Análise do financiamento de longo prazo no Brasil: 2000 a 2008

Lucchesi, Andrea 30 June 2008 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-26T20:48:52Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Andrea Lucchesi.pdf: 947350 bytes, checksum: 2b1a8ff5f3794de60c6607c03043bda8 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2008-06-30 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This research aims to contribute to the systematic measurement of the long-term financing volume granted in Brazil from June 2000 until February 2008, measurement which is still inexistent in the national economic literature. The diagnosis that presents a deficiency or absence of private long-term financing sources in the Brazilian economy is basically consensual and has been strengthened by the perception that the scenario has not changed with the end of high inflation rates after the Real Plan. Although widely accepted, this thesis is not supported by empirical evidences. This research analyzes the statistics concerning the credit and capital markets, with the purpose of verifying the extension of maturities of credit lines and of securities and bonds offered in the primary market. Based on the available data, a methodology for the quantification of the long-run financing existing in Brazil is suggested. For the long-run concept, two definitions have been adopted: one takes in consideration the stated period in years (equal or longer than one, three, five or twelve years) and the other is related to the economic purpose of the financial resources, or in other words, those resources designated to the productive investment financing / Este trabalho busca contribuir para a mensuração ordenada do volume de financiamento de longo prazo concedido no Brasil, no período entre junho/2000 e fevereiro/2008, mensuração esta inexistente na literatura econômica nacional.

The discourses associated with the frontline management initiative and their relationship to managing practice

Barratt-Pugh, Landis G. B. January 2004 (has links)
[Truncated abstract] This thesis is an analysis of a technology that is radically changing the location, process and position of manager learning, leveraging organisational learning agendas, and creating networks re-ordering institutional frameworks. The thesis examines the discourses, performances and productions associated with the Frontline Management Initiative (FMI) and provides a model of workplace-based management development. Academically, it provides new knowledge about the discourses constituting, enacting and producing manager development. Practically, it provides an understanding of the relations between workplace learning and outcomes that can inform practice. The FMI is a critical technology in terms of leveraging enterprise growth, due to its extensive national profile within the politically dominant societal structures of organisations, the critical interpreting role of frontline managers, and the innovative workplace-based, learner-centred framework. As the solitary Karpin (1995) report beacon, the FMI is positioned in highly contested terrain. Managing practice confronts the complexity of ordering knowledge work, where meaning and knowledge are more fluid and transient. Management development practice is more workplace located where knowing is more situated, distributed and relationally negotiated, but framed by politically endorsed competency-based frameworks. This study takes the unique opportunity to examine a learning technology that is being shaped by powerful mediating discourses. It examines how these multiple discourses construct FMI practice, what meanings of managing they develop and what effect these relational experiences have on subsequent managing practice.

Heltidsarbete som norm : Hur mängden arbetstid kan påverka jämställdheten på arbetsmarknaden i Sverige

Jensen, Carolina January 2022 (has links)
This essay examines the impact of employees' working hours on genderequality. There is a problem linked to part-time and full-time work alongwith gender equality, which leads to that significantly more women workspart-time than men do. The reason to this is partially because the welfareindustry is female-dominated and infused by part-time employment, andbecause of the uneven distribution of roles between the sexes. A new rule ofpresumption has been formulated in the Employment Protection Act(1982:80) which stipulates that all employment contracts apply for full-timework, unless agreed otherwise. The purpose of this essay is to investigate theprovision of full-time as the norm and whether an extension of workinghours will promote equality in the labor market. A shortening of workinghours is presented as another possible solution to the gender equalityproblem and after that, both possibilities get analyzed with their pros andcons and their relevant legislation. To investigate whether full-time work as a norm will improve genderequality, research results from previous full-time projects are compared. Insummary, the results of this essay show that full-time work as a norm islikely to be a successful equality tool, but previous research has shown thatsupplementary measures will then be required. Among other things, it will berequired that the government works to remove unfavorable working hoursand that the welfare professions become more sought after among men.Another important measure is to work more actively to remove the unevengender distribution around unpaid domestic and care work. This is importantbecause it is something that leads to many women not getting their lifepuzzle together and therefore choosing to work part-time instead of full-timein order to have more time to spare

Enhanced heat transportation for bioconvective motion of Maxwell nanofluids over a stretching sheet with Cattaneo–Christov flux

Abdal, Sohaib, Siddique, Imran, Ahmadian, Ali, Salahshour, Soheil, Salimi, Mehdi 27 March 2023 (has links)
The main aim of this work is to study the thermal conductivity of base fluid with mild inclusion of nanoparticles. We perform numerical study for transportation of Maxwell nanofluids with activation energy and Cattaneo–Christov flux over an extending sheet along with mass transpiration. Further, bioconvection of microorganisms may support avoiding the possible settling of nanoentities. We formulate the theoretical study as a nonlinear coupled boundary value problem involving partial derivatives. Then ordinary differential equations are obtained from the leading partial differential equations with the help of appropriate similarity transformations. We obtain numerical results by using the Runge–Kutta fourth-order method with shooting technique. The effects of various physical parameters such as mixed convection, buoyancy ratio, Raleigh number, Lewis number, Prandtl number, magnetic parameter, mass transpiration on bulk flow, temperature, concentration, and distributions of microorganisms are presented in graphical form. Also, the skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number, Sherwood number, and motile density number are calculated and presented in the form of tables. The validation of numerical procedure is confirmed through its comparison with the existing results. The computation is carried out for suitable inputs of the controlling parameters.

Bounded Surface

Brown, Emilie Sayward 01 January 2008 (has links)
The relationship between surface, perception, and structure has occupied my graduate studies. Locating, transforming, and transcending the surface requires play with perceptive abilities not only of vision, but of touch, hearing, and the other senses as well. How do the interactions of sense with the qualities of a surface determine our perception of the world? What role does the extension of the senses play in one's ability to perceive surface and structure? Using sense information gleaned from surfaces, the tectonics of our world are made visible. Might this relationship be played backwards as well? Composed structures produce surfaces upon which limina can be sensed. This written accompaniment to the thesis works is intended to continue the exploration of the surface/ sense/ structure relationship. With the visual work as a basis, each section consists of two parts. This structure is a tool for producing sense information for the viewer concerning the visual work. The first part serves as a bridge between the particular visual work and the second part. Consisting of a page or so of text, the first part of each section is also intended to set a tone or position the reader for the second part. The second part is more formal and speaks about the ideas behind the produced object, and for the most part could be applied to any works in this thesis. My desire is that the adjacency of the pieces in each section will create a friction of sorts— an awareness of the surface between the two writings, and perhaps, between the writing and the objects.

Extending Depth of Field via Multifocus Fusion

Hariharan, Harishwaran 01 December 2011 (has links)
In digital imaging systems, due to the nature of the optics involved, the depth of field is constricted in the field of view. Parts of the scene are in focus while others are defocused. Here, a framework of versatile data-driven application independent methods to extend the depth of field in digital imaging systems is presented. The principal contributions in this effort are the use of focal connectivity, the direct use of curvelets and features extracted by Empirical Mode Decomposition, namely Intrinsic Mode Images, for multifocus fusion. The input images are decomposed into focally connected components, peripheral and medial coefficients and intrinsic mode images depending on the approach and fusion is performed on extracted focal information, by relevant schema that allow emphasis of focused regions from each input image. The fused image unifies information from all focal planes, while maintaining the verisimilitude of the scene. The final output is an image where all focal volumes of the scene are in focus, as acquired by a pinhole camera with an infinitesimal depth of field. In order to validate the fusion performance of our method, we have compared our results with those of region-based and multiscale decomposition based fusion techniques. Several illustrative examples, supported by in depth objective comparisons are shown and various practical recommendations are made.

House visitation in the Maranatha Reformed Church of Christ : bane or boon?

Motloba, Joseph Modisaotsile 05 1900 (has links)
Welcoming visitors is part of our African culture. This research tries to reflect on house visitation in the Maranatha Reformed Church of Christ (MRCC), and the impact thereof, if any, in the spiritual lives of congregants. Traditionally, pastors, elders and deacons alone bear the responsibility of visiting families in the MRCC. This research therefore reflects on the issue of house visitation in the MRCC where it is seen and understood as the duty and responsibility of pastors, elders and deacons only. The research is a passionate call for the MRCC, as a church, to work on a ministry design where all members will be actively involved in visiting one another, a move from the traditional one where only pastors, elders and deacons visit households. Arguments are also presented on how technology could be used to the advantage of the church in this task. / Philosophy, Practical and Systematic Theology / M. Th. (Practical Theology)
