Distansarbete, en förmån eller en fälla för medarbetarnas hälsa : En kvalitativ studie om friskfaktorer vid distansarbete / Remote Work: A Benefit or a Trap for Employees' Health : A Qualitative Study on Health-Promoting Factors in Remote Work

Eriksson, Johanna, Pettersson, Ella January 2024 (has links)
Kandidatuppsats i Företagsekonomi III, Organisation 15 hp, 2FE78E, Ekonomihögskolan vid Linnéuniversitetet i Kalmar. VT 2024. / Bachelor thesis Business Administration III, Organization 15 credits, 2FE78E, School of Economics at Linnaeus University of Kalmar. Spring 2024. Titel: Remote work, a benefit or a trap for employees health. Authors: Johanna Eriksson and Ella Pettersson Institution: Linnaeus University Subject: Organization Advisior: Anna Larsson Examiner: Mikael Lundgren  Research questions: Which health-promoting factors do employees perceive as crucial for sustainable remote work? Purpuse: The purpose of this study is to increase understanding and contribute knowledge about which health-promoting factors employees consider most crucial for sustainable remote work. A sustainable working life is of great importance, as everyone should be able to work without becoming ill or injured, which reinforces the purpose of a study like this. Method: The study follows an abductive approach based on a qualitative research strategy. The empirical data was collected through eight semi-structured interviews, where the collected material was analyzed, categorized, and interpreted. The study also employed a cross-sectional design. Conclusion: The study shows that awareness of the concept of health-promoting factors is limited, especially at the individual level. The study has identified three central areas for sustainable remote work: ergonomics, communication, and autonomy, which have been constructed as health-promoting factors in remote work. Historically, the focus has been on identifying risk factors in the workplace, but there are signs of a shift where interest in health-promoting factors is increasing at both organizational and societal levels. Furthermore, the study shows that health-promoting factors should be understood in symbiosis with each other rather than as standalone factors. However, it appears that autonomy has greater significance than the other health-promoting factors in remote work.

Louhema, Aleksi, Sigrén, Mikael January 2024 (has links)
Being a young football player at a high-level means both exciting development opportunitiesand high demands, which can lead to significant stress if you as a player do not feel that youcan meet these expectations. The present study investigates the relationship between young elite football players’ experiences of stress and their coach’s perception of the degree of need promotion and need-inhibition. 112 boys and 7 girls aged 16-19 who play football in the two highest youth leagues in Sweden and Finland were recruited for the study. The study’s questions were answered using the self-report forms Interpersonal Behaviour Questioinnaire-Sport (IBQ-S) and Perceived Stress Reactivity Scale for Adolescent Athletes (PSRSS-A). Correlation analyzes show significant negative relationships between need-promoting leadership and stress, significant positive relationships between need-inhibiting leadership andstress, as well as significantly lower levels of perceived stress among players who feel that they have their basic psychological need for autonomy, competence and relatedness satisfied, incomparison with players who experience a low degree of need satisfaction.

An enquiry into the need for occupational health promotion programmes in selected occupational settings: a nursing perspective / Ondersoek na die behoefte aan beroepsgesondheidsbevorderende programme in geselekteerde beroepsituasies : 'n verpleegkundige benadering

Huiskamp, Agnes Alice 25 August 2009 (has links)
This research is aimed at furthering the health promotion and occupational health objectives of the government as is set out in the "The White Paper for the Transformation of the Health System in South Africa Notice 667 of 1997". The aim of this research was to determine the need for occupational health promotion programmes in selected occupational settings from a nursing perspective. The overall outcome of this research demonstrated that a need exists for occupational health promotion programmes in selected occupational settings. This was illustrated by the literature study and by the information collected through a survey. Three frameworks are proposed, namely a holistic approach to an occupational health promotion programme, an empowerment occupational health promotion approach, and a health promoting nursing framework. In addition, guidelines for the development and implementation of an occupational health promotion programme and a health promotion and health promoting nursing training programme are recommended. It is also recommended that health promoting nursing be included in all nursing practice and nursing training curricula. Recommendations for future research centred on the investigation of the present status of occupational health promotion, research regarding the health promoting workplace and campus that involves all stakeholders, the status of health promotion training, and research similar to this one in other regions of South Africa. The division of occupational health and primary health care in occupational health settings needs to be investigated as well. / Health Studies / M.A. (Advanced Nursing Sciences)
