När fotokatalysatorn bestrålas med synligt ljus möjliggörs elektronöverföring till eller från substratet som i sin tur medför alstring av reaktiva fria radikaler. Kolradikaler, genererade med fotoredox-katalys från alkyloxalataktiverade alkoholer, har framgångsrikt kopplats till sulfinyliminer och möjliggör därigenom syntes av onaturliga α-aminosyror. Reaktionen utförs vid rumstemperatur och kräver endast extern energi i form av synligt ljus för att aktivera den iridium-baserade fotokatalysatorn. Den höga tillgängligheten av alkoholer utgör ett rimligt skäl för att använda dem som startmaterial. I detta projekt har tertiära alkoholer resulterat i framgångsrika reaktioner. / Photoredox catalysis provides opportunities to develop new sustainable chemical reaction pathways through single-electron transfer events and generation of reactive free-radical species. In this thesis carbon radicals, generated with photoredox catalysis from alkyl oxalate-activated alcohols, have successfully been coupled to sulfinyl imines and thereby enabling synthesis of unnatural α-amino acids. The reaction is performed at room temperature and only requires external energy in the form of visible light to activate the iridium-based photocatalyst. The abundance and availability of alcohols presents good reasons to use them as radical precursors. 14	Stereoselective synthesis of unnatural α-amino acids through photoredox catalyzed C–H activation / Stereoselektiv syntes av icke-naturliga α-aminosyror genom fotoredoxkatalyserad C–H-aktivering Wåhlin, Ludwig January 2021 (has links) Fotoredoxkatalys har nyligen genomgått en renässans inom organisk kemi då metoden har möjliggjort framtagandet utav nya reaktionsvägar med milda reaktionsbetingelser genom att använda sig av synligt ljus. I det här arbetet undersöktes metodens bredd genom att kombinera metoden med väteatomöverföringskatalys för att funktionalisera C–H bindningar i α-position till heteroatomer och på så sätt skapa icke-naturliga α-aminosyror. Resultaten från detta arbete gav upp till 60% utbyte genom att kombinera dessa två katalysmetoder för substrat med Boc som skyddsgrupp, medan tertiära aminer inte krävde en väteatomöverföringskatalysator för kunna funktionaliseras. Den syntetiska metoden utan väteatomöverföringskatalys verkar dock inte vara applicerbara för sekundära aminer, men ser ut att fungera för C–H aktivering i α-position till svavelatomer vilket tyder på denna simplare metod utan väteatomsöverföring bör vara applicerbar för flera typer av substrat än för bara aminer / Photoredox catalysis has recently undergone a renaissance in the field of organic chemistry due the enabling of new reaction pathways under mild reaction conditions using visible light. In this work, the scope of this technology was explored by combining it with hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) to perform C–H functionalization in α-position to heteroatoms for synthesis of unnatural α-amino acids. The results showed that this is a viable method, gaining up to 60% yield using a dual catalytic system for Boc protected amines, while the functionalization of tertiary amines does not require HAT in order to work. Olika molekylära ytegenskaper tas med i beräkningen, elektrostatiska ytpotentialen, den genomsnittliga lokala joniseringsenergin, electron attachment energy och spinndensiteten (VS(r), IS(r), TS(r), ES(r) och S(r)). De erhållna resultaten gäller slutna och öppna skalsystem. Där system med slutna skal bildas från växelverkan mellan en guldklusterradikal och en fri radikal, och system med öppna skal bildas från växelverkan mellan ett jämnt antal guldatomer med en fri radikal. För system med slutna skal Aux-R (där x = 3, 5, 7, 9 eller 11 och R är en O-centrerad radikal) finns det en övergripande trend av bindningsenergin gentemot ES(r), vilket återspeglar elektrofilictiten hos guldnanopartiklar. Multivariata modeller visar vidare hur de olika parametrarna korrelerar gentemot varandra för system med slutna skal.För strukturerna Aux-R (där x=3-11) medl ägst bindningsenergi, dvs. inklusive både slutna och öppna skalsystem, är den tydligaste trenden bindningsenergi vs minimum i ES(r) och parametern TS(r). Vid jämförelse av resultaten av interaktionerna med de fria radikalerna med H2O är trenden alltid tydligast för H2O. I linje med tidigare studier finns det även en korrelation av bindningsenergierna med VS,max och ES,min för H2O. Slutligen sträcker sig trenden med bindningsenergi vs ES,min vidare till systemet som innehåller den icke-plana Au13-strukturen. Denna studie visar kopplingen mellan reaktiviteten hos guldnanopartiklar mot fria radikaler till den lokala ES(r), samtidigt som bidraget från andra ytegenskaper visas. Detta kan vara av betydelse för fortsatta studier kring naturen av interaktioner av guldnanopartiklar. / The nature of gold nanoparticle interactions towards molecular radicals are investigated. Quantum chemical studies of the reactivity of gold nanoparticles Au3-Au11 and Au13 towards O-centered molecular radicals OH , OOH , OCH3 and H2O are performed. Different molecular surface properties are taken into account; the surface electrostatic potential, average local ionization energy, electron attachment energy and spin density (VS(r), IS(r), TS(r), ES(r) and S(r)). The obtained results concern closed and open shell systems. Where closed shell systems are formed from the interaction of a radical gold cluster and a free radical, and open shell systems are formed from the interaction of an even number of gold atoms with a free radical. For closed shell systems Aux-R (where x = 3, 5, 7, 9 or 11 and R is an O-centered radical) there is an overall trend of the binding energy vs the local electron attachment energy, reflecting the electrophilicity of the gold nanoparticles. Multivariate plots further show how the different parameters correlate together for closed shell systems. Looking at the lowest energy structures Aux-R (where x = 3-11), i.e. including closed and open shell systems, the clearest trend is of binding energy vs minima in the local electron attachment energy ES,min and the TS(r) parameter. When comparing the results of the interactions with the free radicals with H2O, the trend is always clearest for H2O. Concurring with previous trends, there is a correlation of the binding energies with VS,max and ES,min for H2O. Lastly, the trend of Binding energy vs ES,min further extends to systems containing the non-planar Au13 structure. This study extends the reactivity of gold nanoparticles towards free radicals to the local electron attachment energy, while showing the contribution of other surface properties. It will be demonstrated that the evangelicals are enriched by radical evangelicalism - an evangelical basic concept with elements of anabaptism, the social gospel, liberation theology and the ecumencial theologies. Thus it will be demonstrated that radical theology is genuinely evangelical, yet is capable of overcoming the one sidedness of western evangelical theology. Special attention is given to the contributions of radicals from North America as well as from Latin America since they are of considerable importance to radical evangelicalism. The aim of the dissertation is to present radical evangelicalism, to critically evaluate it, and to make it profitable to the European evangelical scene. The first section names the sources from which radical theology flowed. The second section reviews the historical development of radical evangelicalism. It will be demonstrated that, in the thirty years of its existence, radical evangelicalism has become a significant factor within the worldwide evangelical movement. The third section presents the fundamental characteristics of radical theology within a selection of themes. It demonstrates that the radicals have confronted the evangelical movement with a transforming theory of mission, which shows itself to be relevant for today's pressing problems. The fourth section describes the social action of radical evangelicalism and demonstrates that the energetic theology of the radicals is in fact based on a compelling spirituality. The fifth section records the results of the investigation and presents conclusions for praxis and further theological study. / Die voriiegende Dissertation erfasst die geschichtlichen und theologischen Grundlinien des radikalen Evangelikalismus und stellt ihn in den Kontext ahnlicher und ihn beeinflussender Theologien. Es wird aufgezeigt, dass der radikale Evangelikalismus eine evangelikale Grundkonzeption mit Elementen des Anabaptismus, des Social Gospel, der Befreiungstheologie und der Theologien im Umfeld des Okumenischen Rates der Kirchen bereichert Dabei wird deutlich, dass die radikale Theologie genuin evangelikal ist, die Einseitigkeiten der westlichen evangelikalen Theologie aber zu uberwinden vermag. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit ist den Beitragen radikaler Nord- und Lateinamerikaner gewidmet, da diese den radikalen Evangelikalismus wesentlich gepragt haben. Hille, Jochen 09 December 2005 (has links) Norwegen und die Schweiz sind keine EU-Mitgliedstaaten, weil die Bevölkerungen die Integration mehrheitlich in Referenden ablehnte. Die enorme Mobilisierung und Emotionalisierung in den nationalen Integrationsdebatten kann weder durch ökonomische noch durch politische Umstände hinreichend erklärt werden, zumal die Eliten beider Länder mehrheitlich die Integration unterstützen. Die Hauptmobilisierungsressource von Euroskeptikern liegt vielmehr darin, tief verwurzelte nationale Selbst- und Fremdbilder zu reaktivieren. Diese Diskursanalyse beschreibt vergleichend, auf welche Art und Weise die größten euroskeptischen Akteure der Schweiz und Norwegens diesen Rückgriff auf das Nationale in Integrationsdebatten herstellen. Gefragt wird, wie die „Aktion für eine Unabhängige und Neutrale Schweiz“ (AUNS) und die eng mit ihr verbundene „Schweizerische Volkspartei“ (SVP) einerseits, und die norwegische Bewegung „Nein zur EU“ (norwegisch: Nei Til EU) andererseits, ihren Integrationswiderstand mittels nationaler Narrationen und Bildersprachen als sinnvoll darstellen. Hierzu werden umfangreiche euroskeptische Bild- und Textquellen referiert und gedeutet. Damit wird ein Beitrag zur Forschung über das Selbstverständnis, die Denkweise, die Rhetorik und das Tugendsystem anti-integratorischer Bewegungen geleistet. Denn Euroskeptiker verstehen sich primär als Verteidiger der guten nationalen Gemeinschaft. Diese Gemeinschaft und dessen Nationalstaat beschreiben sie als wärmer, natürlicher, näher, gerechter, effizienter, friedlicher und demokratischer als das integrierte Europa, welches als ferner, kalter, bürokratischer Superstaat EU dargestellt wird. / Norway and Switzerland are not member states of the EU, since the majority of the people rejected integration in several referenda. The emotionality and the enormous mobilisation in national debates on integration cannot sufficiently be explained by economic and political reasons, since the majority of the elites are supporting integration. Instead, the main resource of mobilisation for Eurosceptics lies in reactivating deeply rooted descriptions of national self and other. For carving out these collective images, this discourse-analysis compares how the major Eurosceptical actors of Switzerland, the “Action for an Independent and Neutral Switzerland” (AUNS) together with the tightly connected “Swiss People’s Party” (SVP), on one hand, and the Norwegian movement “No To EU” (NEI TIL EU), on the other hand, describe their actions as meaningful in their iconography and narrations. In doing so, the study refers to and interprets extensive material from Eurosceptical actors and contributes to the understanding of Eurosceptical self-perception, ways of thinking, rhetoric and virtue system. Here Eurosceptics perceive themselves mainly as defenders of the national community and its nation-state, which are regarded as warm, natural, close, justified, efficient, peaceful and democratic, while Europe is perceived as the cold, distant, bureaucratic superstate EU.
