The multidimensional relations between the Wari and the Moche states of Northern Peru / Relaciones multidimensionales entre los estados Wari y Moche del norte del PerúCastillo, Luis Jaime, Fernandini B., Francesca, Muro Y., Luis 10 April 2018 (has links) (PDF)
This paper explores how archaeology can study the relationships between complex multidimensional societies in critical periods of their development through an analysis of the multiple variables, circumstances and contingencies that define social interactions. By focusing on the archaeological record of San José de Moro, an important funerary and ceremonial center in the Jequetepeque valley, the authors approach the multifaceted natures and purposes behind the relationships between the Moche States of northern coastal Peru and the southern Andean Wari during the end of the Early Intermediate Period and the Middle Horizon.

Modeling of census data in a multidimensional environmentGünzel, Holger, Lehner, Wolfgang, Eriksen, Stein, Folkedal, Jon 13 June 2023 (has links)
The general aim of the KOSTRA project, initiated by Statistics Norway, is to set up a data reporting chain from the norwegian municipalities to a central database at Statistics Norway. In this paper, we present an innovative data model for supporting a data analysis process consisting of two sequential data production phases using two conceptional database schemes. A first data schema must provide a sound basis for an efficient analysis reflecting a multidimensional view on data. Another schema must cover all structural information, which is essential for supporting the generation of electronic forms as well as for performing consistency checks of the gathered in-formation. The resulting modeling approach provides a seamless solution for both proposed challenges. Based on the relational model, both schemes are powerful to cover the heterogeneity of the data source, handle complex structural information, and to provide a versioning mechanism for long term analysis.

The aim of this work is to define perfect codes for different multidimensional signal spaces. To solve this problem, this thesis presents an original relationship among the fields of Graph Theory, Number Theory and Coding Theory. One of our main findings is the proposal of a suitable metric over quadratic, hexagonal and four-dimensional constellations of signal points. This metric is the distance among vertices of a new class of Cayley graphs defined over integer rings, namely Gaussian integers, the Eisenstein-Jacobi integers and the Lipschitz integers.A problem in Graph Theory known as the perfect dominating set calculation is solved over the families of graphs defined in this memory. A sufficient condition for obtaining such a set is given for each case. The obtention of these sets of domination directly yields to the construction of perfect codes for the alphabets under consideration. In addition, some isomorphism and graph embedding results are going to be obtained. Specially, the relations between circulant, toroidal and the graphs presented in this work are stated. In particular, there always exist orders for which a Torus graph can be embedded in Gaussian, Eisenstein-Jacobi and Lipschitz graphs. This implies that the well-known Lee distance is a subcase of the metrics presented in this research.

Estudio comparativo de métodos multidimensionales para medir la calidad de servicio según tipo de restaurante / Comparative study of multidimensional methods to measure the quality of service according type of restaurantDiaz Calizaya, Claudia Sofia, Navea Portugal, María José 02 December 2020 (has links)
Currently, it is known that there are a variety of multidimensional methods that allow us to measure the quality of customer service that is being offered in restaurants. Therefore, it is of huge importance to count with a study that allows knowing the benefits and limitations of each of these in order to apply the most appropriate. Due to these, the purpose of the present investigation is to make a comparative analysis of the use of the different methods and tools that currently exist to measure the quality of service depending on the restaurant type.
To carry out this study, there has been an exhaustive investigation of bibliographic sources from different authors both in spanish and in english. In this way it will allow us to obtain different perspectives around the world about the perception of the quality of service and the consumer’s expectative. It is worth mentioning that the totality of the sources are current, since they are between the years of 2015 at most to 2020.
The sources found mention that the quality of service is a term that varies depending on the context in which it is evaluated and to be more specific it depends on the type of establishment. Due to this, it is said that there are a variety of methods that are used to measure the quality of service in restaurants: Kano Model, Servperf and Dineserv. Because of that we can conclude that these tools and methods have been compared in terms of limitations and benefits in order to determine which of these adapts better according to the type of restaurant that is being analyzed. / Trabajo de investigación

Fatigue in chronically critically ill patients following intensive care - reliability and validity of the multidimensional fatigue inventory (MFI-20)Wintermann, Gloria-Beatrice, Rosendahl, Jenny, Weidner, Kerstin, Strauß, Bernhard, Hinz, Andreas, Petrowski, Katja 12 June 2018 (has links) (PDF)
Background
Fatigue often occurs as long-term complication in chronically critically ill (CCI) patients after prolonged intensive care treatment. The Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory (MFI-20) has been established as valid instrument to measure fatigue in a wide range of medical illnesses. Regarding the measurement of fatigue in CCI patients, the psychometric properties of the MFI-20 have not been investigated so far. Thus, the present study examines reliability and validity of the MFI-20 in CCI patients.
Methods
A convenience sample of n = 195 patients with Critical Illness Polyneuropathy (CIP) or Myopathy (CIM) were recruited via personal contact within four weeks (t1) following the transfer from acute care ICU to post-acute ICU at a large rehabilitation hospital. N = 113 (median age 61.1 yrs., 72.6% men) patients were again contacted via telephone three (t2) and six (t3) months following the transfer to post-acute ICU. The MFI-20, the Euro-Quality of Life (EQ-5D-3 L) and the Structured Clinical Interview for the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of mental disorders DSM-IV (SCID-I) were applied within this prospective cohort study.
Results
The internal consistency Cronbach’s α was adequate for the MFI-total and all but the subscale Reduced Motivation (RM) (range: .50–.91). Item-to-total correlations (range: .22–.80) indicated item redundancy for the subscale RM. Confirmatory Factor analyses (CFAs) revealed poor model fit for the original 5-factor model of the MFI-20 (t2/t3, Confirmatory Fit Index, CFI = .783/ .834; Tucker-Lewis Index, TLI = .751/ .809; Root Mean Square Error of Approximation, RMSEA = .112/ .103). Among the alternative models (1-, 2-, 3-factor models), the data best fit to a 3-factor solution summarizing the highly correlated factors General −/ Physical Fatigue/ Reduced Activity (GF/ PF/ RA) (t2/ t3, CFI = .878/ .896, TLI = .846/ .869, RMSEA = .089/ .085, 90% Confidence Interval .073–.104/ .066–.104). The MFI-total score significantly correlated with the health-related quality of life (range: −.65-(−).66) and the diagnosis of major depression (range: .27–.37).
Conclusions
In the present sample of CCI patients, a reliable and valid factor structure of the MFI-20 could not be ascertained. Especially the subscale RM should be revised. Since the factors GF, PF and RA cannot be separated from each other and the unclear factorial structure in the present sample of CCI patients, the MFI-20 is not recommended for use in this context.

Eine multidimensionale Methodik zur Analyse von Bekehrungsmotiven = A multi-dimensional methodology for the analysis of conversion motivesRink, Tobias 28 February 2006 (has links)
Summary
This dissertation examines conversion motives of Southern Sudanese migrants who live in an Islamic context. First of all a theological view of conversion in scripture and its development in the church history is presented. Since every conversion is a multi-dimensional process containing not only theological problems but also sociological, anthropological and religio¬psychlogical aspects, a multi-dimensional approach and a reseach methodology are designed for above context. This methodology is used for a pilot study of five interviews with converts. Each interview is examined separately from a theological, sociological, religio-psychological and anthropological analysis. After this the different views are brought into a critical dialog in order to identify the motives of conversion which are related to cognitive-religious, mystical¬religious, affective, experimental or social-political categories. The results of all individual interviews are merged in a final analysis and reflected in a self-critical evaluation. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / M. Th. (Missiology)
