Intersubjetividade e desejo nas relações sociais: o caso dos jogos de representação de papéis / Intersubjectivity and desire in social relationships: the Role-Playing Game case

Danilo Silva Guimaraes 13 February 2008 (has links)
One of the main sources of transformation in human development is through the subjects quest for intersubjectivity. The objective of this work was to understand some aspects of the processes of knowledge construction concerning the self and the other. It was developed through a study focusing intersubjective group relationships. In order to achieve that, we worked with semiotic-cultural constructivist perspective, focusing specially, on the symbolic actions of subjects searching for moments of protagonism and of recognition of one by the others. We tried to establish a link between this search of the subjects and the levinasian notion of desire, though as a subjective movement trying to shelter what exceeds itself on the alterity direction. On the investigation process, we examined an empirical situation involving ludic interactions of Role-Playing Game (RPG) sessions. This game has a particular dynamic towards building objectives and desires by its players. The I-other dynamic relations in Role-Playing Games was analyzed observing the asymmetry of subjective positions, dialogically defined. We did a mapping of these positions and saw that in the role-playing games there is the fruition of an imaginary world reduced and made present in the thought. Finally, we arrived to the assertion that the essential meaning of personal constructions is related to otherness, either present or absent, real or imaginary, in relation to which the self tries to constitute a shared setting.

Povos indígenas e saúde mental: a luta pelo habitar sereno e confiado / Indigenous peoples and mental health: the struggle to live serene and trusting

Flaviana Rodrigues de Sousa 15 May 2018 (has links)
This empirical research discusses points of tension emerging in the interethnic dialogue around indigenous health issues, emphasizing the theme of Mental Health. The tensions were analyzed according to different points of view on the promotion of indigenous health, identified from the production of a mapping that expresses the discursive contents marked by a great divide: on the one hand the western perspective, composed by the State, understood through Policies Public Health Indigenous; of the Unified Health System and its health care; by the Federal and Regional Councils of Psychology; and the World Health Organization. On the other side is the perspective of the indigenous people, especially the Mbya Guarani people, analyzed with the support of anthropological literature, based on the notion of Teko Pora (Bem Viver); of the news produced and transmitted by indigenous collectives; of the narrative content contained in the documentary \"Teko Rexa - Saude Guarani Mbya\" and the speeches present in the news produced by indigenist entities. The notions of \"health\" and \"mental health\" discussed by Gadamer (2006), as well as the notions of \"health\" and \"ethos\" reflected by de Figueiredo (2008), theoretical and methodological reference assumed in this dissertation, importance of the territory in health / disease processes for indigenous peoples, as well as helping to reflect on the tensions present in both perspectives. The data were analyzed from the notion of dialogical multiplication (Guimaraes, 2013), within the scope of semiotic-cultural constructivism in psychology. From the identification of present tensions, questions were raised about how to structure care in psychology, reflecting on the possibilities of its transit between different perspectives in health

January 2019 (has links)
(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The dialogical leader is the agent who, through his personal and professional characteristics, allows the idealization and development of educational proposals. In this regard, we also point out that it is from the political and ideological condition of this agent that it arises to change the current scenario of Brazilian education, provoking concern in other dialogical leaderships that are close. The fact is that, when investigating a determined educational proposal that is shared as an alternative, we asked ourselves the following question: how and why do these leaderships arise? And yet, in what way are such proposals being led? Therefore, we envisioned as hypothesis that the characteristics of these characters of education are determining factors for the effectiveness and, mainly, continuity of proposals. As a goal, we then proposed to understand the role of leaders in the construction of an alternative educational proposal, based on the freireana perspective. The research was carried out in a university that offers a Lato Sensu Postgraduate course in Alternatives for a New Education - ANE, which is in the condition of formal education non-traditional, located in the coast of Paraná.Coordinators and creators of the ANE course, the other educators and sympathizers who participated in the meetings and the students enrolled in the course contributed for this research. For this, we used as a research method the case study of Ethnographic Type, with a qualitative approach. As ... (Complete abstract click electronic access below) / Doutor

On the Viability of a Pluralistic Bioethics

Durante, Christopher 03 August 2007 (has links)
In an attempt to promote in-depth dialogue amongst bioethicists coming from distinct disciplinary and religious backgrounds this thesis offers an overview of the current state of bioethics and a critical analysis of a number of the leading methods of addressing pluralism in bioethics. Exploring the critiques and methodological proposals coming from the social sciences, the contract theorists, and the pragmatists, this study describes the problems which arise when confronting moral and religious diversity in a bioethical context and examines the ability of these various methodologies to adequately resolve these matters. Finally, after a discussion of the benefits and the potential problems of each of the aforementioned schools, a methodological model labelled “Pragmatic Perspectivism” is set forth as a potential conceptual framework through which a bioethical theory for a secular yet religiously pluralistic society may be forged.

Listening to the voice of children : systemic dialogue coaching : inviting participation and partnership in social work

Olsson, Ann-Margreth E. January 2010 (has links)
This is a study in and about systemic coaching in social work – systemic, and, as it unfolded, dialogical coaching, later named Dialogue Coaching (DC). Focus lies on what the conducted coaching brought forth, generated and created in the context of social work and for the members of the participating social welfare organisations. My specialities as coach became to inspire social workers to invite clients and especially children into partnership, making their voices heard, both in the written text and in the process of social investigations. The study was integral parts of commissions (and vice versa) of the County Administrative Board of Scania, Sweden, in my profession as systemic consultant and supervisor in Sweden. It was a study in how dialogical communication could improve how social workers, listening to the children’s invitation, could make children’s voices more heard in social investigations. In all, 55 social workers in seven municipalities participated in the dialogical participatory action research (DPAR) study, developing coaching and improving the dialogical interaction in social investigations. Focus moved from collecting data for decision-making, about what would be best for the child and other clients, to focusing on the changing process in relation to the participating clients, including children when they wanted to and could, co-creating new orientation on how to go on. The focus on communication and dialogue in the coaching changed and developed the participants’ approach in relation to clients and one another and others. In the emerging awareness of how we reciprocally and reflexively cocreate occurrences and outcomes, including who we become in relation to one another, the participating social workers’ awareness of the impact of their own contributions, and their own importance in relation to children and other clients, also improved. The expressions listening ears and listening questions were invented, capturing my, the coach’s, participation of placing myself completely 8 at the other participants’ disposal, completely accessible in the mutual responsiveness in the moment – being here and now in the present. The systemic methods and techniques were reflexively influenced and adapted from within the relational dynamic of joint actions in the dialogical interplay, metaphorically presented as peloton cycling in a voyage tour, becoming living tools in both the social workers’ practice and the coaching researcher’s practice, facilitating learning-by-doing with methods and approach connected to Appreciative Inquiry (AI). One of the living tools was reflecting teams emerging also into so called delta-reflecting teams with open narrating included.

The dialogical relationship between adolescents and parents : prevention of risk behaviour / Bailey E.

Bailey, Estelle January 2011 (has links)
Risk behaviour amongst adolescents represents a major public health challenge in South Africa particularly when considering the statistics on sexually active youth, adolescent pregnancies, smoking, drinking and drug abuse amongst the youth. Although various reasons can be given to explain this phenomenon, the parent–adolescent relationship has proven to be a huge factor in the prevention of risk behaviour. However, even though the importance of such a relationship has been proven, risk behaviour amongst adolescents still persists. This study specifically looks at the dialogical parent–adolescent relationship and how adolescents who engage in risk behaviour are affected by the relationship and how it can prevent risk behaviour. The content of section A explains the orientation towards the research, the problem rationale and the goals and objectives of the study. The researcher followed a qualitative approach as she tried to obtain an understanding of adolescent risk behaviour and how the nature of the dialogical parent–adolescent relationship could prevent such risk behaviour. Semi–structured interviews were conducted with five girls and three boys who lived in Pretoria, as well as with their parents. The adolescents were between the ages of 14 and 17 and all engaged in risk behaviour. In section B a literature study is given with a brief outline of the methodology that was used. Specific focus falls on the findings of the study. Section C contains the summary, evaluation and conclusions of the overall study. This research was done in order to make recommendations to parents of adolescents who engage in risk behaviour as a possible way to prevent it. This study highlighted how unprepared and uninformed parents were in terms of their parental skills and the needs of their adolescent children. The study also highlighted the need of the adolescents to be validated, and the lack of understanding and warmth in the manner that their parents relate to them. Adolescents still need parental guidance and a sense of belonging. The very poor relationships that exist between parents and adolescents strengthened the researcher’s hypothesis that the adolescents get involved in a range of dubious activities and their parents’ ineffectiveness to intervene and assist their adolescents through these challenging times, may lead to risk behaviour. / Thesis (M.A. (Psychology))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2012.

Konzen, Andréa Aparecida January 2015 (has links)
The present thesis presents a research focused to the analysis of dialogical relationships produced in interactions of children with the affective pedagogical agent Maga Vitta in the digital game Città. The motivation for the development of this work is the possibility of making the relationship between the agent and the kids in the classroom more natural and more contextualized, checking in what manner this study can contribute to create dialogue mechanisms between the agent and the student aiming digital games in education, in the children’s school context. The present work is also related to the researches committed to the digital game Città, aiming the development and improvement of the educational environment, once it is constantly evolving. From the interaction of children with this digital game, we aim to solve the problem of research that is focused on verifying how these dialogical relationships of children with affective pedagogical agent occur in the game. For validation purposes of research it was implemented the agent, Maga Vitta, which was thought together with the research group of the CIVITAS project, linked to the laboratory of Studies on language, interaction and Cognition of UFRGS, of Education College at the UFRGS, to do the ecological control of the digital city built by children in the game Città. The idea is to make the children able to reflect on their actions in the game environment, operating with the knowledge that they are building on a sustainable and cooperative town, considering ecological and environmental aspects of a city that we wants to put in balance. The target population is children attending to 4th and 5th grades of elementary school, who make part of the CIVITAS project through the development of virtual cities using alternative materials. The results of the experiments have shown that the analysis of dialogic relations on children's interactions and the analysis of data involving issues related to the concepts of Bakhtin, such as production of meanings, utterances and dialogical relations, bring significant contributions to the search area.
