Simulering av samtalsdata från en telefonväxel / Simulation of phone call data from a telephone exchange

Trygg, Johan January 2016 (has links)
This thesis describes the creation of a simulator for generating phone call data similar to the output from a real telephone exchange. The thesis was performed for the company Nipsoft AB and the simulator is intended to be used by Nipsoft during testing and demonstrations of their telecom rating system. A telecom rating system is a system that process data from telephone exchanges to determine things like the cost and payer of each call. The simulator will be used to generate input to the rating system in cases when it is not suitable to use real call data. To better understand how to create a realistic simulator a large amount of phone calls from one of Nipsoft’s customers has been studied. Statistics for call length, calls per day, distribution over the day, destination, phone numbers per customer, number of unanswered calls and different kind of error rates has been computed. A model for the simulator was created according to Nipsoft’s demands and the computed statistics. The model was implemented in C# and Windows Forms. The simulator was tested by feeding it’s output as input to the Nipsoft rating system. Statistics was computed and compared to the statistics previously calculated from real phone calls. The result showed that the simulator does produce realistic call data, very similar to a real telephone exchange. Also a performance test was made and this showed that the simulator has excellent performance.

Upplevelse av bedömningssamtal hos gravida inför internetbaserad kognitiv beteendeterapi : Har valmöjlighet och besöksmodalitet betydelse? / Experience of assessment interview in pregnant women before internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy : Do the possibility of choice and visiting modality matter?

Belin, Sofia, Brinkenius, Josefina January 2021 (has links)
Depression is present during 10% of all pregnancies and leads to risk for both the pregnant and the baby. Objective: The study ICBT towards pregnant with depression aims to confirm earlier studies results of ICBT-treatment and to evaluate different visiting modalities, telephone call, video call or face to face meeting, of the assessment interview.  Method: 26 pregnant women (gestational week 8–30 at intake) currently suffering from major depressive disorder randomized to either free choice of visiting modality or randomized to a certain visiting modality of the assessment interview. Afterwards the participants were asked about their experience of the assessment interview regarding content, modality and how the Covid-19 pandemic affected their attitude. Results: There was no statistically significant difference between how the three visiting modality groups or between the ones who got to choose opposite the ones who was assigned a visiting modality regarding the experience of the assessment interview. Qualitative data indicates that the participants would have preferred a face to face meeting but appreciated other possibilities due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Conclusion: The participants was in general equally satisfied with their assessment interview regardless visiting modality or if they got to choose their visiting modality or not. To offer different visiting modalities increases the availability and enables treatment with ICBT towards pregnant with depression throughout the country. These results need to be replicated in larger trials to validate.

Gespräche in einer Krise : Analyse von Telefonaten mit einem RAF-Mitglied während der Okkupation der westdeutschen Botschaft in Stockholm 1975 / Conversations in a crisis : Analysis of telephone communication with a member of the red army faction during the 1975 occupation of the West German embassy in Stockholm

von der Heiden, Gregor January 2009 (has links)
When crises develop, people are confronted with difficulties beyond those experienced in normal everyday activities.  Due to the perceived threats inherent to such situations, familiar behaviors may prove ineffective, and such attempts can pose dangerous and unpredictable risks. Crises are extreme situations, occurring at the very edges of human experience. Oral communication in such situations cannot be casual; the seriousness of the situation demands exceptional communicative performance on the part of the participants. Therefore, certainties about everyday communication conventions are called into question. The following work examines conversations during which the participants were involved in an extreme situation. In this particular crisis, a politically motivated kidnapping, the personal involvement of the interlocutors is substantial. A clear and present fear of the situation escalating and the possibility of a failure to anticipate the resulting reactions from the other party(ies) characterize the communicative acts of those involved. Recorded telephone calls during the occupation of the West German Embassy in Stockholm by members of the Red Army Faction (RAF) on April 24, 1975 comprise the basis for this analysis. One of the occupiers speaks with various interlocutors located in an adjacent embassy building. These interlocutors are relatives of the hostages, the Swedish Minister of Justice, and a German official charged with leading the negotiations. In this study, the communicative processes of the crisis are reconstructed. In order to show how the interlocutors attempt to reach their goals in this tense situation with the resources available to them, as well as what they in fact achieve, ethnographic methods of analysis have been employed. This study shows how, despite strong conflicting interests and motives, a shared reality is built through the actions of the interlocutors. The interaction between two key figures in the early stages of the crisis can even be characterized as a form of coalition building. An explanation as to why this collaboration is not retained in the subsequent course of the events, however, leading to an escalation of the situation, is also presented. Furthermore, the following work sets forth qualities needed to interactively build a coalition in a precarious crisis situation, which has arisen between parties characterized by diametrically opposed aims.
