Rigidité symplectique et EDPs hamiltoniennes / Symplectic rigidity and Hamiltonian PDEsBustillo, Jaime 02 July 2018 (has links)
We study symplectic rigidity properties in both finite and infinite dimension. In finite dimension, the main tools that we use are generating functions and symplectic capacities. In infinite dimension we study flows of Hamiltonian partial differential equations (PDEs) and, in particular, flows which can be uniformly approximated by finite dimensional Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms. In the first part of this thesis we study the action selectors defined from generating functions and we build Hamiltonian invariants for subsets of $R^{2m}times T^*T^k$. This allows us to prove a coisotropic non-squeezing theorem for compactly supported Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms of $R^{2n}$. We then extend this result to some non-compact settings. Finally we explain how this result can give information about the middle dimensional symplectic rigidity problem. Still in finite dimensions, we show that it is possible to use the symplectic camel theorem to create energy surfaces with compact invariant subsets. In the second part of the thesis we study symplectic rigidity properties of flows of Hamiltonian PDEs. We work in the context introduced by Kuksin and study a particular class of semi-linear Hamiltonian PDEs that can be approximated by finite dimensional Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms. We first give a new construction of an infinite dimensional capacity using Viterbo's capacities. The main result of this part is the proof of the analogue of the middle dimensional rigidity for certain types of Hamiltonian PDEs. These include nonlinear string equations with bounded nonlinearity such as the Sine-Gordon equation. In the final part of this thesis we study an analogue of Arnold's conjecture for the periodic Schrödinger equations with a convolution nonlinearity.

Given a symplectic manifold (M,ω) and a Lagrangian submanifold L, we construct
versions of the symplectic blow-up and blow-down which are defined relative to L. Furthermore,
if M admits an anti-symplectic involution ϕ, i.e. a diffeomorphism such that
ϕ2 = Id and ϕ*ω = —ω , and we blow-up an appropriately symmetric configuration
of symplectic balls, then we show that there exists an antisymplectic involution on the
blow-up ~M as well. We derive a homological condition for real Lagrangian surfaces
L = Fix(ϕ) which determines when the topology of L changes after a blow down, and
we then use these constructions to study the real packing numbers for real Lagrangian
submanifolds in (ℂP²,ℝP²).

Diamètre spectral et cohomologie symplectiqueMailhot, Pierre-Alexandre 08 1900 (has links)
The group of compactly supported Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms of a symplectic
manifold is endowed with a natural bi-invariant distance, due to
Viterbo, Schwarz, Oh, Frauenfelder and Schlenk, coming from spectral invariants
in Hamiltonian Floer homology. This distance, called the spectral
norm, has found numerous applications in symplectic topology. However,
its diameter is still unknown in general. In fact, for closed symplectic manifolds
there is no unifying criterion for the diameter to be finite or infinite.
It has been conjectured that for closed symplectically aspherical manifolds,
the spectral norm has infinite diameter.
In this thesis, we prove that for any Liouville domain the spectral norm has
infinite diameter if and only if its symplectic cohomology does not vanish.
This generalizes a result of Monzner-Vichery-Zapolsky and has applications
in the setting of closed symplectic manifolds. For instance, we show that the
product of two closed symplectically aspherical manifold has an infinite spectral
diameter . More generally, we prove that any symplectically aspherical
manifold which contains an incompressible Liouville domain of codimension
zero with non-vanishing symplectic cohomology must have infinite spectral
diameter.

Structures quantiques de certaines sous-variétés lagrangiennes non-monotonesNgô, Fabien 06 1900 (has links)
On
CPn. / Let (M,ω) be a closed connected symplectic maniflod. We consider lagrangian submanifolds
α : L →֒ (M,ω). If α is monotone, i.e. there exists η > 0 such that ημ = ω, Paul Biran and Octav Cornea defined a relative version of quantum homology. In this
relative setting they deformed the boundary operator of the Morse complex as well as the
intersection product by means of pseudoholomorphic discs. We note (QH(L,Λ), ∗) the quantum homology of L endowed with the quantum product.
The main goal of this dissertation is to generalize their construction to a larger class
of spaces. Namely, we consider : either the so called almost monotone lagrangian submanifolds,
i.e. α is C1-close to a monotone lagrangian embedding, or the toric fibers of
toric Fano manifolds. In those cases, we are able to generalize the constructions made by Biran and Cornea. However, in those non necessarily monotone cases, QH(L) will depend on some
choices, but in a way irrelevant for the applications we have in mind.
In the almost monotone case, we are mainly interested in displaceability, uniruling
and ernegy estimates for hamiltonian diffeomorphsims.
Finally, we end by an application, that combine the two approaches, concerning the
dynamics of hamiltonian that displace all non-monotone toric fibers of CPn.

The method of exact algebraic restrictions / O método das restrições algebraicas exatasRodríguez, Lito Edinson Bocanegra 27 April 2018 (has links)
The aim of this work is to generalize the results given by Domitrz, Janeczko and Zhitomirskii in [10]. In this article they classify in the symplectic manifold (R2, w) where w = dx1 Λ dx2 + · · · + dx2n-1 Λ dx2n is the symplectic form given by Darbouxs Theorem, all the set which are symplectomorphic to a fixed quasi homogeneous curve . To do this classification they defined the algebraic restrictions. We develop a new method called the method of exact algebraic restrictions and show that this classification is solved for the non quasi homogeneous case N = {(x1, x2) = x≥3 = 0} in the symplectic manifold (C2, w ), where f(x1, x2) = x41 + x52 + x21 x32.

Donaldson hypersurfaces and Gromov-Witten invariantsKrestiachine, Alexandre 03 November 2015 (has links)
The question of understanding the topology of symplectic manifolds has received great attention since the work of A. Weinstein and V. Arnold. One of the established tools is the theory of Gromov-Witten invariants. A Gromov-Witten invariant counts intersections of rational cycles with the moduli space of J-holomorphic curves representing a fixed class for a tame almost complex structure. However, without imposing additional assumptions on the symplectic manifold such counts are difficult to define in general due to the occurence of multiply covered J-holomorphic curves with negative Chern numbers. This thesis deals with an alternative approach to Gromov-Witten invariants introduced by K. Cieliebak and K. Mohnke. Their approach delivers a pseudocycle for any closed symplectic manfold equipped with a rational symplectic form. Here this approach is extended to the case of an arbitrary symplectic form on a closed symplectic manifold. As in the original work we consider only the case of holomorphic spheres. We show that for any second cohomology class there exists an open neighbourhood, such that for any two rational symplectic forms, whose cohomolgy classes are contained in this neighbourhood, the corresponding pseudocycles are rationally cobordant. The proof is based on an adaptation of the arguments from the original Cieliebak-Mohnke approach to a more general situation - presence of two transversely intersecting hypersurfaces coming from two different symplectic forms.
