Méditation et médiation thérapeutique : Aspects théoriques et cliniques / Meditation and therapeutic mediation : Theoritical and clinical aspects

Hyon, Jungsin 24 November 2017 (has links)
Given the widespread and widespread misunderstandings about this practice and given that the spiritual tradition is seen as elusive, it is important to discern the boundary between the beneficent and the harmful uses in meditation. In order to do this, by combining psychometric tools with clinical experimentation, this research has studied the effectiveness of meditative practice from the therapeutic point of view, in order to reveal the probability to find a link and to understand and the correlation between the psychotherapeutic effect of meditation and psychosomatic conversion - being at the frontier of empiricism and spiritualism. So, the present thesis is divided into two parts: the first part deals with the theory of meditative practice based on theoretical data, while the second part deals with the modeling of this practice, based on empirical data. On the theoretical level, this research begins with the idea that what is called “Jouissance mystique (mystical enjoyment)” can lead to a psychopathological structure, when the subject is placed in the feminine position as an agalmatic object.Based on these theoretical data, a study has been carried out, with the aim of achieving a scientific validity, a practical modeling of these ideas, based on empirical data. This part of the studywas necessary to verify the efficiency of the interventions and the improvement of the symptoms experienced by the patients, from a clinical point of view.In this perspective, the clinical investigation of this research is based on the application of clinico-psychological methods, derived from the integration of complementary and alternative treatments to psychosomatic intervention. By specifying that the collection of empirical data is based on the application of five rating scales, namely: Rome III Diagnostic Criteria; Quality of Life SF-36; Fatigue Impact Scale; Symptom Checklist-90-R; And Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory- 2.

Edström, David January 2022 (has links)
Repertoar: Fear No More the Heat o' the Sun - Gerald Finzi Songs of Travel - Ralph Vaughan Williams Du bist wie eine Blume - Robert Schumann Medverkande:David Edström, sångJohannes Bolmvall, piano

Surgeons as Sages: Daoist Sagely Model as a Resolution to Surgeon Burnout

Taylor, Christian C. January 2022 (has links)
Thesis advisor: David E. Storey / Thesis advisor: Ron Tacelli / One of the most critical issues facing contemporary healthcare is that which is called “doctor burnout,” a term that is used within the medical field to describe the range of energetic collapses that doctors experience due ultimately to the demanding nature of their work. This thesis seeks to address burnout specifically in the field of surgery on account of this field’s proximity to patient death. Hallmark texts from the Daoist tradition, the Daodejing and Zhuangzi, refer to sages who possess a transcendent, far-reaching wisdom that allow them to emotionally supersede the quarrels and tribulations of life. This is precisely the ethos that this thesis seeks to investigate in order to determine the ways in which this sage wisdom can be utilized to prevent surgeon burnout. As such, the Daoist model as presented in the Zhuangzian tradition offers an effective resolution to the burnout that many surgeons face. Sages from this tradition have a highly cultivated sense of self, heightened perspective on death and meditative lifestyle that allows them to maintain their equanimity and longevity even in the face of life’s greatest antagonist, death, a model which can be utilized by surgeons for the same purpose. / Thesis (BA) — Boston College, 2022. / Submitted to: Boston College. A comparison of the effects of biofeedback and meditation treatment on essential hypertension

Molatore, Thomas Lee 01 January 1979 (has links)
The repeated-measures experimental design utilized in the present study permitted a controlled comparison of the clinical efficacy of meditation treatment (MT), biofeedback treatment (BT), and pharmacological control (PC) conditions in the reduction of seven dependent variables: (1) within clinic (W-C) systolic blood pressure (SBP), (2) W-C diastolic blood pressure (DBP), (3) outside-clinic (0-C) SEP, (4) 0-C DBP, (5) within-session (W-S) SEP, (6) W-S DBP, and (7) antihypertensive medication requirements. Twenty-four medicated subjects with medically .verified essential hypertension were matched by rank-order on sex, age, and mean baseline levels of SBP and DBP, and randomly assigned to MT, BT, or PC conditions, each composed of five females and three males.

Neural and Psychological Effects of Compassion Training: A Systematic Review

Chrystowska, Agnieszka January 2022 (has links)
Compassion is an affective state and comprises recognition of the suffering of others and a motivation to help them. Studies have indicated that compassion is trainable and compassion training based on contemplative practice has beneficial effects on well-being. The primary aim of this thesis was to conduct a systematic review on the functional and structural neural effects of compassion training in healthy adults. The secondary aim was to review the psychological or behavioral changes after compassion training in the reviewed articles. Eight articles employing compassion meditation or loving-kindness meditation, and applying the same definition of compassion, were reviewed. The neural effects of compassion training were diverse, but changes in the activity of the medial orbitofrontal cortex (mOFC), the amygdala, and reward-related areas were the most consistent outcomes. Also, compassion training resulted in increased positive affect and feelings of compassion, decreased depression scores, and more charitable donations (i.e., prosociality). The findings of this systematic review suggest that compassion training engages a broader neural network than previous studies have indicated and is a strategy that may lead to improved well-being andprosocial behavior.

Winberg, Annika January 2023 (has links)
Verk:

Ny i världen

Komposition och arrangemang: Annika Winberg

Hope

Komposition och orkestrering: Annika Winberg

A Dream

Komposition och orkestrering: Annika Winberg

Drops

Komposition och orkestrering: Annika Winberg

Vårfnatt

Komposition och orkestrering: Annika Winberg

Your Breathing Gives Meaning to Mine

Komposition: Annika Winberg

Arrangemang: Elias Elffors Elfström och Annika Winberg

Orkestering: Annika Winberg

Queen of Autonomy

Komposition och orkestrering: Annika Winberg

All I Am

Komposition och orkestrering: Annika Winberg

Dirigent: Afshin Khaef

Konsertmästare: Toke Hansenius

Solosång: Annika Winberg

I orkestern

Flöjt: Dante Fritzell

Oboe: Sara Zuchelli

Klarinett: Markus Cederholm

Fagott: Fritz Fembro

Horn: Jenni Lamminen & Zacharias Frato

Trumpet: Kevin Admantius & Kalle Nordström

Tenortrombon: Lina Nyström & Espen Hesthammer

Bastrombon: Elias Ukkonen Widding

Slagverk: Johannes Carlsson, Eskil Hamrin, Pablo Molina Lozano, Reno Kokmann & Alexandru Munteanu

Harpa: Pauline Burke-Clason

Violin: Toke Hasenius, Anne-Sophie Bruchmuller, Hilde Aronsson, Storm Dunder, Lisa Marie Lillie, Janine Monserat Jop-Quintero & Alexandra Baiku

Viola: Ludvig Dahlström

Cello: Ebba Högberg, Linnea Hildén, Johannes Karlsson

Kontrabas: Joel Hedtjärn

Kompgrupp

Elbas: Elias LangGitarr: Olov Nilsson

Trumset: Edvin Grahn

Piano: Filip Ahlberg

Körsång: Isabel Berglund, Maja Gardemark & Ellen Mansten Bruchfeld

Produktion

Ljud: Erik Metall, Vilmar Jansson & Edvin Johansson

Foto: Iman Khayyatana

Liberation Behind Bars - Meditation Interventions in Prison Populations

Metzner, Carsten January 2015 (has links)
This paper draws on a literature review which questioned whether meditationinterventions in prison populations encourage desistance from crime. The purposeof this paper was to discover possible connections between criminologicaltheories of desistance and the research findings of meditation courses in prison. Abrief analysis of the evaluation findings on the presented meditation courses isimplemented. This paper concludes that meditation projects in prison populationsmay not reasonably address desistance; however, there is evidence that the effectsof such adjunct interventions can encourage prisoners to progress on the pathtoward desistance through mindfulness and other pro-social orientation.
