Kvinnors upplevelse av sexuell lust och sexualliv efter barnafödande

Bredahl, Ulrika, Koch, Tina January 2014 (has links)
Abstract: Historically, much has changed in female sexuality, women have gone from not having any rights at all to in the 1900s getting more and more rights. The brain are important for sexual desire and many factors affect a woman´s desire. Influencing factors on women's desire and intimate sexual relationship after they have given birth include physical, psychological and hormonal. The aim of the study was to describe women's experience of sexual desire and intimate sexual relationship after she has given birth to her first child. The authors have interviewed nine women about their experience of sexual desire and intimate sexual relationship when the child was 9-18 months old, when the woman is believed to have achieved a sense of security in her parental role. A qualitative content analysis with an inductive approach was used in the analysis and interpretation of the interviews in order to find the essence and get a result. The change it means to be a mother leads to a decrease in sexual desire for most women. This in turn affected the intimate sexual relationship with the partner which decreased in frequency. A prominent factor influencing desire and intimate sexual relationship were fatigue, which made sleep a priority. The women also felt distracted by the child's presence during intercourse and that breastfeeding meant that the breasts purpose changed. Most women felt that motherhood after all brought positive changes for themselves, how they viewed their body and that they received a new confidence. A decrease in sexual desire or a decreased frequency of the intimate sexual relationship during a period of life does not mean that the woman experienced decreased sexual health. The women would have preferred a more direct communication with the midwife around sexual health. It is thus very important that midwives improve their level of knowledge about female sexual health. / Program: Barnmorskeutbildning

Sexuální dysfunkce u českých žen / Sexual dysfunction amongst czech women

Hollá, Kateřina January 2012 (has links)
Theoretical part Currently accepted new conceptualization of women's sexual dysfunction is based on the model found in the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD). These classifications are extended and combined interpersonal, contextual, personalpsychological and biological factors. Recent DSM- IV definitions have focused on absence of sexual fantasies and sexual desireprior to sexual activity and arousal, even though the frequencyof this type of desire is known to vary greatly among women without sexual complaints. DSM-IV definitions also focus on genital swelling and lubrication, entities known to correlate poorly with subjective sexual arousal and pleasure. The structure of the new classification is based on the four categories of DSM-IV: disorders of desire, arousal, orgasm and pain. However these categories are newly assigned to the subjective dimension of satisfaction, stress and the presence of disorders during other sexual activities besides intercourse. The dimension lifetime vs. acquired, generalized vs. situational were added, as well as the etiology is taking into account. For clinical work it is important that these changes highlight the significance and importance of psychological, situational...

Journeys into the garden of sexuality : the voices of women's sexuality in pastoral conversations

Spies, Nicoline 30 November 2005 (has links)
Tills research project arose from an awareness that many Christian women experience female sexual desire and the expression of sexual pleasure within a religious context to be a forbidden subject and that they are consequently isolated in silence. The social construction of sexuality within the history of Christianity was briefly explored to see which discourses underpin current constructions of White Christian female sexuality. Tills feminist, participatory action research project challenged the silence on women's sexuality by inviting three women to narrate their personal stories of sexuality. With the help of narrative therapeutic practices, some of the dominant social and religious discourses that constitute White Christian female sexuality were challenged and explored. This research project aimed at the co-construction of narratives of sexuality that will hopefully be life-giving to Christian women's experiences with sexuality. / Practical Theology / M.Th. Her Milkshake Brings Out The Girls In Amman: Examining Questions about Sexual Desire and Societal Influences Among Same-Sex Desiring Women in Jordan

Ostrowski, Caitlin Marlena 10 August 2018 (has links)
In the Middle East and in many majority Muslim nations, homosexuality, including homosexual acts, identities, desires, and discussions of those, is considered taboo. Utilizing a feminist theoretical orientation, this project examined the ways in which same-sex desiring women in Amman, Jordan view the concept of sexually desiring and its relationship to identities. It also examined the pressures placed on them to abide by and navigate familial and religious expectations that conflict with their sexuality. This project drew upon 15 interviews from Muslim and Christian women in Amman using semi-structured and unstructured interviews and participant observation. After analysis, it was concluded that the majority of informants believe in innate sexual desires and sexuality and that all people sexually desire in similar ways. It was also concluded that informants face more pressure from family than from religion, and therefore, find it easier to balance religious obligations than familial obligations with their sexuality.

Konstruerad utsatthet : En bildsemiotisk analys av Nathalie Djurbergs stop motion-filmer Greed och Cave / Constructed exposedness : A visual semiotic analysis of Nathalie Djurberg’s stop motion-films Greed and Cave

Cserhalmi, Nora January 2019 (has links)
This essay aims to analyse how the exposedness is constructed in the Swedish contemporary artist Nathalie Djurberg’s two stop motion-films Greed and Cave. Five stills from Greed and three stills from Cave will be examined from a feminist perspective with a theoretical viewpoint based on theories from both art history and film studies. The method applied is visual semiotics which focuses on how meaning is created within an artwork rather than what the meaning is. The stills from Djurberg’s films are analysed first on a denotative level and then on a connotative level. Furthermore, visual semiotics theorises that everything is made up of systems of signs which allows this essay to study how the women in Djurberg’s movies functions as signs. The essay demonstrated that the women in Djurberg’s films can be seen as passive objects under the power of the male gaze. However, the analysis also displayed that the woman in Cave can be perceived as someone who defies the patriarchal norms for how a woman should behave and look. Nonetheless, the exposedness of these women seems to be constructed firstly in their bodies and how they are represented, both in looks but also how they are posed to reinforce patriarchal conventions in the female representation, and secondly in their relation to male characters - or the implied male gaze from a spectator - in the films. The women in Djurberg’s films can thus be understood as signs for male sexual desires, as signs for the Woman posing as the Man’s opposite, as the objective for His gaze.
