Inloggning på trådlöst nätverk vid Umeå Stadsbibliotek / Login authentication for users and guests at Umeå City Library

Eriksson, John January 2015 (has links)
The goal of this project is to present a solution for the wireless network at the city library in Umeå. The new system will allow users to log on to the wireless network using their library card along with a password of some kind. There must also be a way for guests without library cards to be allowed access to the network in some way. The result of this project was based on hardware that Umeå already had access to, and certain functions in that hardware that hasn’t been explored earlier and offered a lot of potential. This solution was tested to some extent and could be implemented in a near future.

Spectrally controlled interferometry for measurements of flat and spherical optics

Olszak, Artur G., Salsbury, Chase 16 October 2017 (has links)
Conventional interferometry is widely used to measure spherical and flat surfaces with nanometer level precision but is plagued by back reflections. We describe a new method of isolating the measurement surface by controlling spectral properties of the source (Spectrally Controlled Interferometry - SCI). Using spectral modulation of the interferometer's source enables formation of localized fringes where the optical path difference is non-zero. As a consequence it becomes possible to form white-light like fringes in common path interferometers, such as the Fizeau. The proposed setup does not require mechanical phase shifting, resulting in simpler instruments and the ability to upgrade existing interferometers. Furthermore, it allows absolute measurement of distance, including radius of curvature of lenses in a single setup with possibility of improving the throughput and removing some modes of failure.

Semiregular Trees with Minimal Index

Biyikoglu, Türker, Leydold, Josef January 2009 (has links) (PDF)
A semiregular tree is a tree where all non-pendant vertices have the same degree. Belardo et al. (MATCH Commun. Math. Chem. 61(2), pp. 503-515, 2009) have shown that among all semiregular trees with a fixed order and degree, a graph with index is caterpillar. In this technical report we provide a different proof for this theorem. Furthermore, we give counter examples that show that this result cannot be generalized to the class of trees with a given (non-constant) degree sequence. / Series: Research Report Series / Department of Statistics and Mathematics

Jäger, Viktoria January 2017 (has links)

Proton Form Factor Puzzle and the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer(CLAS) Two-Photon Exchange Experiment

Rimal, Dipak 27 May 2014 (has links)
The electromagnetic form factors are the most fundamental observables that encode information about the internal structure of the nucleon. The electric ($G_{E}$) and the magnetic ($G_{M}$) form factors contain information about the spatial distribution of the charge and magnetization inside the nucleon. A significant discrepancy exists between the Rosenbluth and the polarization transfer measurements of the electromagnetic form factors of the proton. One possible explanation for the discrepancy is the contributions of two-photon exchange (TPE) effects. Theoretical calculations estimating the magnitude of the TPE effect are highly model dependent, and limited experimental evidence for such effects exists. Experimentally, the TPE effect can be measured by comparing the ratio of positron-proton elastic scattering cross section to that of the electron-proton $\large(R = \frac{\sigma (e^{+}p)}{\sigma (e^{-}p)}\large)$. The ratio $R$ was measured over a wide range of kinematics, utilizing a 5.6 GeV primary electron beam produced by the Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF) at Jefferson Lab. This dissertation explored dependence of $R$ on kinematic variables such as squared four-momentum transfer ($Q^{2}$) and the virtual photon polarization parameter ($\varepsilon$). A mixed electron-positron beam was produced from the primary electron beam in experimental Hall B. The mixed beam was scattered from a liquid hydrogen (LH$_{2}$) target. Both the scattered lepton and the recoil proton were detected by the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS). The elastic events were then identified by using elastic scattering kinematics. This work extracted the $Q^{2}$ dependence of $R$ at high $\varepsilon$ ($\varepsilon > $ 0.8) and the $\varepsilon$ dependence of $R$ at $\langle Q^{2} \rangle \approx 0.85$ GeV$^{2}$. In these kinematics, our data confirm the validity of the hadronic calculations of the TPE effect by Blunden, Melnitchouk, and Tjon. This hadronic TPE effect, with additional corrections contributed by higher excitations of the intermediate state nucleon, largely reconciles the Rosenbluth and the polarization transfer measurements of the electromagnetic form factors.

Sistema mecatrônico para reabilitação pós fratura da extremidade distal do rádio / Mechatronic system for rehabilitation after fracture of distal radius

Ito, Gisele Gonsalez 13 January 2011 (has links)
Distal radius fracture is the most common type of injury found in emergency of orthopedic department. It requires effective rehabilitation that can be made with contributions of current technologies. For this, a mobile and interactive mechatronic system was built from the expertise of specialists in healthcare and engineering. The system was tested in thirty healthy people, the professionals of these areas and the population most affected: young men and postmenopausal women. The data and the social cues presented by the participants were analyzed. They answered a questionnaire to evaluate the system. The results showed that the system meets many rehabilitation requirements, but improvements are necessary.

Vliv specializace na strukturu měst, venkovského osídlení a krajiny / Infuse of specialization on structure cities, rural habitat and landscape

Štěpánek, Martin January 2019 (has links)
Specialization and concentration of human activity is a phenomenon which accompanies the development of human settlements from their very beginning. While thoroughly explored in other fields, interconnection between pecialisation, on one hand, and urbanism and architecture, on the other, has been neglected. Nevertheless, this issue is of high ignificance since it determines the settlement structure development to a large extent. If understood correctly, this underlying principle of the impact of specialisation and concentration on the settlement development offers a new insight into historical context and enables one to understand the present development.

Návrh řešení autentizace uživatelů pro malé a střední počítačové sítě / Design of user authentication for small and medium networks

Hajný, Jan January 2008 (has links)
The main focus of this Master’s thesis is user authentication and access control in a computer network. I analyze the TCP/IP model in connection with security and describe main stepping stones of authentication protocols (mainly hash functions). The authentication protocol analysis follows. I begin with LANMAN protocol analysis for the reason of a security comparison. The NTLM, Kerberos and Radius follows. The focus is on the Kerberos which is chosen as a main authentication protocol. This is also a reason why the modification used in MS domains is described. The implementation and functional verification is placed in the second part which is more practical. The virtualization technology is used for an easier manipulation. The result is a computer network model requiring user authentication and minimizing the possibility of an attack by unauthorized clients.
