This master thesis consists of two main parts: the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part is focused mainly on artist book, its history and some authors, who worked in this sphere. It peripheraly deals with invention of paper and paper development history. In the practical part, the motivation sources influencing processing of this topic and technological procedure during artist book production are explained.

A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo compreender a produção do espaço e de suas representações no bairro Restinga - Porto Alegre/RS. São construções atravessados por materialidades, idéias, intenções e vidas, que formam, de forma contraditória, complexa e singular, o bairro. Sua produção material é indissociável de seus imaginários e, embora o espaço seja abstração, é também materialidade na vida das pessoas, envolvendo desde a ordem distante, do Estado e instituições, até a ordem próxima, dada pelas relações em redes ou de vizinhança. Nesse sentido, a produção do espaço é acompanhada por distintas (e contraditórias) representações, constituídas dentro e fora da Restinga. São imaginários que originaram com a produção do bairro e a remoção das malocas, reproduzindo hoje, sob outras roupagens, as distâncias sociais. Contudo, o morador que encontra no bairro o abrigo dentro de uma sociedade desigual, constitui valores positivos, dissociando-o dos imaginários que o estigmatizam. É nesse sentido, que fatos e idéias compõem o viver do morador da periferia, constituindo os vínculos entre sujeito e bairro, em elaborações constantes do espaço de representação. / This research aims to understand the production of space and its representations at Restinga neighborhood, in Porto Alegre, RS. They are constructions built by materialities, ideas, intentions and lives, which form, in a contradictory, complex and singular way, this neighborhood. Its material production is not separable from its imaginary and, although the space is abstraction, it is also materiality in people's lives, evolving from the distant order - State and institutions - to the nearer order, given by the relationships of neighborhood or in nets. Thus, the production of space is kept up with distinct (and contradictory) representations, formed inside and outside Restinga. These imaginaries were created with the production of the neighborhood and the removing of the poorest handmade houses, which reproduces, in another way, the social distances. However, the person who finds in the neighborhood a shelter inside an unequal society has positive values, undoing it from the imaginaries that stigmatize it. Facts and ideas compound the people from outskirts' lives, which build the links between individual and neighborhood, in constant elaborations of space of representation.

Advinda da cana-de-açúcar, planta exótica introduzida no Brasil em meados de 1504, a cachaça tornou-se um produto tipicamente nacional e sua história desenvolveu-se juntamente com a história do país. Atualmente, a bebida é produzida em grande quantidade e alguns estados produtores já são reconhecidos como símbolos de qualidade, como por exemplo, o Rio Grande do Sul. O estado gaúcho é o quarto colocado em relação à produção de cachaça artesanal e destaca-se pelas iniciativas de melhoria e de apresentação dos produtos. A iniciativa mais marcante foi a criação, no ano de 2005, do grupo chamado Alambiques Gaúchos, o qual se constitui no objeto de estudo desse trabalho. O setor da cachaça sofre influência de diversos fatores, como a informalidade, questão cultural, conflitos internos, tributos, concorrência entre outros e a relação entre estes reflete na forma como a organização estudada se governa. A teoria que compreende esse estudo é a Nova Economia Institucional (NEI), principalmente na corrente microanalítica chamada Economia dos Custos de Transação (ECT), contemplada pelos trabalhos de Williamson. Por meio de um estudo de caso baseado no Esquema da Indução das Formas de Governança, proposto por Zylbersztajn, pretende-se compreender o encadeamento dos fatores que influenciam as transações do grupo Alambiques Gaúchos, identificando sua estrutura de governança e seus mecanismos de coordenação. Uma pesquisa quanti-qualitativa foi realizada e utilizou-se a estatística descritiva e a Análise Estrutural Discreta Comparada para a análise e interpretação dos dados. Concluiu-se que a estrutura de governança que poderia ser adotada pelo grupo seria a do tipo híbrida, no entanto, não há coordenação, o que impossibilita uma maior organização das empresas integrantes, prejudicando a inserção da cachaça gaúcha, tanto nos nichos de mercado nacionais quanto internacionais. / Coming from the sugar cane, exotic plant introduced in Brazil around 1504, the cachaça become a typical product and its history has developed along with the country. Nowadays, this drink is produced in large scale and some States producers are known for its high quality, Rio Grande do Sul is an example of that. This State is the fourth regarding the production of handmade cachaça, mainly because its initiatives of improvement and presentation of products. The most remarkable initiative was the creation, in 2005, of the group called Alambiques Gaúchos, that is the object of study on this paper. The sector of cachaça is influenced by several factors, such as informality, cultural issues, internal conflicts, taxes, competition, and it reflects on the way an organization governs itself. The theory in this study is the New Institutional Economics (NIE), mainly in the micro analytical method called Transaction Cost Economics (TCE), covered by the work of Williamson. Through a case study based on the Induction Scheme of the Forms of Governance, proposed by Zylbersztajn, the aim is to understand the factors that influence the transactions of the group Alambiques Gaúchos, identifying the governance structure and its mechanisms of coordination. A quantitative and qualitative research was done and descriptive statistics and Comparative Structural Analysis Discrete to the analysis and interpretation data. It was concluded that the governance structure concluded that the governance structure that could be adopted by the group, would be hybrid, however, there is no coordination. It makes not possible a larger organization of members, prejudicing the inclusion of the handmade cachaça both in national or international markets.

This paper is an investigation into the crossroads of traditional and contemporary glass craft techniques. Through innovative methods in the workshop I have set out to bring glass into the public sphere using the potential for handcraft in architecture.

This knowledge is considered a material and immaterial patrimony. So, after made interviews with ?marisqueiras?, this research understands how such toys were built in childhood, your methods, materials and way of playing. The objective of this research is found traces of vernacular design in handmade toys; register and disseminate ancient ways of playing and consuming the toy, considering that they depend the available materials and knowledge, but mostly imaginary and cultural context. The investigation problem of this research is: What is the design of handmade toys to ?marisqueiras? of Paripe (Salvador-BA)? The methodology is based on ethnographic method was applied, using semi-structured interviews with ?marisqueiras? to learn your childhood stories and reconstruction of toys. Finally, was found that all individuals are creative and are able to create depending on your need. And just like the toys of the ?marisqueiras? of this study, handmade toys have own creative solutions vernacular design and lacks recognition and appreciation. / Esta pesquisa ? uma investiga??o sobre como eram feitos os brinquedos artesanais de marisqueiras da Col?nia de Pescadores e Aquicultores Z-67, localizada em Paripe, bairro de Salvador-BA. Esse saber artesanal ? considerado um patrim?nio material e imaterial, portanto, por meio de entrevistas com as marisqueiras, esta pesquisa compreendeu como tais brinquedos eram constru?dos na inf?ncia, seus m?todos, materiais e modos de brincar. O objetivo desta pesquisa ? afirmar que existem tra?os do design vernacular nos brinquedos artesanais; registrar e difundir antigas formas de brincar e de consumir o brinquedo, considerando que dependiam dos materiais e conhecimento dispon?veis, mas principalmente do imagin?rio e do contexto cultural pertencente a essas pessoas. O problema de investiga??o desta pesquisa ?: Qual ? o design dos brinquedos artesanais de marisqueiras do bairro de Paripe (Salvador-BA)? A metodologia ? baseada no m?todo etnogr?fico, utilizando-se de entrevistas semiestruturadas com marisqueiras, relatos da inf?ncia e reconstru??o dos brinquedos. Por fim, conclui-se que todos os indiv?duos s?o criativos e, por isso, s?o capazes de criar dependendo de sua necessidade. E, assim como os brinquedos das marisqueiras deste estudo, os brinquedos artesanais apresentam solu??es criativas pr?prias do design vernacular e necessita do reconhecimento e valoriza??o desses saberes.

En los últimos años se ha llegado a presentar un notable aumento en el número de mujeres que optan por un cuidado constante de su piel, buscando que esta llegue a estar siempre limpia, hidratada y saludable. Sin embargo, esto les llega a resultar difícil, debido a que actualmente existen diferentes factores presentes en la vida diaria, que deterioran constantemente el aspecto de la piel. Un ejemplo de ello es la continua exposición a los químicos presentes en los jabones genéricos, los cuales están siempre presentes en lugares públicos, como centros comerciales, restaurantes, e inclusive áreas de trabajo, debido a su bajo costo en el mercado. Otros factores que se debe considerar, son la contaminación ambiental, y el efecto negativo de la radiación solar. Para contrarrestar esta problemática, hemos desarrollado los Jabones Eco-Amigables Prácticos “Makalu”, hechos a mano a base de diferentes aceites escenciales que otorgan minerales y vitaminas para el óptimo cuidado de la piel. La presentación es en forma de pétalos pequeños que funcionan para un solo uso con el fin de dar practicidad, por ello podrán ser transportados a cualquier lugar y ser utilizados en la higiene personal, sin desperdicios ni químicos. Es importante elaborar un jabón adecuado para cada tipo de piel, por ello, elaboramos jabones hidratantes y nutritivos para piel seca, mixta o grasa y para piel sensible para cubrir las diferentes necesidades de nuestros segmentos. El primero son las mujeres entre 18 y 39 años del NSE A y B que optan por cuidar su piel a base de productos naturales, y el segundo son las tiendas naturistas y boticas que tienen nuestro perfil de clientes. Asimismo, el producto se ha fijado un precio entre 12 a 15 soles segun el tipo de producto de acuerdo a las preferencias del cliente. / In recent years, we have come to present a notable increase in the number of women who opt for continuous and constant care of their skin, looking for us to always be clean, hydrated and healthy. However, this is difficult for them, because there are currently different factors present in daily life, which constantly deteriorates the appearance of the skin. An example of this is the continuous exposure to the chemicals present in generic soaps, which are always present in public places, such as shopping centers, restaurants, and even work areas, due to their low cost in the market. Other factors that should be considered are environmental pollution, and the negative effect of solar radiation. To counteract this problem, we have developed the ¨Makalu¨ practical Eco – Friendly Soaps, handmade based on different essential oils that provide minerals and vitamins for optimal skin care. The presentation is in the form of small petals that work for a single use in order to give practicality, so they can be transported anywhere and be used in personal hygiene, without waste or chemicals. It is important to prepare a suitable soap for each type of skin, therefore, we prepare moisturizing and nourishing soaps for dry, mixed or oily skin and for sensitive skin to cover the different needs of our segments. The first is women between 18 and 39 years of age NSE A and B who choose to take care of their skin based on natural products, and the second are the health food and botanical stores that have our customer profile. Also, the product has set a price between 12 to 15 soles based on the type of product according to customer preferences. / Trabajo de investigación

This master’s thesis is engaged with composition a business plan for the development of retail stores with online store with beads and other equipment for beading. An important part of the work constitutes mainly a thorough analysis of the enterprise market, the company will enter. Further work is part of the marketing plan and last but not least, the financial plan.

Len len is about the process. Originating in environmental issues and reflecting the processuality of the creation of a work of art. Processes from production to product, from tradition to the present, from memory to experience, from fast to slow, from imperfection to perfection, from the impersonal to the personal, from beginning to end. I deal with work with textiles as a classic medium, while I devote myself to the cultivation of flax as the original, in our country, raw material for the production of textiles. From the beginning, I watch carefully as it grows, I take care of it and I patiently expect the time of collection and subsequent processing. This phase is very important for me, as it brings with it various procedures, applied in old proven technologies, in interaction with people from whom I learn the craft and who shape the whole process, but especially from behind, observe how I am doing, what I managed. It is a personal and at the same time technical record of a two-year effort.
