Plato’s late works contain an unexpectedly consistent treatment of the physics and metaphysics of souls. In the course of showing this, I argue that: (1) the mid- dle period dialogues Phaedo and Republic assume, but do not mention, a Form of Soul; (2) the Timaeus contains a physical theory according to which all changes of every kind are forms of spatial motion; (3) Plato’s view of souls as self-movers is identifiable in more of his late dialogues than is usually recognized (namely, in the Statesman as well as in the Phaedrus, Timaeus, and Laws); (4) in the definition of souls as self-movers, “motion” should be read as “spatial motion” rather than “change” in general, and (5) neither the Phaedrus nor the Timaeus contains the claim that human souls are immortal, while both dialogues contain a concept of “soul-stuff,” a material from which individual souls are manufactured.

The final paper is devoted to the rather new phenomenon in the world of books – to the artist’s copyright book. It is thirty years old only, however, already three exhibitions of “artist’s” book were arranged. Objective of the final paper is to show historical development of the book origin and finishing with modern book and book’s form, destination, material changes are considered here. These are Sumerian clay tables and Egyptian papyrus and the Middle Ages’ manuscripts and the book which today we cal call classic with its canons and standards. Simultaneously, development of post services is analysed also as it was an integral part of the book. Analysis of book development is the context in which today “artist’s” book forms. This is like a new phenomenon, deliberately denying traditions, both of form and material, and finally of function of the book in all world of art, in which attention is drawn to the concept, individuality, where traditions are deliberately avoided and the escape from traditions also becomes a tradition.

Στην εργασία αυτή αναπτύσσεται η θεωρία κανονικών μορφών με παραδείγματα στις δύο και τρεις διαστάσεις και υπάρχει μια ανάλυση διακλαδώσεων των καθολικών εκδιπλώσεων ορισμένων διπλά εκφυλισμένων διανυσματικών πεδίων. / In this project we study the normal form theory giving some examples in two and three dimensions and we have also made a bifurcation analysis of the universal unfoldings of some double degenerate vector fields.

Ο νεοπλατωνικός φιλόσοφος Πρόκλος, στο α΄ μέρος της πραγματείας του Εις τον Παρμενίδη του Πλάτωνος Β΄, διατυπώνει μία εισαγωγική σκέψη για την πλατωνική θεωρία των Ιδεών, την οποία παρουσιάζει αναλυτικά στην συνέχεια του έργου του, δηλώνοντας ρητά την αδιαμφισβήτητη αντικειμενική ύπαρξη των Ιδεών, ως αρχετύπων των όσων λαμβάνουν χώρα στον κόσμο της αισθητής εμπειρίας. Τονίζει , ότι τόσο οι Ιδέες, όσο και τα αισθητά οφείλουν την ύπαρξή τους στο Έν, την ανώτατη υπερβατική Αρχή, η οποία αποτελεί την απόλυτη ενότητα και από την οποία απορρέει το πλήθος. Επομένως, η ενότητα προηγείται του πλήθους και η εν λόγω προτεραιότητα παρουσιάζεται με μία σειρά από επιχειρήματα. Έπειτα αναζητείται η καταστατική τάξη των Ιδεών, οι οποίες βρίσκονται τοποθετημένες στον δικό τους «τόπο», συμπλέκονται χωρίς να υφίστανται αλλοιώσεις, διατηρώντας την μοναδικότητα, την ταυτότητα καθώς και την ενότητά τους. Συγκεκριμένα, παρακολουθούμε ποια είναι η ουσία και οι δυνάμεις της Ομοιότητας και της Ανομοιότητας αντιστοίχως, ποια είναι η διάταξή τους ανάμεσα στις Ιδέες ποια είναι η λειτουργική παρουσία τους και εν τέλει ποια είναι η μεταξύ τους σχέση. Πρόκειται για ένα ζήτημα που ανήκει στον συστηματικό κλάδο της μεταφυσικής οντολογίας αλλά και συγχρόνως εντάσσεται και στην ιστορία της φιλοσοφίας, καθότι παρουσιάζει ένα στάδιο της εξέλιξης μιας θεωρίας που αναπτύχθηκε τον 4ο αιώνα π.
