The objective of the paper was to monitor and to evaluate the project of a civic association MESADA, which is one of the possibilities of how to reduce the unemployment rate and it deals with the issue of employing persons who have been unemployed for a long time. These people are mostly low educated, health handicapped, to old or to young without experience or members of ethnic minority. The aim of project is to provide these individuals with better work opportunities and to improve their social status because they are more likely to become socially deprived. Research was carried out in a civic association MESADA. Data for the paper were obtained by the interview method and by the document analysis.

Diploma thesis "People with mental handicap on the employment market in the Czech Republic" deals with employment services offered to people with disabilities - especially with mental disabilities - in Czech Republic. Low employment of the people with mental handicap is discussed as all-society problem deepening the social exclusion of these people in addition to burdening national budget. Diploma thesis analyzes employment services which state provides and compares it with non-governmental organizations' services. It targets strengths of both types of these services and possibilities of connection and aims at solutions of low employment problem of people with mental disabilities. Interviews with stakeholders participating at solutions of this problem are also parts of diploma thesis.

Detta arbete ämnar att beskriva hur arbetsmarknaden för sjökaptensexaminerade från examensåren 2010, 2013 och 2016 ser ut. Här redogörs skillnader och likheter mellan såväl de tre examensåren som svenska lärosäten med sjökaptensutbildning. Genom att kombinera en kvantitativ enkätundersökning med kvalitativa inslag ges en inblick i situationen för den undersökta gruppen. Arbetet är en mixed mode-studie, datainsamlingsmetoder bestående av webb- post- och telefonenkät användes. Resultatet visar att en stor andel av respondenterna arbetar inom sjöfartssektorn, men att sysselsättningsgraden till sjöss har minskat jämfört med tidigare studier. Arbetsbrist har blivit en faktor att ta hänsyn till för sjökaptensexaminerade som är nya på arbetsmarknaden. En högre procentuell andel respondenter från Sjöfartshögskolan i Kalmar är sysselsatta till sjöss medan Chalmers i Göteborg representeras av en högre sysselsättning i land. Arbetets slutsats är att arbetsmarknaden för nyutexaminerade från sjöbefälsskolarna i Sverige genomgår en förändring. / This thesis focuses on study of the employment market for graduates from the Master Mariner degree that graduated in 2010, 2013 and 2016. It is a comparison between the three years of graduation within two Swedish universities that offer the Master Mariner programme. Data collection with combined quantitative and qualitative techniques within a mixed-mode study. Results show a majority occupied within the maritime sector, although vessel-based employment has decreased compared to past studies and redundancy is an emerging element. The percentage occupied within the vessel-based sector is higher in Kalmar Maritime Academy, Linnaeus University, compared to Chalmers University, the results from which show a higher concentration in shore-based occupation. The conclusion of this thesis is that the employment market for graduates from maritime institutions in Sweden is undergoing change.

La compétition et la compétitivité ne doivent pas être exclusivement étudiées sous l’angle de l’entreprise. A l’instar de la matière économique, le droit du travail a su s’en emparer afin d’instaurer un cadre régulateur et protecteur pour les salariés. Son intervention n’est toutefois pas uniforme et s’adapte aux compétitions rencontrées. La première s’organise en amont de la conclusion du contrat de travail et oppose des demandeurs d’emploi. Elle est marquée par un déséquilibre et une inégalité manifestes que le droit du travail cherche à atténuer. Dans la seconde compétition, se rencontrent des entreprises souhaitant préserver et dynamiser leur compétitivité. Toutefois, les droits des salariés ne doivent pas être sacrifiés sur l’autel de la performance. Une intervention du droit du travail est là encore exigée. Ainsi, dans chacune de ces compétitions, des garde-fous sont érigés permettant d’offrir aux salariés, actuels ou en devenir, des garanties appropriées. / Competition and competitiveness should not be exclusively reviewed through the prism of companies. In the manner of economic matter, labour law was able to seize these notions, in order to establish a protective regulatory framework of the employees’ interests. Nonetheless, its intervention is not unvarying, and manages to adapt itself to the encountered competitions. Firstly, it can be found before the conclusion of the contract of employment, and brings into opposition job seekers against one another. It is marked by a disequilibrium and a patent inequality which labour law seeks to level. In the second type of competition, companies wishing to preserve and uplift their competitiveness meet. However, employees’ rights ought not to be sacrificed on the altar of performance. There again, an intervention of labour law is required. Thus, in each of those competitions, legal safeguards are erected, permitting the access for current or soon-to-be employed workers, to suitable guarantees.

The name of my dissertation, consequently The Position of the Handicapped Persons on the Employment Market in the Písek´s Region indicates that the authoress occupies with the employment rate problems of group of these persons. Not only the authoress practical experiences have caused that she has chosen this subject-matter but the topicality of this subject-matter in itself. The handicapped persons belong into the group of risky persons which are more endangered by unemployement that is why is suitable to devote them to a large extent the protection and care. The dissertation has aim to map out the position of the handicapped persons on the labour market in the Písek´s region by means of the theoretical and practical researching of two chosen instruments exploited by the Employment Agency (Labour Office) in Písek during work with this target group the counseling program of The civic society MESADA and physiotheraphy. Part of work is a proposition of sociotechnical reccomendations for improvement in the quality of mentioned procedures in the concrete conditions of the Employment Agency in Písek and MESADA too. The theoretical part passes from the explanation of basic conceptions of the given issues to description of two concrete instruments exploited for the work with handicapped persons counseling program and physiotheraphy and at the same time it describes the civic society MESADA and Labour Office in Písek. The practical part is introduced by the short characteristics of the Písek´s region from the point of view both the general unemployment and from the point of view of portion of the handicapped persons on the total unemployment (joblessness). The results of research are summarized in the graphic form or table graphs which took place in the form of questionning with the technique of structural interview. The structural review was realized with 10 persons which participated in the physiotheraphy in the year of 2008 and with 31 persons which were undergoing the counseling program from 2004 to 2008.
