The influence of service quality on surgical patients¡¦ satisfaction and their intend to return: intervention of the education for preoperative anesthesia

To supply the health care service has to possess plenty of professional medical knowledge. However, consumers cannot learn sufficient information from the health care market. As a result of unequal position in obtaining information, it is easy to create intenseness between doctors and patients. Patients need to know more about anesthesia and illness to relieve their anxiety. Based on the patient-centered idea to enhance medical service quality, this research expects to discuss the influence of the involvement of the education about preoperative anesthesia on hospitals¡¦ service quality through establishing appropriate anesthesia teaching videotapes. Then, the research tries to connect patients¡¦ satisfaction and their intend to return with the quality of hospitals¡¦ service. The research method is experimental, and the objects of this research are surgical inpatients from one medical center including 219 people in the test group who accepted introduction to preoperative anesthesia and 125 people in the comparative group who were taken care as usual. Some tools such as demography characteristic recording list, disease characteristic recording list, modified PZB (SERVQUAL) scale, satisfaction questionnaire from THIS¡]Taiwan Healthcare Indicator Series¡^and SPSS10.0 software were used to develop descriptive statistic analysis, item analysis, factor analysis, and one-way ANVOA and regression analysis. The results of this research appear as followed: 1. The recognition of hospitals¡¦ service quality has a positive influence on patients¡¦ satisfaction. 2. Patients¡¦ satisfaction has a positive influence on their intend to return. 3. The recognition of hospitals¡¦ service quality has a positive influence on patients¡¦ intend to return. 4. Patients¡¦ satisfaction produces an intermediary effect on the relationship between the recognition of hospitals¡¦ service quality and patients¡¦ intend to return. 5. The education about preoperative anesthesia produces no interference with the relationship between the recognition of hospitals¡¦ service quality and patients¡¦ satisfaction. 6. The education about preoperative anesthesia produces partial interference with the relationship between patients¡¦ satisfaction and their intend to return.

It aims to survey the role assumed by the Conselho de Intend?ncia Municipal de Natal (Municipal Stewardship Council of Natal) in the formation of a new urban order between the years of 1904 and 1929. For a better comprehension of the object of research, the milestone of the time span analyzed in this work was receded to the year of 1890, specifically at the first chapter of this dissertation. In this chapter, we will turn our attention towards an analysis of the referred council, on the regulation of its operation, the relations of this institution with the state government and its mechanisms of action in the city, among other topics. In the next chapter, we will delve into an elite who administrated the city of Natal during the first republic, understanding that the analysis of the formation of a modern city project by the Municipal Stewardship undergoes the comprehension of those who leaded this institution. In the third chapter, we will examine the limits of the municipal management to put into practice its projects to the upraise of a new Natal, between the years of 1904 and 1921. The last chapter, on its turn, presents a new Stewardship, reformulated after a process of administrative streamlining, and a city that transforms itself, especially during the O Grady tenure by receiving major constructions, which alter its main features. We will regard, as the main resources of this study, articles from the daily newspapers A Rep?blica (The Republic) and Di?rio de Natal (Daily Natal), dictums, announcements, laws, state decrees and the messages disclosed by the state government. To build a way of analysis, we make use of authors such as Anthony Giddens, Peter Burke and Laurent Vidal, among many others who discuss concepts related to the proposed theme / O trabalho tem como tema a gest?o do espa?o urbano. Objetiva analisar o papel do Conselho de Intend?ncia Municipal de Natal na forma??o de uma nova ordem urbana, entre os anos de 1904 e 1929. Para melhor compreens?o do objeto de pesquisa, o marco inicial poder? ser recuado para 1890, especialmente no primeiro cap?tulo da disserta??o. Neste cap?tulo, nos voltaremos para o estudo do Conselho de Intend?ncia Municipal de Natal, analisando como era regulado o seu funcionamento, a rela??o dessa institui??o com o governo do Estado e os seus mecanismos de atua??o na cidade, entre outros pontos. Etude de dimensions personnelles, relationnelles et attitudinales dans l'intention de quitter un emploi traditionnellement féminin : quelle place accorder au sexe et aux stéréotypes de genre ? / Study of personal, relational and attitudinal dimensions involved in intend to leave a traditionally female's job : what the sex and gender stereotypes bring ?

Cette recherche doctorale a pour objectif de préciser le rôle du sexe et des stéréotypes de genre dans les dimensions attitudinales et relationnelles en jeu dans l’intention de quitter un emploi traditionnellement féminin. Pour ce faire, cinq études ont été réalisées. Les quatre premières ont trait à la construction d’un outil évaluant l’identification aux stéréotypes de genre alors que la cinquième investigue le rôle de cette dernière et du sexe dans les modèles classiques du turnover.La première étude a été réalisée auprès d’un échantillon de 498 étudiants. Elle a permis de préciser les stéréotypes féminins et masculins véhiculés dans la société française. Ces derniers ont ensuite été validés dans une seconde étude, auprès d’une population générale (N = 574). L’outil ainsi constitué a été proposé dans une troisième étude (N = 542) afin d’en vérifier la validité conceptuelle. Une quatrième étude (N = 431) a mené à l’identification des attentes sociales en matière de caractéristiques genrées, à l’égard des personnes souhaitant travailler dans une profession dite féminine. Enfin, la cinquième et dernière étude (N = 204) investiguait d’une part, l’incidence du sexe et des stéréotypes de genre dans les attitudes (satisfaction et engagement organisationnel), les ressources socio-organisationnelles (LMX, TMX et SOP) et l’intention de quitter un emploi féminin. D’autre part, l’incidence du sexe dans les relations entretenues entre ces dimensions était également questionnée. Les principaux résultats mettent en évidence le caractère genré du turnover puisque les dimensions en cause dans ce dernier diffèrent selon le sexe du travailleur. Si la satisfaction et l’engagement organisationnel apparaissent essentiels pour éviter la rotation volontaire des hommes comme des femmes, les formes d’engagement apparaissent distinctes selon les stéréotypes de genre. Alors que les hommes valorisent un engagement basé sur leurs propres investissements, les femmes préfèrent un engagement centré sur les investissements qu’on leur confère. En ce sens, les pratiques de socialisation organisationnelle paraissent essentielles pour ces dernières. Ce travail souligne également les limites des approches comparatives visant à identifier les différences entre les sexes et démontre l’importance de dissocier les hommes, des femmes lorsque l’on cherche à mettre en évidence des modèles prédictifs de l’intention de quitter. / This doctoral research aims to clarify the role of sex and gender stereotypes in the attitudinal and relational dimensions involved in intend to leave a traditionally female’jobs. To do this, five studies were performed. The first four relate to the construction of a tool who evaluates the identification of gender stereotypes while the fifth investigates the role of the latter and of the sex in the classical models of turnover.The first study was carried out among a sample of 498 students. She clarified the female and male stereotypes in French society. These were then validated in a second study, from a general population (N = 574). The tool thus formed was proposed in a third study (N = 542) to verify the construct validity. A fourth study (N = 431) completed the identification of the social expectations of gendered characteristics, with respect to people wishing to work in a traditionally female's profession. Finally, the fifth and final study (N = 204) was investigating on the one hand, the impact of sex and gender stereotypes in attitudes (satisfaction and organizational commitment), socio-organizational resources (LMX, TMX and SOP) and intend to leave a female employment. On the second hand, the impact of gender in the relationships between these dimensions was also questioned. The main results demonstrate the gendered nature of the turnover since the dimensions involved in the latter differ by gender of the worker. If satisfaction and organizational commitment appear essential to prevent voluntary turnover of both men and women, forms of engagement appear different, depending on gender stereotypes. While men value a commitment based on their own investments, women prefer a commitment focused on investments which are confered to them. In this sense, the organizational socialization practices seem essential for women.This work also highlights the limits of comparative approaches to identify gender differences and demonstrates the importance of separating men and women when seeking to bring out predictive models of turnover intention.

電視廣告對兒童行為的影響 / The impacts of advertisement on children's behavior

就電視廣告對兒童行為的影響而言,過去的研究證據並不一致,頗多值得 爭議之處。本研究將過去研究所採用的主要變項,如年齡、收視行為、父 母順從情形及產品的類別等,探討電視廣告對兒童的意圖行為 (intended behavior)(例如購買的討論與慾望)及實際行為(例如購買 要求的提出與行為)的影響,目的在檢視這些變項對國內兒童消費行為的 解釋力。經由多階集群取樣法,本研究以集體施測之方式,訪問台北市三 個行政區中三所國民小學十二班,共 419位的三、六年級學生。獲得研究 結果﹕1.三、六年級兒童在「飲料」與「電動遊樂器」類產品上,所表 現的購買意圖,並無明顯的差異。但在「零食」與「玩具」類產品上,三 年級兒童的購買意圖則明顯地高於六年級兒童﹔2.在購買要求方面,三 年級兒童對「零食」、「飲料」及「玩具」等三類產品的購買要求,明顯 地高於六年級兒童。而在購買行為方面,三、六年級兒童僅在「玩具」類 產品上有明顯的差異,三年級兒童的購買行為高於六年級兒童。3.收視 時間愈長的兒童在「零食」、「飲料」及「玩具」等產品上,所表現的購 買意圖愈高。在購買要求方面,收視時間愈長的兒童,對「玩具」及「電 動遊樂器」的購買要求愈高。在購買行為方面,則不論是「零食」、「飲 料」、「玩具」或「電動遊樂器」等產品都與收視時間之長短成正比。其 中以「玩具」類產品,無論是在購買意圖、要求及行為方面,都與兒童的 收視時間成正相關。4.無論是在「零食」、「飲料」、「玩具」或「電 動遊樂器」等產品,父母的順從情形愈高,兒童的購買意圖與行為也就愈 高。綜合研究發現1至4之討論,就本研究問題而言,兒童的年齡、收視 時間與父母的順從情形和兒童的購買意圖與行為間之關係,是會受到電視 廣告產品類別的影響。
