Das Komponieren für Männerchor war in Zeiten von Diktaturen und Kriegen selten unpolitisch. Männerchorsätze schrieb man zum Beispiel für Soldaten im Felde, sozusagen für deren 'Feierabend', für die Freizeitbeschäftigung vor und nach der Schlacht. In seiner Leipziger Zeit hat Johann Nepomuk David einen Männerchorsatz a cappella geschrieben: mit geistlichem Text. In dem Beitrag wird die stilistische Stellung dieses und anderer in seinem Umkreis geschriebener Chorsätze des Komponisten anhand einer Reihe von Sätzen mit derselben Besetzung, aus derselben Zeit und aus demselben politischen Umfeld diskutiert.

As I hope to show, a philosophical study of love is highly relevant today, since the sciences have not adequately answered the perennial question: What is love?; Since the time of Socrates, the idea of love and the conception of the human heart have been devalued by thinkers who, by definition, are known as "lovers of wisdom." Considered pejoratively as "the passions," the subject of emotion was deemed inferior to thought centered upon the human faculty of reason. Many studies in the sciences, from biology to psychology, claim to have pointed us to the source of the human experience of love--but do they help us to understand love properly? In order to provide a full consideration of love in my philosophical research, I will focus my analysis on love under the philosophical lens of phenomenology. Known as the study of firsthand human experience, phenomenology became the influential school of thought for many German philosophers in the early twentieth century. My research will closely examine the writings of Max Scheler, Dietrich von Hildebrand, and Jean-Luc Marion within the context of this tradition. Moving from a justification of love in philosophy to the topic of self-love, I hope to define effectively what it means to love another. I shall also attempt to disambiguate the common assumptions regarding the nature of love. Is there a fundamental difference between the phenomenon of "falling in love" and of love itself? I question whether love, in its essence, is defined by the element of choice--of a willful emotional giving of oneself to another--and whether it can be distinguished from a passive feeling and an active loving will. I aim to bring the human affective sphere into the full light of philosophical inquiry, considering whether love is a moral act of the will that involves a total participation of the self--in mind, body, and spirit. Love is arguably the most powerful of the human emotions, one that elevates the human sphere of emotions and the ethical existence beyond simple desire.

This paper analyzes and interprets the visual communication used to portray the police detectives in the documentary film Uppdrag: Skomakarligan. Four scenes where the police are the main focus and which all have different purposes in the plot of the film are picked out. The four scenes are then studied through a social semiotic method based on Bill Nichols' theories about the documentary voice, and in combination with visual storytelling strategies by Bordwell & Thompson. The filmmaker's power over the image of reality in documentaries is discussed concerning the interpretation that is made. The study results in the police detectives being portrayed as very dedicated to their profession but also shows the human side of them. Filmmaker Hildebrand's fascination with the police detectives, as shown by the narrator, is linked to the result and isn't deemed to be entirely problematic. Media production: In 1975 EMF (Engelholms Musikförening) organized the music festival Musikfesten Tullakrok, and for over 30 years this festival was the highlight of the year for many in Ängelhom. However, in 2008 the festival had to be shut down, but now 16 years later EMF is back and wants to revive Musikfesten Tullakrok for 2024. The purpose of this project was to showcase different members’ perspectives on organizing the music festival 16 years later and provide insight into the history of the festival from 1975 to 2008. In this paper, it was tried to experimentally determine the flocculation parameter and the solubility parameters of some petroleum, through data of onset of precipitation of asphaltenes by adding n-alkenes. The experimental determinations of onset of precipitation were performed by optical microscopy and Near-Infrared spectroscopy (NIR), in order to be also evaluated the correlation between measures. The outcomes of onset of precipitation showed a reasonable correlation among techniques, but the data obtained by NIR were generally larger. Towards the flocculation parameter, the experimental data when adjusted to a linear behavior of first order ended up on inconsistent values compared with the ones in literature, what raised doubts about the basic hypothesis of compatibility model. However, it was possible the determination of solubility parameters for several petroleum and it was noticed that the data are used successfully in prediction of compatibility in mixtures, therefore, it was verified the need of the improvement of experimental methodology to the determination of onset of precipitation through Near-Infrared spectroscopy and clues indicate that the phenomena of asphaltenes precipitation may not be only molecular. / O parâmetro de solubilidade de Hildebrand é utilizado para expressar a compatibilidade de petróleos em misturas, partindo-se do princípio que, independentemente da composição do sistema, os asfaltenos precipitam sempre em um determinado parâmetro de solubilidade, conhecido como parâmetro de floculação, cujo valor estimado é 16,35 (MPa)1/2. Neste trabalho, tentou-se determinar experimentalmente o parâmetro de floculação e os parâmetros de solubilidade de alguns petróleos, através dos dados de início de precipitação dos asfaltenos pela adição de n-alcanos. As determinações experimentais de início de precipitação foram realizadas por microscopia ótica e espectroscopia de Infravermelho Próximo (NIR), a fim de que fosse avaliada também a correlação entre as medidas. Os resultados de início de precipitação indicaram uma correlação razoável entre as técnicas, mas os dados obtidos pelo NIR foram geralmente maiores. Em relação ao parâmetro de floculação, os dados experimentais quando ajustados a um comportamento linear de primeira ordem proporcionou valores inconsistentes comparados com o da literatura, o que coloca em dúvida a hipótese básica do modelo de compatibilidade. Entretanto, foi possível a determinação dos parâmetros de solubilidade para vários petróleos e foi observado que os dados são utilizados com sucesso na predição da compatibilidade em misturas, porém, verificou-se a necessidade do aperfeiçoamento da metodologia experimental para a determinação do início de precipitação através da espectroscopia de infravermelho próximo e indícios apontam que o fenômeno da precipitação dos asfaltenos possa não ser apenas molecular.

The diploma thesis deals with an analysis of a concept of a value on the basis of the selected literature. It tries to point out a connection of ethical theories with a practical human behaviour. It has been structured from an explanation of key concepts as ethics, morality, manners; it examines a word of the value and fundamental philosophical theories which are associated with values. In detail it analyses the values in terms of so called philosophy of the material and formal subjectivism. It focuses on representatives of the phenomenology - Max Scheler, Nikolai Hartmann and Dietrich von Hildebrand. It specifies approaches to the values as well as in terms of a human personality, especially from a perspective of the analytical psychology. The thesis shows an importance of the values in the practical application - in the professional ethics of social work, where ethical codes provide an orientation for employees. Caritas Czech Republic was chosen as a model organization. That is also why a theological perspective on the values has been mentioned and basic values and principles of the Code of Caritas Czech Republic as well. This study should be a stimulus for a further exploration of the concept of the value and its significance for human beings. It considers the values to be a fundamental motivation that will lead mankind to a good behaviour (virtues) in the future.
