Vértices/Vetores: Lugares e trajetos do olhar no espaço do museu / -

Isis Ferreira Gasparini 10 November 2017 (has links)
This research comprises a theorical reflection and production in arts that looks up to the complexity of the sight and the expectator\'s body flows inside the museum. It aims to understand the \'dispositifs\' that determines the public\'s movement and behavior in the exhibition spaces and sets a dialogue with other artists\' work which also have the museum as a matter. The process of the work construction starts with a personal archive with images, sound records, among other materials collected in the museum. The research develops into the Vertices/ Vectors, proposed to the arts space at USP. This work reinforces images and sounds appropriated from this archive, articulated with light projection. The dissertation is set up like an artist\'s book, a file-box composed by five brochures, in which theoretical reflections, process notes and a commentary about the work are articulated. Part of the research is also shared on the section \"Rede\" of the on-line platform of the Fórum Permanente.

Paisagem suspensa / Paisagem suspensa

Fabiana Ferreira Queirolo 23 April 2008 (has links)
This study presents my artistic production between the years of 2005and 2007, as well as the poetical and theoretical questions involvedin this works: installed images in several places. The proximity withthe landscape is determined by the articulations of the work with theplace, instigating the reflection about the spatial experience of theobserver. From the artist´s point of view, the text poitns to themediums and suports that are adopted, developing specific relations between the work, phisical space and imagination.

Marcio Liberati Coimbra 30 October 2006 (has links)
The Brazilian market for civil construction and electromechanical assembly has been increasing with the creation and expansion of several industrial parks in the country. The growth of investments in these areas is encouraging specialized and construction companies to focus again on the industrial market. Besides this, all the investments and requirements made by private companies have forced construction companies to develop more sophisticated planning and execution methods, leading to high competitiveness between them. Regarding the budget, a realistic estimative of a certain Industrial Electrical Installation (IEI) usually represents, with more reliability, all the requirements needed to accomplish a particular activity. The purpose of this assay is to define a methodology to determine the most adequate productivity factors as regards to residential and industrial electrical installations budget. Reliable information will help construction companies during the planning, negotiation and accomplishment phases.

The face is the only location

Pinilla Gomez, Luis Gonzalo 01 May 2015 (has links)
My work is a subjective investigation of a constant transit through the real and symbolic frontiers that create memories. By considering the different cultural and social dimensions of my life as a Latino, I am interested in the relationship with a time that is vital, personal but also shared. Through my research, a constant interaction with the materiality of the print process informs the creation of strategies of auto-recognition that are both personal and collective and introduces me to the acceptance of the affective world, thus of my body and my own temporality. The print represents fragmentary traces of an incomplete cartography, that is at the same time intermittent and selective. They are subjective approaches of a personal narrative that is at the same time collective. This visual narrative reflects on my forced displacement and cultural periphery conscience and the unconscious desire for an unmapped world.

Meet me in the sewers at dawn

Wolfe, Julia J. 01 August 2018 (has links)
I make installations, objects, paintings, drawings, prints, and arrangements of found words (which some have classified as poetry). I take note of ideas, imagery, and phrases from places that are commonly seen and heard but often go unnoticed. The work combines humor and innocence with an awareness of our culture of mass-production and consumption, resulting in an approachable, whimsical criticism.

I am real, I am here

Haugaard, Dana 01 May 2012 (has links)
My art practice as means to craft moments and to engineer experiences that will hopefully instigate some sort of heightened self-awareness, brief reminders of body, place, and existence.

Keokuk&keokuk: social structure

Robinson, Cheryl Ann 01 May 2013 (has links)
I am a utilitarian. Art is part of my necessity. My sink's plumbing is disconnected to remind Simone and I of water, of use. I empty the bucket to flush. The task of grey water collection system is on the "to do" list for the next house. `Real time' laundry awaits a hanging. I'll not let the paper pulp ferment for I practice elsewhere everyday. I follow the suns. Always a painter doing the dishes rooted in this moment deep with homemaking, child rearing. Parenting, Puppetry, Poetry and Papermaking, all quiet revolt. Documentation of the subjected female experience is imbedded in my work's pace, material and nature. The drawing, the movement of my hand, binding, wrapping, arranging represents the containment of the resilient gliding spirit. I operate in opposition to the capitalist, militaristic age. I respond through the expanded painter's tradition. The landscape genre is among the origins of my formal training and now expands to include a land ethic. I interpret the history, economics and contemporary patterns of human migration as I move between my public and private spaces.

Practical joy

Laube, Mary NaRee 01 May 2012 (has links)
I will be presenting my work in two parts. The first section is dedicated to recent paintings that comprise my M.F.A. thesis exhibition: Practical Joy. The second section will investigate Practical Joy as an installation. I will raise questions regarding the relationship between my paintings and the exhibition space in order to situate my work into a contemporary discourse.
