade de estruturas complexas, sobrepostas ou amarradas umas às outras, que podem ser diferentes, irregulares e que, inicialmente, procurou-se apreender e depois interpretar e apresentar. (GEERTZ, 1989) Na análise de conteúdo recorreu-se também, ao auxílio de um software (QSR internacional Nvivo 9 projeto-Environmental Change Down East), desenvolvido por pesquisadores que trabalham com pesquisa qualitativa na área das ciências sociais. Os papéis familiares no mundo atual modificaram-se dada a complexidade de situações criadas por fatores socioculturais e econômicos que afetaram diretamente a dinâmica familiar. As funções básicas dos idosos na família são variadas, destaca-se a de agente educador, com funções específicas como zelar pelos aspectos religiosos, culturais, econômicos e sociais, sendo papel da família (grupo familiar) cuidar das crianças, idosos e doentes. O conhecimento sobre o papel do idoso na família contemporânea possibilitou mostrar caminhos para a prática profissional. Acreditamos também que os aspectos estudados podem contribuir para uma nova perspectiva teórica e interdisciplinar do objeto e, especialmente, contribuir para a formação de profissionais da área da saúde, ciências sociais e educação. Acreditamos que ao darmos voz aos idosos, provocamos sua própria mudança e conseqüentemente ajudamos na quebra de preconceitos e mitos a seu respeito, viabilizando a abertura de caminhos para o resgate da sua cidadania ativa e a conquista ou manutenção de seu espaço na família e na sociedade Conclui-se que o estudo é uma ferramenta de trabalho para os profissionais que buscam uma melhor compreensão das variáveis que interferem no envelhecimento, família e a comunidade
