Dotazník interpersonální diagnózy jako diagnostický nástroj personální psychologie / Interpersonal Check List as a Diagnostic Tool of Industrial and Organizational Psychology

Hanuš, David January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this paper is to verify the applicability of Interpersonal Check List for assessing managerial potential, namely leadership potential. The evolution and findings of leadership research are summarized in the theoretical part of the article. Possible effects of personality traits on leader effectivity are theoretically explained. There is evidence that these traits affect the perception of leaders. Empirical tests show that employees in leadership positions score higher in several dimensions of Interpersonal Check List, particularly in managerial - autocratic, competitive - exploitive and blunt - aggresive dimensions. The discussion of these findings leads to the conclusion that the mentioned dimensions could be considered as indicators of leadership potential. Interpersonal Check List is a valid instrument for assessing leadership potential.

Individual game design elements in to-do lists – How the addition of feedback and clear goals is experienced

Lindholm, Oscar January 2017 (has links)
Gamification research has for a long time been interested in determining its definition and in which fields it works. By combining several game design elements and applying them in different non-game contexts it has been proven to successfully enhance certain activities, partly depending on the users and the contexts. Modern gamification research has started looking into how it works and in doing so, examining the individual effects of the game design elements. In this study, feedback and clear goals have been chosen as the game design elements to be examined when implemented individually in to-do lists. Feedback was represented as emoticons that changed from neutral to happy as tasks were checked off the list. Clear goals were implemented in the lists as an explicit goal. Together with a plain to-do list, nine participants used the three lists for nine days while keeping a visual diary. Afterward, they were subjected to interviews regarding their experiences. The framework of the self-determination theory was used in analyzing the results. The results showed that when using the list with feedback the participants were slightly better at clearing tasks but that the motivation, sometimes, seemed to come from trying to avoid negative feelings that the neutral emoticons seemed to invoke. The list with clear goals showed that in many cases the participants were actively trying to reach the given goal, seemingly, even when the participants mentioned not doing so. It was also, more often than not, experienced as controlling.

A evolução do PT paulista: uma abordagem sobre a organização do partido e seu desenvolvimento eleitoral no estado / The evolution of the Workers Party (PT) in São Paulo: an approach on the organization of the party and its electoral development

Davidian, Andreza 13 March 2014 (has links)
This dissertation seeks to understand the evolution of the Workers Party (PT) in the state of São Paulo. In the broader context of the debate on political parties, the PT was always presented as a counterpoint in the approaches of the Brazilian political system that, starting from different theoretical paradigms, the researchers always concluded that these institutions were bound to be fragile organizations. Therefore, the analysis of the party from the point of view of its organization becomes particularly interesting. The movements of expansion and contraction of the partys structure will be observed considering not only the core founder who leads the party, but also based on its membership roster, its behavior in disputes at the local level and its performance in proportional elections. All these aspects are related to the development of the organization in the state that the party was born.

Cognitive bias modification : the effect of mental imagery on reaction rate to emotionally valenced stimuli

Kunstler, Erika C. S. 08 1900 (has links)
A normative experimental study was undertaken to establish whether engaging in positive, negative, and neutral mental imagery affected the reaction rate of participants to positive, negative, and neutral word stimuli. The sample consisted of computer literate, English speaking participants with no history of clinical disorders. A total of 80 participants took part in the study, with 40 participants from either gender. The results of a factorial ANOVA indicated that the type of mental imagery engaged in had a significant effect on the rate at which participants responded to stimuli (p=.00023, F=8.4057), whilst the emotional valence of the stimuli did not have a significant effect (p=.30503, F=1.1877). However, the interaction between the type of mental imagery and the emotional valence of the stimuli was highly significant (p=.00794, F=3.4576), thereby indicating that engaging in positive or negative mental imagery did bias participants towards a faster reaction rate to positive or negative stimuli respectively. / M.
