The subject of this thesis is primarily design methodology for planning and traffic management. It is based on the real needs of company CAD Blansko and analyzing company processes and capture their support in the corporate ERP system. Next pat is detailed analysis focusing on dispatching of passenger transport. Based on the findings and conclusions of this section are outlined deficiencies, especially the need for a methodology for resource planning and specifications of that methology. To which is directly connected with the extensive design of the required design methodology and its software support, change is taken into account current business processes. It is also recommended procedure of the implementation methodology using appropriate project management tools. The final part is testing of methodology.

The aim of this thesis is to compile a manual guide for choosing an appropriate information system to support the company e-learning process. I solved this particular problem by conducting both the analysis of the company and of the current trends in e-learning applications. I also assessed the existing situation and determined system requirements of the company. By carrying out my own survey I found out that implementing the optimal software helps to educate employees more effectively and brings savings and potential profits for the whole firm. The outcome of the thesis is a set of recommendations for the right choice of e-learning software as well as critical factors for the e-learning implementation project.

“Det här var det bästa systemet de någonsin sett oss bygga” : Organisatoriskt meningsskapande som nyckel till framgångsrika ERP-implementationer

Denna studie utforskar hur organisationer kan undvika tillkortakommanden vid ERP- implementationer. Studien bygger på två forskningsfrågor: i) “Hur arbetar projektledare med meningsgivande handlingar vid ERP-implementationer?” samt ii) “Vilka faktorer upplevs vara viktiga för systemanvändares meningsskapandet?”. För att besvara frågorna undersöker studien ERP-implementationer utifrån en socialkonstruktivistisk lins där teorin om meningsskapande appliceras. Studien bygger på en kvalitativ metod där 16 projektledare och systemanvändare inom åtta svenska organisationer intervjuats. Resultaten tyder på att projektledare använder fyra kommunikationskanaler i sitt meningsgivande: i) intranät/mail, ii) möten, iii) utbildningar samt iv) superanvändare. Vidare indikerar de även att de kanaler som möjliggjort social interaktion bidraget till en mer positiv uppfattning hos systemanvändarna. Systemanvändarnas meningsskapande upplevs påverkas av fem faktorer: i) generationstillhörighet, ii) förändringsförståelse, iii) avstånd till förändringen, iv) engagemang samt v) förändringskultur. Studien adderar till tidigare forskning genom att fördjupa kunskapen om hur ett socialkonstruktivistiskt synsätt kan användas för att studera ERP-implementationer. / This study explores how organizations can mitigate ERP failures. The study is based on two research questions: i) “How do project managers apply sensegiving during ERP implementations?”, and ii) “What aspects are perceived as important in the sensemaking process amongst systems users?”. Pursuing these questions, the study examines ERP implementations through a social constructivist lens and the theory of sensemaking. The study is based on a qualitative method, in which 16 project managers and system users, among eight Swedish organizations, are interviewed. The findings suggest that project managers use four channels of communication in their sensegiving: i) intranet/mail, ii) meetings, iii) education, and iv) superusers. It is also found that channels that enable social interaction contributes to more positive attitudes amongst system users. The sensemaking amongst system users is perceived to be affected by five aspects: i) generational affiliation, ii) understanding of change, iii) distance to change, iv) commitment, and v) change culture. The study adds to previous research by deepening the knowledge of how a social constructivist approach can be used to study ERP implementations.

Implementeringsarbete av molnbaserade ERP-system inom processindustrin : En fallstudie på Stora Enso Skutskär bruk

Denna fallstudie har utförts på Stora Enso Skutskärs bruk och fokuserar på implementeringen av plattformen Fiori som är en del av företagets molnbaserade ERP-system. Studien använde sig av kvalitativa metoder som intervjuer på fallföretaget samt Alleima, Stora Enso Sunila och Stora Enso Varkaus. En enkätundersökning genomfördes även på Stora Enso Skutskärs bruk för att samla in kvantitativa data. Fallstudien valdes som metod för att analysera komplexa fenomen och sociala situationer.I den teoretiska referensramen framkommer fördelar och utmaningar med molnbaserade ERP-system. En fördel är exempelvis effektiv informationshantering medan en utmaning kan vara säkerheten. Vidare undersöks implementeringen av digitala verktyg där det framhävs att en välplanerad strategi och ledarskap som främjar samarbete och kommunikation är viktigt. Teorin framhäver att det ofta uppstår utmaningar med att implementera digitala verktyg, exempelvis brist på resurser och motstånd från medarbetare. Därefter presenteras teoretiska metoder för att stödja medarbetare vid införandet av digitala lösningar.Medarbetarnas upplevelse av plattformen Fiori var övervägande positiv och lärotillfällena som organiserades i samband med implementeringen uppskattades. Dock framkom det att kommunikationen kring implementeringen har varit en utmaning, och projektledaren har upplevt bristande stöd från ledningen. Motivationen att använda Fiori var låg eftersom lärotillfällena inte var obligatoriska. Det har även framförts förbättringsförslag så som tydligare supportkontakter och mer information om systemet. Studien har visat att upplevelsen inte är enhetlig hos de medarbetare som deltagit i studien, och studien diskuterar potentiella orsaker till detta. I studiens analys presenteras en ny processmodell som kan användas för att förbättra implementeringsprocessen. Modellen betonar vikten av kommunikation, ledarskap, stöd, delaktighet och resurser.Studien utfördes under åtta veckor och avgränsades till molnbaserade ERP-system. Det framkom intressant information under studiens gång som inte kunde undersökas vidare och resulterade i förslag till fortsatt forskning. Ett förslag var att undersöka hur information- och kommunikationsflöden påverkar implementeringsprocessen av digitala verktyg. / This case study has been carried out at Stora Enso Skutskär's mill and focuses on the implementation of the Fiori platform which is part of the company's cloud-based ERP system. The study used qualitative methods such as interviews at the case company as well as Alleima, Stora Enso Sunila and Stora Enso Varkaus. A survey was also carried out at Stora Enso Skutskär's mill to collect quantitative data. The case study was chosen as a method to analyze complex phenomena and social situations.In the theoretical frame of reference, advantages and challenges with cloud-based ERP systems emerge. An advantage is, for example, efficient information management, while a challenge can be security. Furthermore, the implementation of digital tools is examined where it is emphasized that a well-planned strategy and leadership that promotes collaboration and communication is important. The theory highlights that challenges often arise with implementing digital tools, for example lack of resources and resistance from employees. Then theoretical methods are presented to support employees in the introduction of digital solutions.The employees' experience of the Fiori platform was predominantly positive, and the learning opportunities organized in connection with the implementation were appreciated. However, it emerged that communication around the implementation has been a challenge, and the project manager has experienced a lack of support from management. The motivation to use Fiori was low because the learning opportunities were not mandatory. There have also been suggestions for improvements such as clearer support contacts and more information about the system.The study has shown that the experience is not uniform among the employees who participated in the study, and the study discusses potential reasons for this. In the study's analysis, a new process model is presented that can be used to improve the implementation process. The model emphasizes the importance of communication, leadership, support, participation, and resources.The study was conducted over eight weeks and limited to cloud-based ERP systems. Interesting information emerged during the study that could not be investigated further and resulted in suggestions for further research. One proposal was to investigate how information and communication flows affect the implementation process of digital tools.

Förväntningar på ledningen inför ett affärssystemsbyte : Konkreta exempel med förankring i implementationsprocessen och förändringsledning

Many people feel anxious about a change, at the same time we live in a society that is changing at an ever-increasing rate. The changes can be big or small, and through theories from change management, it has become a well-studied topic how an organization can push through a change in a structured way. A change that many organizations choose to undergo is to implement new ERP-systems, which is considered a major change for an organization. When implementing business systems, the failure rate is high and to minimize the risk of failure, critical success factors have been developed, where one of the factors is management. Through semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis, this study has investigated what expectations there are of management before a business system change. Which resulted in 11 expectations that give a clearer picture of what, when and how management can work to reduce employees' concerns about the ERP-system change and minimize the risk of failing with its implementation. / Många människor känner oro inför en förändring, samtidigt lever vi ett samhälle som förändras i allt högre takt. Förändringarna kan vara stora som små och genom teorier från förändringsledning har det blivit ett välstuderat ämne hur en organisation på ett strukturerat sätt kan driva igenom en förändring. En förändring som många organisationer väljer att genomgå är att implementera nytt affärssystem, vilket anses vara en stor förändring för en organisation. Vid implementering av affärssystem är misslyckande graden hög och för att minimera risken för ett misslyckande har kritiska framgångsfaktorer tagits fram, där en av faktorerna är ledningen. Denna studie har genom semistrukturerade intervjuer och tematisk analys undersökt vilka förväntningar det finns på ledningen inför ett affärssystemsbyte. Vilket resulterade i 11 förväntningar som ger en tydligare bild över vad, när och hur ledningen kan arbeta för att minska medarbetarnas oro inför affärssystemsbytet och därmed minimera risken att misslyckas med sin implementering.
