<p><strong>Aim:</strong> This paper aims to produce a serviced office concept adjusted to Statens fastighetsverk. The concept will make SFV:s properties more attractive for renting.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Method:</strong> Information has been collected from interviews with 13 different serviced office companies, one serviced office agent and eleven government authorities. Also litterateur, reports and internet have been used in gathering information.</p><p>I will use following questions:</p><p>¨ How is the serviced office concept designed?</p><p>¨ Which customer segment should SFV direct to and what need does the segment have?</p><p>¨ How shall a marketing plan look like for the concept?</p><p>¨ How should a concept designed for SFV look like?</p><p> </p><p><strong>Result & Conclusions: </strong>Serviced office space is a company that letting functional workspace with access to shared facilities e.g. reception, office machines, internet, phone and more. Serviced offices have one distinguishing feature, very flexible let agreements. In this paper my conclusion is that government authorities are a suitable customer for suggested concept, especially government authorities with head quarters outside the Stockholm region. They have to be present in Stockholm with either employees that perform work from distant and have the need of coordinated workspace or commute workers that have the need of mobile workspace and meeting rooms. SFV can meet this need with suggested concept and to simplify I named the concept Myndighetscentret. The concept is developed on the basis of to the needs of government authorities and it’s divided in two parts, one part with conference and one with letting of workspace. The workspace area has different types of workstation to match the different needs of the customer.</p><p>¨ Mobile workspace suited for customers with temporary need of workspace.</p><p>¨ Cell office of different sizes suited for customers with permanently need of workspace.</p><p>I believe that governmental authorities can benefit from this concept and be seemed as innovative thinking of SFV and a will of develop their property. I also believe SFV:s properties with many cell offices are suited to this concept because of the secrecy between governmental authorities.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Suggestions for future research</strong>: It would be interesting to do a quantitative research of the governmental authorities’ exact needs and how big it is. Also research Swedish serviced office market and the future of it would be interesting.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Contribution of the thesis: </strong>In this report I have shown that governmental authorities in Sweden have a need for variant types of workspace in Stockholm and developed a concept for SFV to meet this need.</p>

The common drivers for hotel accommodation are tourism and business travel and hotel demand seem to outstrip supply in many places. More than 50 % of visitors to Sweden stay at a traditional hotel but is there room for alternate accommodation like serviced apartments besides the traditional hotel for people visiting? These are usually referred to as extended stay or long-stay accommodation. The aim of this thesis project is to explore whether there are growth opportunities for serviced apartments in Sweden. A secondary aim of the thesis project is to identify challenges (if any) to this segment and also to identify the major operators of serviced apartments in Sweden. The research has been conducted through literature review, survey and interviews. The findings are that there seem to be growth opportunities particularly in the Stockholm area, even though there are issues that need to be addressed by the industry such as its fragmented nature and to keep up with company traveler programs and policies. The research also found that the major operators in Sweden are small, independent and national. Efterfrågan på hotellrum drivs framförallt av turist och affärsresenärer och på manga ställen verkar efterfrågan vara större än efterfrågan. Mer än hälften av turisterna som kommer till Sverige bor på ett traditionellt hotell när de kommer på besök och övernattar men finns det utrymme för alternativt boende som lägenheter med självhushållning? Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka huruvida det finns tillväxtmöjligheter för segmentet självhushållda lägenheter (s.k. long-stay) tillhandahållna av operatörer. Syftet är också (om än sekundärt) att identifiera utmaningar för denna bransch samt vilka de största operatörerna är? Information har samlats in via genomgång av befintlig litteratur på ämnet, via enkätundersökning och intervjuer. Slutsatsen är att det verkar finnas tillväxtmöjligheter, framförallt i Stockholm även om branschen står inför flera utmaningar såsom tydlighet med produkten. Operatörerna i Sverige är identifierade som små, fristående och nationella.

Mileage per First Service as Affected by Shape of Area and Number of Cows Serviced by a Technician of a Utah Artificial Breeding AssociationHowell, Geren V. 01 May 1953 (has links)
Artificial insemination of dairy cattle is one of the recent enterprises of dairymen in this area. It is an enterprise which has expanded rapidly and will likely continue to expand during the next few years. In this area the technician or inseminator collects from $6.00 to $10.00 at the time of first service. This entitles the dairyman to two repeat inseminations for that cow, if necessary, to get the cow pregnant. Of this amount the technician receives $2.75. A bonus payment is made so that technicians inseminating fewer than 500 cows receive a total payment of $3.60. The bonus payment per cow decreases gradually until at 1500 or more cows, no bonus is paid. Payment to the technician is intended to include the value of his time and the mileage necessary to either impregnate the cow or inseminate her three times.
Mileage per first service may be affected by size and shape of the area in which a technician operates. The pattern of cow distribution where cows are located in and around the communities may affect mileage. This mileage may be different than in an area with a block pattern of roads with cows located on the farms in all parts of the area. In many of the technician units a small number of first service may be different than in those units where a large number of cows are inseminated.
This study was undertaken to determine the mileage traveled to impregnate a cow as affected by the number of first services in a year. The relation of mileage to shape of are serviced by a technician and the number of first services within a year were also studied.

This study examines how the staff at a serviced housing for persons with developmental disabilities understands and manage their professional roles, and how they interact with the users. The material consists mainly of participant observation and interviews with duty personnel. The study has an existentialist/phenomenological framework and describes how personnel perceived their work situation as problematic and how this affected the staff's way of relating to and interact with the users. There was instances in which the staff exercised power over the users. The thesis also shows how the staff's jointly designed practical routine had compromising effects on the ethical principles they highlighted as important to follow in the interviews. The study shows that it is possible to understand the gap between the staff's ideals and practices based on their efforts to establish security, continuity and predictability in a situation that was perceived as unsafe.
