Ekonomická a sociální statistika genderovým pohledem / Economic and social statistics by gender perspective

Stanislavová, Barbora January 2011 (has links)
Gender statistics should play an important role in any analysis, because many indicators must be declared for men and for women separatelly. So, it is not just about demographic data, which are thus presented with a matter of course, but also the economic a social data, where is this sort often neglected. The subject of the dissertation "Economic and social statistics by gender perspective" is to provide a coherent picture of the need for gender statistics, because the data in this area for men and women are often very different and it is necessary to identify possible causes and options for their removal.

Cesta k udržení vedoucí pozice společnosti RWE na trhu zemního plynu v ČR / The way to maintain the leading position of company RWE on the market of natural gas in the Czech Republic

Kvapil, Jaroslav January 2012 (has links)
The thesis deals with the position of company RWE on the market of natural gas as a method used for heating in the Czech Republic and the marketing tools which will help to maintain this position. For this purpose the analysis of natural gas market in the Czech Republic is made as a part of the marketing plan followed by suggested steps that should prevent the household customers from leaving. Alternative ways of heating are also covered briefly, and some of them are advised to be focused on by RWE in future. The goal of the thesis is to propose a solution which would inspire the marketing team of RWE in their own marketing planning.

Regionální diferenciace Indické republiky / Regional differentiation of the Republic of India

Augustová, Pavla January 2011 (has links)
Thesis "Regional differentiation of the Republic of India" is focused on the analysis of regional differentiations within particular Indian states and territories and as well as on the analysis of economic indicators and state of the Indian economy as a whole. In order to analyze the indicators at national level, the thesis includes direct comparison with the indicators of the Chinese economy, which is India's main trading partner and competitor in the Asian region at the same time. The results of economic, demographic and socio-economic analysis are summarized in the final chapter of the thesis. The main goal of the thesis is to outline the perspectives in moderating economic differentiations of India and to design solutions to mitigate these differentiations.

Možnosti a bariéry uplatňování yield managementu ve vybraném hotelu / Opportunities and barriers of yield management in a selected hotel

Semrádová, Michaela January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with the theory of yield management as an effective method of achieving business goals, presenting its application on a particular accommodation facility. As a result of analyzing the existing yield management techniques used in the facility, further solutions are proposed to increase its revenue by means of using yield management techniques of differential pricing, overbooking and demand segmentation.

Interakce lidských imunitních buněk s ultramalými nanočásticemi / Interaction of human immune cells with ultrasmall nanoparticles

Javorová, Pavlína January 2021 (has links)
The application of nanoparticles in the field of theranostics requires knowledge of the specific interaction of nanoparticles with the immune system. One of the first cells with which nanoparticles interact when given to the body are cells of the mononuclear phagocytic system. The aim of this diploma thesis is to prepare an in vitro study that describes the effect of two types of gold and three types of silicon ultra-small nanoparticles on immune cells. Immune cells are presented in the form of primary PBMCs isolated from whole blood , and cells of monocytic cell line THP-1 in the form of monocytes and differentiated macrophages. During the experiments with primary cells, emphasis is placed on maintaining the concept of personalized protein corona. After characterization of the immune cells used, cells are subsequently stimulated with ultra-small nanoparticles and the influence of these nanoparticles on cell metabolism, viability, degree of differentiation and secretion of pro- and antiinflammatory cytokines is monitored. The outcome takes into account further use of the tested nanoparticles in the field of biomedicine. Key words: primary monocytes, cell lines, differentiation, macrophages, cytokines, cytotoxicity

Genetická variabilita sysla obecného (Spermophilus citellus) v České Republice / Genetic variability in the European ground squirrel (Spermophilus citellus) in Czech Republic

Starcová, Magda January 2011 (has links)
The European ground squirrel (Spermophilus citellus) (hereinafter EGS) is under the Law on Nature Protection and is included as a critically endangered into the Red List of Endangered Species. In the Czech Republic, which represents the northwestern border of the species range, EGS currently occurs on 34 localities, which are relatively small and isolated from each other. The spread of this species to central Europe was connected with neolithic deforestation. Disjunctive type of distribution of EGS was caused by strong decline of its abundance during the second half of the 20th century due to changes in field management, fragmentation of landscape and other factors. It can be expected that this process left traces on the genetic structure of EGS populations. The major objective of this study was a detailed analysis of genetic variability of EGS populations in the Czech Republic and searching for corelations with available data about its biology and demography. It was used 13 microsatellite loci and in total were processed 408 samples from 27 localities in CZ and 3 samples from one Hungarian locality as an outgroup. With aid of various methods, details of substructure and diferentiation of individual populations, genetic variability, degree of inbreeding and geographic distribution of genetic variability...

Regionální identita a regionální diferenciace pobaltských zemí / Regional identity and regional differentiation of the Baltic countries

Miškovský, Josef January 2012 (has links)
Title: Regional Identity and Regional Differentiation of the Baltic Countries Author: Josef Miškovský Key words: regional identity, regional differentiation, Baltic States, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania he thesis deals with the regional identity of the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) at different scale levels. The theoretical baselines of the thesis are the dynamic concepts of institutionalization of the regions and their formation, disappearance and restoration. This abstract view on the formation of regional identity is based on theories of social identity and social representation. In the thesis, mainly the "macroidentity" of the Baltic States, i.e. their formation in the space between the European and the Russian spheres and within the superior regions of northern, eastern and central Europe is evaluated. The concepts of these regions and subsequently their influence on the territorial identity of the Baltic States are discussed. The elements of internal identity of individual Baltic States, according to which the Baltic region can be considered a distinctive region within the concept of northeastern Europe, are discussed in later section of the thesis. Attention is also paid to the internal coherence of the Baltic region and the elements that integrate or disintegrate this...

Diferenciační potenciál polydendrocytů po fokální cerebrální ischemii / Differentiation potential of polydendrocytes after focal cerebral ischemia

Filipová, Marcela January 2012 (has links)
Ischemic injury leeds to sequence of pathophysiological events, which are accompanied by a release of growth factors and morphogens that significantly affect cell proliferation, migration and also their differentiation. Following ischemia, besides enhanced neurogenesis and gliogenesis in subventricular zone of the lateral ventricles and gyrus dentatus of the hippocampus, neurogenesis/gliogenesis also occurs in non-neurogenic regions, such as cortex or striatum. Recently, the attention was turned to a new glial cell type, termed polydendrocytes or NG2 glia. Under physiological conditions, these cells are able to divide and differentiate into mature oligodendrocytes due to they have often been equated with oligodendrocyte precursor cells. Based on recent reports, polydendrocytes are also able to generate protoplasmic astrocytes (Zhu et al., 2008) and neurons in vitro (Belachew et al., 2003), however their ability to differentiate into astrocytes or neurons under physiological or pathological conditions is still highly debated. Therefore, we have investigated the effect of different growth factors and morphogens, specifically brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and a morphogen sonic hedgehog (Shh), on...
