Santos, Viviane Fernandes Conceição dos 21 March 2012 (has links)
This master s degree dissertation is an ethnographic study carried in the Clínica de Nefrologia de Sergipe with fifteen people that accomplish Renal Replacement Therapy type hemodialysis. It s presented an anthropological approach of the theme, focusing the experiences private and collective of those subjects in the clinic daily. Starting from the phenomenological perspective, the present subjective aspects in the established relationships during the treatment were discussed, as their expectations of the possibility of transplants, taking as backdrop the current donation and transplant framework in Sergipe State. Typical difficulties of this boundary condition that put them between body and machine, life and death were explored. The perspective of the corporeality has allowed the identification and understanding of hemodialysis experience dimensions in multiple senses. The world vision and the ethos of the people in treatment can contribute to divest hemodialysis of the sense of personal tragedy and incorporate it as a lifestyle.

The romance follows, in first person, the story of André, middle son of a peasant family, who runs from home to get away to the submissions of the patriarch and to cope with the rejection of the sister after the incestuous act, but returns after the supplications of Pedro, the oldest brother. By the authoritative nexus of the father, always reinforcing the ideas of union and patience, situations of continuous discomfort have to be put up by the protagonist. In order to decipher these relations, the existentialist phenomenology of Merleau-Ponty is used as the theoretical basis. In this approach of Humanist and Cultural Geography, it was possible to identify the diverse tensions that manifests and builds up the place. In the passages which the everyday of the tillage is unraveled, the way the home and the power influx is composed, it was possible to evidence the obtuse and complex feelings that are contraposed in ways that architects a place that is founded on contradictions. André offers a perspective of place that is not a space of bonding, but of attachments. Mainly in the book are the linkages of ancestry, blood, passion, hate, strength, religiousness, survival, bonding, nature, corporeality, imposition, and others; each with its relational possibilities. It is by the way of those attachments that the characters are going to interact at and with the place-Tillage. By the means of the concepts of place-ballet, temporality and home, the notions of the ways by with place and subject are inserted in a profound and tense dialect was reconstructed. In the contrapositions made aware by the limit situations of the novel, it was possible to explore the spatialities of being-in-the-world and comprehend the existential dynamics at the nature of place.

Význam malby a závěsného obrazu v současném výtvarném provozu / Importance of painting and hanging picture in contemporary art scene

Konvalinková, Olga January 2017 (has links)
Master's thesis in all free sections deals with processing colour matter, its possibilities of application in artwork and specifically focusing on gestural and procedual artwork. At first this question is being analyzed from the theoretical point of view, when the thesis is devoted to an overview of selected artists and in their artwork they provide examples of various innovative ways of working with color. Subsequently this gained knowledge is applied in the educational process, where this topic was connected with defined intentions and objectives in the implementation of art assigments. They were held in an art education field teaching practice in primary school, high school and in a private primary art school. The results and data from this practice have been used in a research probe which works with analysis, open coding and conceptual maps. In the conclusion, its findings are summarized in a interpretive report. The thesis also includes author's artwork, which fulfills its illustrative function and personal expression to the topic. It includes both theoretical aspects as well as some knowledge of didactics. The artwork is aswell conceived as self-verifying of non-traditional techniques and even own point of view of the world.

[en] ROBERT WILSON WITHOUT IMAGES: A RADIOPHONIC EXPERIMENT / [pt] ROBERT WILSON SEM IMAGENS: UMA EXPERIÊNCIA RADIOFÔNICA

PAULA CHRYSTINA SCARPIN GONÇALVES 19 December 2017 (has links)
[en] From an interdisciplinary angle that takes in both literature and theater studies, this thesis turns its gaze on both language and sound in the oeuvre of American theater director Robert Wilson in the three decades that separate two of his works: Deafman Glance (1970), a play characterized by the absence of words and sound, and Monsters of Grace II (2013), his first work for radio. Wielding theoretical propositions from postdramatic and performative theater, this analysis investigates the process by which Wilson came to reconcile himself with oral language, as well as exploring new approaches to the use of voice in theater. The central object of this study, Monsters of Grace II is examined in greater detail, be it in the context of productions at the crossroads between theater and radio or as a framework by which to investigate the material and corporeal possibilities of experimentation in radio.

Corporeity is crucial for the integral constitution of the subjects and influences the other factors of human formation (psychic, emotional and intellectual). The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationships between the curriculum of elementary education I of the state of São Paulo and the process of disciplinarization / coloniality of bodies by the teacher's view, the research consists of understanding how the subject of corporeity is presented in the curriculum and analyze if it is adopted from an emancipatory or oppressive perspective. In this sense, the nuclear question that governs the research is: What are and how are the relations between the curriculum and the coloniality of bodies and minds in primary education? The theoretical reference has authors from the post-critical perspective, such as: Foucault and his contributions in relation to the concepts of body docilization, power relations, disciplinary power; Freire, who allowed us to understand the concept of conscious bodies and naive consciousness; Popkewitz and Silva, who addressed the curriculum and its educational influences; Gonçalves and Queiroz, with the presuppositions of corporeity and body; and, finally, Quijano and Mignolo, who expanded the concept of coloniality of power to the problems of gender and sexuality. An essentially qualitative methodological approach was chosen, with the use of documental analysis of PCN’s. In analyzing PCN’s, both the word and the concept of corporeality do not appear, which leads us to question how this document can contribute to the teacher's constructing an emancipatory pedagogical practice. The empirical research consisted of semi-structured interviews with teachers, and for data analysis, the content analysis technique was used. It was concluded that teacher training, both initial and continuing, is still attached to a paradigm of Eurocentric and colonial character, which devalues the body and favors rationality. Myslet z psychedelické zkušenosti - transdisciplinární interpretace / To thin from psychedelic experiences - a transdisciplinary interpretation

Pokorný, Vít January 2016 (has links)
Pokorný, V., To think from psychedelic experiences. Transdisciplinary interpretation. Diseration Thesis, Departement of General Anthropology, Faculty of Humanities, Charles University Prague, 2016 Abstract: The goal of this text is to think from and according to psychedelic experiences. To think from psychededic experiences means to introduce a transdisciplinary model of psychedelic domain. This model is based on autoethnographic, cognitive, phenomenological and psychopharmacological types of analysis. These analyses allow to demonstrate: 1) place of psychedelics in contemporary globalised czech society; 2) possible heuristic (theoretical and experiemental) value of psychedelic experience for understanding human situation. This text interprets psychedelic experience as a process of deteritorialization and reteritorialization that occurs on different, intertwinned levels of our experience, and, thus, it is a contribution to explication of a philosophical concept of intertwinning. Keywords: psychedelic experience, transdisciplinarity, autoethnography, cognitive anthropology, anthropology of experience, enactivism, phenomenology, embodiment, analogy, intertwinning

Tělo pod dohledem. Tělesnost a sexualita v próze Krásné zelené oči. / Body under Supervision. Sexuality and Corporeality in Lovely green eyes novel.

Levy, Veronika January 2018 (has links)
The Diploma Thesis, Body under supervision. Corporeality and Sexuality in the novel Lovely green eyes, focuses on gender analysis of the literary work, which itself deals with gender relations and emphasizes a women's experience. The Lustig's novels setting is full of "feminine" themes and seems to be feminist at first glance. With a closer look you can find an intruder in the form of a "masculine" narrator, depicting the woman mainly as a body and a "thing to look at." The key concept of the thesis is a feminist literary criticism, using the resisting reader method by Judith Fetterley, that draws attention to the existence of a universal male perspective. As every text analysis is discours analysis as well, the other method I will apply will be the discours analysis method. For the analysis of narrator's point of view, I will apply Laura Mulvey's theory of voyeurism, to find out if the text does portray the female experience as erotic. Because of the strong textual interpellation, requiring readers to identify with the narrator's view, it is important to pay attention to the narrator's point of view and find the possibilities of refusing the interpellation of the text. As a starting point for the analysis of the female Holocaust experience, the thesis will focus on Gender aspects of the Holocaust...

Jóga jako nástroj k vědomému tělu z pohledu fenomenologického pojetí tělesnosti / Yoga as a tool for the conscious body from the point of view of the phenomenological concept of corporeality

Pulda Nagy, Sophia Jaroslava January 2020 (has links)
Diploma thesis "Yoga as a tool for the conscious body from the perspective of the phenomenological concept of corporeality" deals with corporeality, the phenomenology of the body and yoga as a tool for finding the harmony of the conscious body. The introduction of the thesis explains the importance of this topic from the perspective of the society-wide concept and also explains the motivation of the author to its processing. The historical background dealing with the Cartesian conception of the body based on Descartes' dualism was described in the theoretical part. The next chapter in the theoretical part was devoted to the comparison of concepts from Cartesian and yoga meditation, and description of the phenomenology of corporeality in Merleau-Ponty. The chapters dealing with the issue of increasing psychic tension in children and youth and the resulting need to deal with the care of the soul were emphasized. The importance of yoga as a meaning of restoring stability was explained in a separate chapter. Individual types of asanas and their effect on the human body were described there as well. The effects of yoga on health in selected research publications were discussed in the practical part along with foreign researches by contemporary scientists and researchers from the ranks of psychologists,...

Blondeau, Juliette 12 1900 (has links)
Among our current hetero-normed society (Butler 1990), visual representations are always tainted with prescribed and gendered cultural codes that are impossible to get rid of. These images actualize and convey power relations (Foucault 1973) that we unconsciously incorporate through our personal identifications and artistic practices. This master's degree in film studies aims, on the one hand, to contribute to the development of a critical and situated (Haraway 1988) research-creation methodology (Boutet 2018) as an academic research exercise by questioning power relations, and, on the other hand, to offer an alternative to nude photography through the conception of an ephemeral light and sound installation. My research question includes a political approach and a research methodology. On the one hand, how does a collaborative autoethnographic research-creation (Chang, Hernandez and Ngunjiri 2012) allows us to rethink the power relations within an artistic practice in order to create images of a female body without reproducing some heteronormative reflexes? On the other hand, how does a critical and self-reflexive feminist queer approach can develop strategies of resistance and consequently avoid the gendered cultural codifications of its context? I argue that by dematerializing the body though a light and sound ephemeral installation practice, based on a collaborative methodology, it would be possible to offer resistance to the heteronormative reflexes currently involved in the visual representation of a female body. This artistic form that intentionally stands out from a traditional visual storytelling would thus become a way of resisting the Male Gaze (Mulvey 1993). My project is a methodological inquiry that investigates the intuitive and qualitative approach of collaborative autoethnography as an inclusive method that allows us to question the ethics of representation. Within the framework of a research-creation methodology, the creative process is regarded as an academic research and allows me to include my other parallel artistic practices into a protean master’s thesis.
