There is great truth to be found in the thought that whatever I do today, will never come close to what I will do tomorrow. It is within the simplicity of such thought that we foresee the build-up of the being through the body and experiences lived by the body. The present work is an attempt at sharing a personal research over the topic of the body through a contemporary perspective. The body as performatic tool for the understanding and interconnection of art and life is the prerogative for the dialogue proposed here. Through the study of some writers and artists, a personal language comes forward and presents a text to be read fully or partially: as a whole or as fragments.

The central idea of this paper is to make a critical review of the gaucho archetype analyzed from his corporality and identity. Corporality that recreates during a particular territoriality: the pilgrimage on horseback to the Our Lady Basilica at Lujan, Argentina. The purpose of this reviewing is the search of empirical connections among the diverse social objects, the traditionalist displacement and the religious practice, where corporality becomes substantial as catalyzer of those subjacent differentiations, non-viewed, under an apparent homogeneity.From there, it looks to break up the ingenuous vision of a unique and universal model of being gaucho, pilgrim and Argentine. / La idea central que organiza este trabajo parte de la revisión crítica del arquetipo gaucho analizado desde su corporalidad e identidad. Corporalidad que se recrea durante una particular territorialidad: la peregrinación a caballo hacia la basílica de Nuestra Señora de Luján, en la ciudad de Luján, Argentina. El propósito de esta revisión es la búsqueda de conexiones empíricas entre los sujetos sociales diversos, el movimiento tradicionalista y la práctica religiosa, en que la corporalidad se hace sustantiva como catalizadora de estas diferenciaciones que subyacen, inadvertidas, por debajo de una aparente homogeneidad. Y a partir de allí, romper con la visión ingenua de un único modelo posible e universal del ser gaucho, peregrino y argentino.

Como ponto inicial para esta tão complexa discussão, partimos de um estudo do conceito de Centelha da Vida (termo metafórico criado pelo diretor inglês Peter Brook para falar sobre a ¿vida¿ que emana de uma cena e a torna interessante e envolvente para quem a assiste) e ampliamos, postumamente, a discussão para outros autores como: Stanislavsky, Grotowski e Burnier. Para tanto, adotamos o pressuposto do ator como uma corporeidade que se relaciona com outras corporeidades (que no caso seriam os demais atores e o público) utilizando como suporte as teorias de Merleau-Ponty e os estudos de Antônio Damásio sobre corpo e mente. Como forma de investigação, propomos duas frentes de laboratórios práticos de criação: a pesquisa com a linguagem de sinais aplicada à cena e uma observação e análise do processo de criação da peça ¿Intersecções: peças curtas de Harold Pinter¿. O intuito de tais laboratórios foi efetuar uma investigação sobre a questão da organicidade da representação do ator, aproveitando a semelhança entre as essências dos conceitos de Centelha da Vida, verdade teatral e organicidade / Abstract: This work aims to carry out a series of reflections on the phenomenon of the presence of ¿life¿ during the actor¿s performance. As a starting point for such a complex discussion, we consider the study of the concept Spark of Life (a metaphorical term minted by English director Peter Brook to describe the ¿life¿ which emanates from a scene making it interesting and involving for the audience) further extending the discussion to other authors such as: Stanislavsky, Grotowski, and Burnier. In order to accomplish our objective, we have adopted the presupposition of the actor as a corporality who interacts with other corporalitys (being them other actors and the audience) using as theoretical support Merleau-Ponty¿s theory and Antônio Damásio¿s studies about body and mind. As an investigative method we have proposed two different practical creation laboratories: the research on sign language applied to the scene, and the observation and analysis of the creation process of the play ¿Intersections: Harold Pinter¿s short plays¿. The thesis tries to explore characteristic methods of expression and topical schemes that connect contemporary works of art, and at the same time puts them into the context of art history, sociocultural theories of sex and gender, and current media production. Essa pesquisa de cunho etnográfico teve como objetivo compreender o universo sociocultural da criança para o povo indígena Yudja, habitante do Parque Indígena do Xingu, ao norte de Mato Grosso. O universo sociocultural da criança é desvelado nesse estudo por meio dos cuidados destinados às crianças e uma análise dos modos de aprender, tanto no âmbito escolar quanto das relações sociais presentes na aldeia. A análise desenvolvida parte do estudo das concepções e teorias circunscritas à antropologia da criança e etnologia indígena, como a noção de pessoa, a concepção de criança; a corporalidade e os modos de construção e circulação de conhecimento para essa sociedade, Esse estudo teve a intenção de contribuir com as discussões que apontam potencialidades em aproximar as áreas da educação e antropologia, para melhor compreensão, no caso dessa pesquisa, das diversas possibilidades de infância e do lugar que a criança ocupa em uma sociedade assim como as formas de conhecimentos empreendidas em diferentes contextos. Essa pesquisa permitiu articular a corporalidade como aspecto fundamental na definição de cuidados voltados às crianças yudja e aos modos de construção do conhecimento durante seu crescimento. Essa articulação gira em torno da ideia da formação de um corpo preparado e alma protegida como algo da essência da infância para os Yudja. / This ethnographic research aimed to understand the socio-cultural universe of childhood among the Yudja indigenous people living in Xingu Indigenous Park, in northern Mato Grosso State, Brazil. To get acquainted with that universe, the research tried to identify and analyze indicators such as the care treatment their children get, ways of learning that they are exposed to, in at school life as well within the social interaction system prevailing in the indigenous village. Analysis based on studies of the concepts and theories rooted in child anthropology and indigenous ethnology: the idea of person, the concepts of infancy and corporality, the means and ways knowledge is constructed and circulate in the community. Such analysis should enrich the debate about the potencial convergence between the fields of education and anthropology in order to achieve a fully understanding, among other issues, of childhood\'s multiple possibilities, of the place a child is assigned to in a given social group, as well as the strategy to learn these variables in different contexts This research allowed to articulate the corporality as a fundamental aspect in the definition of care aimed at the Yudja children and the ways of building knowledge during their growth. This articulation works around the idea of the formation of a prepared body and a protected soul as part of the essence of childhood for the Yudja.

Cinegéticos por excelência, afirmam os caxinauá, povos falantes de uma língua pano, que a carne de caça (yuinaka) misturada a vegetais como milho (xeki), macaxeira (atsa) e banana (mani) é o que há de mais gostoso e saboroso (nuepeki) em sua sofisticada culinária. Para eles, comer bem constitui uma arte: reúne as pessoas, fortalece o pensamento (xinan), traz alegria (benima). No curso de minha estadia em San Martín, no Alto Purus, os mais velhos não hesitavam em ressaltar a beleza (duapa) de uma pessoa reconhecida por sua generosidade e hospitalidade assim se referiam àquelas consideradas sábias, xinanya, dotadas de um bom pensamento (xinan pepa). O presente trabalho intenta refletir sobre alguns aspectos das relações articuladas em torno do ato de preparar a comida e ofertá-la a alguém, tomando a culinária caxinauá e seus modos à mesa como uma via privilegiada para expressar conhecimentos e colocá-los em circulação. / Being great hunters, the caxinauá, peoples of speakers of a panoan language, say that game meat (yuinaka), when mixed with vegetables such as maize (xeki), macaxeira (atsa) and banana (mani) becomes the finest and most flavorful dish of their sophisticated cuisine. Eating well is to them an art: it gathers people, strenghtens the thought (xinan), brings joy (benima). In the course of my stay at San Martín, in Alto Purus, the oldest did not hesitate to praise the beauty (duapa) of person reputed for his or her generosity and hospitality - thus did they refer to those who are deemed wise, xinanya, gifted with \"good thought\" (xinan pepa). This work aims to reflect on some aspects of the relationships articulated about the act of preparing the food and offering it to another, viewing the caxinauá cuisine and their manners at the table as a privileged way of expressing (pieces of) knowledge and circulating them.

Esta dissertação descreve a Festa do Jongo da Comunidade do Tamandaré em Guaratinguetá, e analisa sua teatralidade, buscando as características presentes nessa manifestação que possam conectar-se ao fazer teatral. Assim, no decorrer do trabalho apresentamos a descrição da festa, seus costumes, sua inserção na comunidade, para enfim discorrer sobre suas características: memória e ritual, poesia, corporalidade, energia, presença e jogo. Através da leitura entre essa manifestação popular e o teatro, questionou-se o fazer teatral e suas possibilidades. / This thesis describes the Jongo festival of the Tamandaré communitys of Guaratinguetá, São Paulo, Brazil. It discusses the festivals and analyses specific features, which are, at the same time, typical characteristica of theatre. The text describes the festival, its traditions and its embediment in the community, to finally reflect about its material manifestation, rituals, poetry, energy, presence and aspects of a game as well as its reflection in the population memory. Through the understanding of the festival, the traditional notion of theater is questioned and possibilities to incorporate features of the festival are being explored.

Esta dissertação apresenta uma análise de aspectos da cosmologia guarani-mbya focada nas relações de alteridade entre os Guarani, as divindades e espíritos, os animais e os brancos. Todo o percurso realizado é atravessado por uma questão fundamental: a da articulação que as narrativas analisadas neste trabalho permite entrever entre o tema da perda da imortalidade e aquele das escolhas distintas realizadas na primeira terra, pelos Guarani e pelos brancos, a respeito do uso da tecnologia e da relação com os demiurgos. O mote clássico do profetismo, ou busca da terra sem mal, é revisitado a partir de uma nova perspectiva, centrada nas concepções a respeito do corpo e suas possibilidades de transformação, e no papel que a oposição sensível entre o perecível e o imperecível adquire na reflexão sobre as relações entre os mundos terrestres e os mundos celestes. O argumento conflui para demonstrar como as reflexões dos Guarani-Mbya aqui abordadas constituem-se em uma crítica xamânica ao fetichismo da mercadoria e ao cristianismo. / This work presents an analysis of aspects of Guarani-mbya cosmology focused on alterity relations among the Guarani, the deities and spirits, animals and white people. A fundamental issue that follows throughout this work is: the link between the theme of the loss of immortality and that of the different choices made in the first land, by Guarani people and white people, which refers to the uses of technology and the relationship with the demiurges. The classic theme of prophetism, or the pursuit of the land without evil, is revisited from a new perspective focused on conceptions of the body and its possibilities of transformation. This also includes the role that the sensible opposition between the perishable and imperishable acquires in reflections concerning the relation between the terrestrial worlds and celestial worlds. The argument converges to demonstrate how the reflections of the Guarani-Mbya presented here constitute a shamanic review on the fetishism of commodities and christianity.

Este trabalho reflete sobre a organização social mura, a partir do estudo de uma das aldeias que compõem o Terra Indígena Cunhã-Sapucaia, localizada no município de Borba (AM). O tema da construção e manutenção da comunidade desdobra-se para o quadro mais amplo das relações multilocais que congregam o universo das demais aldeias dentro do território, organizadas em torno do eixo do rio Igapó-Açu, através de linhas que traçam o espaço político. Linha é um conceito norteador dessa dissertação, uma definição para a relação, ela descortina-se como um modo de pensar de que maneira ela se manifesta em distintos contextos. A aldeia mura como espaço político e cosmopolítico fornece o panorama do qual acompanharemos o processo de fabricação do corpo e definição da noção de pessoa mura, chave para entender o parentesco e o socius. / This work is a reflection about the mura social organization, from the study of one of the villages that make up the Indigenous Area Cunhã-Sapucaia, situated in the city of Borba (AM). The theme of the community construction and maintenance unfolds to the broader picture of multilocal relations that encompass the universe of other villages in the area, organized around the river Igapó-Açu axis, through lines that outline the political space. Line is a guiding concept of this dissertation, a definition of the relationship, it unfolds as a way of thinking as it expresses itself in different contexts. The mura village as a political and cosmopolitical area, provides the context in which we will accompany the body manufacturing process and the definition of mura personhood, key to the comprehension of the kinship and the socius.
