Therefore, we intended to outline the field of representation concept from Aristotle, afterwards the one by Freud and his formalization about the psychic apparatus, up to Lacan and the non-representable and not-all concepts. The hypothesis, presented here, focus, essentially, on Lacan´s concept of object a and in its real function of being support of the individual s jouissance. In this research, we supposed that, in psychosis, the object a while not being extracted, it would be articulated to the nomination so as to promote the possibility of a psychic organization, with stabilization effect that could be described as possible consequences to the construction of social bond for the psychotic individual and the circumscription of the unmeasured and incommunicable jouissance that, in the psychosis, is presented as invasive and external to the individual. We are sure that the real aspect of nomination, in the psychosis, occurs from the link of the jouissance object with the name, making up a sign, not of the linguistic order, but a sign of jouissance, that would be articulated more to the field of Yade l´Um concept There is One concept extracted from Lacan´s final teaching. The name must not only nominate, but it must also be the signature of a creation, of an act, mentioning the jouissance that can not be shared. In this creative research, the individual uses their savoir-y-faire, - know how to do it because, if the extraction of the object a was not possible, it must be known how to do it where it exists.

The Creation of a successful organisational culturein an independent school

Van Renssen, Andries January 2013 (has links)
According to the available literature, schools with a positive organisational culture are more effective and will probably achieve better results. This study investigates the way in which a positive school culture is formed. It focuses on the role of the leadership of the principal in developing an organisational culture of an independent school. This qualitative study scrutinises one specific school in a group of several independent schools in South Africa and compares the school culture of the original school (between 1971 and 1974) to the current school culture as manifested in the last four years (2009- 2012). Data was gathered through interviews with the founder of the school, interviews with current teachers and the current principal, document research of artefacts as well as observations made by visitors to the school in a professional capacity. The data recorded was analysed in terms of a "levels of culture" model proposed by Edgar Schein (1985) by looking at what “the school” said about itself, what “the school” and the principal did, and what things look like. Furthermore, a study was made of what is seen as acceptable behaviour and unacceptable behaviour followed by what is regarded as important and not important in the school. The answers to these questions were used to determine the assumptions that members of the school community hold about the nature of the school. The analysis of the school’s culture aimed to determine how this school’s past is living in the present and what role the leadership of the principal played in shaping the school’s culture. All of this was done to determine how school culture is formed, so that other schools can also use the methods identified in this study to identify their own school’s culture and find ways of changing it. The researcher concludes that the formation of a school culture can be controlled and manipulated towards a positive outcome and ways of doing this are identified. It is also found that the culture of the specific school in this study seems to have been well-defined and positive throughout its history and that the leadership of the principal plays a significant role in the success of the school. / Dissertation (MEd)--University of Pretoria, 2013. / gm2014 / Education Management and Policy Studies / UPonly

Exploring Innovation Behaviors: The Desired Actions for Individuals, Teams, and Organizations / Utforska Innovationsbeteenden: De önskade åtgärderna för Individer, Team och Organisationer

Gohil, Parth January 2023 (has links)
Several tools and practices have been developed in the innovation management field to support individuals and organizations in their innovation journeys. It is of high interest to understand how the actions and decisions of people affect the innovation process, both on a micro and macro level. The actions of individuals, teams, and upper management in organizations directly or indirectly affect innovation. It becomes interesting to understand such behaviors. The aim of this master’s thesis is to explore and compile a list of human behaviors that drive innovation on three levels: individual, team, and organization. This qualitative study was conducted in Sweden using semi-structured interviews with experienced professionals in the innovation management field. The research also includes defining and understanding key terms that are necessary for exploring and identifying innovation behaviors and offers analogies to support this understanding. An extensive literature review is used to find the initial set of innovation behaviors, and the analysis is developed. The key findings of this research reveal innovation behaviors in 11 categories of individual innovation behaviors, 5 categories of team innovation behaviors, and 6 categories of organizational innovation behaviors. Each category is developed in detail and a list of innovation behaviors is prepared. The implications of this thesis are twofold. Firstly, an extensive theoretical base is developed to understand innovation behaviors in a unified framework. Several new innovation behaviors are identified in empirical results that were not found in the scientific literature. This thesis also provides an actionable base for ‘how to innovate’ questions. Secondly, the results can be used by professionals on a practical level. Individuals, teams, and organizations can educate themselves about innovation behaviors and adopt them during their innovation projects. The upper management in companies can use these innovation behaviors to develop a culture that is supportive of innovation and take innovation-abling actions for their organizations. Innovation professionals can use these behaviors as a tool to support their teams in taking better actions for innovation. Furthermore, researchers can advance the understanding of factors influencing innovation and develop advanced tools and practices as a guide to innovation.

How to Maximize Your Small Business's Impact on Social Media

Arnaud, Brianna J 20 December 2018 (has links)
This thesis is meant to be a learning tool to help small businesses use free social media accounts as business marketing tools. The manual is broken down into chapters highlighting the importance of “Knowing your Audience,” “Branding,” “Constructing a Post,” “Using Visual Rhetoric,” and “Expanding your Audience.”. This thesis is inspired by scholars of English, internet linguistics, journalism, gender theory, professional writing, and rhetoric. It is also inspired by a survey of 18 small businesses in the Lafayette, Louisiana area. The survey helped to focus my research on the social media issues of small businesses in the southern region of the U.S. Little academic attention is given to the continued statistical analysis of language in social media from a critical compositional standpoint. I have written this thesis to inspire continued research in the area of internet linguistics and to help small businesses maximize profits by improving their social media impact.

Soziale Netzwerkanalyse für HumangeographInnen : Einführung in UCINET und NetDraw in fünf Schritten / Social network analysis for human geographers : an introduction to UCINET and NetDraw in five steps

Steinbrink, Malte, Schmidt, Jan-Berent, Aufenvenne, Philipp January 2013 (has links)
Within social sciences and humanities, network research has meanwhile developed into an established cross-disciplinary research perspective, which is based on relational theoretical approaches. Thereby, empirical studies are increasingly drawing on the method repertoire of Social Network Analysis (SNA). For Human Geography, the sociological focus of network research can be complemented by spatial aspects in a variety of ways and applied in several fields of study. Despite its considerable potential, SNA has, to date, played a rather minor role in method training in geographical undergraduate and graduate study programs. This book addresses students interested in (geographical) empirical social network research seeking a basic introduction. It familiarizes the reader with central terms of SNA and with essential functions of the analysis software UCINet. The first steps are presented and explained comprehensibly – from data entry, via visualization to basic network-analytical calculations.
