Previous issue date: 2005 / Resumo: O trabalho analisa e reforça a importância da educação permanente para o desenvolvimento e eficiência dos trabalhadores na área da construção civil, na cidade de Campinas e região, nos últimos 10 anos, bem como identificar os problemas que afetam o trabalhador e pesquisar as empresas na forma como conduzem a qualificação profissional e elaborar propostas de treinamentos baseados na educação. A metodologia usada é descritiva qualitativa, que procura trabalhar com o desempenho e comportamento do trabalhador, ou seja, coletar dados e confrontá-los, interpretar e não deduzir. Constata-se que o trabalhador consciente e responsável na atividade que desenvolve contribui para obtenção do controle de qualidade total, minimizando perda de tempo e material, satisfazendo a empresa, a sociedade, e sobretudo a si próprio. Os dirigentes das empresas da construção civil devem ter autoconfiança o suficiente para transmitirem tanta autoridade quanto for possível aos seus funcionários. Assim, assegura-se o respeito pela humanidade como sua filosofia de administração. Segundo a pesquisa realizada, as empresas que promovem treinamentos baseados na educação, apresentam alto grau de satisfação com o desempenho de seus funcionários, da mesma forma que a reciprocidade ocorre. A maioria dos trabalhadores demonstra eficiência nas tarefas quando treinados sistematicamente. Em geral, percebe-se que após os treinamentos, a integração do trabalhador, empresa e seus pares é eficaz, melhorando a qualidade de serviço, interação entre as equipes e, principalmente, a satisfação pessoal. Ao privilegiar a abordagem humanística, através da educação permanente, reconhece-se que entre o comportamento e o desempenho há o valor das pessoas / Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to analyze the importance of permanent education for development and efficiency of workers in the civil construction in Campinas city and region for the last ten years, as well as to raise the problems that affect the worker and to survey about companies and how they conduct the professional qualification, and to elaborate proposals of training based on education. The applied methodology is the qualitative descriptive that tries to work with the performance and behavior of the worker, that is to collect and analyse data and compare them, to interpret not to deduce than. One evidence is that the conscientious and responsible worker contributes for attainment of the total quality control minimizing waste of time and construction material, satisfying the company, society, and especially the worker himself. The leaders of the civil construction companies must have enough confidence to transmit as much authority as possible to their employees. Thus, the respect for humanity is assured as a philosophy of management. According to this research, the companies that promote training based on the education present high degree of satisfaction with the performance of their employees, likewise reciprocity occurs. The majority of the workers demonstrates efficiency in their tasks when trained systematically. In general, it is noticed that after the training, the integration of the workers with the company and their partners is efficient, improving the quality of work, interaction between teams and mainly the personal satisfaction. D.Litt. et Phil. / The growing number of married women with children who enter the work force is widely documented. In addition, the last decade has seen the number of self-employed women increase dramatically. The homemaker role, which remains an important adult attainment fora large segment of the female population for at least some portion of their adult lives, has received little attention. The career of the homemaker is omitted both in the traditional definition of the labour force and by the career counselling profession. Because of the rise in women's labour force activity there has been increased concern with the psychological implications of occupying family and work roles simultaneously. Married women who obtain employment typically experience role expansion and such expansion has potential repercussions for the women themselves, for their families and for their employing institutions. Although these women are assuming the demanding role of employee, they are typically not free to relinquish any of their previous traditional roles - the major responsibility for household work and parenting chores still appears to be the province of women. Presently, the empirical evidence of the psychological effects of maternal employment is equivocal, suggesting both positive and negative effects are possible. On the one hand paid employment has been related to increased self-esteem, status and life satisfaction in working mothers. On the other hand, maternal employment has also been associated with role conflict, life dissatisfaction and family stress. A wide variety of correlates of home-career conflict has been studied. The accumulation of empirical studies has not, however, been integrated in a way which advances understanding of the interrelationships of variables associated with home-career conflict. The purpose of the present study was to investigate from within an integrated framework the relationship between work and family domains and their impact on the life satisfaction of women who re-enter the labour market, women entrepreneurs and homemakers.

The diploma thesis focuses on the concept of social work in the social and legal protection of children and social workers perception of the prestige this profession. The diploma thesis defines terms such as self-worth, self-realization, motivation and prestige, while the emphasis is mainly on meeting expectations that were formed before studying at university, or higher professional school. The work also focuses on the professional and systemic limits that social workers at OSPOD encounter, but also on the assumptions that are an integral part of the professional performance of social work at OSPOD. The empirical part of the thesis is focused on qualitative research, where semi-structured interviews were used and the respondents were selected on the basis of the reference selection. This thesis also looks into the problem and identification of critical areas, which are connected with the performance of social work on OSPOD, mainly in the context of perception of prestige of this profession.

Объектом исследования явились прогностические способности студентов. Предметом исследования стали психологические особенности прогностической прогностической компетентности (антиципационной состоятельности) и интуиции у студентов с разным уровнем самотрансценденции и экзистенциальной исполненности (как операциональной составляющей самотрансценденции). Магистерская диссертация состоит из введения, двух глав, заключения, списка литературы (72 источника) и приложения, включающего в себя бланки применявшихся методик. Объем магистерской диссертации 89 страниц, на которых размещены 4 рисунка и 6 таблиц. Во введении раскрывается актуальность проблемы исследования, разработанность проблематики, ставятся цель и задачи исследования, определяются объект и предмет исследования, формулируются основная и дополнительные гипотезы, указываются методы и эмпирическая база, а также этапы проведения исследования, научная новизна, теоретическая и практическая значимость работы. Первая глава включает в себя обзор иностранной и отечественной литературы по теме феномена самотрансценденции. Представлены разделы, посвященные исследованию структурных составляющих самотрансценденции и их взаимосвязей студентов. Выводы по первой главе представляют собой итоги по изучению теоретического материала. Вторая глава посвящена эмпирической части исследования. В ней представлено описание организации и методов проведенного исследования и результатов, полученных по всем использованным методикам: опроснику «Шкала экзистенции» (А. Лэнгле, К. Орглер) – шкала самотрансценденции; «Тесту экзистенциальных мотиваций» (В. Б. Шумский, Е. М. Уколовa, Е. Н. Осин, Я. Д. Лупандина) – шкала экзистенциальной исполненности; тесту антиципационной состоятельности (прогностической компетентности) (В. Д. Менделевич); опроснику интуитивного стиля С. Эпстайна (адаптация Т. В. Корниловой, С. А. Корнилова). Также в главе представлен сравнительный и корреляционный анализ результатов исследования. Выводы по главе 2 включают в себя основные результаты эмпирического исследования. В заключении в обобщенном виде изложены результаты теоретической и эмпирической частей работы, а также выводы по выдвинутым гипотезам, обоснована практическая значимость исследования и описаны возможные перспективы дальнейшей разработки данной проблематики. / The object matter of the study are prognostic abilities of students. The subject of the study are the psychological characteristics of predictive competence (anticipatory consistency) and intuition among students with different levels of self-transcendence and existential fulfillment (as an operational component of self-transcendence). The master's thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of literature (111 sources) and an appendix, which includes the forms of the applied methodologies. The volume of the master's thesis is 121 pages, on which are placed 12 figures and 7 tables. The introduction reveals the relevance of the research problem, the development of the problem, sets the goal and objectives of the study, defines the object and subject of the study, formulates the main and additional hypotheses, indicates the methods and empirical base, as well as the stages of the study, scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance of the work. The first chapter includes a review of foreign and domestic literature on the topic of the phenomenon of self-transcendence. Sections devoted to the study of the structural components of self-transcendence and their interrelations of students are presented. The conclusions on the first chapter are the results of the study of theoretical material. The second chapter is devoted to the empirical part of the study. It presents a description of the organization and methods of the study and the results obtained by all the methods used: the questionnaire "Scale of Existence" (A. Lenglet, K. Orgler) - the scale of self-transcendence; "Test of existential motivations" (V. B. Shumsky, E. M. Ukolova, E. N. Osin, Y. D. Lupandina) - the scale of existential fulfillment; test of anticipatory consistency (prognostic competence) (V. D. Mendelevich); S. Epstein's intuitive style questionnaire (adapted by T. V. Kornilova, S. A. Kornilov). The chapter also presents a comparative and correlation analysis of the results of the study. The conclusion of the second chapter include the main findings of the empirical study. In conclusion, the results of the theoretical and empirical parts of the work, as well as conclusions on the hypotheses put forward, are summarized, the practical significance of the study is substantiated, and possible prospects for further development of this issue are described.

В теоретической части представлены концепции смысла жизни, открытия смысла жизни или, иначе, экзистенциальной пустоты из-за его отсутствия, продуктивности, самореализации и мотивации. Практическая часть состоит из анализа ответов на 5 анкет: были поданы заявки на 31 преподавателя для 4 различных университетов Мексики, Россия, Латвия и Казахстан. На основе полученных данных были разработаны предложения по признанию того, что профессора, чувствуя себя преданными и вовлеченными в свою работу и компанию, создают это позитивное отношение, которое повлияет на устойчивый рост и развитие нашей страны, для которой именно это исследование вопросов мотивации-смысла жизни, будет играть фундаментальную роль. В заключение подводятся итоги в соответствии с поставленными задачами. / The final qualifying work consists of an introduction, three parts, a conclusion, a bibliographic list, and appendixes. The theoretical part presents the concepts of meaning in life, the discovery of meaning in life, or otherwise, the existential void due to the lack thereof, productivity, carreer self-realization and motivation. The practical part consists of the analysis for answers for 5 questionnaires: there were applied for 31 professors for 4 different universities in Mexico, Russia, Latvia and Kazajastan. Based on the data obtained, proposals have been developed on recognizing that who are professors, by feeling committed and involved with their work and company, generate this positive attitude that will impact the sustained growth and projection of our country, for which, precisely this study of the issues of motivation-sense of life, will play a fundamental role. In conclusion, the results are summed up in accordance with the tasks set.

This research investigated the psychometric characteristics of self-actualisation, locus of control, sense of coherence and emotional intelligence as constructs of psychological wellness. Details of the intercorrelatedness of the various constructs will assist in understanding the nature of psychological wellness and its measurement.
In the literature review a definition for psychological wellness was determined by studying various definitions and models of psychological wellness. During this investigation it was determined that the four constructs mentioned above were related to psychological wellness.
An explorative factor analysis was conducted to address the empirical research questions. Three factors (psychological adjustment, self-actualisation and stress management) were extracted from the analysis. The descriptive statistics were analysed in terms of management responsibility, gender and race.
The findings of the explorative factor analysis supported the theoretical definition of psychological wellness. It was found that self-actualisation played a key role in psychological wellness. It also seeks to give teachers a tool that would simply and effectively determine the level of their work on self-development of their pupils.

Previous issue date: 2006-06-19 / The longevity that occurs in the aging of our population is currently a phenomenon that impacts the post-modern society in a multidimensional manner, making it necessary to examine it from the perspective of various areas of knowledge. The objective of the present study was to identify and to comprehend, from the perspective of one person, if the Preparation Process for Post-Career contributed to a new meaning of the phase understood as retirement. The theoretical reference addressed the Life Cycle and the challenges of aging, including retirement and aspects of self-realization. The methods used were based on research with a qualitative approach, whose focus was the individual interviewed with his motivations and renewed values, after a two year reflective process of preparation. The instrument used was a semi-structured interview, based on an established script, a priori, and enriched by the narratives that followed. The data analysis occurred in two stages: the first, more descriptive, focused on a direct reading of the data obtained and transcript, whose division into general categories and subcategories show a more direct relationship of the person with the process. In the second stage, the data analysis emerged, based on the method denominated "interview of the interview", with the objective to seek responses that may facilitate comprehending the meanings of the feelings and reflections of the participant, in reference to the process. The analysis traced an radius that originated from the phenomenon of retirement to the individual, expanded by various issues related to health, and amplified again into a network, through the family and social relationships. The preparation for post-career proved to be favorable to the subject who was eligible for retirement, and new points of focus surged from the research, particularly the importance of the dialectic in self-realization / A longevidade decorrente do envelhecimento populacional é atualmente um fenômeno que impacta a sociedade pós-moderna de forma multidimensional, necessitando ser examinado à luz da integração de vários saberes. O presente estudo teve como objetivo, identificar e compreender pela perspectiva de uma pessoa, se o Processo de Preparação para o Pós-Carreira, contribuiu para a re-significação da fase compreendida como aposentadoria. O método utilizado baseou-se em um estudo de caso com abordagem qualitativa, cujo foco foi o participante com suas motivações e valores orientados, após um processo reflexivo de preparação de dois anos. O instrumento utilizado na pesquisa foi a entrevista semi-estruturada, realizada por meio de um roteiro estabelecido a priori e enriquecido a partir das narrativas que se seguiram. A análise dos dados ocorreu em dois estágios: o primeiro mais descritivo focou-se em uma leitura direta dos dados obtidos e transcritos, cuja divisão por categorias gerais e subcategorias, explicitam uma relação mais direta da pessoa com o processo. Em um segundo momento emergiu o nível de análise de dados baseada no método denominado entrevista da entrevista , com o objetivo de buscar respostas que possibilitassem compreender os significados dos sentimentos e reflexões do participante, referentes ao processo. A análise desenhou um raio que partiu do fenômeno da aposentadoria até o sujeito, ampliado nas várias instâncias da saúde e novamente ampliado em rede, pela família e convívio social. A preparação para o pós-carreira mostrou-se favorável ao participante em condições de elegibilidade para a aposentadoria, e novos enfoques surgiram a partir da pesquisa, em especial a importância da dialética na auto-realização

This dissertation deals with self-realization and self-surpassing of individuals during the selected period of their productive age within their free time. The academic part, based on specialized literature, describes functions as well as factors of free time and its evolution from ancient time to the present. It describes middle age and its specifics from a developmental psychology point of view, it further aims to grasp the self-realization and self-surpassing keywords. The practical part addresses a research of the leisure-time-activities preferences of working middle-aged individuals, focusing on self-realization and self-surpassing.It describes methods used in a performed research, evaluates obtained data and at the conclusion summarizes the results of the research.
