The Influences of Green Leadership and Green Corporate Culture on Green Organization Behavior

Lee, Ying-Pu 06 September 2011 (has links)
Recently, to reduce carbon emissions this kind of green environmental issues has become a global trend, companies comply with this trend and gradually proceed with the greening of business to achieve sustainable management of the reform objectives. Therefore, no matter it is the beginning of the plot to take social responsibility, or simply to obtain business opportunities, companies should carry out environmental management, the greening of business of the action. Green leadership and green culture are important foundations for developing green organization, in this study, by conducting interviews with the five companies that have been productive of green businesses, coupled with the statistical analysis that got from the questionnaire, fins out the result that green culture and green leadership have led the influences to green organizational behavior. In this study, it is not difficult to see that high values of the more intense the green mindset set in the leaders, there will be more resources be invested in the enterprise. Also, different styles of green leadership behavior will lead different effects on green organization's performance. In addition, the shaping of green culture and the elements are also associated with the green organizational behavior performances. Besides, the companies in different industrial and the length of the companies¡¦ business history are the reasons that can affect the green organizational behavior performance. Which means even the companies¡¦ have same level of strength on green leadership or green culture, once the companies are in different industrial or the length of the companies¡¦ business history are different, there still have the possibility for the company to have different green organization behavior performance.

The Green Enterprises Of Business Strategy Study--The Case Of Laser Printer Remanufacture Toner Cartridge--

SU, SUN-TI 16 June 2004 (has links)
Abstract Recently years environmental protect conscious have raised, product throw away after used that had been impacted environment awfully. Green design; Environment protect design; Resource recycle; Green marketing; Remanufacture use etc. of concept, have been separate into whole society. As the information products quickly expand demand in the current, the electric information related products made huge numbers, that result in more garbage produce out, it had been stress to the environment. How to process those huge quantity information garbages part, became an important issues. According to the IDC, 2003 survey Taiwan area, the laser printer toner cartridge sales market there are over one million sets, such as that have been produce out huge number blank toner cartridge garbage. There are some small enterprises to remanufacture the use up of blank toner cartridge since ten year ago in Taiwan, they change the laser toner cartridge life cycle ¡ufrom born to dead¡vto ¡ufrom born to born¡vand sell that into printing expendable market, this way have environment protect concept and have economy benefits. But as DIPC, 2003 report the remanufacture toner cartridge¡Athere are ten percentage market share only in Taiwan printing expendable marketing, it is very low than USA or Europe of 30 to 35 percentage market share. The remanufacture toner cartridge business had been meet lower market share grow, because they except the same industry competition, they have meet large OEM printer manufacture sales pressure competition and consumer un-know this remanufacture toner product can provide stable printing quality and save the cost, these laser toner remanufacture industry have been meet grow limit. Nurturing Landscapes: Creating educational rainwater management systems on school grounds

Orr, Catherine 28 September 2015 (has links)
This research poses two questions: How, through collaboration and thoughtful design practices, can rainwater management systems on school grounds be developed as resources for learning? And, what can these systems contribute to the development of more sustainable urban rainwater management? The research was conducted through a literature review, the analysis of three case studies and a pilot project. The research points to the potential for schools to act as a centralizing figure, enabling a community collaboration to occur, with the aim of implementing shared goals. This process generated knowledge, spread awareness and built relationships among the community. The school’s participation in this process was key to creating place-based, engaging solutions. The rainwater systems must be multi-functional and contribute to the learning environment by building on the school’s educational philosophy. The four projects offer different scenarios for creating rainwater management systems that engage students through both hands-on learning and play. / Graduate / 0390 / orr.cat@gmail.com

Do They Really Car(e) : The greening of the brand: the case of Volvo Cars in Sweden 1972 to 2014

Näsman, Mattias January 2015 (has links)

Severe environmental damage undermines the history of mankind and endangers the survival of all species. To determine the basis of the high level of environmental harm created and a possible solution justifies the relevance of this work to the extent in that nowadays it concentrates structural changes in society. The revolutionary human progress and the intensification of environmental disasters arise as critical factor by its need for global environmental protection, in which case it reveals the emergence of a new attitude by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, recognized as ?greening?, as well as the constitutional mission of the Brazilian Judiciary, mainly regarding state courts, to update the direction of the standard as not reformed by the legislature and to prevent or remedy any threats or injuries. The purpose is, in this sense, to describe the development of nowadays globalization occurrence and its relationship to risk society. It is also intended to go further the designs of the risk society as a second introductory guideline. From these considerations, it is important to stress the current value of the monistic and dualistic conceptions and, considering the narrated parameters, the currently employed directions to sovereignty and to new patterns of the international and supranational law expressions. It falls, moreover, into the study of the pursuit of the interactions between environment, human rights, the right to development and international trade, focusing on alleged tensions and interrelations, to ultimately, verify the substance and the occurrence of an Environmental State of law in Brazil. Hence, the description of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, under the jus cogens focus, is an assumption to the examination of greening, which leads to the examination of the Brazilian justice in the face of its Federal Constitution and the potential to protect the environment with a more fully and comprehensive approach. At the end, there is an attempt to establish a starting point, although without any effort or intention to consecrate ideas, but only a limited outline which attempts to lead to a reflection on the socioeconomic and environmental framework in progress.

Tvorba barevných látek při zpracování česnekovitých rostlin / Formation of color compounds during processing of alliaceous species

CURKO, Petr January 2016 (has links)
This Master's thesis is focused on study of color compounds formed during processing of alliaceous plants, especially during processing of garlic (Allium sativum L.) and Sicilian honey garlic (Nectaroscordum siculum (Ucria) Lindl.). Color compounds formed in alliaceous plants significantly reduce their sensory quality percieved by consumers and represent a relatively significant financial burden for the food industry. While especially blue and yellow compounds are formed during processing of garlic, pink to red compounds are formed during processing of Sicilian honey garlic. The theoretical part of the Master's thesis is focused on two plants of the genus Allium L. - garlic and Sicilian honey garlic, their significance, occurrence and usage. The study also discusses the mechanism of color compounds formation, that involves mainly sulfur compounds. The experimental part of the Master's thesis is focused on isolation and identification of the most significant color compounds formed during processing of alliaceous species and proposal probable mechanism of their formation.

The bacterium "Ca. Liberibacter " was inoculated in seedlings of the" Valencia "(Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck) grafted on "Swingle" (Poncirus trifoliata x Citrus paradisi) and was evaluated the change of secondary metabolites by the development of analytical methods such as HPLC-UV, LC-MS/MS, LC-UVSPE- NMR and chemometric tools. The chemometric methods PCA and S-PLOT applied to data obtained in the studies by LC-MSE allowed to discriminate infected plants from healthy plants, and also allowed the characterization of the compounds that most contribute to this differentiation. By analyzing the change in the chemical profile of citrus studied by HPLC-UV-SPE-NMR, it was able to detect the change of some coumarins in the roots and stem from rootstock, and glycosides flavonoid in leaves, indicating that these compounds may be involved in defense mechanism of the plant, and may be acting as a Phytoanticipins. Aiming to better interpret this change observed, also performed a quantitative variation of some secondary metabolites, as coumarin identified in the roots, and flavonoids identified in leaves. This technique showed an increase of coumarins in infected plants, while there was a decrease in all the flavonoids in the leaves in infected treatment, indicating that the plant defense is in the roots. Finally, a phytochemical study of citrus was performed aiming obtain patterns compounds, and this study resulted in the isolation of 13 substances, from several classes of secondary metabolites.

The method adopted for the research was the Ergonomic Analysis of Work EAW (Güérin et al., 2001). The results, after validation with the operators and management, allowed understanding the complex relationships between the physical, cognitive and organizational aspects present on activity. Major difficulties were observed mainly in relation to the disposal of the scouts on the platforms and in relation to working hours, at the beginning and end of the journey. Important findings have highlighted strategies, unknown by the organization, used by scouts to locate candidates‟ trees to the fine analysis of investigation of symptoms. In conclusion, the analysis enable to understand the constraints and find technical and organizational solutions to the survey work on citrus groves as well as it showed signs and symptoms not investigated yet or rarely considered by researchers involved on searches aimed at increasing the ability to diagnose the disease in the field.

This research had as main goal to describe a hierarchy of the relevance of barriers to the insertion of more sustainable practices in Universities, through the use of the tool of multicriteria programming - Analytic Network Process (AHP) and application of a survey in Universities that adhered to the management model of Public Administration Environmental Agenda (A3P). Researchers and people responsible for the Greening Campus process contributed to enumerate the barriers to literature, developing a hierarchy of barriers supported by the perspective of research specialists. In addition to presenting the most impacting and relevant barriers, the results support the mobilization of resources for the transposition or mitigation of those barriers. The research also made it possible to generate a more effective and facilitated way of implementing A3P, through the reorganization of A3p's implementation and the hierarchy of barriers, by adjusting the focus on the prioritization of decision-making processes, in this case supporting the initiatives of More sustainable practices in universities. Among the 17 barriers listed, three major barriers were raised: lack of performance indicators, lack of funding, and the fact that it is a public or private institution. In this way, the result is in line with the other researches in the area, and the most cited barrier in several works, such as the most striking is resistance to change. This is linked to the fact that structural and economic barriers become more impacting according to the Brazilian scenario, seeing that structural and economic mismatch precludes changes before they are even implemented and resistance occurs when there is a clear imminence. / CAPES: 15546.43

Postoje managementu velkých zemědělských podniků k produkci rychle rostoucích dřevin / Attitudes Management of large Farms to Produce fast-growing trees

Zelenková, Aneta January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this thesis was to ascertain the attitudes of management of selected large farms operating in the South Region in the production of fast-growing trees on-the-agricultural land and attitudes to the concept of greening. To fulfill the goals of this thesis were used questionnaires - a structured questionnaire sent by e-mail after prior phone contact. The research covered 18% of cultivated agricultural land throughout the South Region. They were classified according to the jurisdiction of the district. It was found overwhelming preponderance of negative attitudes towards the production of SRC and reasons for this opinion. Production is dedicated to one of the thirty producers. The concept of greening is considered inconsistent. Positive attitude toward greening occupy a particularly company with combined agricultural production, negative attitude then producers od crop production.
