Strategic Partnership in the Swedish Marine Industry : - A case study of Ryds

Hedlund, Helena, Blume, Anna January 2016 (has links)
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe the structure of a relationship between a dealer and its manufacturer in the Swedish marine industry from a strategic partnership perspective.   Design/methodology/approach: The research method is based on a deductive quantitative approach. A descripto-explanatory research design was applied and the research strategy was a combination of a case study and survey. A survey and three additional qualitative interviews have been conducted in order to gather the information.   Findings: The results of this research shows no outstanding factors influencing the strategic partnership between the manufacturer and its dealers in the marine industry. Limited managerial assumption were possible to be drawn for the case company Ryds.   Research Delimitations: The study was conducted in a three month period (March - June) in the spring semester 2016 therefore, the study was narrowed down to only one marine manufacture and its dealers in the Swedish market.   Future recommendations: For future researcher the presented study can be used as the foundation to further investigate the connection between applied theories of the Commitment- Trust Theory and Relational Marketing through the Key Mediating Variables. It will provide the researcher with insights about, which exact areas/items influence the relationship positively or negatively, resulting in the ability to generally state how strategic partnership is managed in the marine industry.

Osobní obchodní společnosti a jejich povaha / Personal Corporations and Their Character

Chvalovská, Eva January 2012 (has links)
Personal corporations and their character The purpose of this thesis is to examine Czech legal regulation of personal corporations, i. e. unlimited partnership and limited partnership, in force. The reason for the research is to focus on some crucial provisions concerning the above mentioned corporations which may seem ambiguous, permit various interpretations and therefore cause difficulties in legal practice, to explain different positions of Czech legal experts and judicial authorities concerning the interpretation and to support the interpretation which seems most likely to be intended by the legislator. Sometimes relevant legal regulation in some foreign countries is mentioned to be compared with the Czech legal system. The thesis is composed of four chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of Czech legal regulation of personal corporations in force. The Introduction briefly describes what the term personal corporations stands for and mentiones the bill on business corporations which is currently being discussed in the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament and which is being mentioned to enter in force on 1st January 2013. Chapter One shortly examines the history of personal corporations legal regulation on the territory of today's Czech Republic. It is subdivided into two parts,...

Vad är partneravtal? : En analys om termens definition och implikation / What is Partnership Agreement? : An analysis of the term´s definition and meaning

Magnusson, Rebecca January 2019 (has links)

EU och Ryssland : En fallstudie över hur The Eastern Partnership har påverkat relationen mellan de två parterna / EU and Russia : A case study on how The Eastern Partnership has affected the relationship between the two parties

Henningsson, Ida January 2019 (has links)
In recent decades, the EU has significantly expanded its presence and influence in many of the former Soviet states. This essay have examined how the relationship between the EU and Russia has change since The Eastern Partnership was introduced 2009 and the extent to which it can be seen as a contributing factor. The Eastern Partnership is a joint initiative involving the EU, its Member States and six Eastern European Partners. Among this six this essay has focued on Ukraine and its part in the relationship between EU and Russia. This essay have been a theory-consuming case study that analyzes and explains the EU and Russia`s actions concerning the EaP, with the help of Mearsheimer`s theory of offensive realism. The analysis showed that the relations between EU and Russia had changed and deteriorated. The Eastern Partnership has provoked Russia and has made them feel restricted in their sphere of power. There has been a conflict over the six countries, including Ukraine, between the EU and Russia.

Interorganizational Dynamics and the Development and Implementation of an Innovative, STEM High School Program

Campbell, John Wilson, Jr. 01 December 2010 (has links)
Improving systems of public education through the development and implementation of innovative reforms is a socially and politically complex process, particularly when systems of public education merge with external agencies that enter the process with unique resources and with perspectives and intents derived from experiences unlike those found in traditional public school cultures. Pursuing a better understanding of this process, this qualitative case study examines the interorganizational partnership that developed Metro High School, an innovative, STEM high school program in Columbus, Ohio. With this single, public/private partnership as a case, this study examined the school reform context within which the partners worked and from which they derived influential perspectives and resources. The objective was to better understand the interaction and manifestation of perspectives, resources, and intentions, as the now influential school was being developed and implemented. Data gathered through interviews, documents, and observations have been analyzed and synthesized into conclusions about the interactive effects of the partners on the development of the school and its subsequent policy influence. Factors found to have affected the effort include favorable reform policy conditions and experienced school designers, commitment to well-defined STEM and Coalition of Essential Schools principles, ample resources from skilled, high capacity partners with political and intellectual influence, conceptual alignment across the partnership, a commitment to equity, and effective community-based negotiations. Negotiations were facilitated by strong leadership working from the base of a multi-district foundation that provided the administrative space for the school’s largely autonomous development. This study, utilizing sociopolitical theories of educational change and implementation that recognize the influence and value of multiple perspectives and constructive variability, suggests implications for interorganizational partnership work that is undertaken for developing and negotiating the terms of new systems of public school organization and new learning environment designs. In regard to the research literature on implementation, school change, and reform, this study—though not generalizable and limited in scope to a single site—sheds light on the complexity of implementing collaborative educational change in urban environments.

Stakeholder Views on Project Success : Cross Sector Social Partnerships

Pardede, Nova, Salinas, Patricia January 2013 (has links)
Cross sector social partnerships have been increasingly used as vehicles to address societal issues. However the practices are poorly understood and lacking transferability. One of the challenges relates to evaluating the success of cross sector social partnership projects through a stakeholder perspective. This thesis aims to examine how the different stakeholders perceive and assess project success by examining a case in a tripartite cross sector social partnership project named Umeå Interactive Recycling Room. Seven interviews with representatives from five participating organisations and project archival documents were analysed for the purpose of this thesis. The study reveals that stakeholders assessed success in multiple dimensions using short and long-term perspectives. The success criteria tend to be related to the value creation concept of the project which can be categorised into outcome, organisational benefits, product, and learning perspectives. The study also reveals that the stakeholders did not assess success using the traditional project management measures of time, cost, and scope. Furthermore, project success was assessed multiple times, both during the project life and post the project life with the evaluation means that can differ from informal ways to more formal ways. Overall, the findings suggest that connections exist between the success criteria, the timing of the project being assessed, and the role of the stakeholders in the partnership.
