Poietic hermeneutics : making local paths

Watson, Derrick L. January 2017 (has links)
This thesis argues for poietic hermeneutics as a work of gathering and re-siting which intervenes in the local material-discursive site. This is an interruptive tactic of the local church, seeking the flourishing of here through transitory, non-hegemonic acts of re-making. In developing this tactic I draw a critique of a practical theology discourse which, I argue, masks acts of making, with a consequent loss of attentiveness to materiality and a normative commitment to the development of practices internal to the church and the practitioner.

Couleur et conception lumière dans l'architecture hospitalière en Tunisie : approche esthétique et poïétique / Color and lighting in hospital architecture in Tunisia : aesthetic and poietic approaches

Marrakchi, Mohamed 26 September 2013 (has links)
Innovation hospital design interested field and creation in reading and aesthetic and poietic approach. This research aims to contribute to reflections on aesthetics and poietics, through questions about color and light. The conceptual approach ends with a back and forth between theory and practice, between sensitivity and nervous system, between complexity and simplicity. I'm looking through this research, to find another identity sanitary spaces Tunisia, respecting both the technical requirements and medical heritage identity. I put the problems of the approach and methodology, reflection and reading, the theoretical and empirical. The different parts of this doctoral research focuses on the relationship between color and light designs and some questions for poietic and aesthetic.

Communiquer-consommer dans les cafés et les supermarchés : vers une approche miscrosic / Communicating-Consuming in cafes and supermarkets : towards a microCs approach

Zéhenne, Camille 08 December 2014 (has links)
This research questions the relationship between consumption and communication in cafes and supermarkets. We have termed these spaces interstitial because they correspond to a meaning of an in-Between found insocial life. It has been shown that space is built through the praxis and the imaginary, which position themselvesfacing the standards that govern the practices. To the visual structures of the spaces correspond negotiationsthat enable the building of social identities. Thus four dimensions coexist in the interstitial spaces : the in-Betweeninter dimension that links the individual to the community, the hyper dimension which is the one of the standardsthat structure exchanges, the infra dimension that enables negotiation and finally the micro dimension thatinvolves the making of social identities and the researcher posture adopted in this work. This research is also an opportunity to present a method, called microCs, that aims to be an approach with anethnographic basis enabling the deployment of the appropriate methodologies for capturing inherently unstablesocial situations. We emphasized the poietic dimension of any research in anthropology of communication, whose aim is to account for phenomena that constantly avoid attention and whose complexity we must bring out.

Gervais, Simon 08 1900 (has links)
This research-creation project finds its roots in two film sound designs to which I contributed as a sound editor or sound designer. These films – and their respective soundtracks –, by their form, their content, but also by the dynamics that pulsed their creation, have redefined certain aspects of my own sound work. In this study, by the means of an autopoietic analysis, I explore the creative conditions at play in the elaboration of my sound designs, as they answer to technical matters – the film Saint- Denys Garneau – or aesthetic matters – the film Ma famille en 17 bobines. In each case, I also seek to deepen poetic and practical problems. From deep in the combination of these conditions emerge mediation tools, human relations, aesthetic movements and modes of listening that shed new light on my sound practice.

Artification de l’archive : une dialectique entre figures et absences / Artifying the archive : a dialectic between figures and absences

Lévêque, Cyrielle 07 December 2018 (has links)
The development of this thesis work falls within an academic approach, andis also simultaneously thought in connection with the artistic creation. It deals with personal and private questioning, but is also « hunted » in a different way regarding yet genealogy, family and documentary pictures and the shadow zones that are part of all personal history. Mechanisms of resistance to arti- fication are deployed as an attempt at an artistic and theoretical response, facing a mute story, a lack of words. The family history is the origin of plural filiations, transmissions–with or without words–but also secrets. Sometimes some empty spaces appear on portraits. The missing element, thus, becomes an obsession due to its lack in the logic of the story. The artists working on those corpuses specifically aim to collect, reclaim and exhibit those blurred pictures in order to re-use them into an artistic, voluble and efficient circuit. These new pictures–private stories and testimony art at once–turn into a collective memory : by a clever telescope of meaning, the work, born out of the vernacular image, breaks through thanks to its plasticity, and offers a new meaning to the erased or absent figure. This theoretical and artistic reflection, based on the polysemous relations between documentary pictures and « erasing poietic », analyses the way that art acts into old archive pictures. How can art give the power to « read » a picture that is invisible ? Which ways, implemented devices, social and histo- ric beliefs allow it ? Conversely, what levers are developed by the artists, to update images that do not belong to them and that change our vision of the initial information ? Here is the challenge of this theoretical and plastic research that let us understand a mechanism of the artifying archival image, midway between private story and artistic mythology ; or how can images or vacilla- ting figures between presence and absence appear from invisible elements, as archives of a reformulated future.

Percursos urbanos : novos olhares na arte contemporânea

Angeli, Juliana Correa Hermes January 2007 (has links)
This dissertation presents the analysis of eight art works by different contemporary artists who utilize urban routes as a constitutive part of their poietics and poetics. By studying spatial and temporal changes since the industrial period, as well as how urban spatial displacements and their present acquired meanings are structured, we seek to comprehend for what motives a poietic of urban routes should persist today. We have noted how contemporary artists have re-signified urban spaces and the people who interact with them by means of their displacements or the appropriation of other people’s daily routes, and, by using routes, they have developed new gazes in relation to these questions of contemporary art.
