Högfeldt, Richard January 2020 (has links)
The purpose of this work is to review how households and individuals have adapted to today's pandemic by seeing how the everyday elements that exist have changed and where movement patterns have been re-evaluated and converted into a new form of patterns. Issues that will be highlighted are: - How has the movement pattern for the household changed from a “normal everyday” life to Covid-19? - How have households adapted to conflicts over the distribution of household space? - How has the individual adapted to the new everyday life? The essay will be based on an in-depth study of households everyday lives. Where a time-geographical approach will form the basis for the theory of work. This work will be based on three parts. The primary data will consist of time diaries and semi-structured interviews. Secondary data in the form of literature will also build up a background understanding. A description of individuals' movement patterns from the time diary will shed light on different results and a deeper understanding will be gained from the interviews that are presented. Individuals 'and households' everyday lives have changed drastically since Covid-19 started, where adaptations are a big part of how individuals design their new movement patterns in their new everyday life.

Andersson, Ellinor, Knutsson, Therese January 2021 (has links)
This study examines how older people in Sweden experience life during the restrictions following the Covid-19 pandemic. Six elderly people were interviewed and the transcriptions were analyzed using a qualitative research method. The study showed that the restrictions have not yet led to any deterioration in well-being, but the majority of the group felt that the restrictions had affected their life situation in a negative way. The group had to limit social contacts and minimize visits from loved ones during the pandemic. Active life was also set aside due to the restrictions, which was perceived negatively by the respondents. The results are in line with previous research which shows that elderly people experience dissatisfaction with social isolation that resulted from the Covid-19 restrictions, but it turned out that the respondents seemed to have a strong safety net and strong resilience as they adapted well to the social restrictions.

Studenters upplevelser av påtvingad distansundervisning : En intervjustudie

Jonsson, Ronja, Karlsson, Jessica January 2021 (has links)
Background: The spread of a new virus was confirmed at the end of 2019 and on March 11th of 2020 the World's Health Organization classified Covid-19 as a worldwide pandemic. Students' educational institutions have then been forced to switch to distance education, which has led to requirements for education sectors to continue the education for students while following the rules for social distancing and distance education. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine how university students experienced the transition to the forced distance education caused by the Covid-19 virus. Method: Semi-structured interviews were conducted, and the collected data were analyzed on the basis of a targeted qualitative content analysis. Results: Motivation, health and digital learning were the factors that influenced the students' health and motivation to complete their studies. Conclusion: The forced distance education for university students in this study led to reduced socialization with others, which had a negative effect on perceived mental health, as did the motivation to complete their studies.

Stridh, David, Häggqvist, Jonathan January 2022 (has links)
The aim of this study was to investigate the association between compliance with covid-19 restrictions and the time perspective of university students. Time perspective was established using the Swedish Zimbardo time perspective inventory (S-ZTPI), developed by Carelli et al(2011). In order to gauge participants compliance to restrictions, a set of 28 questions were developed in which participants answer on a five point Likert-scale (α >.9). Every question belonged to one of six categories: physical distancing, social distancing, healthcare load, face masks, hand hygiene and personal responsibility. This survey was answered by a total of 92 (54 women, 38 men) Swedish university students. A Pearson's test showed significant positive correlation between the time perspective future positive (FP) and likeliness to follow covid-19 restrictions. There were two other factors that were also significant in likeliness to follow covid-19 restrictions to a lesser degree. The first of these two factors were the time perspective future negative (FN). The second factor being gender, women were shown to follow covid-19 restrictions significantly better than men. After a stepwise regressionanalysis, future positive remained as a strong predictor of likeliness to follow covid-19 restrictions. Future oriented time perspectives are a strong predictor for likeliness to follow covid-19 restrictions. Future communication of restrictions should focus on a positive future if people comply with the restrictions and recommendations.

Distansarbetets påverkan på yrkesverksammas aktivitetsmönster : En enkätstudie / The impact of teleworking on professionals activity patterns : A survey study

Hagvall, Johanna, Ward, Ellen January 2022 (has links)
36 personer deltog i studien. / Background: Since the start of the pandemic, it has become more common to work from home. During teleworking, activity patterns may change as the boundary between work and leisure can be easily blurred. Aim: The aim was to describe how teleworking affects the activity pattern of professionals between 19–35 years of age. Method: A quantitative cross-sectional study was performed to collect data through a self-constructed questionnaire. With inspiration from the instrument GAP in everyday activities and Patterns of Daily Occuaptions, questions have been constructed. A mixture of snowball and convenience selection were used. 36 people participated in the study. Data was analyzed using SPSS and the open questions with inspiration from qualitative analysis methods. Results: The results of the study show that the activity pattern has been influenced by teleworking. Most participants felt they had more time for everyday activities during telework compared to work at the workplace and that the physical environment at home affects teleworking. Conclusion: Most participants experience poorer ergonomics and reduced peace of mind and many participants felt they had a more flexible everyday life when teleworking.
