Maria Lúcia Florenzano Vidal Gonçalves de Abreu 17 April 2015 (has links)
Understanding the nature of the programs and projects that are pro digital inclusion at school becomes primordial for the teacher to understand the scope of his praxis, the expectancy in relation of the praxis and how much can be done. It is also necessary to reflect about the close relation between the language and the role of the teacher, understanding that the texts that comes before their job, the prescriptive texts, bring a conception about these professional activity. For that, this research aims to analyze the `Practical Manual for Teachers, utilized on its implementation on the Education System. To do so, some procedures were utilized, such as the ones developed by the LAEL (Applied Linguistics and Language Studies) group, which takes their core theses from the LAF (Formation Language and Action) Group. Such procedures can be divided in two groups: analysis of lingual-discursive aspects, focusing on a broader context; and the other group follows a more interpretative approach, built around semantics, to identify the praxis of the teacher. For the theoretical foundation we have been used the principles and basis developed by the Social-discursive Interacionism. Besides that, we also have taken theories from Ergonomics and Labor Psychology, such as the ones developed by researchers in the Activity Clinic and authors that talked about Digital Technology. Results show that technology is seen as protagonist of the manual, and the work of a teacher is understood as the application of contents and procedures enlisted by a higher instance. The teacher seens removed from himself the reflexive capacity of the teaching process, since it is seen as secondary, marginalized by technology and its applications. The analysis also allowed us to conclude that research about the texts about educacional praxis are of the utmost importance for the understanding of the representations expressed in it, offsetting the complexity demanded for the completion of this job.

Hansson, Olov January 2021 (has links)
I denna uppsats analyseras två olika böcker.

The renewal of organizational careers : a foresight approach to career anchors in the food industries

Keuleyan, Remi 11 October 2019 (has links)
The present labour market destabilize the labour society and, with the disappearance of the long-terme employment relationship, employees are forced to develop career strategies to protect themselves from new social risks. However, companies in the food industry are facing difficulties in recruiting and retaining employees needed for their development. Therefore, it appears that the organizational career continues to serve the strategic interests of the companies. In this research, we wonder about the future of careers: “How is the organizational career evolving in the food industries?”. Our objectives are, on one side, to respond to a concrete career management problem in the food industry in France and, on the other side, to extend the current knowledge of vocational guidance that seem insufficient in the light of phenoma observed in the labor market. In addition, we are interested in all socioprofesionnal categories, and in particular the working-class population, which seems largely forgotten in career management research. In order to ancitipate these evolutions, we develop an appropriate methodology by combining the theory of career anchors with the jobs prospective method. The new method, which we call “career foresight”, is based on the analysis of one hundred and forty empirical studies, fifty-eight semi-structured interviews, one hundred and eighty-three self-administered questionnaires, a focus group and a webinar. Our main results concern the co-construction of five prospective career scenarios, the identification of thirty-four possible career orientations and the operationalization of the self-prospective concept.

Educated and Unqualified : Entry-level job requirements and their effect on Self-efficacy of graduating students

Liljemark, Hjalmar, Artan, Ayuub January 2022 (has links)
Problem The exact definition of an entry-level job is being blurred out. Due to rapid technological advancements, clerical occupations that heavily rely on repetitive tasks are being automated at a rapid pace. Meanwhile, multiple entry-level job listings are paradoxically requiring years of entry-level experience from the applicants.  Purpose The purpose is to first validate the phenomena of entry-level jobs requiring entry-level experience through a content analysis of job listings. In addition to this, a survey has been sent out to map out the reactions of students at Jönköping International Business regarding this paradoxical phenomenon. Method The methodology is mainly in an experimental setting to assess a novel phenomenon. The occupation we have chosen is “economy assistant” where 50 listings were inspected in the Stockholm region. Vignette scenarios have also been supplied to the students in the survey, to ascertain how they respond with regards to motivation, stress, and sense of qualification.  Results The results showed that most economy assistant listings required prior qualified experience in addition to an academic degree. The survey found statistically significant effects of job requirements reducing motivation to apply, applicants' sense of qualification, and increasing applicants' stress.

THE EFFECT OF IMMIGRATION STATUS ON EARNINGS OF SKILLED IMMIGRANTS IN STEM OCCUPATIONS

Charkasova, Aynur 01 June 2021 (has links)
The aim of this study was two-fold: firstly, it attempted to focus on the earnings of foreign-born STEM professionals in the U.S. workforce to examine whether this population was at an earning disadvantage compared to the U.S. citizens. Secondly, it aimed to investigate whether legal status acquisition (from temporary work visas to permanent residency) enhanced the earnings of foreign-born STEM professionals in the U.S. workforce. This study utilized a mixed-methods (QUAN/QUAL) research design. ANCOVA (Analysis of Covariance) was used to test the hypothesis in order to determine any statistically significant differences between the group means. Secondary data from the National Survey of College Graduates (NSCG) was utilized for this study. The results of the ANCOVA test showed that temporary worker visa holders were not at earning advantage/disadvantage compared to the U.S. citizens, and there was no statistical evidence that legal status acquisition enhanced the salaries of the foreign-born STEM professionals in the U.S. workforce. The interviews indicated that foreign-born STEM professionals (temporary worker visa holders, LPRs, and naturalized U.S. citizens) were not at earning disadvantage compared to their U.S.-born counterparts. Although the legal status change did not enhance the salaries of the skilled immigrants, it did improve job mobility and overall flexibility.

Identifying & Prioritizing the Most Important Customer Jobs : A multiple case study when designing a Value Proposition

Sanigök, Gürhan, Bhandurge, Siddharth Sudhakar January 2020 (has links)
This research studies the factors underlying the process of identifying and prioritizing customer jobs while designing value propositions. More specifically, this study fulfils the objective of conceptualizing how organizations identify and prioritize the most important customer jobs by adopting a multiple case study method. The paper inductively addresses the research question ‘‘how do firms/organizations identify and prioritize the most important customer jobs?’’ and adopts a qualitative research design with a multiple case study strategy. The project case studies analysed comprised seven different companies in various industries. All the case companies of this study fulfil the criteria of working on customer behaviours or similar fields to understand their customers. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews and examined using a thematic analysis. The results indicate that case study organizations have no common understanding of the theory for identifying and prioritizing the most important customer jobs. In other words, the case study organizations of this study use different methods to understand their customers. The practical implication of this research is to analyse how organizations are trying to identify and prioritize the most important customer jobs and how they avoid the risk of going for ‘‘not so important jobs’’.The theoretical contribution of the study is to recommend to all organizations supportive theories for identifying and prioritizing the most important customer jobs with some of the factors within this study.

Smysluplnost práce v ekonomice platforem / Meaningfulness of Work in Platform Economy

Kreisinger, Jonáš January 2021 (has links)
In my thesis I deal with the concept of meaningful work in a platform economy. Meaningful work is a theoretical as well as a practical problem that exists across various fields of study. Meaningful work is increasingly important topic, which corresponds with actual problems that workers face in their workplace. The main goal of the thesis is to inquire if and how is this concept useful to describe the working conditions of emerging platform economy, which strengthens the class conflict at the workplace. I research this problem on the case of Viennese food delivery service Mjam with application of the method of the phenomenological analysis, which enabled me to study dailiness and experiencing of meaningfulness of work of the couriers. For the analysis, I conducted semi-structured interviews with the riders. Even though the couriers experience occasionally meaningfulness as well as meaninglessness at the workplace, the thesis shows that this concept is rather used to rephrase their crucial problems of the workplace. The researched literature partially ignores the real problems of workers in their workplace as well as the complexity and heterogeneity of the problem of meaningful work.
