Motivationsklimaten i undervisning av Idrott & Hälsa / Motivational climate in the teaching of PEJoakim, Karlsson January 2016 (has links)
Abstract Background As future physical education teachers there is an interest in creating lessons that makes the pupils committed to the subject. The National Agency for Education describes in its curriculum for PE that the subject aim to ensure that pupils develop a long term interest in physical activity (Skolverket, 2011). As a teacher in PE there is different ways to achieve the National Agency goals. Interesting is how the motivation climate that the teacher creates affects the student's perceived- joy and competence, which in turn can contribute to a long term interest in the subject. Purpose This study aims to investigate the impact various motivational climates have on the student perceived- competence and joy. The study is targeted against the high school education of physical education. Method The method used to examining the issues was quantitative in the form of polls. A total of 55 persons participated in the survey. The participants were high school students in the grades 7, 8 and 9. Result The results showed that a motivational climate that was perceived as highly task-orientated was the motivational climate that got students to feel the most joy and competence. Overall, the results show that boys felt more competent and joyous than girls. Discussion The results from this study are similar to what previous researches had already concluded. But whether the perceived joy is a result of the perceived competence or the perceived motivational climate must be examined more closely. Nevertheless, it is the highly perceived task-oriented motivational climate that have the greatest effect on perceived- joy and competence. Totalt deltog 55 stycken i enkätundersökning.

[en] BETWEEN JOUISSANCE, ANXIETY AND WISH: CONNECTIONS AND PARADOXES / [pt] ENTRE GOZO, ANGÚSTIA E DESEJO: ARTICULAÇÕES E PARADOXOSARTHUR FIGER 19 December 2013 (has links)
teoria psicanalítica, a saber: gozo e desejo. A partir desta investigação, serão
mente (2011, p. 195). / [en] This dissertation seeks to clarify, mainly in the theories of Sigmund Freud
and Jacques Lacan, the articulation of two central concepts of psychoanalytic
theory, namely jouissance and desire. From this research, possible interlacements,
convergences and correlations will be proposed between these two key terms of
psychoanalysis, often treated as opposites, divergent and antagonistic, both in
theory and in clinical psychoanalysis. The concept of anxiety will also be
addressed, since it is located by Jacques Lacan as a middle term between
jouissance and desire (1962-63/2005, p. 193). The notions of a jouissance in the
service of desire or productive jouissance and a jouissance that stabilizes are
some of the proposals that will be presented along the text. Once the subject of
psychoanalysis is inserted into the culture, some cultural phenomena are observed
and discussed throughout the work as expressions of both jouissance and desire
and, why not, of anxiety. We also intend to discuss handling, care and the
importance of the singularity of jouissance in the psychoanalytic clinic – tell me
how you enjoy (jouis) and I ll tell you who you are – in other words, how the
unique mode of jouissance and the unique relationship established by each subject
with jouissance, can contribute to the direction of the treatment. Our compass in
this paradoxical and nebulous course from desire to jouissance will be Miller s
words: the jouissance doesn´t lie (2011, p. 195).

O sintoma psicomotor: a problemática do gozo na relação mãe-filho / The psychomotor symptom: the issue of joy in the mother-child relationshipSevero, Paula Werner 28 January 2011 (has links)
This research sought to study the psychomotor symptoms in childhood, it includes disturbances such as dyslexia, dysorthographies, problems with coordination and balance and some diagnoses of Hyperactivity and Attention Deficit Disorder which cases have been exponentially increased at the present. The etiology of the psychomotor symptoms for a long time remained obscure and exclusively related to injury and neuronal disorders, which has left as the only alternatives medical and reeducational treatments. With the psychoanalytic studies started by J. Lacan and M. Mannoni about these symptoms, the etiology became gradually clearer, and it was related to the family fantasy in which the child is immersed as objects of satisfaction. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the constitution of this symptom, the enjoyment and fantasy of children and caregivers involved in this relationship. To achieve these goals, it was made a bibliographical research on psychoanalytic concepts and clinical attendances for children with psychomotor symptoms through the Sujeito e Corpo Lab, at the University of São Paulo. The results indicate that the joy in psychomotor symptom involves two people, more often the mother-child, which arise in a relationship of interdependence and leave no space for autonomy and independence necessary for the child development. The psychomotor symptoms are the result of a fantasmatic satisfaction which envolves the children body in this relationship

Analyse de la notion de Décroissance sous l'angle de la théorie d'Économie Générale de Georges Bataille / An analysis of the notion of Degrowth from Georges Bataille’s theory of General EconomyHorrie, Anthony 28 June 2018 (has links)
An economic operation relies, after all, upon one single thing. Upon one of the most elementary things, that is, simply: the use of an object. Such is the root of any economic act, i.e. of any act which, at some time, purports to be useful or profitable. But one effect entailed by such an act is to cancel all the value that such an object may instantaneoulsy present (such as its spell, drollery or, yet, its oddness). In other words, the use of an object implies that the sensitive value of that object be substituted by another sort of value, namely its use value. However, as a matter of fact, the useful employment of something is in no way automatic. Indeed, such a useful employment of things is actually equivalent to a deliberate opposition to the usual course of things, which consists, on the contrary, of a useless expenditure of all things... Still, from a general point of view, such a deliberate act against this usual course of things only achieves, after all, to always increase it. Just because such an act (thus, not being automatic), yet before it may have started to operate, first has to dissipate for itself a whole bunch of available forces. All of this leads us to acknowledge that the true product of an economic operation is always only a better squandering of the riches at disposal. It is according to this point of view that my research has focused on the notion of Degrowth, by combining Georges Bataille’s theory of “general economy” with economist Nicholas Georgescu-Roegen’s works.

Understanding the flow experiences of Web usersPace, Steven, s.pace@cqu.edu.au January 2003 (has links)
This thesis presents a grounded theory of the flow experiences of Web users engaged in information-seeking activities. The term flow refers to a state of consciousness that is sometimes experienced by individuals who are deeply involved in an enjoyable activity. The experience is characterised by some common elements: a balance between the challenges of an activity and the skills required to meet those challenges; clear goals and feedback; concentration on the task at hand; a sense of control; a merging of action and awareness; a loss of self-consciousness; a distorted sense of time; and the autotelic experience.¶ Researchers have recently proposed Csikszentmihalyi's flow theory as a useful framework for understanding the enjoyment experienced by Web users, but they have struggled to operationalise key constructs such as flow and challenge in their quantitative models. This study aimed to address that problem by providing a better understanding of the nature of flow as experienced by Web users engaged in information-seeking activities. The theory that was developed during this study encompasses the following topics:¶
- the role that curiosity and time urgency play in the formation of a Web user's information-seeking goals and subsequent navigation behaviour;¶
- the challenges that Web users face when seeking information, the skills they use in meeting those challenges, and the relationship that exists between challenges and skills;¶
- the important role that focused attention plays in the flow experiences of Web users, elements that help to focus a user's attention, and elements that are distracting; and¶
- various dimensions of the flow experiences of Web users, which include a joy of discovery, a reduced awareness of factors that are irrelevant to the task at hand, a distorted sense of time, a merging of action and awareness, a sense of control, mental alertness, and telepresence.¶
The grounded theory research method that was employed in this study is a primarily inductive investigative process in which the researcher formulates a theory about a phenomenon by systematically gathering and analysing relevant data. The purpose of this research method is building theory, not testing theory. The data that was gathered for this study primarily consisted of semi-structured in-depth interviews with informants of varying gender, age, educational attainments, occupations and Web experience who could recall experiencing flow while using the Web.¶
An important distinction between this study and other investigations into the flow experiences of Web users is the way it goes beyond sheer associations to propose explanations for how and why certain events occur - explanations that are grounded in the data rather than deduced from the literature. This study is the first of its type on this subject, and as such, it provides a useful counterpoint to previous quantitative studies.

Feeling by Doing : The Social Organization of Everyday Emotions in Academic Talk-in-InteractionSandlund, Erica January 2004 (has links)
<p>The present dissertation is concerned with the social organization of emotions in talk-in-interaction. Conversation analytic procedures were used to uncover the practices through which participants in social interaction convey, understand, enact, and utilize emotions that are made relevant to the interaction. The central aim is to describe such practices and the contexts in which they are deployed, and to link emotions to the social actions that they perform or contribute to performing within situated activities. Conversation analytic work has generally not addressed emotions explicitly for reasons discussed in the dissertation, and a second aim was therefore to test the applicability of conversation analysis to emotion research, to theoretically bring together separate fields of inquiry, and to discuss advantages and limitations of a talk-in-interactional approach to emotions. Furthermore, the analytic approach to emotions is restricted to displays and orientations that are made relevant by participants themselves.</p><p>Data consists of video recordings of six graduate school seminars at a large university in the United States, as well as interviews with all 22 participants. From the analyses, three themes emerged; "frustration", "embarrassment", and "enjoyment", and within each, an assortment of practices for doing emotions were found. Frustration was primarily located in the context of violations of activity-specific turn-taking norms. Embarrassment was found to do multiple interactional work; for example, in contexts of repair, teasing, and culturally delicate matters. Enjoyment was found to be collaboratively pursued between and within institutional activities; for example, through reported speech dramatizations, utilization of activity-transitional environments, and playful 'mock' emotions. Timing of gaze aversion, laughter, and gestures were also found to be key to the display and perception of emotions.</p><p>The findings indicate that emotion displays can be viewed as transforming a situated action, opening up alternative trajectories for a sequences-in-progress, and also function as actions in themselves. Furthermore, it was concluded that conversation analysis is indeed a fruitful empirical route for understanding emotions and their role in social interaction.</p>

Predictors of strong sense of coherence and positive attitudes to physical education in adolescentsSollerhed, Ann-Christin, Ejlertsson, Göran, Apitzsch, Erwin January 2005 (has links)
AIMS: The aim of this study was to find variables related to positive attitudes to physical education (PE) and strong sense of coherence (SOC) among adolescents. METHODS: The study included three parts: seven physical tests; a questionnaire which included ways of living, attitudes to PE, and subjective health, the 13-question version of SOC; and information on every student's grades. The study group comprised 301 teenagers (131 girls and 170 boys, aged 16-19 years) attending upper secondary school. Positive odds ratio was used in the logistic regression analyses with SOC and attitudes to PE as dependent variables. RESULTS: Variables related to positive attitudes to PE were strong SOC, high physical capacity, high leisure-time physical activity (PA), high grades in PE, and little time spent watching TV. Variables related to strong SOC were positive attitudes to PE, high grades in PE, very good subjective health, and feeling comfortable in school. Highest physical capacity, highest mean grades, and highest grades in PE were found among adolescents who reported exercise four times or more per week. CONCLUSIONS: An interrelation between attitudes to PE and SOC was shown. The relation between positive attitudes to PE and high scores in SOC indicated that past experiences of PA and PE could contribute to the development of SOC, and actual levels of SOC could influence the persistent attitudes to PE and be important for lifelong PA. One means of identification of favourable or unfavourable health behaviour among young people might be through PA patterns, and relations between attitudes to PE and SOC.
