Supply Chain Risk Management : - En kvalitativ studie kring Covid-19s påverkan på den svenska verkstadsindustrin.Nyman, Johan, Kniif, Victor, Bico, Hamza January 2020 (has links)
Abstract Background and problem statement: Since December 2019 the world have been largely affected by the new corona virus (Covid-19). The corporate industry has experienced the consequences of whole nations isolating themselves to contain the virus. The complex networks of today’s supply chains further complicate this situation. This has challenged companies expertise and preparedness within areas of supply chain risk management and further within procurement. Purpose: This study aims to identify how companies within the Swedish manufacturing industry work with risk management in supply chains mainly targeting risk management within procurement. Furthermore, the study aims to identify how these companies have been affected by the pandemic outbreak and how they have handled the situation by using risk management strategies. Based on this purpose two research questions were constructed. Method: A qualitative study design with some contribution from the quantitative study design have been carried out through semi-structured interviews. By analysing secondary data such as literature and peer-reviewed articles a theoretical framework was constructed. Results: Supply chain risk management is not formalized as a term within the industry, although it is safe to say that companies work with activities and strategies within the area. Strategies that proved effective during the pandemic outbreak were safety stock, geographical placement of suppliers, risk identification and risk analysis. Flexibility within the supply chains also proved to be vital to the success of the companies during this time.

Understanding Perspectives of Risk AwarenessPark, Byunguk Randon 01 August 2014 (has links)
Research in risk awareness has been relatively neglected in the health informatics literature, which tends largely to examine project managers’ perspectives of risk awareness; very few studies explicitly address the perspectives held by senior executives such as directors. Another limitation evident in the current risk literature is that studies are often based on American data and/or they are restricted to American culture. Both factors highlight the need to examine how senior executives (i.e., directors) who oversee or direct eHealth projects in Canada perceive risk awareness. This research explores and discusses the perspectives of risk awareness (i.e., identification, analysis, and prioritization) held by directors and project managers who implement Canadian eHealth projects. Semi-structured interviews with nine directors and project managers uncovered six key distinctions in these two groups’ awareness of risk. First, all project managers valued transparency over anonymity, whereas directors believed that an anonymous reporting system for communicating risks had merit. Secondly, most directors emphasized the importance of evidence-based planning and decision making when balancing risks and opportunities, an aspect none of the project managers voiced. Thirdly, while project managers noted that the level of risk tolerance may evolve from being risk-averse to risk-neutral, directors believed that risk tolerance evolved toward risk-seeking. Directors also noted the importance of employing risk officers, a view that was not shared by project managers. Directors also believed the risk of too little end-user engagement and change management was the most important risk, whereas project managers ranked it as the least important. Finally, when directors and project managers were asked to identify and define the root cause(s) of eHealth risks, directors identified the complexity of health care industry, while project managers attributed it to political pressure and a lack of resources where eHealth projects are concerned. This research proposes that the varied perspectives of risk awareness held by directors and project managers must be considered and integrated to properly align expectations and build partnerships for successful eHealth project outcomes. Understanding risk awareness offers a means to systematically identify and analyze the complex nature of eHealth projects by embracing uncertainties, thereby enabling forward thinking (i.e., staying one step ahead of risks) and the ability to prevent avoidable risks and seize opportunities. / Graduate / 0723 / 0489 / 0454 / randbpark@gmail.com

Návrh na zavedení metodiky řízení projektu do firmy / Proposal of the Implementation of the Project Management Methodology into the CompanyVojta, Lubomír January 2015 (has links)
This diploma theses deals with the challenges of a project management in a particular construction company that handles projects on daily basis. I focused on the analysis of a particular project in this company, that has been successfully implemented. This analysis served as a starting point for the designing of the changes, as well as a devising a tool that simplifies the set up of the changes into practice. Selected problem was solved by comparing the project management methodology in the project with the project management practices officially proposed in the literature. Tool design was carried out in the environment of Microsoft Excel. I managed to design a tool in which the shortcomings are treated the way that facilitates their implementation into practice, especially by using an easy environment and outputs well-arranged for the user. This tool is therefore mainly used to eliminate the identified shortcomings and thus to facilitate and simplify project management in practice.

Riskanalys inom MRO-industrin / Risk Analysis in the MRO industryBrstina, Stefan, Rizkallah, Leon January 2022 (has links)
Analysmetoderna som används är en PHL (Preliminary Hazard List), FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) och en ACHB analys (Accidental Cost & Hypothetical Benefit) / The MRO industry is a critical part of maintenance in the aviation industry where the work processes differ from company to company. In order to be able to perform as safe and high-quality work as possible, it is important to assess risks and minimize existing risks in the operation to ensure quality for customers and safety for workers. The client ST Engineering Aerospace Solutions (STEAS) is the leading company in Sweden interms of MRO work and with the constant development of equipment, more and more risks are discovered that require analysis and minimization. Research has previously been done on how fixture design can be improved ergonomically using virtual environment technology. This is to be able to minimize design and manufacturing costs with regard to the iteration process. This in combination with studies done on musculoskeletal injuries with connections to the MRO industry highlights the need for risk analysis in the MRO industry. The work at STEAS consists of performing risk analysis from a technical, ergonomic and financial perspective on their moving fixtures and chemical processes so that STEAS can then check for possible costs and implement the recommended measures. The analysis methods used are a PHL (Preliminary Hazard List), FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and an ACHB analysis (Accidental Cost & Hypothetical Benefit)
