<p>Arvika Smide is a supplier to the automotive industry with a focus on advanced drop forgings including powertrain and bearings. The great experience and high quality is Arvika Smide’s speciality. Today's competition in the industries puts high demands on the efficiency where each company has a quest for perfection.</p><p>Arvika Smide has been through the thesis of Karlstad University, called for a situation analysis of aftertreatment whose effectiveness has not been fully desirable. The department includes the production steps blasting, quality control and packaging.</p><p>The thesis contains the results from the situation analysis and comparisons of the calculations for selected reference period Q4 2009^th. The basis for the situation analysis has been carried out by extensive studies of production in close cooperation with the department's operators. For monitoring and developing of the current situation the project Bläster 2010 was started, which is an efficiency project aimed at developing 5S-work of the department and reach the goal of an e-factor of 1.0.</p><p>The Efficiency factor should work in a central part in the process which is the most important key figure.</p><p>A number of suggestions based on the current situation analysis are presented which is seen as inspiring ideas for further work.</p><p>The result reveals a number of factors affecting the cause of the current situation. The absence of a well-established production system, for example <em>Lean Production</em> together with communication, is the more abstract problems, while the mechanical defects of the blaster machines represents another significant part.</p>

Vårdcentralen Cityhälsan Centrum i Norrköping upplever stora svårigheter och problem kring läkemedelshanteringen för patienter som nyttjar dosdispenseringstjänsten ApoDos. Problemen anses av personalen ha eskalerat sedan sommaren 2012, när det nya IT-verktyget Pascal för läkemedelsordinering infördes. Flera yrkesgrupper inom vårdcentralen berörs av arbetet med ApoDos och är på olika sätt delaktiga i arbetet som följer då en patient ska anslutas till dostjänsten. Ingen av de involverade yrkesgrupperna vet vad som orsakar problemen eller var dessa uppstår. Examensarbetet syftar därför till att kartlägga flödet då en hemsjukvårdspatient ansluts till dosdispenseringstjänsten ApoDos, för att sedan identifiera problemområden och föreslå förbättringar. Examensarbetet har utförts på uppdrag av Cityhälsan Centrum och intervjuer och observationer har gjorts med såväl vårdcentralens anställda som den tillhörande hemsjukvårdspersonalen. Resultatet av intervjuer och litteraturstudier är en kartläggning av det ideala flödet och det faktiska flödet. Båda flödena startar då beslut om att en patient ska anslutas till ApoDos tas och slutar då patienten har sina läkemedel i hemmet. Utifrån jämförelse mellan dessa flöden och efter genomförande av ytterligare intervjuer har problemområden sedan identifierats. Problemen har observerats och de aktuella yrkesgrupperna för respektive problem har intervjuats, varefter åtgärdsförslag arbetats fram. Dessa har tagits fram med stöd från den valda teoretiska referensramen Lean, och för varje problem har slöserier identifierats och metoder för att minska eller eliminera dessa har presenterats. Resultatet är en identifiering av var i flödet problem uppstår och vad som orsakar dessa. Problem har främst funnits de delar av flödet som på något sätt är kopplat till IT-verktyget Pascal. En analys och diskussion har förts över möjliga, vidtagbara åtgärder för Cityhälsan Centrum, och dessa handlar främst om standardisering, skapa en ökad förståelse för arbetet, eliminera icke värdeskapande aktiviteter och att göra rätt från början. Cityhälsan Centrum ska med hjälp av resultatet och analysen själva kunna genomföra de förslagna åtgärderna och då uppnå en tidsbesparing eller en förenkling av aktiviteter som ingår i flödet. Om de väljer att genomföra föreslagna åtgärder skulle det även kunna leda till ett snabbare förlopp från det att patienten önskar bli ansluten till ApoDos till dess att denne får sina påsar levererade.

Logistics planning for a construction site is usually limited by traffic flow to and from the workplace. The geographical location of the construction site is determined by roads around the workplace and opportunities for well-functioning logistics. Inventory of material is often impossible because of the frequently small workspaces. As a result, a concern relating material handling remains . Even before the establishment of a construction site, it is required in the construction industry to eliminate errors that might arise in the planning stage. The aim of this study was to contribute with better understanding of the relationship between well-planned logistics and reduced costs at the Swedish construction company Peab. To clarify this a survey was submitted at two construction sites and a sample of calculations were performed on reduced / additional costs at examples of "good" and "bad" planning of logistics, to show how to reduce costs. Higher requirements are placed on construction firms and demand such as shorter project times and lower costs and this is supposed to lead to a high profitability. To increase the profitability it is required that the construction industry is planning the amount of resources, manpower, material and time in the absolutely best way. Logistics is a part of the construction industry which may help reduce costs and provide greater profitability, if it is seen as a saving and not just a cost. There should, in other words, be a greater emphasis on planning of the logistics already at early stages of projects. There is a great amount of work on purchase of materials in the company Peab in the current situation, but if the company also put equal work on logistics, the planning could be optimized even before the project starts. Through good planning Peab will not only save on cost of purchase, but may also contribute to a better handling of material. Better handling of material also contributes to reduced costs for the project. Material is not only bound capital but can also disappear in waste, thievery or even destroyed. This is also appreciated by both professional workers and employees in the workplace. The opportunities for improvement and efficiency of logistics at Peab are great. By selecting a logistics manager at each construction project and also having a specialist in charge of the region that serves as support for the projects, Peab can save on logistics. The purpose of this report is to look at changing the view of logistics today on construction sites. The result of the calculation examples and survey shows where the largest cost items located in the various projects and how to achieve lower costs through better planning.
