O objetivo geral desta dissertação é analisar o não dito sobre os requisitos de seleção de pessoal das empresas de telefonia móvel, através de vagas encaminhadas para empresas intermediadoras de emprego. O estudo está centrado em três grandes eixos: a flexibilização, os requisitos descritos e os requisitos não descritos nas seleções realizadas por intermediadoras de emprego para as empresas de telefonia móvel. O primeiro eixo diz respeito ao contexto em que ocorrem os processos seletivos e verifica os aspectos explícitos e implícitos das relações flexíveis estabelecidas entre operadoras e empresas intermediadoras. O segundo eixo está centrado na análise dos requisitos descritos como necessários para os cargos, sendo esses critérios os anunciados para os candidatos. O terceiro eixo, por fim, analisa os requisitos não descritos, aqui nomeados como “não ditos”e não anunciados, mas praticados pelas empresas e determinantes para contratação ou exclusão de candidatos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativo-exploratória. A coleta de dados foi realizada através de entrevistas semiestruturadas, realizadas com 14 sujeitos – gestores, selecionadores e trabalhadores – que atuam em empresas intermediadoras de emprego. O estudo constata que as vagas encaminhadas para as empresas intermediadoras são predominantemente operacionais e temporárias e que os processos seletivos realizados ocorrem mediante pressão por cumprimento de prazos e metas impostas pelas operadoras. A pesquisa revela que os requisitos de seleção de pessoal vão além dos descritos e anunciados socialmente, identificando 12 elementos que não constam no perfil formal das empresas, mas que são considerados na seleção. Com isso, questiona a negação da subjetividade e discurso de imparcialidade e neutralidade nos processos seletivos sustentados por correntes tradicionais da Administração e Psicologia. O estudo também discute a aplicação do modelo de competências no contexto de submissão e pressão por prazos em que estão inseridas as intermediadoras e conclui que o seu caráter subjetivo e ainda incipiente, em termos de ferramentas de avaliação, ajuda a mascarar os requisitos velados. / The objective of this paper in general is to analyze the untold about the requirements for personnel selection of mobile phone companies through vacancies taken to job brokerage companies. The study focuses on three main areas: flexibility, the requirements described and the requirements that are not described in the selections made by job brokerage companies to the mobile phone companies. The first axis is related to the context in which there are selective processes and it verifies the explicit and implicit aspects of flexible relations established between operators and brokerage companies. The second axis focuses on the analysis of the requirements needed for the positions described, these being the advertised criteria for applicants. The third axis, finally, discusses the requirements that are not described, here named as "untold" and not announced, but practiced by companies and fundamental to the recruitment or exclusion of applicants. This is an exploratory qualitative research approach. Data collection was conducted through semi structured interviews with 14 individuals - managers, pickers and workers - who work for job brokerage companies. The study points out that the vacancies taken to the job brokerage companies are mainly operational, temporary and the selective processes occur under pressure because of meeting deadlines and targets imposed by the operators. The research reveals that the requirements for personnel selection go beyond those described and announced socially, identifying 12 elements not found in the formal profile of the companies, but considered in the selection. Thus, it questions the denial of subjectivity and discourse of impartiality and neutrality in the selection processes supported by traditional patterns of management and psychology. The study also discusses the application of the competency model in the context of submission and pressure for deadlines in which job brokerage companies are embedded and it concludes that its subjective and still nascent nature in terms of assessment tools helps mask the hidden requirements.

The regional and local development in many Brazilian cities and especially in the Northeast from the 1990s, was based on tax incentives that did not take into account the aspects of identity and culture with the potential of these places, with the argument of persuasion generation employment and income for localities more humble. Given this scenario was implemented in the 2000s in the municipality of Frei Paulo (SE) the footwear industry "Vulcabrás Azaleia", which generates significant direct jobs and contributes substantially to socioeconomic changes of the city, but out of sync with the prevailing theme of local development and also to sustainable development. Thus this paper aims to examine sustainability from the perspective of local development in the municipality of Frei Paulo (SE) checking the proportionate influences from the footwear industry. This is an investigation of descriptive and explanatory character of quantitative and qualitative nature, data were collected by means of semi-structured questionnaire with open and closed questions, applied to the actors involved in the municipal context. The study concluded that there was job creation and which substantially increased the purchasing power of the population and therefore GDP growth of the city with a better distribution of income to the population through the HDI. Finally it is shown that the actors involved in the county in its entirety unaware of environmental responsibility actions performed by the footwear industry in favor of the locality, but also understand little or nothing of the issues involving sustainable development and local development / O desenvolvimento regional e local em diversos municípios brasileiros e principalmente na região Nordeste a partir da década de 1990, teve como base incentivos fiscais que não levaram em consideração os aspectos de identidade com as potencialidades e cultura destas localidades, tendo como argumento de persuasão a geração de emprego e renda para localidades mais humildes. Diante deste cenário foi implantada na primeira década de 2000 no município de Frei Paulo (SE) a indústria calçadista Vulcabrás Azaleia , a qual gera significativos empregos diretos e que contribui substancialmente para mudanças socioeconômicas da cidade, mas sem sincronia com a temática vigente de desenvolvimento local e também com o desenvolvimento sustentável. Sendo assim este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar sob a perspectiva da sustentabilidade o desenvolvimento local do município de Frei Paulo (SE) verificando as influências proporcionadas a partir da indústria calçadista. Trata-se de uma investigação do tipo descritivo de caráter explicativo e de natureza quanti-qualitativa, os dados foram coletados mediante aplicação de questionário semi-estruturado com questões abertas e fechadas, aplicados aos atores envolvidos no contexto municipal. O estudo concluiu que houve geração de empregos e que aumentou substancialmente o poder aquisitivo da população e consequentemente aumento do PIB do município com uma melhor distribuição de renda para população, através do IDH. Por fim é demonstrado que os atores envolvidos no município desconhecem em sua totalidade ações de responsabilidade socioambiental realizada pela indústria calçadista em favor da localidade, como também pouco ou nada entendem dos aspectos que envolvem o desenvolvimento sustentável e o desenvolvimento local

FundaÃÃo Cearense de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Cientifico e TecnolÃgico / A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar as configuraÃÃes do âbicoâ de policiais militares da cidade de Fortaleza na seguranÃa privada. Foi realizado um panorama dessa atividade que possibilitou enumerar trÃs caracterÃsticas recorrentes do bico em Fortaleza, tais como: as atividades de seguranÃa em estabelecimentos comerciais (casas de show, barracas de praia, restaurantes, salÃo de beleza, mercadinhos, dentre outros), seguranÃa particular (de empresÃrios ou comerciantes) e, por Ãltimo, o âbico veladoâ (fazer policiamento privado em horÃrio de serviÃo, concedendo, nesse sentido, maior atenÃÃo a determinados pontos comerciais). O trabalho revelou que essa prÃtica, em Fortaleza, Ã sustentada tanto por parte dos oficiais militares como pelos PraÃas, e mostrou que ambos formam redes de intermediÃrios ou atravessadores que vendem seguranÃa, principalmente, para empresÃrios e comerciantes. A pesquisa abordou tambÃm a estreita relaÃÃo entre a violÃncia e a expansÃo do bico na cidade, denunciando o reforÃo de uma cultura do medo pautada no sentimento de inseguranÃa. Por fim, o trabalho tratou das implicaÃÃes dessa atividade para os policiais militares em decorrÃncia do CÃdigo Disciplinar e de Ãtica da referida corporaÃÃo. A dissertaÃÃo trabalhou, ainda, com a relaÃÃo entre precariedade do trabalho policial e do trabalho na atividade de seguranÃa privada. / The present reseach has the aim of analyzing the configuration of odd jobs on private security of military policemen in the city of Fortaleza. With this in mind, a panorama of this activity was traced in order to enumerate the three recurrent characteristics of the odd jobs in Fortaleza, such as: security activities icommercial establishments (concert houses, beach huts, restaurants, beauty salons, markets, among others), private security (of businessmen or merchants) and, finally, the veiled odd job (to perform private patrolling while on duty, giving more attention to specific commercial points). The work revealed that this practice in Fortaleza is sustained both by the military officers and the privates and showed that both form networks of intermediaries or middlemen who sell security to businessmen or merchants. The research also dealt with the strict relationship between violence and the expansion of odd jobs through the city, denouncing the intensification of a culture of fear based on the feeling of insecurity. At last, the work dealt with the implications of this activity for military policemen due to their disciplinary and ethics code. The discussion ended also with the relationship between the precariousness of the police work and the work on private security.

O objetivo deste trabalho é clarear a relação entre o desenvolvimento regional e a atividade turística e discutir implicações para um país em desenvolvimento como o Brasil, diante das atuais condições da sociedade urbano-industrial ou pós-industrial e frente ao fenômeno da globalização. Nesse sentido, estabeleceu como hipótese principal a afirmação de que o turismo pode gerar desenvolvimento regional. A presente pesquisa foi dividida em duas partes. Na primeira parte, foi feito um resgate teórico de estudos pertinentes ao desenvolvimento regional e `as peculiaridades do fenômeno turístico; na segunda parte operacionalizou-se uma pesquisa em municípios do Estado de São Paulo principalmente a partir da Teoria de Base Econômica Regional. Dentro dos parámetros e limites estabelecidos para esta pesquisa, os resultados obtidos confirmam em algum grau as possibilidades de desenvolvimento regional por meio da atividade turística, demonstrando-se que o turismo pode se constituir numa atividade exportadora ou básica a estimular atividades não-básicas ou locais no espaço de uma região, estimulando assim o crescimento econômico. / The aim of this research is to clarify the relationship between regional development and tourist activity as well as discuss its implications in a developing country like Brazil in view of the current conditions of the urban-industrial or post-industrial society, besides the phenomenon of globalization. Hence, a main hypothesis was stated, namely, that tourism may generate regional development. The present research is divided into two parts. In the first part, theoretical studies relevant to regional development as well as peculiarities of the tourist phenomenon were elucidated. In the second part, a research was carried out in several towns, especially on the Theory of Regional Economic Base. According to the parameters and limits established in the current study, the results somehow confirm the possibility of regional development through tourist which can stimulate non-basic or local activities, consequently, encouraging economic development.

Evaluation of an Ergonomic Intervention Program for the Prevention of Cumulative Trauma Disorders in IndustryVillaneuva, Raul 08 1900 (has links)
The present study analyzed the health benefits data of employees in a southwestern United States manufacturing plant. The data consisted of the prevalence rates of headaches, muscle injuries, upper respiratory complaints, and colds/flu for baseline (1985) and intervention levels (1986-1988) for five high-risk jobs. The prevalence rates of headaches and muscle injuries decreased significantly (p < .001) from baseline levels for all five job groups. Comparisons with a nontreatment group revealed significant decreases (p < .05) for three of the five job groups. The findings support the efficacy of the ergonomic interventions. A health surveillance system is recommended for early detection and prevention of cumulative trauma disorders.

The study consists of a psychobiography of the American entrepreneur and innovative co-founder of Apple Computers, Steven Paul Jobs (1955 – 2011). The psychobiographical research method qualitatively considers the lived life of an individual in an attempt to understand the psychological development in the context of applied psychological theory. A theoretical integration of Adler‘s Individual Psychology and Antonovsky‘s Sense of Coherence was utilized in the present study. This integrative approach facilitated a dynamic and holistic picture of the individual‘s functioning in illuminating not only personality but also the individual‘s social context, choice making capacity, general resistance resources and the individual‘s ‗meaning making‘ capacity in the strive towards health and superiority. Steven Paul Jobs revolutionised personal computing. Ranked as Forbes‘ seventeenth most powerful person and Man of the Year by The Financial Times in 2010, Jobs‘ contribution to modern technology is widely acknowledged and revered. To ensure the accurate description of the lived life of Steven Paul Jobs, extensive data was examined by utilizing Alexander‘s model of identifying salient themes. The study considered the nature and methodology of psychobiography, the theories of Alfred Adler and Aaron Antonovsky and the life of Steven Paul Jobs that resulted in an integrated psychological description of the subject. The findings of this study indicate that Steven Paul Jobs‘ unique context (environment and constitutional attributes) was valuable in light of the theoretical frameworks that the present study is grounded upon as it illustrated an individual‘s self-determination and capacity to exercise choice in response to life challenges. The study highlighted that the individual is not necessarily a passive bystander to his life events but rather is driven by an internal forward striving. Analýza dopadů poskytnutí investiční pobídky společnosti XYZ na trhu práce / Analysis of the impact of investment incentive at labour market at example of company XYZ, s.r.o.Vokálová, Michaela January 2013 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to verify whether investment incentives are causing expected effect at job market of Czech Republic. The analysis is performed on the basis of data from the agency CzechInvest, the Czech Statistical Office, General Finance Directorate and Public register and Collection of documents. The analysis of approved investment projects showed that 99 % of companies were interested in the tax credit, 36 % of companies were interested in donation for training and retraining, 33 % of companies were interested in for creation of new jobs and in other variants of incentives firms were interested less than in 5 %. From comparison of estimated cumulative amount of the tax credit from investment projects with real tax relief based from tax returns was calculated that for the period 1999 - 2012 has been utilized only 26 % of cumulative expected tax deductions. Difficulties associated with the using of the tax credit are examined in the analysis of financial statements, where was analyzed company XYZ Ltd. and 11 other companies which were supported by investment incentives. The conclusion based at financial statement analysis explains that 45 % of analyzed companies had to face complications with using of investment incentives, which were mainly due to loss of income. Following the high interest of companies in a tax credit there is criticized the current definition of the law, where there is insufficient connection between amount of tax credit and creation of new jobs.

The aim of this thesis is to describe the czech labour market and compare it with other european countries. Theoretical part of this thesis describes common labour market characteristics and definitions which are necessary for the practical part. The other theoretical part presents surveys which are carried out in this field and from which the data are obtained. The third category of theoretical part focuses on population and the ageing labour market, fourth part describes flexible jobs as one of the potentional possible solutions. Practical part is divided into three parts. First of them describes czech labour market from 1993 till the present days. The focus was on its structure same as basic labour market rates. In the second part, czech labour market is compared with other european coutries. To avoid the influence of different age structure of populations the method of standardization is used for the comparison. In the final part the cluster analysis method is used to find countries that are similar to Czech republic according to their labour market conditions.

Interrelations between business and technology : a case studyTshamano, Tshifhiwa Joshua 23 April 2014 (has links)
M.Ing. (Engineering Management) / The current research investigated the inter-relationship between Steve Jobs and Apple Company. The study looked at Steve if he launched Apple with business orientation. The researcher used Yin’s (1994) single case, holistic design research method and looked at the data gathered from thirty-seven authors. Steve Jobs’ business orientation was measured using Snaddon (2008) business measures. Symbols were used to indicate whether the evidence found from different sources is direct, indirect, negative or if there was no evidence at all. A score that ranged from -1 for negative evidence to +2 for direct evidence was assigned to evidence from each author; then the total score that represented evidence from all thirty- seven authors on each business measure was presented in the results column (see table 4). Based on the total score of each measure, the strength of the relationship was established. The results showed that there was an inter-relationship between Steve Jobs’ business strategy and the Snaddon (2008) business measures. The evidence gathered did not support the hypothesis that Steve Jobs had little business orientation and the conclusion drawn was that Steve was business oriented when he (and his partners) launched Apple Company.
