The relationships among the market orientation, organizational learning, organizational innovations, and organizational performance¡XThe empirical examination for Information Technology Industry in Scientific Industry ParkLin, Yi-Ping 15 May 2001 (has links)
¡§Market orientation will improve performance¡¨, this issue has been discussed over 30 years. Most of scholars think market orientation is the core of modern marketing management and strategy. However, there are numerous empirical studies that have examined the association between market orientation and organizational performance. Many studies have found a positive association between market orientation and organizational performance, but some studies have found no significant relationship. Therefore, some scholars interpret the mixed findings by incorporating the mediating variables. Some studies incorporate the innovation as a mediating variable between market orientation and organizational performance. Additionally, a series of recent studies have found that a firm¡¦s organizational learning is likely to indirectly affect organizational performance by facilitating the type of generative learning that leads to innovations in products, procedures, and systems. Therefore, this research presents a conceptual framework for incorporating organizational learning and innovations as the mediating variable between market orientation and organizational performance.
The sample of this study has 145 companies of Information Technology Industry in Scientific Industry Park. Many quantitative methods, including t-test, ANOVA, regression analysis, and LISREL analysis, and used to test the hypothesis of this research.
The major findings of this study are summarized as following: (1) Overall, the global model fit is acceptable. This empirical result supports the relationships among the market orientation, organizational learning, organizational innovations, and organizational performance. (2) Market orientation has a positive impact on organizational learning, administrative and technical innovation. Furthermore, the direct effect of market orientation on technical innovation is greater than the direct effect of market orientation on administrative innovation, but the total effect of market orientation on technical innovation is smaller than the total effect of market orientation on administrative innovation. (3) Organizational learning has a positive direct impact on administrative and technical innovation, but the direct effect of organizational learning on performance is not statistically significant. However, organizational learning has a positive indirect impact on performance by organizational innovations. Moreover, the direct effect of organizational learning on administrative innovation is greater than the direct effect of organizational learning on technical innovation. The indirect effect of organizational learning on performance by administrative innovation is greater than the indirect effect by technical innovation. (4) The direct effect of administrative innovation on performance is greater than the direct effect of technical innovation on performance. However, the effect of the two innovations types (administrative and technical) interact impact with each other is not statistically significant.

Thanks to these products it’s possible to transport large quantities in a fast and smooth way with all of the usual transportations. The packaging industry is a mature industry, not much development has been done in the different product segments. This is because of a lot of aggravating factors in the industry like standardization of the products which aggravate the innovation process. However Vida Packaging has noticed big advantages with innovation when they have developed a new product which has been well received from the market. The purpose with this report is there by to investigate the possibility of innovation in this kind of business and investigate the possibilities of improvement on the innovation process at Vida Packaging. By mapping out how the innovation process is done today, you got a starting point which you move on the look at different methods which have proven successful for other companies and methods that have proven successful from different research. These then have to be evaluated from the perspective of the company the get methods that works even for this kind of company to get a plan which is customized for Vida Packaging.

Business Model Innovation Towards Sustainability : The Mobile Phone IndustryGunnarsson, Adam, Ljungwaldh, Gustaf January 2015 (has links)
Most companies have some sort of business model showing how they operate their activities, resources, cost and revenues etcetera. What is becoming increasingly emphasised in today'sbusiness is however to integrate sustainability within the business model. Our research willtherefore investigate how companies are attempting to make their business model moresustainable. We have chosen to focus on the mobile phone industry as reports have shown thatthey are a significant contributor to carbon emissions and electronic waste. With this in mind ourresearch question is formulated as follows:"How is the mobile phone industry attempting to innovate their business models towardssustainability?"As we attempt to understand how the mobile phone industry is attempting to innovate towardsgreater sustainability, we have chosen to perform a qualitative study. The material we usedconsisted of reports and web pages as well as interviews with manufacturers of mobile phonesand MNO’s. To analyse the material we had collected, we chiefly utilised a list of materialconcerns specific to the aforementioned mobile phone industry stakeholders, a proposedarchetype system for classifying attempts to innovate the business model to become moresustainable and finally a tool for graphically presenting a business model and its inner workings. Our conclusions show what the companies we have interviewed are attempting to innovate intheir business model. The innovations focus mainly on their partnerships, activities, resourcesand value propositions. By performing this study we contribute to the still young research area ofsustainable business model innovation through providing a snapshot of what our interviewedcompanies are attempting to innovate at the time of our study. Furthermore it also contributes tothe empirical use of the proposed sustainable business model innovation archetypes as we applythem to empirical data in an attempt to classify the data. Through performing both of theseactions we also contribute a proposed way of classifying sustainable business model innovationwithin a business model through the combining of the archetypes and the business model canvas.

Ekonominių veiksnių įtaka inovacijoms versle: Lietuvos atvejis / Influence of Economic Factors on Innovations in Business: the Case of LithuaniaKeršys, Marijus 21 July 2008 (has links)
In the dissertation, various innovation factors are analysed taking into account context and systemic nature of innovation. While analysing theoretical aspects critical for identification of significant innovation factors, innovation definition, typology, and management peculiarities are considered, because they limit the set of innovation factors. Systemic analysis of factors, presented in economic and management literature, allows identifying a number of theoretical innovation factors, which also include economic factors. Problems related to factor measurement are described as well, because measurement issue is a part of factor significance evaluation task. Taking into account the conclusions of theoretical analysis and experience of empirical research on innovation factors, research algorithm and sequence, used for evaluation of innovation factors’ influence, are formulated. It is suggested to evaluate the influence of innovation factors by using logit method and analysing statistical significance of variables’ coefficients and factors’ marginal effects. Using the algorithm and related methods, empirical study of innovation factors’ influence in Lithuanian firms during the periods 1999-2001 and 2002-2004 is conducted. Factors, which have influence on innovation implementation in firms, and innovation factors having... [to full text]
