Geometria espacial no ensino médio: aspectos socioculturais, resolução de problemas e o uso de materiais manipuláveis / Spatial Geometry in High School: Sociocultural Aspects, Problem Solving and the Use of Manipulated Materials

Penha, Ricardo Trindade 26 February 2019 (has links)
This work consists in the elaboration and application of a didactic sequence for the teaching of spatial geometry, in the third year of Brazilian High School. It sought to incorporate sociocultural aspects of students´ dayly experiences, problem solving methods, and the use of manipulated materials. Its main aim was to promote a different approach to geometry teaching, thus creating better learning conditions, and bringing Mathematics teaching closer to students\' reality, by providing a more meaningful and dynamic learning experience. As a consequence of this process, the students\' growing interest was observed: what was resistance at first became motivation for a new learning process.

AvaliaÃÃo do custo e equivalÃncia farmacÃutica de hidroclorotiazida em formulaÃÃes industrializadas e magistrais / Evaluation of the cost and pharmaceutical equivalence of hydrochlorothiazide in industrialized formulations and magisterial.

Daniel Riani Gotardelo 11 December 2006 (has links)
The hydrochlorothiazide is one of the medicaments more prescribed in the treatment of the arterial hypertension all over the world. It has been used extensively in Brazil, in public program of Ministry of Health. Tests of pharmaceutical equivalence were accomplished in industrialized tablets and manipulated capsules seeking the verification of the quality and of the costs of the medicaments containing this drug. The dosage (determination of the tenor) was done by chromatography liquid of high efficiency, showing accuracy and specificity. Among the three industrialized medicines (generic, similar and reference), the generic medicament, although it is more than 40% cheaper in relation to the reference, it showed alterations in the test of hardness, indicating smaller resistance of that sample to the packing processes, storage and transport. Among the six coming lots of manipulation drugstores, one of the lots, that with the smallest cost of the market, showed dissolution in two times unsatisfactory, not having been approved in the initial evaluation done in all the lots of studied medicaments.

Automatic detection of manipulated packages by image comparison

Blateyron, Remi January 2016 (has links)
Shipping companies have a lot of difficulties to control and screen packages such as mail or different types of cargo that may contain dangerous or illegal goods. This project has the goal to enhance the supply chain security by elaborating a way to automatically detect manipulated packages. Based on image comparison, an algorithm can say whether a package shows significant doubts to be put aside for more inspection. After being coded, this algorithm is explained in this thesis. It uses an image registration method as well as a differentiation technique to detect tampered patterns from one image of package at one point of the supply chain to another image of the same package at a later stage. Results show that re-sealed packages, ripped packages or blacked labels can be detected and minor manipulations such as modifications on the barcode can be detected with a close-up of the local region. The principal goal of this project is to give recommendations on what is possible to detect and how to implement this algorithm. This work is a first step toward the use of image processing in future work for package screening.

The Influence of a Therapist Workshop in Alliance Strategies on Client Engagement: Feasibility and Preliminary Efficacy

Smith-Hansen, Lotte 01 September 2010 (has links)
The client-therapist relationship has long been recognized as an important element in psychotherapy, and research has demonstrated its robust association with positive outcomes. This study examined the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of training therapists in strategies for improving therapeutic relationships with clients. The strategies were compiled from the empirical literature, drawing on the work of Hilsenroth and Cromer (2007), Castonguay (1996), and Safran and Muran (2000). The study employed a manipulated training design that has the benefit of addressing naturalistic effectiveness questions, while adhering to the rigorous scientific standards of controlled efficacy research (Hayes, 2002). Participants were 57 therapists working at five community mental health clinics who were randomly assigned to the brief alliance training workshop (in which they participated prior to starting treatment with a new client) or to a delayed-training control condition. Outcomes assessed included therapists' self-reported use of alliance strategies in session 1, therapist-rated alliance quality after session 1, and early client engagement. Engagement was operationalized in several ways: number of sessions attended in the first four weeks, planned session frequency (e.g., weekly, monthly), attendance rate (i.e., percent of scheduled sessions attended), and treatment status at the end of four weeks (e.g., therapist and client had next session scheduled, client had terminated unilaterally). Counter to hypotheses, one-way ANOVAs and chi-square analyses revealed no statistically significant differences between the training and the delayed-training conditions on the primary outcomes. However, effect size estimates suggested that clinicians in the training condition reported better alliances with their clients than clinicians who had yet to receive the training (d = 0.40, 95% CI [-0.13, 0.93], small to medium effect). Furthermore, therapists' use of alliance strategies taught in the workshop was significantly correlated with alliance quality. In addition to the preliminary efficacy findings, the study generated important information about the feasibility of conducting psychotherapy research in naturalistic settings, as well as recommendations for future studies. The manipulated training design holds promise for collaborations between researchers and clinicians seeking to bridge science and practice.

[pt] TEU CORPO NÃO É ROSTO: EXPRESSIVIDADE FACIAL E SUA RELAÇÃO COM O CULTO À JUVENTUDE NA CULTURA MIDIÁTICA / [en] YOUR BODY IS NOT A FACE: FACIAL EXPRESSIVENESS AND ITS CONNECTION TO THE YOUTH CULT IN THE MEDIA CULTURE

ELAINE VIDAL OLIVEIRA 30 May 2019 (has links)
[en] This study is about the facial expressiveness and the cult of the eternal youth, exemplified by the images of the individuals in the media culture. Here, we turn the lenses to the females bodies throughout history and in the contemporary society, digital and narcissist. It is noteworthy that even though in the 20th and 21st centuries these bodies were socially accepted and with the sexual revolution became more independent including the main advertising and media, sometimes the women bodies are still stereotyped and subdued. In an actuality whose corporeity is mediatized and millimetrically controlled, women s bodies with wrinkles are many times excluded from the advertising spaces, perhaps from the public space, and directed to play very specific and often stereotyped social roles. In this case the body is presented as an object of desire that wears out over time. So we seek to identify the pictorial resources and significacionais used in ads, as well as understand how these resources are organized in order to produce identification in public (GOMES, 2004). The semiology of Barthes (1990) and concepts of Aumont (2000), Jolie (1996), Dondis (1997) and the understanding of social forms, in dialogue with Formismo - the game of appearances - proposed by Maffesoli (1988) , p.29), understanding that form allows the seizure of the image and its prägnanz the social body We observe also the physically and sexually liberated bodies of women in advertising, fashion and films, becoming more and more charged with connotations and object of investment, consumption and obsession. In some cultures the whole body is face and this body-face is the subject s most human place, where the senses of identity crystallize and the recognition of the other is established. In our contemporary society, advertising presents itself as the capitalism s official art (Harvey, 2005, p.65). It is a result of the historical context to which it belongs, not an isolated phenomenon. Today the advertising is a hybrid element and assumes an important economic and social role in a reality focused on mass consumption. This work observes the connection between the absence of the faces without wrinkles and marks of expression in the advertisements and their migration to the cosmetic clinics, consequently to the streets and the social places to where these faces are routed. As a result, it can be observed that the models of women presented by advertising in the 21st century mostly still propagate the idadismo and the exclusion of the marks of the time in the faces media, in the printed media as in the electronic media. The experiences provided by the passage of time, successes, joys, failures and achievements; living loves, born children, affective losses, produce transformations that should not be on their faces.

Analýza identifikačních metod v oblasti účetních podvodů / Analysis identification methods of accounting fraud

JAROLÍMKOVÁ, Kamila January 2018 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of creative accounting and subsequent manipulation of financial statements. This is the current topic in our country and in the world. After several world scandals in the area of deliberate misrepresentation of accounting, an increasing emphasis is placed on the reporting ability of financial statements and, in particular, their true and fair value. Financial statements are often the basis for making economic decisions by external users of financial statements. Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize other possible methods leading to the detection of the misstatements in them. The diploma thesis is divided into literary and practical part. In the literary part the reader is acquainted with basic concepts, definition of creative accounting and accounting fraud. There is also a set of selected identification methods used both to prevent the creation and to detect accounting frauds. The practical part of the thesis applies four selected models to the financial statements of the selected entity. It is a small entity without an audit obligation where the main activity is the provision of IT services. Applied and further compared are the Beneish M-Score, Jones Nondiscretionary accruals, CFEBT and Piotroski F-Score models. An add-on is a bankrupt Altman model that evaluates the financial health of the entity, but it does not indicate anything about the possibility of disturbing the true and fair value. Risk periods are analyzed in detail using basic financial analysis techniques. The conclusion of the thesis provides an evaluation of the applicability and suitability of the used methods for the given type of business.

Pereira, Henrique Mioranza Koppe 16 January 2008 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2015-03-05T17:20:07Z (GMT). / The present dissertation has the main point the discussion the genetic modified and chemistry manipulated food supplier accountability by risks and damages to health and life of the consumer in development risk cases, because the Brazilian Consumers Law hasn’t clear provisions about these question. Using how theoretical reference, for this work, the risk society theory of Ulrich Beck, that shows the risk contest that finds the production in the food industry. Since this studies about Biolaw and Bioethic, will search argumentations that present possibilities so that juridical systems act to the protection of the human health and life. After these consideration, will realize that, beyond a fragility and the vulnerability of life, it’s not possible the civil accountability exclusion to the food suppliers, based in the development risk

EFFEKTEN AV VIKTMANIPULERAD UTRUSTNING PÅ DRAGSKOTTSHASTIGHET OCH GREPPSTYRKA I INNEBANDY : EN SEX VECKORS STUDIE PÅ MANLIGA 17-ÅRIGA INNEBANDYSPELARE / The effect on drag shot velocity and grip strength with weight manipulated equipment : A six week study on male 17-year old floorball players

Linke, Mats, Saarela, Tobias January 2011 (has links)
Floorball is a sport with increasing number of participants, which has not been studied extensively according to the literature. Previous studies on ice hockey and baseball have shown that training with weight manipulated equipment improved grip strength and swing speed. Other research has shown that the increased performance with dynamic resistance training rather occurs from the improvements in the neuromuscular facilitation than an increase in muscle mass. In floorball shooting velocity is considered to be an important factor of the performance. Since it has been shown in baseball that training with weight manipulated equipment can improve the bat velocity, it would be interesting to see if the same results can be found in floorball. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of grip strength and drag shot velocity in floorball training with a weight manipulated floorball stick. The study also investigated the relationship between grip strength and drag shot velocity. The test subjects’ subjective perception about the training method was also investigated. Thirteen 17-year-old male floorball players participated in the study. During a six weeks period the subjects used the weight manipulated equipment during 30 minutes, three times per week during their regular team practice. 40 grams lead tape was attached to the player's equipment to increase the resistance. The drag shots were filmed with a high speed camera (Casio Exilim EX-FH25) at 250 fps. The drag shot velocity was analyzed in Dartfish. To assess grip strength a hand dynamometer (Jamar - Baseline Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer)was used. The training resulted in a significant increase for the subjects’ grip strength in the lower hand on the stick (p <0,05). The study found no significant difference for the upper hand grip strength or drag shot velocity. No correlation between drag shot velocity and handgripstrength among the subjects were found. Conclusion: The results found in this study indicate that training with weight manipulated equipment can significantly improve the player’s lower hand grip strength. The results can eventually be explained by more effective fiber recruitment in the muscles. Studying floorball can contribute to increase the interest in research on floorball and increase the understanding for how dynamic resistance training can be incorporated in daily floorball practice.
