Orientador: José Geraldo Alberto Bertoncini Poker / Resumo: Tivemos por objetivo analisar a religiosidade evangélica brasileira e revisitar as tipologias clássicas que sedimentam a maioria das pesquisas, senão todas, sobre o campo evangélico. Foi na década de 1990 que se produziram inéditas pesquisas sobre a diversidade religiosa do mundo evangélico, principalmente a partir da consolidação das igrejas que ficaram conhecidas como neopentecostais. A tese de Doutorado de Paul Freston e a Dissertação de Mestrado de Ricardo Mariano se tornaram referências obrigatórias para se compreender a evolução, os desdobramentos e a diversidade do mundo evangélico. As tipologias criadas para ordenar e classificar os vários grupos evangélicos naquele momento, estavam fundamentadas na Sociologia Compreensiva de Max Weber e, como se sabe, elas não podem ser entendidas como categorias ontológicas, mas como instrumentos analíticos da realidade, portanto não podem se cristalizar e se desistoricizar. A problemática parte desta questão, visto que inúmeras pesquisas, desde então, utilizam as mesmas tipologias sem fazer as devidas ressalvas, não esclarecendo as modificações na prática religiosa dos fieis em muitas igrejas locais que, em não poucos casos, as colocam em xeque. Não tivemos por objetivo reconstruir tais tipologias, mas questionamos sua capacidade heurística para explicar as atuais manifestações religiosas no campo evangélico, posto que as transformações culturais tem conseguido borrar cada vez mais as fronteiras identitárias e denominacionais desta... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: We aimed to analyze the Brazilian evangelical religiosity and revisit the classic typologies that sediment most, if not all of them, researched on the evangelical field. It was in the 90’s that unprecedented research on the religious diversity of the evangelical world took place, mainly from the consolidation of the churches that became known as neopentecostals. Paul Freston's Doctoral Thesis and Ricardo Mariano's Master's Thesis have become mandatory references to understand the evolution, developments and diversity of the evangelical world. The typologies created to order and classify the various evangelical groups at that time were based on Max Weber's Comprehensive Sociology and, as we know, they cannot be understood as ontological categories, but as analytical instruments of reality, so they cannot crystallize and to dehistoricize. The problematic part of this question, since countless researches since then use the same typologies without making the proper reservations, not clarifying the changes in the religious practice of the faithful in many local churches that, in a few cases, put them in check. We did not aim to reconstruct such typologies, but we question their heuristic capacity to explain current religious manifestations in the evangelical field, as cultural transformations have increasingly blurred the denominational boundaries of these churches. It was aimed at the verification of a religious process, which approximates in a similar way a therapeutic process, and which reinforces and demonstrates aspects already proposed by religion, which can make sense of life, nomia, resignification, salvation and healing in people who are They find themselves in a situation of vulnerability and emotional, spiritual and even physical fragility, thus covering the eschatological and anthropological dimensions. In another sphere, we observed and evidenced some techniques and methods of music therapy, used in the cults, that potentiate the dynamics that religion offers. In our methodology, in addition to the observations of various meetings and gatherings of Neo-Pentecostal communities, both in person and in social media, we also participate in specific events with an emphasis on healing and liberation, called 'Encounter with God' or 'Tremendous Encounter' . From an informal perspective, it was possible to hear testimonies from believers and religious leaders participating in these events in order to discuss the existence or not of music therapy resources in the liturgies of such meetings, but with the aim of collecting data to tabulate and analyze Comparatively the same. Considering that our object is the observation of music therapy resources and their use in the liturgy of these communities, a vast amount of material was also read on social media, blogs, TV and the internet. In addition, we use part of neopentecostal confessional literature and the science of religion, psychology, music therapy, music and anthropology. These contents were configured as sources for understanding how the technical elements of music and music therapy can enhance the dynamics already offered by religion. / Este trabalho foi realizado no intuito de compreender a utilização da música e seus elementos terapêuticos; as técnicas e os procedimentos musicoterapêuticos utilizados, dentro do processo litúrgico Neopentecostal. Visou-se à verificação de um processo religioso, que se aproxima de forma análoga de um processo terapêutico, e que reforça e evidencia aspectos já propostos pela religião, que podem possibilitar sentido de vida, nomia, ressignificação, salvação e cura em pessoas que se encontram em situação de vulnerabilidade e fragilidade emocional, espiritual e até física, abrangendo assim as dimensões escatológicas e antropológicas. Em outra esfera, observamos e evidenciamos algumas técnicas e métodos musicoterapêuticos, utilizados nos cultos, que potencializam as dinâmicas que a religião oferece. Em nossa metodologia, além das observações de diversas reuniões e ajuntamentos das comunidades neopentecostais, tanto de forma presencial, quanto pelas mídias sociais, também participamos de eventos específicos com ênfase na cura e libertação, chamados de ‘Encontro com Deus’ ou ‘Encontro Tremendo’. Em uma perspectiva informal, foi possível ouvir depoimentos de fiéis e dos líderes religiosos participantes desses eventos com o fim de que eles discorressem sobre a existência ou não de recursos musicoterapêuticos nas liturgias de tais encontros, porém com o objetivo de recolher dados para tabular e analisar comparativamente os mesmos. Tendo em vista que nosso objeto se constitui na observação dos recursos musicoterapêuticos e sua utilização dos mesmos na liturgia dessas comunidades, foi também realizada uma leitura de vasto material, divulgado em mídias sociais, blogs, TV e internet. Ademais, utilizamos parte da literatura confessional neopentecostal e da ciência da religião, psicologia, musicoterapia, música e antropologia. Esses conteúdos configuraram-se como fontes para compreensão de como os elementos técnicos da música e musicoterapia podem potencializar as dinâmicas, já oferecidas pela religião.

Study the topic mentioned in the problem justifies itself as points to its relevance and contributions in the development of adjacent studies about Brazilian religious phenomena, power and gender relations that are part of the everyday life of society, and the characteristics of social interaction in the religious field. In the face of numerous possibilities for conceptual and theoretical fundaments and the necessary synthesis that this document chose to address, albeit in an incipient way the following themes: a conceptual and historical glimpse about the neopentecostal churches, gender issues, and the patterns of women participation in the neopentecostal movement, which are expressions that arranged this study. This division guides the research on the investigation around the imaginary about the place of women in the neopentecostal church, the struggles, resistances, internal conflicts linked to the construction of gender, as well as the understanding of power and ways to structure it and exercise it within the neopentecostal churches. The neopentecostal movement, which has expanded, improved, adapted to social contexts, and established itself as a social phenomenon involving a large number of individuals with their modern theological discourses. This religious consolidation has been effected on a period of paradigmatic changes of social relations, which enables researchers to a field of sociological study for investigation of the phenomena arising from the expansion of neopentecostal churches in the Brazilian scenario. The data collected in field research are interpreted, analyzed and discussed in the light of the theoretical framework to understand how this process of legitimation of female leadership positions in neopentecostal churches took place and the background of this new space granted to women. / A Dissertação em questão objetiva analisar a configuração atual do processo de legitimação das funções de liderança feminina, bem como os impactos deste fenômeno no interior das igrejas neopentecostais em Manaus. Estudar o tema mencionado na problemática se justifica à medida que aponta para sua relevância e contribuições no desenvolvimento de estudos adjacentes sobre os fenômenos religiosos brasileiros, as relações de poder e gênero que fazem parte da vida cotidiana da sociedade, e as características da interação social no campo religioso. Diante das numerosas possibilidades para fundamentação teórico-conceitual e da necessária síntese deste documento optou-se por abordar, ainda que de forma incipiente os seguintes temas: um vislumbre histórico e conceitual acerca das igrejas neopentecostais, as questões de gênero, e os moldes de participação das mulheres no movimento neopentecostal, que são expressões que ordenam este estudo. Essa divisão norteia a investigação acerca do imaginário sobre o lugar da mulher na igreja neopentecostal, as lutas, resistências, conflitos internos vinculados à construção de gênero, bem como a compreensão de poder e as formas de estruturá-lo e exercê-lo no interior das igrejas neopentecostais. O movimento neopentecostal tem se expandido, aprimorado, adaptado aos contextos sociais, e se efetivado como um fenômeno social que envolve grande número de indivíduos com seus discursos teológicos modernos. Esta consolidação religiosa tem se efetivado em um período de mudanças paradigmáticas das relações sociais, o que possibilita aos pesquisadores um campo de estudo sociológico para investigação dos fenômenos decorrentes da expansão das igrejas neopentecostais no cenário brasileiro. Finally, analyzed the manifestation of the Neopentecostal Cultural Industry in the religious space and time, thereby encouraging the supply and the demand for religious goods. / O presente trabalho analisa o neopentecostalismo a partir do pensamento dos frankfurtianos Theodor W. Adorno e Max Horkheimer. Após a exposição das definições de Razão Instrumental e de Indústria Cultural, procurou-se demonstrar a concepção de uma Indústria Cultural Neopentecostal no campo religioso brasileiro. Diante da liberdade e da concorrência religiosas, a Indústria Cultural Neopentecostal habilita-se como um instrumento destinado a despertar nas massas o desejo de aquisição de bens religiosos. Neste sentido, demonstrou-se que as pessoas, que previamente classificadas como público-alvo, são instigadas a viverem constantemente em função do consumo de bens religiosos oferecidos pela Indústria Cultural Neopentecostal. Por fim, analisou-se a manifestação da Indústria Cultural Neopentecostal no espaço e tempo religiosos, de modo a instigar a oferta e a procura de bens religiosos.

[pt] Desde a década de 1970, o Brasil testemunha o crescimento exponencial das igrejas denominadas neopentecostais, resultando em um consistente e acelerado aumento da sua população evangélica. Estima-se que em aproximadamente uma década os evangélicos serão o maior grupo religioso do país, desbancando a hegemonia católica que vinha sendo mantida por mais de cinco séculos. Esse fenômeno de transição religiosa no Brasil tem tido cada vez mais visibilidade na agenda pública nacional, influência na política e impacto em aspectos socioeconômicos e culturais do país. Contudo, mesmo com todo esse destaque, ainda são raras as elaborações sobre o crescimento pentecostal brasileiro que proponham leituras fora dos âmbitos da sociologia ou da antropologia. Esta pesquisa busca investigar como narrativas emergentes associadas aos códigos pentecostais aparecem em trabalhos de artistas contemporâneos brasileiros, abordando os diferentes contextos sócio-culturais em que são produzidas - e por onde circulam - as representações artísticas sobre o tema, traçando pontos de contato entre a história do evangelicalismo no Brasil e suas escassas (embora crescentes) inserções no contexto das artes visuais. Para isso, será destacadaa obra performática de Ventura Profana, em interlocução com outros artistas contemporâneos, como Bárbara Wagner, Benjamin de Burca, Coletivo A Noiva, Guerreiro do Divino Amor, Leandro Vieira, Maxwell Alexandre e Virgínia de Medeiros, se atentando especialmente para os contextos curatoriais e institucionais nos quais os trabalhos são apresentados. Ao abordar os contatos entre símbolos evangélicos e a arte contemporânea brasileira, elabora-se também possíveis relações - de aproximação ou contraste - entre a fé e os projetos de modernidade brasileira propostos por esses grupos e movimentos, abarcando discussões sobre o conceito moderno de secularização e o suposto reencantamento do mundo na pós-modernidade. Busco, assim, conduzir um pensamento crítico sobre os tópicos referentes a essa pesquisa que evite uma leitura reducionista do candente e complexo tema da presença evangélica no Brasil. / [en] Since the 1970s, Brazil has faced the exponential growth of churches called neo-Pentecostals, resulting in a consistent and accelerated increase in the brazilian evangelical population. It is estimated that in approximately a decade evangelicals will be the largest religious group in Brazil, overriding the Catholic hegemony that had been maintained for more than five centuries. This phenomenon of religious transition in Brazil has been increasingly visible in the public discussion, influence on politics and impact on socioeconomic and cultural aspects of the country. However, even with all this prominence, elaborations on Brazilian Pentecostal growth that propose readings outside the scope of sociology or anthropology are still rare. This research seeks to investigate how emergent narratives associated with Pentecostal codes appear in the works of contemporary Brazilian artists, addressing the different socio-cultural contexts in which artistic representations on the subject are produced - and where they circulate, tracing points of contact between history of evangelicalism in Brazil and its few (albeit increasing) insertions in the context of the visual arts. For this objective, the artistic work of Ventura Profanawill be highlighted, in dialogue with other contemporary artists, such as Bárbara Wagner and Benjamin de Burca, Coletivo A Noiva, Guerreiro do Divino Amor, Leandro Vieira, Maxwell Alexandre and Virgínia de Medeiros, paying particular attention to the curatorial and institutional contexts in which the works are presented. When addressing the contacts points between (neo)Pentecostal evangelicalism and contemporary art in Brazil, possible relations - of approximation or contrast - between the Brazilian modernity projects proposed by these groups and movements, encompassing discussions about the modern concept of secularization and the supposed re-enchantment of the world in postmodernity.Considering contemporary art as this unrestricted and permeable segment, the research proposes dialogues with artistic productions that go beyond the limits of visual arts, bringing to the discussion field references from different areas of knowledge. In this way, I seek to conduct a critical thought on the topics related to this research that avoids a reductionist reading of the burning and complex theme of the evangelical presence in Brazil.

The religion is not approached here as object of faith, but as producing of speech, that is constituted in the and for the language; being like this, it is done necessary to place the development historically of the Movement Pentecostal front to the new tendency that Neopentecostalism is implementing. It is verified that the churches neopentecostals are winning singular space in the national and international evangelical way, because they invest in the communication means, in seductive speeches and in a new form of seeing the Christian doctrines, coming off of the traditionalism implemented by the historical evangelical churches. To the we relate Linguistics and Religion, he/she becomes possible to analyze, starting from the selected samples, the argument mechanisms, of interpretation and of persuasion that you/they constitute the speech religious neopentecostal transmitted by the Evangelical Community Monte Sião. This way, back-up is looked for in the Analysis of the Speech, that it supplies base to analyze the ideological and discursive formations of the religious speech, tends him/it as own study object, discussing authorship problems and interpretation, production conditions, fundamental in this analysis. In the investigation of those concepts, argumentative structures are approached, intertextuality, interdiscursivity, formation of the ethos and of the pathos, that constitute important characteristics for the construction process and of organization of the speech. They are observed, also, the verbal times, by virtue of the religious speech to be narrated in the time of the commented world. Anchored by linguistic studies, it intends to elucidate the importance of the Linguistics in the understanding of the Religion, while production of senses inside the speech, proposing an innovative approach that can favor comparative studies of other species of speeches, seeking a significant contribution for this area of the knowledge / Este trabalho tem como objetivo examinar o discurso religioso neopentecostal da Comunidade Evangélica Monte Sião, instituição recente no cenário evangélico. Nossas análises estão respaldadas em teorias como Análise do Discurso e Retórica. A religião não é aqui abordada como objeto de fé, mas sim como produtora de discurso, que se constitui na e pela linguagem; sendo assim, faz-se necessário situar historicamente o desenvolvimento do Movimento Pentecostal frente à nova tendência que o Neopentecostalismo vêm implementando. Constata-se que as igrejas neopentecostais vêm ganhando singular espaço no meio evangélico nacional e internacional, pois investem nos me ios de comunicação, em discursos sedutores e em uma nova forma de ver as doutrinas cristãs, desprendendo-se do tradicionalismo implementado pelas igrejas evangélicas históricas. It is described how the church stands out through the merchandising strategies contained in their theologic speech, having this as the main element of differentiation from the others religious groups. This work seeks to identify, through what was observed in the religious ceremonies and sermons preached by the ecclesiastic leadership, the main theological practices of how the religious speech relates, in this specific case, with the postmodernity, so much in the daily basis as well as in the marketing strategies used in the religious dispute. / Esta dissertação objetiva descrever a atuação em relação a Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus (IURD) no Recife como representante do neopentecostalismo brasileiro na sociedade dita pós-moderna. Descreve-se, para isso, como a igreja vem se destacando através das estratégias mercadológicas contidas no seu discurso teológico, tendo nisso seu principal elemento de diferenciação dos demais grupos religiosos. O trabalho procura identificar através do que foi observado nas cerimônias religiosas e nos sermões proferidos pela liderança eclesiástica, as principais práticas teológicas e a forma que o discurso religioso se relaciona, nesse caso específico, com a pós-modernidade, tanto no seu dia-a-dia, como também nas estratégias de mercado utilizadas na disputa religiosa.

Surgem, no contexto da sociedade brasileira atual, várias denominações religiosas que disputam a adesão do indivíduo, adequando sua mensagem aos diversos grupos sociais. Considera-se que o escopo da argumentação é reforçar crenças e valores presentes em um indivíduo ou em um grupo específico para agir sobre o outro, provocando uma mudança de atitude. Nesta pesquisa, o corpus de análise será composto por textos de vários gêneros extraídos de sites institucionais da Igreja Apostólica Renascer em Cristo, no período de 2011 a 2014, a fim de mostrar como, por meio da palavra profética, tanto o líder religioso quanto seus seguidores adquirem autoridade para plasmar realidades. Assim como esse discurso religioso adapta-se a diferentes gêneros, verifica-se que o ethos institucional da Igreja adapta-se a diferentes contextos. Além desse corpus específico, serão selecionados alguns textos relacionados a outras instituições religiosas neopentecostais, inserindo o estudo em um cenário mais amplo. Para tanto, a pesquisa será fundamentada nas teorias da Retórica e da Nova Retórica, com contribuições das teorias discursivas e pragmáticas. Com este trabalho, espera-se compreender melhor o processo argumentativo do discurso religioso neopentecostal e apontar caminhos para o avanço do caráter interdisciplinar dos estudos discursivos e retóricos. / In the context of the current Brazilian society, many religious denominations that compete for individuals\' adherence arise, adjusting their message to diverse social groups. It is considered that the scope of argumentation is to reinforce beliefs and values existing in an individual or in a specific group to act upon the other, causing a change in attitude. In this research, the corpus for analysis will be composed of texts from varied genres taken from institutional websites by \"Reborn in Christ\" Apostolic Church, from 2011 to 2014, in order to show how, through the Prophetic Word, the religious leader and his followers acquire authority to shape realities. As this religious discourse adjusts to different genres, it is verified that the institutional ethos of the Church adjusts to different contexts. Alongside this specific corpus, a few texts related to other Neo-Pentecostal religious institutions will be selected, inserting this study in a broader scenario. In order to do so, this research will be founded on Rhetoric and New Rhetoric theories, with contributions from discursive and pragmatic theories. With this work, a better understanding of the neo-Pentecostal religious discourse argumentative process and the possibility of suggesting ways for the advance of the interdisciplinary character of the discursive and rhetoric studies are expected.

Surgem, no contexto da sociedade brasileira atual, várias denominações religiosas que disputam a adesão do indivíduo, adequando sua mensagem aos diversos grupos sociais. Considera-se que o escopo da argumentação é reforçar crenças e valores presentes em um indivíduo ou em um grupo específico para agir sobre o outro, provocando uma mudança de atitude. Nesta pesquisa, o corpus de análise será composto por textos de vários gêneros extraídos de sites institucionais da Igreja Apostólica Renascer em Cristo, no período de 2011 a 2014, a fim de mostrar como, por meio da palavra profética, tanto o líder religioso quanto seus seguidores adquirem autoridade para plasmar realidades. Assim como esse discurso religioso adapta-se a diferentes gêneros, verifica-se que o ethos institucional da Igreja adapta-se a diferentes contextos. Além desse corpus específico, serão selecionados alguns textos relacionados a outras instituições religiosas neopentecostais, inserindo o estudo em um cenário mais amplo. Para tanto, a pesquisa será fundamentada nas teorias da Retórica e da Nova Retórica, com contribuições das teorias discursivas e pragmáticas. Com este trabalho, espera-se compreender melhor o processo argumentativo do discurso religioso neopentecostal e apontar caminhos para o avanço do caráter interdisciplinar dos estudos discursivos e retóricos. / In the context of the current Brazilian society, many religious denominations that compete for individuals\' adherence arise, adjusting their message to diverse social groups. It is considered that the scope of argumentation is to reinforce beliefs and values existing in an individual or in a specific group to act upon the other, causing a change in attitude. In this research, the corpus for analysis will be composed of texts from varied genres taken from institutional websites by \"Reborn in Christ\" Apostolic Church, from 2011 to 2014, in order to show how, through the Prophetic Word, the religious leader and his followers acquire authority to shape realities. As this religious discourse adjusts to different genres, it is verified that the institutional ethos of the Church adjusts to different contexts. Alongside this specific corpus, a few texts related to other Neo-Pentecostal religious institutions will be selected, inserting this study in a broader scenario. In order to do so, this research will be founded on Rhetoric and New Rhetoric theories, with contributions from discursive and pragmatic theories. With this work, a better understanding of the neo-Pentecostal religious discourse argumentative process and the possibility of suggesting ways for the advance of the interdisciplinary character of the discursive and rhetoric studies are expected.

Vivemos tempos de mudança na relação do homem com o Evangelho. Este estudo tem por objetivo mostrar algumas distorções que tem se proliferado nos meios chamados evangélicos, mostrado, para tanto, alguns dos elementos que vêm colaborando paulatinamente para o esvaziamento prédico e homilético dos púlpitos. Nesse sentido, o Movimento Neopentecostal é marcado pela ausência de características doutrinárias ou hermenêuticas, as quais são influenciadas por práticas estranhas à Palavra de Deus. Não se pode dizer que a culpa da falência homilética dos púlpitos seja apenas atribuída aos Neopentecostais, no entanto, estes, possuem uma visão reducionista de Deus, que o limitam a três aspectos: prosperidade financeira, saúde e realizações pessoais, de forma que se prioriza a busca pelo prazer humano, por uma horizontalização das conquistas terrenas. Nesse contexto, contudo, ainda há exemplos de indivíduos que continuam abrindo mão de tudo para dedicarem a vida ao Senhor e à causa do Evangelho, dos quais, grande parte, são anônimos. São estes que mantém a integridade e a lisura do Evangelho através dos tempos. Conclui-se, então, que o Evangelho não definhará enquanto pessoas imbuídas da verdadeira missão continuarem doando suas vidas em prol de almas que ainda não se curvaram ou sequer ouviram do verdadeiro Cristo. / We live in times of change in man's relationship with the Gospel. This study aims to show some distortions that have proliferated in the media called evangelicals, shown for both, some of the elements that have worked together to gradually emptying and homiletic preaching from the pulpits. In this sense, the Pentecostal Movement is marked by the absence of doctrinal or hermeneutical characteristics, which are influenced by unfair foreign to the Word of God. You cant say that the blame for the failure of homilies from the pulpit is only given to Neopentecostais, however, they possess a reductionist view of God, that limit to three areas: financial prosperity, health and personal achievements, so we prioritize the search for human pleasure, a flattening of earthly achievements. In this context, however, there are still examples of individuals who continue giving up everything to devote his life to the Lord and the Gospel, of which mostly are anonymous. These are maintaining the integrity and fairness of the Gospel through the ages. It follows, then, that the Gospel does not wither away as people imbued with the true mission to continue giving their lives for the sake of souls who have not bowed or even heard of the true Christ.
