Η παρούσα μελέτη φιλοδοξεί να πραγματευτεί το θέμα της προαγωγής της υγείας στο πανεπιστήμιο. Συγκεκριμένα θα γίνει προσπάθεια να αναλυθούν οι έννοιες της υγείας και της προαγωγής της υγείας καθώς και οι πολιτικές για τη δημόσια υγεία και να ολοκληρωθεί με τις πολιτικές για την προαγωγή της υγείας που εφαρμόζονται στα πανεπιστημιακά ιδρύματα. Στο θεωρητικό μέρος γίνεται εκτενής αναφορά σε όλες τις έννοιες μέσα από την ανασκόπηση της υπάρχουσας βιβλιογραφίας, των επίσημων κειμένων των παγκόσμιων οργανισμών και ενώσεων για τα θέματα που αφορούν στην προαγωγή της υγείας και του θεσμικού πλαισίου τόσο της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης όσο και της Ελλάδας. Στη μελέτη περίπτωσης, βασικό ζήτημα αποτελεί η διερεύνηση των πολιτικών για την προαγωγή της υγείας που εφαρμόζονται σε πανεπιστημιακά ιδρύματα σε διεθνές και εθνικό επίπεδο. Η εργασία αυτή αναδεικνύει τη σπουδαιότητα των πολιτικών για την προαγωγή της υγείας και υπογραμμίζει την ανάγκη για περαιτέρω και πιο συστηματική έρευνα που αφορά στον τομέα του Πανεπιστημίου. / In this piece of work we discuss the issue of the health promoting universities. In particular, we analyze the concept of health, health promotion and public health policies in relation to the health promotion politics at the university level. The theoretical part of this dissertation covers the literature review on the issue which is based on the archives and the official documents of the health organizations and unions over the world. Relevant data have also been drawn from the European Union and the Greek state. In this context an investigation is taken place about the health promotion policies in the universities both at international and national level. This work revealed the power of health promotion politics and underlined the need for a further and systematic research on the topic in the university sector.

Fysisk hälsa hos patienter med psykossjukdom : Specialistsjuksköterskors arbete och uppfattningar / Physical health in patients with psychosis : Specialist nurses´ work and perceptions

Bakgrund: Patienter med psykossjukdom har generellt sämre fysisk hälsa än övriga befolkningen till följd av symtom av psykossjukdomen, livstilsvanor delvis relaterat till symtomen och biverkningar av antipsykotisk läkemedelsbehandling. Forskning styrker detta dock har hälso- och sjukvården inte lyckats hjälpa patientgruppen på ett tillfredsställande sätt. Tidigare studier tyder på att sjuksköterskor inom psykosvården är medvetna om problemet men uppfattningar rörande hur omvårdnadsarbetet ska se ut skiljer sig. Syfte: Syfte med föreliggande studie är att beskriva specialistsjuksköterskors uppfattningar om fysisk hälsa hos patienter med psykossjukdom. Ytterligare syfte är att beskriva det hälsofrämjande arbetet som utförs samt specialistsjuksköterskornas uppfattningar om detta arbete. Metod: Strukturerade intervjuer gjordes med sex sjuksköterskor på fem öppenvårdsmottagningar i tre sjukvårdsområden i Stockholm. Informanterna hade arbetat på nuvarande mottagning i minst ett år och var specialistutbildade i psykiatrisk omvårdnad. Kvalitativ innehållsanalys valdes som metod vid analysen av materialet. Resultat: Sjuksköterskorna hade kunskap och medvetenhet om patientgruppen som riskgrupp. På samtliga mottagningar fanns rutiner och riktlinjer för arbetet med patienters fysiska hälsa men inte tillräckligt med resurser för att arbeta utifrån dessa på ett tillfredsställande sätt. Sjuksköterskorna efterlyste mer tid och personal för detta arbete samt ett bättre samarbete med den övriga vården. Diskussion: Studiens resultat ställs mot tidigare forskning och mot den personcentrerade omvårdnadsteorin enligt McCormack och McCance, där teorin hjälper till att förklara resultatet utifrån en vårdrelation patient och sjuksköterska emellan. / Background: Patients with psychosis generally have poorer physical health than the general population due to symptoms of psychosis disease; lifestyle habits partly related to symptoms and side effects of antipsychotic drug treatment, which is confirmed by research. Health care has, however, failed to assist these patients in a satisfactory manner. Previous studies suggest that nurses in psychosis care are aware of the problem although beliefs regarding how nursing should be organized differ. Aim: The aims of this study are to describe the specialist nurses' perceptions of physical health in patients with psychosis. A further aim is to describe the health promotion work done and furthermore specialist nurses' perceptions about this work. Methods: Structured interviews were conducted with six nurses at five outpatient clinics in three health regions in Stockholm. The informants had worked at the present clinic at least for one year and were specialized in psychiatric nursing. The method chosen for analysis of the material was Qualitative content analysis. Resultats: The nurses had knowledge and awareness of the patient group as a risk group. At all clinics there were procedures and guidelines for working with patients' physical health, but not enough resources to adhere on these in a satisfactory manner. The nurses asked for more time and personnel for this work and a better collaboration with other health care clinics. Discussions: The results of the study was compared to previous research and to the person-centered nursing theory according to McCormack and McCance, where the theory helps to explain the results from a healthcare relationship between patient and nurse.

Bakgrund: Med en växande äldre befolkning följer nya krav för   att förbättra hälsa, självständighet och aktivitet. Aktiviteter som bevarar   fungerande förmågor skapar känsla av välbefinnande, positiv självbild samt   ökar livskvaliteten för äldre. Det ingår i sjuksköterskans profession att   identifiera samt aktivt arbeta för att förebygga hälsorisker. Syfte:  Att belysa aktiviteters betydelse ur den äldres och sjuksköterskans   perspektiv. Metod: Studien är en litteraturöversikt baserad på 14 vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultat: För att främja aktivitet hos äldre behöver de mer kunskap om   aktiviteters hälsofördelar, kunskap om lämpliga aktiviteter samt hur ofta och   hur mycket aktivitet som bör utföras. För att kunna ge optimalt stöd till den   äldre i hälsoförebyggande syfte behöver sjuksköterskan mer tid och kunskap. Diskussion: Hälsoförebyggande insatser bör komma redan på det stadium då den äldre   är relativt frisk och har förmåga till egenvård. Sjuksköterskan bör ta de   specifika hinder som äldre upplever i beaktande vid hälsofrämjande arbete.   Sjuksköterskan kan med fördel använda sig av Orems omvårdnadsteori för att ta   den äldres resurser i beaktande och därmed utöva en god personcentrerad vård   med den unika individen i fokus. / Background: With a growing elderly population there will be new requirements to improve health, independence and activity. Activities that preserve functioning abilities create a sense of well-being, positive self-image and increase quality of life for the older person. It is part of the nursing profession to identify and actively work to prevent health risks. Aim: To highlight the significance of activities from the elderly and nurses perspectives. Methods: The study is a literature review based on 14 scientific articles. Results: In order to promote activity among elderly, they need more knowledge of activity health benefits, knowledge of appropriate activities as well as how often and how much   activity that should be performed. In order to give optimum support to the elderly in health prevention the nurse needs more time and knowledge. Discussions: Health preventive efforts should come already at the stage when the elderly are relatively healthy and have the ability to self-care. Nurses should take into account, the specific obstacles that elderly experience in health promotion. The nurse can   advantageously use Orems theory of nursing to take the elderly persons resources into account and thus exert a good person-centered care with the unique individual in focus.

An imbalance may be created through various factors that could affect the individual adversely and disturb the balance or wellness aspiring for. This study was prompted by the significant influence of unhealthy behaviours on the South African population and its concomitant effects on the workplace. The wellness of the individual is gaining new interest in times where human beings are plagued by increased levels of stress, disease as well as constant and unpredictable change. Wellness programmes are at the forefront of restoring the balance of the working population and the strive towards excellence presents advantages to both the employer and employee. There appears to be an increase in the emergence of wellness interventions since its initial origin in the mining industry of South Africa. There is, however, a lack of research conducted on these programmes to support the development and future improvement and expansion of this vital intervention. This study aimed to investigate the extent of wellness programmes in South African organisations as well as the sophisticated conceptualization of these programmes within this context. The study further extended to the formulation of a model presenting the system of wellness as well as its practical application. In order to investigate and explore these factors, a research questionnaire was developed and presented to a sample of 58 respondents for completion. The results indicate that there are various sophisticated methods applied in the structure and maintenance of wellness programmes in those organisations with such programmes implemented. A tendency towards appreciating the concept of wellness was further identified among respondents. It was however, also ascertained that specific guidance and information about the field of wellness programmes could be advantageous to the future development and frequency of such interventions in the South African business framework. / AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: "Wellness" is die begeerde optimum vlak van bestaan wat 'n individu kan ervaar en word voorgehou as die balans tussen ses dimensies naamlik die fisieke, emosionele, sosiale, beroepsgerig, sowel as geestesingesteldheid en intellektualiteit. 'n Wanbelans kan geskep word deur verskillende faktore wat die individu nadelig kan raak en die balans versteur of die "wellness" waarna hy streefbenadeel. Hierdie studie is aangespoor deur die belangrike invloed van ongesonde gedrag op die Suid Afrikaanse bevolking en gepaardgaande invloed by die werkplek. Die "wellness" van die individu wek nuwe belangstelling in tye waar mense se lewens al meer versuur word deur verhoogde stresvlakke, siektes sowel as voortdurende en onvoorspelbare verandering. "Wellness" programme is aan die voorpunt om die balans van die werkende bevolking te herstel en die strewe na perfeksie verteenwoordig 'n tweeledige voordeel vir sowel die wergewer as die wernemer. Dit kom voor asof daar 'n vermeerdering is in die toetrede tot die "wellness" programme se bestaansvlak sedert die aansprong daarvan sy beslag gekry het in die mynwese van Suid Afrika. Daar is egter 'n gebrek aan navorsing wat gedoen is aangaande hierdie programme om die ontwikkeling daarvan te ondersteun asook die toekomstige verbetering en uitbreiding van hierdie lewensbelangrike intervensie in die individu se lewe. Met hierdie studiestuk is daar beoog om die omvang van "wellness" programme in Suid Afrikaanse organisasies te ondersoek sowel as die gesofistikeerde begrip van hierdie programme in konteks te plaas. Die studie is verder verbreed tot die ontwikkeling van 'n model wat die stelsel van "wellness" en sy praktiese toepassing uitbeeld. Om hierdie faktore te ondersoek is 'n navorsingsvraelys ontwikkel en voorgelê aan 58 respondente vir voltooiing. Die resultate dui aan dat daar verskeie gesofistikeerde metodes aangewend word in die samestelling en onderhoud van "wellness" programme in daardie organisasies wat wel sulke programme ingestel het. In dieser Arbeit wird ein Konzept für das betriebliche Gesundheitsmanagement an einem Fachkrankenhaus für Neurologie und Psychiatrie erstellt. Hierbei werden zunächst allgemeine Grundlagen sowie die Entwicklung und Teilbereiche des betrieblichen Gesundheitsmanagements dargestellt. Darauf basierend wird anschließend am praktischen Beispiel eines Fachkrankenhauses für Neurologie und Psychiatrie mit Hilfe einer Mitarbeiterbefragung sowie einer Literaturrecherche ein organisatorisches und inhaltliches Konzept für das betriebliche Gesundheitsmanagement entworfen. Inhaltlich umfasst dieses die alters- und berufsgruppenspezifisch bedarfsorientierte Entwicklung von Maßnahmen und Angeboten an zwei Gesundheitstagen jährlich, sowie die dauerhafte Etablierung verschiedener Angebote zur Förderung der Gesundheit und Prävention von Erkrankungen der Mitarbeiter. Weiterhin werden die notwendigen organisatorischen Determinanten erarbeitet, die zur Einführung, Weiterentwicklung und Überprüfung der Wirksamkeit des BGM erforderlich sind. Im abschließenden Fazit erfolgen eine aktuelle Bewertung der Konzeption und ein Ausblick in die Zukunft.
