Militar (Tiradentes Colleges of the Military Brigade), in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, in the
context that they are inserted, identifying socioeconomic and cultural features, tracing their
school trajectory and pointing out the factors that influenced the choice of young people for
the CTBM of their region, with the main theme: ?The entrance of young students at Col?gios
Tiradentes da Brigada Militar: a dream of young people or just a way to get an ending??. This
was developed in two phases. In the first phase, quantitative, after completing the stages of
evaluation and approval of the Project by the Scientific Commission of the School of
Humanities and the Comit? de ?tica em Pesquisa - CEP ? (Research Ethics Committee) of the
Pontif?cia Universidade Cat?lica do Rio Grande do Sul - PUCRS, in order to obtain an
overview of the schools, an online questionnaire was applied, which was answered,
voluntarily, by five hundred and ninety-six (596) students of the seven colleges. In the
second qualitative phase, the data were obtained through semi-structure interviews conducted
individually with twenty-one (21) students, randomly selected, with three (03) per school,
representing each school year (1st., 2nd. and 3rd.). Seven (7) interviews were selected, one
per school, for data?s analysis. The qualitative data were analyzed using the An?lise Textual
Discursiva - ATD (Discursive Textual Analysis) method, proposed by Moraes and Galiazzi
(2013), and complemented with the quantitative data, which were tabulated with Google
Docs?help. Based on the data that emerged from the field, in the studies formulated by several
authors, among them: Estrela (1992), Maffesoli (1996, 1998), Falc?o (2000), Krawczuyk
(2011), Dayrell (2013), Dayrell, Carrano and Maia (2014), Abramovay (2012, 2015), Souza
(2016), in the analysis of documents and field records, it was possible to verify that the young
students of the CTBM reflect a youthful diversity, it is separated by the diversity that
constitutes it (ABRAMOVAY, CASTRO, 2006). They are young people that accompany
their parents?concern about the future and their formation in the present, but they desire selfrealization
and respect for their decisions. Therefore, they are young, like so many other
young people, who experience cultures and contexts, to constitute, as citizens, an integral
human formation. Being in the CTBM and living with their rites is a dream of only a few
students who expressed their affinity with the military career and wish they could continue
their training in the Military Police Higher Course, if it were still possible. However, I also
noticed that it became the dream of most of the young people who, when they first came to
the schools, looking for means of accessing higher education, for the most varied courses, eventually realized how much learning could lead to their lives, considering the studies and
the affective relationships that created and maintained in this space of formation. These young
people give life to school, standing their history, rites and representations, while claiming
changes in what they consider important for personal and group growthness. And, therefore,
they demonstrate that they have a great potential for social contribution and political
idealization for society and for the country they are in, aiming to help other young people to
change their reality, so that they have access to the same opportunities that they had before. / Esta Disserta??o pretende conhecer os estudantes dos Col?gios Tiradentes da Brigada Militar
(CTBM), do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, no contexto em que est?o inseridos, identificando
caracter?sticas socioecon?mico-culturais, tra?ando sua trajet?ria escolar e apontando os
fatores que influenciaram a escolha dos jovens pelo CTBM de sua regi?o, tendo como tema
principal: ?O ingresso de jovens estudantes nos Col?gios Tiradentes da Brigada Militar/RS:
um sonho dos jovens ou s? um meio para se atingir a um fim?? Trata-se de uma investiga??o
quali-quantitativa que foi desenvolvida em duas fases. Na primeira fase, quantitativa, depois
de cumprida as etapas de avalia??o e aprova??o do Projeto pela Comiss?o Cient?fica da
Escola de Humanidades e pelo Comit? de ?tica em Pesquisa (CEP), da Pontif?cia
Universidade Cat?lica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), a fim de obter um panorama geral das
escolas, ocorreu a aplica??o de um question?rio online, que foi respondido, voluntariamente,
por 596 (quinhentos e noventa e seis) estudantes dos sete col?gios. Na segunda fase,
qualitativa, os dados foram obtidos mediante entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas
individualmente com 21 (vinte e um) estudantes, sorteados aleatoriamente, sendo 03 (tr?s) por
escola, representando cada ano escolar (1?, 2? e 3?). Foram escolhidas 07 (sete) entrevistas,
uma por escola, para realiza??o da an?lise dos dados. Os dados qualitativos foram analisados
pelo m?todo de An?lise Textual Discursiva (ATD), proposta por Moraes e Galiazzi (2013), e
complementados com os dados quantitativos, que foram tabulados com aux?lio do Google
Docs. Embasada nos dados que emergiram do campo, nos estudos formulados por v?rios
autores, dentre eles: Estrela (1992), Maffesoli (1996, 1998), Falc?o (2000), Krawczuyk
(2011), Dayrell (2013), Dayrell, Carrano e Maia (2014), Abramovay (2012, 2015), Souza
(2016), na an?lise de documentos e registros de campo, foi poss?vel constatar que os jovens
estudantes dos CTBMs refletem uma diversidade juvenil, que ora se aproxima pelas
caracter?sticas que apresenta, ora se separa pela diversidade que lhe constitui
(ABRAMOVAY;CASTRO, 2006). Que s?o jovens que acompanham a preocupa??o de seus
pais com o futuro e sua forma??o no presente, mas desejam a autorrealiza??o e o respeito de
suas decis?es. Por isso, s?o jovens, como tantos outros jovens, que experimentam culturas e
contextos, para constitu?rem, enquanto cidad?os, uma forma??o humana integral. Estar nos
CTBMs e conviver com seus ritos, est? sendo um sonho apenas de poucos alunos, que
manifestaram afinidade com a carreira militar e desejariam poder dar continuidade ? sua
forma??o no Curso Superior de Pol?cia Militar, se ainda fosse poss?vel. Por?m, tamb?m
constatei que se tornou o sonho da maioria dos jovens que, ao ingressar nas escolas vislumbrando, inicialmente, um meio de acesso ao ensino superior, para os mais variados
cursos, acabaram por perceber quanto aprendizado poder?o levar para suas vidas,
considerando os estudos e as rela??es afetivas que criaram e deram manuten??o nesse espa?o
de forma??o. Esses jovens d?o vida ?s escolas, na manuten??o de sua hist?ria, ritos e
representa??es, ao mesmo tempo em que reivindicam mudan?as naquilo que consideram
importante para o crescimento pessoal e do grupo. E, portanto, demonstraram possuir um
grande potencial de contribui??o social e de idealiza??o pol?tica para a sociedade e para o
pa?s, do qual fazem parte, almejando a seu turno ajudar outros jovens a mudar a realidade que
possuem, para que tenham acesso ?s mesmas oportunidades que eles tiveram.

School, which implies a counterproductive process in education, the basis of which is
a preconceived view of the young person to whom the educational structure is
destined as a passive and amalgamable individual When, in fact, we understand that
there exists a condition opposite to that, that is, of a capable young man, determined
and coherent with his time. The educational policies that derive from this vision are at
the end an evasive process of the students, since they fail in varying degrees, both in
the observation of a concatenated curriculum and teaching procedure and in the
understanding and approach of the diverse desires of the young people with school
and extracurricular subjects to Which their experience in school could contribute. We
understand that this scenario represents, therefore, a school that is outdated for the
young, highlighting as a challenge the need to reestablish a dialogue convergent to
the interests of these subjects and those of the School. Thus, this study intends to
investigate and properly point out the meaning attributed to the School by the young
students through the curricular proposal called Polytechnic High School in a state
public high school in Porto Alegre and from what can be defined as desirable
practices and/or undesirable, and the ways in which they are linked to them or
otherwise seek to assert their goals and values, which should, among other things,
indicate what we consider as a Youth protagonism. / Os estudos no ?mbito das Juventudes apontam um distanciamento entre o campo
de interesse dos jovens e a Escola, o que implica um processo contraproducente na
educa??o, cuja base ? uma vis?o preconcebida do jovem a quem se destina a
estrutura educacional como um indiv?duo passivo e amalgam?vel quando, na
verdade, entendemos existir uma condi??o oposta a essa, ou seja, de um jovem
capaz, decidido e coerente com o seu tempo. As pol?ticas educacionais que derivam
desta vis?o constituem ao cabo um processo evasivo dos estudantes, pois, falham
em diversos graus, tanto na observa??o de um curr?culo e um procedimento docente
concatenados quanto no entendimento e abordagem dos diversos anseios dos
jovens com assuntos escolares e extraescolares para os quais sua viv?ncia na
escola poderia contribuir. Entendemos que este cen?rio representa, portanto, uma
escola que est? ultrapassada para o jovem, evidenciando como desafio a
necessidade de reestabelecer um di?logo convergente aos interesses desses
sujeitos e aos da Escola. Dessa forma, este estudo pretendeu investigar e apontar
propriamente o sentido atribu?do ? Escola pelos jovens estudantes atrav?s da
proposta curricular denominada Ensino M?dio Polit?cnico em uma escola de ensino
m?dio p?blica estadual de Porto Alegre e a partir do que se possa definir como

Previous issue date: 2017-03-20 / This research aims to study the Scientific Language of high school students, expressed in the
written productions in order to specify to what extent Mathematical Modeling contributes to
the development of the Scientific Language. For this purpose, the procedures of Educational
Research Mapping were used, constituting four Maps: identification, theoretical, field and
analysis. The theoretical map, constituted of theoretical references, explains about Modelling
Mathematical, Language and Scientific Language, theoretical contributions of both empirical
and analytic base. Language is understood as one of the semiotic systems, these that make a
culture distinguish itself from the others because it acts as a codification system for others.
The field map, composed from a survey about the production of the Scientific Initiation in a
High School public institution, contains 10 productions elaborated between 2004 and 2012, in
which Modelling Mathematical was used in the process. From them, fragments were extracted
in order to constitute the Guide Map of each production, organized in the three phases of
Modelling Mathematical. For the data analysis, four categories were chosen: linguistic aspects
and mathematical aspects: technical taxonomy, semantic-grammatical processes, visual
representations and mathematical literacy. The results and discussion are contained in the
analysis Map. The results indicate that students make use of scientific language in the
expression of the process of Modelling Mathematical using simultaneously linguistic aspects
and mathematical aspects, both complementary in the production of meanings. In textual
construction, permeated with semiotic resources, they make use of languages whose distinct
functions preponderate, that is, they add another meaning to the existing one. The
development of the skills related to mathematical and scientific literacy was perceived. Thus,
through the use of measures of association and data correlation and standardized score, five of
the productions obtained general performance (average of four categories) above the average
score of high school students, thus characterizing the use of the Scientific Language. Thus, it
is defended the thesis that Mathematical Modeling contributes to the development of the
Scientific Language of High School students since the competent implementation of the
mathematical meaning in the context was evidenced, when verbal expression and visual
representations were used in a way interdependent. / Esta pesquisa objetiva analisar a Linguagem Cient?fica de estudantes do Ensino M?dio
Integrado expressa nas produ??es escritas a fim de especificar em que medida a Modelagem
Matem?tica contribui para o desenvolvimento da Linguagem Cient?fica. Para isso se utilizou
os procedimentos do Mapeamento na Pesquisa Educacional, constituindo assim quatro
Mapas: de Identifica??o; o Te?rico; de Campo; e o de An?lise. O Mapa Te?rico se constitui
de referenciais que versam sobre Modelagem Matem?tica, Linguagem e Linguagem
Cient?fica, aportes te?ricos de base emp?rica e anal?tica. A linguagem ? entendida como um
dos sistemas semi?ticos que se constituem em uma cultura distinguindo-se dos demais, pois
atua como sistema de codifica??o para os outros. O Mapa de Campo, composto a partir de um
levantamento de produ??es oriundas da Inicia??o Cient?fica de uma Institui??o p?blica de
ensino integrado, cont?m dez produ??es elaboradas no per?odo entre 2004 e 2012, nas quais
h? utiliza??o de Modelagem Matem?tica no processo. Extra?ram-se delas fragmentos de modo
a constituir o Mapa-guia de cada produ??o, organizados nas tr?s fases da Modelagem
Matem?tica. Para an?lise dos dados elegeram-se quatro categorias contemplando aspectos
lingu?sticos e aspectos matem?ticos: taxonomia t?cnica, processos sem?ntico-gramaticais,
representa??es visuais e letramento matem?tico. Os resultados e discuss?o est?o contidos no
Mapa de An?lise. Os resultados indicam que os estudantes fazem uso de linguagem cient?fica
na express?o do processo de Modelagem Matem?tica utilizando, simultaneamente, aspectos
lingu?sticos e matem?ticos que s?o complementares na produ??o de significados. Na
constru??o textual, permeada de recursos semi?ticos, fazem uso de linguagens cujas fun??es
distintas preponderam, ou seja, adicionam outro significado ao j? existente. Percebeu-se o
desenvolvimento das habilidades relativas ao letramento matem?tico e cient?fico. Desta
forma, mediante o aux?lio de medidas de associa??o e correla??o de dados e escore
padronizado, cinco das produ??es obtiveram desempenho geral (m?dia das quatro categorias)
acima do ?ndice m?dio dos escores, caracterizando assim o uso da Linguagem Cient?fica.
Sendo assim, defende-se a tese de que a Modelagem Matem?tica contribui para o
desenvolvimento da Linguagem Cient?fica de estudantes do Ensino M?dio uma vez que
evidenciou-se a implanta??o competente do significado matem?tico no contexto, quando
express?o verbal e representa??es visuais foram utilizados de modo interdependente.

Previous issue date: 2017-03-30 / This dissertation presents a qualitative research in education, inserted in thought movements conforming to philosophy of the difference, based on Deleuze?s event concepts and based on the power of life according to Espinosa. The choices we make here it is for a curriculum that goes beyond ideas that are ripe to be used by subjects. It searches on MarlucyParayso and Sandra Corazza's readings the hungers, the desire to satisfy them, establishing other possibilities for thinking, studying and practicing curricula. Data-building process happened at the public school Luiz Eduardo Magalh?es between 2015 and 2016 years in Ipia? town and involved nine students of three grades from high school, three women teachers and one skater who is a former student of this school. The cartography, which permeated the way of thinking this writing-research was based on case study, articulating the bricolage as methodology in movement. First of all, I used some (un)organized strategies, such as: dynamic workshops with music and drawing/painting on canvas, photography production, besides parody, T-shirt making, conversation groups on whatsapp and informal interviews. In this way, from material analyses produced by students and collaborators in our bricoleur experiences, we undertake (im) possibilities to understand High School curricula, as means that (re) configure happenings that push and unleash the intense flow of life like creative potency. / Esta disserta??o apresenta uma pesquisa qualitativa em educa??o, inserida nos movimentos do pensamento da filosofia da diferen?a, com os conceitos de acontecimento (Deleuze) e de pot?ncia de vida (Espinosa). As escolhas aqui elencadas tecem encontros com o pensamento de um curr?culo que racha com as ideias prontas e engessadas, buscando, ? luz de leituras de Marlucy Para?so e Sandra Corazza, as fomes, saciedades provocantes de possibilidades outras para pensar, estudar e praticar curr?culos. A produ??o dos dados envolveu nove estudantes das tr?s s?ries do Ensino M?dio da escola p?blica de Ipia?, Col?gio Modelo Luiz Eduardo Magalh?es, entre os anos de 2015 e 2016, tr?s professoras e um skatista, ex-estudante dessa institui??o. A cartografia, que permeou o modo de pensar essa escrita-pesquisa, fez composi??o com o estudo de caso, articulando uma metodologia em movimento: a bricolagem. Os percursos foram entrecortados inicialmente por algumas pistas (des)organizadas, como oficinas-din?micas com m?sica e desenho/pintura em telas, produ??o de fotografias, que foram atravessadas por outras: cria??o de par?dia, confec??o de camisetas, conversas virtuais pelo grupo de whatsapp e entrevistas informais. Intentamos aqui empreender,a partir de an?lise dos materiais produzidos pelos estudantes e colaboradores,em nossas itiner?ncias bricoleurs, (im)possibilidades de se apreender os curr?culos do Ensino M?dio, como brechas que (re)configuram acontecimentos e ati?am-desencadeiam o fluxo intenso da vida como pot?ncia criativa.

Previous issue date: 2017-08-17 / The present study aims to understand and reflect on the meanings assigned by young students to school in their schooling process, as well as the relationships they establish between the school and themselves, showing the reasons that mobilize them to attend it And their wants and needs in relation to high school. This proposal comes mainly from the particular interest as a teacher of young people, between 15 and 21 years old, students of the 1st and 3rd grades of High School, beings in development, who produce meanings of their experiences in social relations, in the only school of Concei??o da Feira to offer this modality of education, and, based on readings of texts about the relation between Youth(s) and School. For the construction of this investigative work, a dialogue between the theoretical and methodological approaches of the Net of Meanings (RedSig) and of Cartography was woven in the methodological design of qualitative research, believing that they would provide the necessary support to carry out this course. The data were produced procedurally, considering the context and the interactions. In order to gather different perspectives that could be used to compose a meaning map, they were used as a strategy: the direct observation of the context with records in field diaries, the application of a sociocultural questionnaire in order to know the sixteen young people who collaborated with this work, informal talks and dialogue groups. The path taken between reflection, practice and the search for the meanings attributed by young students to school in their schooling process is outlined in this work by discussing issues related to youth, school, and schooling and the ?crisis? of high school, and it contributes to the opening of the dialogue between ideas and theoretical assumptions and the uncovered scenes. Reaching the final itinerary, it was noticed that the meanings attributed by the young students to the school are related to the way he/she sees him/herself on the process of schooling: motivations, established bonds, expectations and frustrations. In this perspective, the meanings were identified and debated from emerging themes in the narratives of the young students who participated in this research. For this reason, the meanings of the school, the relationships of sociability and the projects of life earn a special contour in the data analysis chapter. / O presente estudo tem como objetivo compreender e refletir sobre os sentidos atribu?dos pelos/as jovens-estudantes ? escola em seu processo de escolariza??o, assim como as rela??es que estabelecem entre a escola e si mesmos, evidenciando as raz?es que os mobilizam a frequent?-la e seus anseios e necessidades em rela??o ao ensino m?dio. Esta proposta adv?m, sobretudo, do interesse particular enquanto professora de jovens, entre 15 e 21 anos, estudantes das 1? e 3? s?ries do Ensino M?dio, seres em desenvolvimento, que produzem significa??es de suas experi?ncias na trama das rela??es sociais, na ?nica escola do munic?pio de Concei??o da Feira a ofertar essa modalidade de ensino, e, a partir de leituras de textos sobre a rela??o Juventude(s) e Escola. Para a constru??o desse trabalho investigativo, foi tecida, no desenho metodol?gico de pesquisa qualitativa, uma interlocu??o entre as abordagens te?rico-metodol?gicas da Rede de Significa??es (RedSig) e da Cartografia, por acreditar que essas dariam o suporte necess?rio para a realiza??o desse percurso. Os dados foram produzidos processualmente, considerando-se o contexto e as intera??es. Sendo, assim, buscando reunir diferentes perspectivas que, ao se cruzarem, pudessem compor um mapa de significa??o, foram utilizados como estrat?gia: a observa??o direta do contexto com registros em di?rios de campo, a aplica??o de question?rio sociocultural a fim de conhecer os/as dezesseis jovens que colaboraram com este trabalho, conversas informais e os grupos de di?logo. Previous issue date: 2009-12-09 / The present work aimed to investigate the reality of a public school for an elementary and a high school, in Itupeva, a small town in Sao Paulo with a focus on tests applied to the high school third graders. High school represents an important period of youth, aims to prepare students for the labor market, for university education and citizens training for life in society. But such importance has been questioned given the conditions offered by public educational policies throughout Brazilian history. The survey and analysis of internal and external evaluations that occur annually in Escola Estadual Padre Jos? de Anchieta understood one of the main objects of this survey to know the individuals involved - third grade students - the ratings of the school, bearing in mind the need to think about these subjects as part of the agents capable of transforming it. This work reflects the extent to which evaluations are perceived as relevant to School. The methodological approach involved the research of primary sources and the analysis of theoretical and documentary material, and the case study through a qualitative and quantitative approach. Despite the importance given to evaluation by the school through a unified system, it has centered on the grade, and qualifying, focusing on the promotion of the student. Similarly, external evaluations are centered on individual student performance, committing to results reflect on the quality of education. However, this has been the challenge of this educational institution, which helps to think a larger field of knowledge, which is the public High School Education in Brazil. / A pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar a realidade de uma escola estadual de Ensino Fundamental e M?dio, no munic?pio de Itupeva, interior do Estado de S?o Paulo, com foco nas avalia??es aplicadas aos alunos da terceira s?rie do Ensino M?dio. O Ensino M?dio representa um per?odo importante na educa??o de jovens, visa ? prepara??o para o mercado de trabalho, ao ensino universit?rio e ? forma??o do cidad?o para a vida em sociedade. Por?m tal import?ncia tem sido questionada dadas as condi??es oferecidas pelas pol?ticas p?blicas educacionais ao longo da hist?ria brasileira. O levantamento e an?lise das avalia??es internas e externas que acontecem anualmente na Escola Estadual Padre Jos? de Anchieta compreenderam um dos principais objetos desta pesquisa para conhecer os sujeitos envolvidos os alunos de terceira s?rie nas avalia??es da escola, tendo em vista a necessidade de se pensarem esses sujeitos como parte dos agentes capazes de transform?-la. O presente trabalho reflete at? que ponto as avalia??es s?o percebidas como relevantes para a Escola. In this scenario, the research, as a pedagogical principle, occupy, from a theoretical point of view, privileged space. However, it is necessary to evaluate how students are located in this reality and how the Integrated Seminar discipline addresses the research. Therefore, on the research, were sought answers to the following question: How Polytechnic High School students realize the research developed under public schools in Porto Alegre on the Integrated Seminar discipline from Natural Sciences area? The assumptions underpinning this research are grounded on the conceptions of polytechnic, the principles of curriculum restructuring in Rio Grande do Sul and in the investigation as a pedagogical principle in High School. The data were collected through recorded interviews with focus groups of students from eight schools of Porto Alegre macrozones, whose answers were analyzed through Discursive Textual Analysis ? ATD, in order to perceive the understanding of students in relation to the Polytechnic High School,specially the research experiences.Can be stated as main conclusions that the texts that support the proposal of the Polytechnic High School are consistent from a theoretical point of view and the research as a pedagogical principle has highlight by its importance on the students development of citizenship and autonomy. However, it is observed, through the testimony of students, that in the eight schools investigated, the assumptions of polytechnic and didactic-methodological actions to achieve its objectives have not been fully appropriated by the teachers yet. Also, in the view of the students interviewed, is quite poor the pedagogical support of official agencies to teachers regarding the implementation of the proposal. In relation to the researches conducted in the studied schools in the scope of Integration Seminar discipline, based on the vision of the students, it appears that the actions are quite distant than those related by the authors that deal with research as pedagogical and methodological principle. / A pesquisa relatada nesta disserta??o abordou uma significativa mudan?a pedag?gica iniciada no per?odo de 2011-2012, no cen?rio do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul: a Proposta da Secretaria de Educa??o do Estado, para a implanta??o do Ensino M?dio Polit?cnico. Neste cen?rio, a pesquisa, como princ?pio pedag?gico, ocupa, do ponto de vista te?rico, espa?o privilegiado. No entanto, ? necess?rio avaliar como os estudantes se situam nessa realidade e como a disciplina de Semin?rio Integrado aborda a pesquisa. ATD, com vistas a compreender os entendimentos dos estudantes em rela??o ao Ensino M?dio Polit?cnico, em especial, as viv?ncias de pesquisa. Como principais conclus?es, pode-se afirmar que os textos que embasam a proposta do Ensino M?dio Polit?cnico mostram-se consistentes do ponto de vista te?rico e a pesquisa como princ?pio pedag?gico tem destaque pela sua import?ncia no desenvolvimento da cidadania e autonomia dos estudantes. Previous issue date: 2015-12-14 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior - CAPES / This dissertation examines the high school graduation in 2014 from the State College C?ndido Jos? de God?i, located in Porto Alegre (RS, Brazil). The objectives of this research are twofold: investigate the importance of high school graduation for young students of the diurnal third year of the educational institution in question, in order to identify who would be these young people and what the reasons leading them to consider important this rite of passage. The other goal seeks to contextualize the Brazilian high school throughout the twentieth century as a way to understand how this level of education was organized, such as its recent transformations and challenges related to this educational stage. This research is linked to the History of Education as it analyzes the historical trajectories of the high school, the neighborhood where the school is located as well as the paths that the College God?i ran along its decades of existence. In addition, the former graduations from the educational institution were investigated from the vestiges located in history archive of the College God?i. In this part of the dissertation, concepts such as school culture and school's rite are used. Regarding the graduation of 2014, has crafted a questionnaire answered voluntarily by graduating students of the diurnal, trying to identify who would be these young school graduates and how they were experiencing this period of completion of basic education. Furthermore, not to be restricted to the questionnaire, nine interviews were conducted, six with graduating students and three with school teachers, as a possibility to enrich the analysis of this moment of completion of the school routine. The concepts used for that part of the work are: youths, consumer society, rites of passage and society of the spectacle. The results indicate that the graduation is not restricted only to ceremony, there are other events throughout the school year that are related with the graduation. Regarding the importance of this high school graduation for these young people, the answers were distinct. At the same time which could be a recognition by the student who is wrapping up a course of study and gaining a higher education than their families, there are others who consider it normal the completion of this stage. While most of the students wish to remain studying, others understand that this graduation may be the only of their lives, that is why the commitment to organize it in the best possible way. / Esta disserta??o analisa a formatura de ensino m?dio de 2014 do Col?gio Estadual C?ndido Jos? de God?i, localizado em Porto Alegre (RS, Brasil). Os objetivos dessa pesquisa s?o dois: investigar a import?ncia da formatura de ensino m?dio para os jovens estudantes do terceiro ano diurno da institui??o de ensino em quest?o, buscando identificar quem seriam esses jovens e quais os motivos que os levariam a considerar importante esse ritual de passagem. O outro objetivo procura contextualizar o ensino secund?rio brasileiro, ao longo do s?culo XX, como forma de compreender como foi organizado esse n?vel de ensino, tal como suas transforma??es recentes e desafios relacionados com essa etapa educacional. Essa pesquisa vincula-se ? Hist?ria da Educa??o, pois analisa as trajet?rias hist?ricas do ensino secund?rio, do bairro onde est? localizada a escola, bem como os percursos que o Col?gio God?i percorreu ao longo de suas d?cadas de exist?ncia. Al?m disso, as antigas formaturas da institui??o de ensino foram analisadas a partir dos vest?gios localizados no Acervo Hist?rico do Col?gio God?i. Nesta parte da disserta??o, conceitos como cultura escolar e rito escolar s?o utilizados. Com rela??o ? formatura de 2014, foi elaborado um question?rio respondido de forma volunt?ria pelos estudantes concluintes do diurno, procurando identificar quem seriam esses jovens formandos da escola e como eles vivenciavam esse per?odo de conclus?o da educa??o b?sica. Ademais, para n?o ficar restrito ao question?rio, foram realizadas nove entrevistas, seis com estudantes concluintes e tr?s com docentes da escola, como possibilidade de enriquecer a an?lise desse momento de finaliza??o da rotina escolar. Os conceitos utilizados para essa parte do trabalho s?o: juventudes, sociedade de consumo, ritos de passagem e sociedade do espet?culo. Os resultados indicam que a formatura n?o se restringe somente ? cerim?nia, h? outros eventos ao longo do ano letivo que est?o associados. Com rela??o ? import?ncia dessa formatura do ensino m?dio para esses jovens, as respostas foram distintas. Ao mesmo tempo em que pode ocorrer um reconhecimento por parte do estudante de que est? encerrando um ciclo de estudos e conquistando uma escolaridade superior a dos seus familiares, h? outros que consideram normal a finaliza??o dessa etapa. Enquanto a maioria dos estudantes desejam permanecer estudando, outros compreendem que essa formatura pode ser a ?nica de suas vidas, por isso o empenho em organiz?-la da melhor forma poss?vel.

Previous issue date: 2017-08-23 / This work represents a descriptive-exploratory research that aimed to identify the behavior of
young high school students in the search for information. The theoretical basis of this work
contemplates four main axes: the search for information; Information and communication
technologies and their influence on the daily lives of young people; Vocational education at a
technical level integrated with secondary education; The school library as a subsidy to school
practices and student research. The research was carried out with two subjects: students of the
Technical Course in Integrated Administration for Secondary Education, offered by the Federal
Institute of Bras??lia (IFB) Campus S??o Sebasti??o; Librarians who work in the 10 (ten) libraries
of the IFB campuses. The approaches adopted were as follows: qualitative and quantitative.
The questionnaire and the semi-structured interview were used as instruments of data
collection. The analysis of the data was based on the content analysis, proposed by Bardin
having as categories of research: technological profile and informational behavior of the
students; Sources of information used for school work; Degree of satisfaction with the library.
The results of this research indicate that students absorb very well the new information
technologies and take the use of these to different activities of their daily life. It is noticed that
the students use the technologies for search and consumption of the information. The
investigated librarians also perceive need to develop certain differentiated aptitudes to act in
educational environment. / Este trabalho representa uma pesquisa do tipo descritiva-explorat??ria que objetivou identificar
o comportamento de jovens secundaristas na busca pela informa????o. A fundamenta????o te??rica
deste trabalho contempla quatro tr??s principais: a busca por informa????o; as tecnologias da
informa????o e da comunica????o e sua influ??ncia no cotidiano dos jovens; a biblioteca escolar
como subs??dio ??s pr??ticas escolares e de pesquisa de alunos. A pesquisa foi realizada com dois
grupos de sujeitos: alunos do curso T??cnico em Administra????o Integrado ao Ensino M??dio,
ofertado do Instituto Federal de Bras??lia (IFB) Campus S??o Sebasti??o; bibliotec??rios que atuam
nas 10 (dez) bibliotecas dos campi do IFB. As abordagens adotadas foram as seguintes:
qualitativa e quantitativa. Foram utilizados o question??rio e a entrevista semiestruturada como
instrumentos de coleta de dados. A an??lise dos dados foi baseada na an??lise de conte??do,
proposta por Bardin, tendo como categorias de pesquisa: perfil tecnol??gico e comportamento
informacional dos estudantes; fontes de informa????o utilizadas para trabalhos escolares; grau de
satisfa????o com a biblioteca. Os resultados dessa pesquisa apontam que os estudantes absorvem
muito bem as novas tecnologias da informa????o e levam o uso dessas para diversas atividades
de seu cotidiano. Percebe-se que os alunos utilizam as tecnologias para busca e consumo da
informa????o. Os bibliotec??rios investigados tamb??m percebem necessitar desenvolver certas
aptid??es diferenciadas para atuar em ambiente educacional.

Previous issue date: 2017-12-13 / This qualitative and explanatory research is linked to the Education and Society research line, led by the UNESCO Chair of Youth, Education and Society of the Catholic University of Brasilia (UCB). Its main goal it aimed at to investigate how some selected pedagogical investigating how certain pedagogical strategies, adopted by managers and teachers in the methodology of Learning Workshops, can improve the learning process and stimulate the entry and continuity of secondary school students. The project focused on the educational practices of a private secondary school in Curitiba, Paran??. The research applied Stake's (1995, 2007) "intrinsic case study" methodology, complemented by Yin???s (2010) procedural theoretical conception, associated with Bardin???s (2011) "content analysis." For the development of the analysis of the central question on how the investigated Secondary School is putting into practice the guidelines of the new Pedagogical Proposal of 2017. The debate of curricular policies was based on the cycle of educational policies, proposed by Bowe and Ball (1992), Ball (1994) and Ball and Mainardes (2011). The documentary analysis was also carried out to reflect on the new guidelines of the pedagogical proposal of Secondary School, facing the new curricular requirements of secondary education. For the data collection, questionnaires were applied to teachers and students. A convenience sample of 157 students and 16 teachers participated in the study. The research analyzed the answers to the questionnaires as well as the transcriptions of recorded web-conferences and online during the participation of the researcher in the course for teacher in-service education, in order to trying to categorize them and associate them with an appropriate theoretical. The data obtained by the questionnaires were submitted to the content analysis of Bardin (2011). The data of the questionnaires received simple statistical treatment. The results allowed to understand the evaluation system that is configured as an important dimension of the educational process, constituting itself as a form, moment and procedural resource, continuous, cumulative and qualitative of accompaniment of the learning. Thus, it emerged, as indicated in the research, through the technique of observation and analysis of documents, the recently modified evaluation system was the aspect that had the greatest impact on the daily actions of the establishment. On the other hand, the results also demonstrated that the combination of learning by challenges and problem solving advocated in the Learning Workshops methodology is important for students to learn by doing, together, at their own pace. The main reasons for choosing Secondary School by students and parents are the active, socialized and inter-serial methodology and as well as possibilities of concomitant technical courses. With very high success and low drop out rates, the unit has gotten high scores on a final standardized examination for secondary school graduates. The suggestions relate to the complexity and clarity of standards, in particular of evaluation. / A presente pesquisa de natureza quali-quantitativa e explicativa ?? vinculada ?? linha de pesquisa Juventude Educa????o e Sociedade, liderada pela C??tedra UNESCO de Juventude, Educa????o e Sociedade da Universidade Cat??lica de Bras??lia (UCB). Teve como objetivo geral investigar como determinadas estrat??gias pedag??gicas, adotadas por gestores e docentes na metodologia de Oficinas de Aprendizagem, podem melhorar a aprendizagem e estimular o ingresso e a continuidade dos estudantes do ensino m??dio. Como objeto de investiga????o abordaram-se as pr??ticas pedag??gicas de um col??gio de ensino m??dio da rede particular, no Munic??pio de Curitiba, Paran??.
