Tell 'Abr 3 notre sujet d’étude est un site néolithique du dixième millénaire av. J.C (Mureybétien, horizon PPNA) situé sur la rive gauche de l’Euphrate en Djézireh syrienne. Il a révélé une documentation riche sur l'architecture et l'expression symbolique, ce qui nous a permis d’imaginer un lien entre les deux aspects Ces informations et leurs interprétations ont été replacées dans le contexte plus général du PPNA au Levant nord. Ils ont été à la base de notre réflexion de la société PPNA ; vie quotidienne et vie symbolique en ont été le fil conducteur. Le site de Tell ‘Abr 3 a fourni six bâtiments pouvant répondre à la notion de bâtiment communautaire en raison de leurs dimensions, de leurs hautes qualités architecturales, de leur richesse ornementale, enfin des outils et des objets décorés retrouvés à l’intérieur. Les objets qui se trouvent dans ces bâtiments ne s’y trouvaient pas par hasard et leur rôle est déterminant pour le fonctionnement de ces espaces. En outre, les objets retrouvés sous forme de dépôts intentionnels ou abandonnés suggèrent fortement la pratique de rituels liée à la vie communautaire et symbolique à Tell 'Abr 3. Trois types de bâtiments communautaires ont été définis à partir de leurs morphologies et de leurs aménagements. Le premier, début de PPNA, est non subdivisé, à plateforme (M1a, M1b, M10b) ; le deuxième, fin Mureybétien, est subdivisé en cellules à plateforme (M3 et M10b) ; et le troisième, transition PPNA/PPNB ancien, est non subdivisé, avec des dalles ornées (B2). Les derniers Deux types seulement étaient déjà connus sur d'autres sites en Syrie du Nord tandis que le – type 1 – n’est en effet attesté que sur notre site.La présence des types des bâtiments communautaires identiques selon notre définition (morphologique et temporelle) sur un vaste zone géographique entre Mureybet au sud jusqu’à Göbekli au nord, en passant par Jerf el-Ahmar et Dja’de el-Mughara, cette répartition renforce ce que l’on savait sur l’unicité de la culture PPNA dans cette zone de la Syrie du Nord et de la Turquie du Sud.Une diversité des thèmes symboliques liée aux types de bâtiments communautaires à Tell 'Abr 3 a été révélée. Les plus fréquemment sont les représentations animalières du monde sauvages. Les thèmes récurrents sont le taureau, la panthère, le rapace, et le serpent. Les représentations humaines prennent une place importante assez explicite. Les représentations masculines sont dominantes dans les bâtiments de types 1 et 3, tandis que les représentations féminines sont dominantes dans les bâtiments de type 2. Si nous combinons l’aspect fonctionnel et l’aspect symbolique, nous constatons entre ces sites, une parenté des thèmes symboliques liée aux bâtiments de chaque type. Mais il faut noter, en même temps, une variabilité qui doit tenir aux singularités du rituel dans chaque communauté. L’ensemble de ces phénomènes s’accompagne d’une transformation du mode de vie social, aussi bien sur le plan quotidien que symbolique. Cela peut être le résultat d’une diffusion du phénomène à travers les périodes et les sociétés du PPNA. / Tell 'Abr 3 our subject of study is a Neolithic site of the tenth millennium B.C (Mureybetien, horizon PPNA) which is located on the left bank of the Euphrates in Syrian Jezirah. This site reveals a rich documentation in architecture and symbolic expression. This information and their interpretations were placed back in the more general context of the PPNA in the Northern Levant. They have been the basis of our reflection of PPNA society; the guiding principle was symbolic and daily life.The site of Tell ' Abr 3 has provided six buildings characterize the concept of communal building due to their sizes, their high architectural qualities, their richness in ornamental, and finally the decorated objects and tools founded inside. The objects that are located in these buildings were not by chance and their role is crucial for the functioning of these spaces. Furthermore, the objects found in the form of intentional deposits or abandoned strongly suggest the practice of rituals related to communal and symbolic life to Tell ' Abr 3.Three types of communal buildings have been defined from their morphologies and arrangements. The first, beginning of PPNA, is not subdivided with platform (M1a, M1b, M10b); the second, finale Mureybetien, is divided into cells with platform (M3 and M10b); and the third one, transition PPNA/PPNB, is not subdivided, with ornate slabs (B2). The last two types were already known on other sites in northern Syria while - type 1 - is indeed attested only on our site.The presence of types of identical communal buildings according to our definition (morphological and temporal) over a large geographical area from Mureybet in the South to Göbekli to the North, passing through Jerf el-Ahmar and Dja'de el-Mughara, This distribution reinforces what was known about the uniqueness of the PPNA culture in this area of southern Turkey and Northern Syria. A variety of symbolic themes related to the types of communal buildings were revealed in Tell ' Abr 3. Most frequently, the representations of wild animals. Recurring themes are the bull, the panther, the eagle and snake. Human representations take a strong and important place. The male representations are dominant in buildings of types 1 and 3, while women's representations are dominant in buildings of type 2.When we matched between the functional and symbolic aspects of these three types of buildings, we establish a liaison in symbolic themes that gather between all these sites. But we have to mention that although each community had its own singularity in ritual. All these phenomena lead to a transformation in social lifestyle, in its both sides quotidian and symbolic. This transformation might be the result of the phenomena diffusion during the periods between societies in PPNA.

This research aims at evaluating an educational software recommended to be used at the public schools of Ensino Fundamental e Médio, considering the paradigms presented in the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais Língua Estrangeira. The theoretical basis for this research were the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais -Lingua Estrangeira (Brasil, 1998) and Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais Ensino Médio (Brasil, 1999), used as a reference by the teacher in his or her classroom, the lines of thinking in psychology that were used as basis for the teaching and learning theories that have had most influence in the teaching and learning process of foreign language in our culture (Williams & Burden, 1997; Rego, 2004; Vygotsky, 1993,2003), the language description theories (Graddol, 1994; Hutchinson & Waters 1987; Bloor & Bloor, 1995), considerations on didactic material (Cunningsworth, 1984, 1995; Tomlinson, 1998; Graves, 2000), the definition of task according to Ellis (2003), software evaluation criteria (Squires & McDougall, 1997; Stirling, 1998; Alagumali & Anderson, 1997) and the evaluation criteria for didactic material by Ramos (1998) and Freire et al. (2004). This research has shown that, although the language description theories and the teaching and learning theories that constitute the software do not match the educational paradigms in force nowadays, according to the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais Língua Estrangeira (Brasil, 1998) and the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais Ensino Médio (Brasil, 1999), from a technological point of view the software presents resources that can help both teachers and students in the teaching and learning process of a foreign language / Esta pesquisa originou-se de uma inquietação minha como profissional da área de educação com respeito à avaliação de material didático, que hoje além de material impresso inclui também materiais ligados à área tecnológica, tais como softwares e cursos on-line. O objetivo deste trabalho é avaliar um software educacional (Tell Me More), recomendado para ser usado na rede pública de Ensino Fundamental e Médio à luz dos paradigmas educacionais apregoados nos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais Língua Estrangeira. Compreendendo a fobia em odontopediatria por meio de intervenções com o Procedimento de Desenhos-Estórias / Comprehending the phobia in pediatric dentistry by means of interventions with Drawing-and-Story Procedure

Essa foi uma pesquisa qualitativa que aplicou, avaliou os resultados e comprovou a utilidade da aplicação do Procedimento de Desenhos-Estórias na apreensão dos conteúdos emocionais de crianças e adolescentes com receio do tratamento odontopediátrico. O objetivo do estudo foi pesquisar os pontos nodais das angústias, conflitos, fantasias e mecanismos de defesa que emergem nessa situação de crise. A metodologia consistiu na utilização de entrevistas clínicas com as mães e crianças, na observação clínica da criança e na aplicação do procedimento. Foram estudadas 15 crianças entre 8 e 14 anos, utilizando-se de 3 a 12 sessões. O referencial de abordagem e interpretação foi o psicanalítico. Como modificação em relação à proposta original do instrumento, foram utilizadas intervenções auxiliares de associações livres e propiciadoras de aprofundamento no material emergente e compreensão dos conteúdos emocionais. Observou-se que: a. A necessidade de atendimento odontopediátrico exacerba com intensidade fantasias, conflitos e mecanismos de defesa primitivos. b. O instrumento facilita o contato e aprofundamento com focos nodais de conflitos e angústias inconscientes. c. O processo auxilia no conhecimento dos conflitos, mobilizando uma tendência para a integração dos mesmos. Verificou-se que as intervenções com o Procedimento de Desenhos- Estórias foram plenamente adequadas à apreensão dos conteúdos emocionais profundos de crianças e adolescentes nessa condição de crise. Concluiu-se que, a situação de crise que antecede o atendimento odontopediátrico dos pacientes estudados, foi ampla de mobilização de angústias primitivas e intensas fantasias que necessitam ser comunicadas e elaboradas em um processo psicoterapêutico. / This is a qualitative research, viewing to apply, evaluate results and demonstrate the need of employing the Drawing-and-Story Procedure. while understanding and elaborating emotional contents of children and adolescents who fear pediatric-dentistry treatment. This study also aims to examine the nodal points of anguish, conflicts, fantasies and the mechanisms of defense that emerge from the crisis situation. The methodology consisted in the use of clinical interviews with mothers and children, in the clinical observation on the child and in undertaking of procedure. A research, devided in 3-12 sections, was made with fifteen children, aged 8-14 in private clinic. Psychoanalysis was used as a system of approach and interpretation. As a modification, related to the original consideration, a free-associated auxiliary therapeutic verbalization has been used, as well as a deepening in the emerging material and understanding of the emotional contents.The results were as follows: a. The need of pediatric dentistry attendance will intensively exacerbate fantasies, conflicts and selfdefense primitive mechanisms. b. The instrument facilitates the contact and deepening of nodal points in conflicts and unconcious anguish. c. The process assists in knowing all conflicts by mobilizing a trend for integrating them. The results has led to conclude that the Drawing-and-Story Procedure used in this clinical situation, has shown as being highly suitable to the whole aprehension of emotional contents in children and adolescents in this crisis situation.This study has taken the initial hypothesis which a crisis situation that precedes the pediatric dentristy attendance in case study patients has a wide range of distresses and intense fantasies that should be notified and elaborated within a psychotherapeutical process.

Encontro com pais de filhos com traços autistas: compreendendo a experiência emocional / An encounter with parents of children with autistic characteristics: understanding the emocional experience

Esse estudo tem por propósito conhecer aspectos do psiquismo dos pais de filhos com traços autistas, decorrente da experiência clínica da autora no tratamento de crianças e pais com essas características. Todos esses temas são discutidos na introdução do estudo, bem como são apresentadas as bases teóricas sobre as quais o trabalho foi desenvolvido. Seguindo uma metodologia clínica, foram realizados 10 estudos de caso, de ambos os pais, casados, cujos filhos apresentassem traços autistas. Os mesmos foram convidados a participar e foram submetidos aos procedimentos: entrevistas clínicas e o Procedimento de Desenhos-Estórias, em cada um dos pais em separado e uma Observação Familiar. Também foram obtidos dados a partir da consulta ao prontuário da criança ou jovem na Instituição. Os resultados obtidos, na maioria dos casos, revelaram dificuldades emocionais anteriores ao casamento e ao nascimento dos filhos, as quais retrataram: aprisionamento, intolerância à frustração, desvitalização, sentimentos de menos-valia, autoinvalidação, desligamento, evasão das emoções, agitação, depressão e outros aspectos emocionais que os conduzem à paralisação e a insatisfações em suas vidas. Esses parecem ser decorrentes de dificuldades individuais e conjugais, e às quais se somaram as desencadeadas pela condição do filho. Por outro lado foram também denotados no material de nove casos, desejos de mudança e movimentos de esperança. Como conclusão pode-se dizer da necessidade que os pais, participantes desse estudo, têm em receber tratamento psicológico que possa atender às peculiaridades de cada um. Uma compreensão mais ampla dos aspectos psíquicos dos pais pode, ainda, embasar programas preventivos e interventivos, de forma a lhes fortalecer a autoestima, a esperança e os desejos de mudança. Sugere-se também o desenvolvimento de novas pesquisas sobre o tema. / The purpose of this study is to know better the psychological aspects of parents of children with autistic characteristics; it is the result of the clinical experience of the author in treating children and parents with these characteristics. These themes are discussed in the introduction of the study as well as the theoretical basis for the development of the study. Following a clinical methodology, 10 case studies were carried out, of both parents who were married and whose children had autistic characteristics. The subjects were invited to participate and underwent the procedures: clinical interviews, Story-Drawing - for each parent individually and Family Observation. Data was also retrieved from the child or teenager\'s file at his or her treating institution. The results, in most of the cases, show emotional difficulties prior to the marriage and birth of the child, which portrayed: imprisonment, intolerance to frustration, la ck of vitalization, feeling of under value, auto-invalidation, detachment, emotion evasion, agitation, depression and other emotional aspects which lead them to a holt and dissatisfaction in their lives. These seem to spring from individual difficulties, marital difficulties to which the difficulties generated by the child condition were added. On the other hand, in nine cases, desires for change and hope movements were found. As a conclusion, it is clear the need of the parents who participated in this study to have psychological treatment according to their individual characteristics. A broader understanding of the psychological aspects of the parents can serve as a basis for preventive and interventional programs, thus strengthening their self-esteem, their hope and the desire for change. New research on the theme is also suggested.

Filhos autistas e seus pais: um estudo compreensivo / Autistic children and their parents: a comprehensive study

Este trabalho consistiu na investigação das possíveis implicações entre a dinâmica do casal e a relação com o filho autista e as dificuldades que os pais apresentam para estabelecer parceria com o terapeuta, colaborando assim com o processo terapêutico e com o desenvolvimento do filho. Realizamos Diagnósticos Compreensivos (Trinca, 1983), visando a um conhecimento dos aspectos psicodinâmicos dos casais e da relação destes com o filho autista. A base teórica que fundamenta o estudo é a psicanálise e as teorias psicodinâmicas juntamente com nossa experiência clínica. Utilizamos dois instrumentos: entrevista semidirigida e o procedimento de Desenhos de Família com Estórias (Trinca, 1978). A pesquisa foi realizada nas dependências de uma Instituição Pública, especializada no atendimento de crianças autistas, situada na grande São Paulo. Contamos ainda para a realização deste, com a participação voluntária, de cinco casais de pais de filhos autistas, os quais prestaram enorme contribuição ao nosso estudo. Os resultados obtidos após levantamentos dos dados foram: - os pais vivenciaram conflitos emocionais, instabilidades ambientais, humilhações afetivas em suas famílias de origem. - os conflitos emocionais originaram relações de objetos deficitárias, frágeis e conturbadas. - as dificuldades emocionais vivenciadas serviram como percalços ao desenvolvimento emocional destes pais e impediram qualquer possibilidade de interação com o filho autista. - algumas reações das crianças autistas, utilizadas como forma de contato com os pais estão relacionadas ao foco do conflito da dinâmica dos pais. - as dificuldades emocionais dos pais influenciam o desenvolvimento do filho autista, uma vez que aqueles encontram-se impossibilitados para um contato ‘vivo’ e ‘humano’. Concluímos que os pais por nós estudados apresentam intenso sofrimento por manifestarem importantes dificuldades emocionais, necessitando serem cuidados, tanto quanto seus filhos autistas. / This work was the investigation of possible implications between a couple dynamics and the relationship with their autistic child and the difficulties the parents have to establish a partnership with the therapist, thus helping the therapeutic process and the development of their child. Comprehensive Diagnosis were done (Trinca, 1983), with the aim of getting to know the psycodynamic aspects of the couples and their relationship with their autistic child. The theoretical base of the study is the psychoanalysis and the psycodynamic theories together with the clinical experience. Two methods were used: semi-directed interview and the procedure of Family Drawing with Stories (Trinca, 1978). The research was done in a Public Institution, specialized in treating autistic children, located in the city of São Paulo. There was also the voluntary participation of five couples, parents of autistic children, which meant na enormous contribution to the study. The results obtained after the data gathering were: - the parents lived emotional conflicts, environmental instabilities, and affective humiliation in their families of origin. - the emotional conflicts originated handicapped object relations, they were fragile and disturbed. - the emocional difficulties lived were obstacles to the emotional development of these parents and made impossible any kind of interaction with the autistic child. - some reactions of the autistic children, used as a way of trying to establish contact with their parents are related to the focus of the conflict of the parents dynamics. - the parents’emotional difficulties reflect in the development of the autistic child, due to the fact that the parents do not provide a ‘live’ and ‘human’ contact. We concluded that the parents we have studies present intense suffering demonstrating important emotional difficulties, needing to be treated as their autistic children do.

TVAAS Rankings and Teachers’ Perceptions of Data-Driven Professional Learning in Northeast Tennessee Title I and Non-Title I Elementary Schools

The focus of this study was a comparison between the perceptions of school-based licensed educators in Title I and non-Title I schools in Northeast Tennessee as measured by the TELL Tennessee Survey and each school’s overall composite TVAAS score. The factor variables were professional development, instructional practices and support, teacher leadership, and school leadership. This dissertation was a quantitative study of teachers’ perceptions of data-driven professional learning and TVAAS composite scores. A one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was conducted to evaluate the difference between teachers’ perceptions of data-driven professional development and student TVAAS data. An independent samples t-test was used to evaluate the difference between teachers’ perceptions and poverty levels, as determined by Title I status. The dependent variable was the response to the TELL Tennessee survey questions by Northeast Tennessee school-based licensed educators. Research indicated no significant difference in Northeast Tennessee teachers’ perceptions of professional learning as measured by the TELL Tennessee survey in the dimensions of professional development, instructional practices and support, and teacher leadership as related to TVAAS composite scores. The research found a significant difference in teachers’ perceptions in the dimension of school leadership as related to TVAAS composite scores. There were no significant differences in teachers’ perceptions as measured by the TELL Tennessee survey in the dimensions of professional development, instructional practices and support, teacher leadership, and school leadership between Title I and non-Title I schools.

Framing tactics are used to structure a situation in an attempt to establish a “favorable climate” for influence. Framing can be used to influence the military or society to make decisions that are in your best interest (i.e. Jackie Robinson’s allowance into major league baseball and the desegregation of the Armed Services) by structuring the issues at hand. The military may be faced with several options; however, introducing social influence tactics will alter his/her idea of what they believe to be their set course of action. Successful framing tactics are evident in how the military desegregated itself breaking from its long tradition of racial separation of decades past. Framing will present the military an optional course of action. This course of action is not desirable for some, but most will benefit from it, due to the fact that homosexuals will not be subjugated, scrutinized, or discharged for their sexual orientation. The idea behind this framing tactic is to have the military choose option A on their own accord. This thesis will explore the relevance of the Jackie Robinson situation and how it relates to the current military actions towards “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” and to determine how social influence tactics were employed to achieve the desired result. There are several examples ranging from desegregation of African-Americans into the military to the current acceptance of gays into the military.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Several issues pass through the mind of the therapist who ventures into the field of child psychotherapy, making them reflect and seek knowledge to guide their practice. This study aimed to investigate how children under psychological care in public health institution, in basic health institution, represent their therapy and their therapist. For this purpose, a qualitative study was carried out, using the draw and tell a story procedures. Eight children between five and twelve years old participated in this study. The children were asked to perform a sequence of three drawing-stories. The data analysis was performed using content analysis. The results are presented in the form of scientific papers. The first article focuses on the representation of the psychotherapy and the second on the representation of a psychotherapist. The results of the first study showed that children experienced their therapy as a place where they could play and talk about themselves. The emphasis given by the children to the ludic resources and to the conversations points out the importance of these therapeutic tools, since they enable children to communicate and work on their issues. Moreover, the treatment was experienced by the children as a place where changes happen in order to achieve therapeutic gains and improvements. The results of the second study suggest that children have a representation of a psychologist as someone who plays and talks with them. In order to make the therapeutic process happen, the ability of the professional to provide a reliable and supported environment was valued. In this place, the child feels safe to bring up their issues, highlighting the holding received during the treatment. The final considerations highlight the possibility of having services of quality in public health institutions, since psychotherapy has been experienced by children as the literature indicates, that is, regardless the place it happens and the people who take it. / Várias questões invadem a mente do terapeuta que se aventura no campo da psicoterapia com crianças, fazendo com que este reflita e busque conhecimentos que norteiem a sua prática. Neste sentido, o presente estudo teve como objetivo investigar a forma como crianças que estavam em atendimento psicológico em instituição pública de saúde, em atenção básica, representam a sua terapia e o seu terapeuta. Com este intuito, realizou-se um estudo qualitativo com a aplicação da técnica do desenho-estória. Participaram deste oito crianças com idade entre cinco e doze anos incompletos. Foi solicitado às crianças que realizassem uma sequência de três desenhos-estórias. A análise dos dados coletados foi feita através de análise de conteúdo. Os resultados são apresentados no formato de artigos cientificos. O primeiro artigo versa sobre a representação de psicoterapia e o segundo sobre a representação de psicoterapeuta. Os resultados do primeiro artigo evidenciam que as crianças vivenciaram a sua terapia enquanto um espaço onde elas puderam tanto brincar quanto falar sobre si. O destaque dado pelos infantes aos recursos lúdicos e ao conversar salienta a valorização destes enquanto dispositivos que as possibilitaram comunicar e trabalhar as suas questões. Além disto, o tratamento foi experienciado pelas crianças como um lugar destinado a estas realizarem mudanças com o intuito de alcançarem ganhos terapêuticos e melhorarem. Por sua vez, os resultados do segundo artigo apontam que as crianças têm uma representação de psicólogo enquanto alguém que brinca e conversa com elas. Para que o processo terapêutico se dê, foi valorizada a capacidade do profissional prover um ambiente confiável e amparador, no qual a criança se sinta segura para trazer as suas questões, sendo destacado nesse sentido o holding recebido ao longo do tratamento. As considerações finais destacam a possibilidade da implantação de serviços de qualidade em instituições públicas de saúde, uma vez que a psicoterapia foi vivenciada pelas crianças como a literatura aponta que ela deve ser independente do lugar em que ela se dá e das pessoas que ela atende.
