Des pratiques participatives en situation de travail aux effets transformateurs dans l’apprentissage du métier de formateur des professionnels de santé / Participatory practices in the workplace with transformative effects in the learning of the profession of trainer of health professionals

Plenchette, Marcel 01 July 2019 (has links)
This research focuses on the process of transforming the frameworks of experience (Goffman E., 1991) resulting from participatory practices in work situations and its effects on learning the profession of trainer of health professionals. The participative practices of these professionals will be the research subject through the choice of a focal point inscribed in the current of microsociology. The observation of the work situations was done lengthwise (considerer a changer longitudinally) over four years, by the recording of in situ work situations carried out by the trainers themselves, followed by group interviews, including a self-confrontation dimension and semi-structured individual interviews. Our theoretical references are originating from the field of workplace learning, including the notion of participative practices (Billett S., 2016), situated learning with the theory of communities of practice (Wenger E., 2005), the analysis of interactions with Goffman's work on the rites of interaction (1974) as well as the frame analysis (1991). Our central hypothesis consists in thinking that learning the profession of trainer through the participative practices of the actors in the work situation entails processes of transformation of the frameworks of the experience. The results show that a process, which we named dynamic enshrined frames, produces a modification of the professional positioning of the actors. The perception of their learning environment is changing and so are their professional practices.

Paula, Lucimara Cristina de 23 February 2011 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-06-02T19:35:42Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 3550.pdf: 2109348 bytes, checksum: 063db925fc424724e44fe97467cedb40 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011-02-23 / Financiadora de Estudos e Projetos / Various authors have denounced the inadequacy of the proposals for continuing education offered to teachers of early elementary, by the distance they keep, in their school curriculum, of school s reality, and the inability to contribute to the establishment of a significant professional and institutional transformation in education, which points out the importance of reflecting and refocusing the proposals of the formation of trainers. Assuming that only a democratically, critical and politically committed formation, with a humanised education of children, youth and adults can contribute to the transformation of individuals and their contexts, the research is rooted on the philosophical and pedagogical principles of educator Paulo Freire. According to these principles, humans are in the world, with the world and with each other, conditioned by time and space in which they live. Therefore, trainers of teachers form and will be forming in their relationships, conditioned by the historical, social, political, cultural and economical system that they make and that influences them. Considering the impact that such system and educational policies exert on the working and behaviour of the teaching professionals, as well as on the functioning of educational institutions, we present the following question: how has the formation of trainers of teachers of early elementary, which act or have acted in continuing education programs, been handled by the Department of Education of the State of São Paulo, and how to reorient the proposals of such programmes within the framework of research and training, from the trajectory of life and occupation of the trainers, through the assumptions of Progressive Pedagogy of Paulo Freire? In order to answer this question, we selected two procedures: the first enabled the wider analysis of the complex processes of formation and auto formation experienced by the trainers, in the course of their personal and professional paths interviews to collect their life stories; the second allowed to identify and analyse the ideas and positions of these people on the relevant themes related to life in the profession, from the freirean frame and the Communicative Critical Methodology - dialogues between each participant and the researcher. Data collection and data analysis are performed from the recording and transcript of conversations with two educators who work continuously with the training of teachers: one that participates in policy making training effected by the Department of Education of the State of São Paulo, and another who works in the implementation of such policies, within the framework of the boards of education. The base of all the research and, most importantly, the results of the dialogues with participants, confirm that the trainers consist of the subjectsubject, subject-object and subject-object-subject relations. These relations establish the historical conditions of living, schooling, social classes, which provide them with learning, thoughts and with the confrontation of situations that affect and oppress, accommodate or rupture, cause barriers or satisfactions, through the constant dialectical movement of doing and redoing, making and remaking. We verify the potenciality of the historical freirean Praxis to the indication of some principles and actions focused on research and proposals for continuing education of (the) educators, in the sphere of schools, public education, universities and trade unions, involving the unity in diversity, the criticality and the dialogue present in the work of Freire and the methodology adopted.

VIVÊNCIAS CONSTITUTIVAS DO PROFESSOR-ORIENTADOR: ENTRE NARCISO E MINOTAURO, UM LEGADO E UMA DESPEDIDA / CONSTITUTIVE EXPERIENCES OF THE ADVISER PROFESSOR: BETWEEN NARCISSUS AND MINOTAUR, A LEGACY AND A FAREWELL

Barbosa, Mirian Haubold 26 April 2013 (has links)
This thesis is inserted in the line of research of Training, Knowledge and Professional Development of the Post-Graduation Program in Education of UFSM. Its theme is the constitutive act of the post-graduation adviser professor, stricto sensu, and focus on the dynamic of the mentoring process seen as a form of legacy and farewell. Its objective is to deepen the comprehension of the personal and professional elaborations of these adviser professors as well as of their constitution, focusing on the integration movements, their cohesion and the consonant expressive conditions. The thesis lies on the epistemic landscape of complexity; it is grounded on interdisciplinary discussions and resorts to the interpretive phenomenological method. The subjects of the thesis are four adviser professors from the Post-Graduation Program in Education, all of them with more than 15 years of teaching experience. Through in-depth interviews, these professors are invited to relate significant experiences to their constitutive and elaborative conceptions as adviser professors and their mentoring style. The relevance of this study is in the investigative exercise that fosters the subjectivity and intersubjectivity as means of deep reflexive processes and in the look at the significance of the human and humanizing transactions, both in the formation of trainers as in the formation of knowledge. It counts with the theoretical support from psychodynamic concepts regarding the personal maturation process and with the contribution of psychology and education, in particular about the interrelation between the personal and professional dimension in the construction of the orientation process. The final reflections are organized in three main lines of analysis that unveil the dynamic under discussion upon the existential experimental optic: in the development of singular historicity; in the development of phenomena that delimitate and condition the internal and external spaces and environments and in the expressivity of the constitutive and elaborative conditions. The interpretative analysis reveals that the dimensions at issue intertwine and condition the continuity of the constitutive process of mentors and mentoring.

A study of the dynamics of developing sustained church planting movements in Asian nations, based on lessons learned in the 2004-2005 NEXT conferences in East Asia

Smith, Stephen Robert 30 November 2007 (has links)
This study attempts to be an exhaustive analysis of the dynamics of developing sustained church planting movements in Asian nations, based on lessons learned in the 2004-2005 NEXT conferences in East Asia. Principles are being discovered and methodologies developed in East Asia on how to build sustained church planting movements around the world. To understand these, consolidate learning, and apply that learning in a variety of crosscultural ministry contexts, a series of conferences were hosted by my wife and myself. Eight week-long ”NEXT conferences” were held, consisting of sixty experienced strategy coordinators plus eleven regional supervisors, to wrestle with these issues. This paper is based on the findings of these conferences; specifically, that there are divine principles and particular methodologies which enable missionaries to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in developing sustained church planting movements that saturate ethno-linguistic people groups and cities of Asia, and ultimately, the rest of the world. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology) / M.Th. Analyse didactique de l'activité en formation professionnelle : le cas de l'apprentissage des Systèmes d'Information Géographique / Didactical analysis of the vocational training activity : Geographical Information Systems learning

Holgado, Otilia 28 November 2011 (has links)
Research in ergonomics and cognitive psychology point out difficulties in learning GIS (Medyckyj-Scott 1991, Nyerges 1991, Davies 1995 et, en France, Wurtz 1996). Our research is a follow-up of this work. It attempts to highlight the difficulties of learning GIS and possible ways exceed them, by understanding the mechanisms of learning GIS in the conditions offered by the CVT (continuous vocational training). We filmed and analyzed two GIS training sessions (approx. 30 hours each). Taken place three years apart, in the same training center, the training sessions have been conducted by the same two trainers. As Aline Robert (2008), we observed and recorded training activity without interfering: a fixed camera was placed in the gap, to cover the widest possible the occupied part of the classroom. On a theoretical level, our central thesis is the possibility and relevance to access processes and mechanisms of learning through mental representations built by adult learners. We relied on the theory of functional representation (Leplat), also called operative image (Ochanine) or representation for the action (Teiger, Weill-Fassina, Rabardel). Several other theoretical frameworks have also been mobilized: theories of adults learning (Barber, Bourgeois, Kaddouri), theories of vocational training (Mayen, Pastré, Vergnaud), the theory of instruments and instrumented action (Rabardel), the theory of mediation and guidance by others (Galperin, Savoyant). We reported on the learning process in its development through the evolution of the system of representation of people, which we had access through the analysis of verbal activity. Indeed, in verbal interaction between instructors and learners or between learners, representations of people emerge as resources (representations built before training) or as effects of training (under construction or processing representations). The evolution of the system of representations is systematically related to the conditions that determine it. The organization of the training session allows everyone to express themselves and underscores its representations. Emphasis is however placed on verbal interaction between trainers and learners and the effects produced. The formative function is provided by two trainers who are experienced professionals and who act simultaneous. This offers an interesting field of analysis of sharing transmission activity. We observe how trainers organize their joint intervention: they complement and support each other, but also contradict and prevent. Our thesis is part of a new orientation of vocational didactics theoretical field. This orientation has initiated by Mayen and consists to analyze training to work and not only the work for training. By analyzing the learning process, the thesis remains focused on work process. First, because the subject of learning is a professional instrument (GIS). Second, because trainees are professionals who do not separate their work joining the training session (Pastré, Mayen and Vergnaud, 2007). Finally, because the work situations and tasks experienced and verbalized by everyone are so many resources to learn during the training session.

For that, it is searched: a) to emphasize the properties of the place in which the trainers act Ufpi as the office of those field and subfield; b) to understand who are the trainers, that is, to grasp the teaching habitus of the trainers with a view of its origin, social trajectory and the specifics of their position in the analyzed field and the subfield and c) to know what they think about their work object, that is, identify and articulate the content and the organization of the social representation analyzed with their properties of field and subfield agents. The research includes the specific degree courses of the Campus Ministro Petr?nio Portella , from Teresina(PI), and it was applied to 134 professors of degree courses from this Campus. The data collect joined to the participants happened on the second period of 2008 and on the first semester of 2009. The starting point of the study is the corroboration that the reform of Ufpi degree courses, determined by the legislation and stablished at this Institution in 2005, altered a little the previous situation. It is comprehended that Ufpi and its structures of teachers education as a trainer institution, is limited by the national academic field and by the subfield of teachers education. From this last one, it was listed some of its properties, to show that it is about an academic subfield in construction process. It is emphasized division of the subfield, that separates the trainers into two subgroups the ones who dedicate themselves to the specific education on the contents and those ones who are specialized on pedagogical education placed in antagonistic position and competing by the symbolic power of imposing the meaning and the sense of the teachers education in the degree courses. To understand the comprehension of the problem, it is searched for the models that are in the root of the construction of the University and its project of teachers education in the degree courses, to clarify the matrixes in which the social representation searched is stablished. The theoretical referential articulates the contributions of Moscovici, the theory of social representations, and of Bourdieu, with the concepts that compose its praxeology, as habitus, social field, capital, symbolic power and others, as well as their interpreters and continuators, as Domingos Sobrinho. From the literature about the university and teachers education, it was used Dermeval Saviani, Luiz Ant?nio Cunha, Maria Isabel da Cunha and Mirian Jorge Warde, besides others. Plurimethodological procedures were adopted, combining associative techniques adjusted to the access to the social representations, and a classic technique, a questionnaire about teaching habitus. The condition is that the teachers build different social representation of the object teachers education because of the distinct positions that they occupy in the structure of the academic field and the subfield of the teachers education. The reached positions in the field and subfield are due to the differences in the origin and social trajectory of these agents, who, therefore, have different teaching habitus from which they build their social representation about their work object. It is highlighted that the teaching habitus and the social representation of two subfields, identified by the belongings to different dimensions of the teachers education in the degree courses, they have similarities and, also, differences. These ones permit to support that the subjects are holders of distinct teaching habitus that conceive different practices, struggles, tensions and conflicts around the sense of teachers education / Nesta investiga??o, analisamos o conte?do e a organiza??o da representa??o social sobre o objeto forma??o de professores, constru?da pelos professores de licenciatura da Universidade Federal do Piau?

Rita de Cassia Pereira Borges 11 May 2010 (has links)
Inquiry based science education for first years of schooling has been recommended by many educators, by Academies of Science of many countries, including Academia Brasileira de Ciências, which sponsors the programme ABC na Educação Científica Mão na Massa. This study of training of teacher trainers was undertaken in this program, in a joint project of the Municipal Authority for Education of the city of São Paulo with the science Center Estação Ciência of Universidade de São Paulo. The Project, Mão na Massa Iniciação Científica no Ciclo I, aimed at establishing inquiry based science education in aproximately eighty municipal elementary schools belonging to ten different Regional Education District, during the years 2006 to 2008. Training was offered by Estação Ciência to one teacher trainer in each Regional District and to a Pedagogical Coordinator of each participating school. These Pedagogical Coordinators also received training from the Regional District teacher trainer and were responsible for the training of teachers in their own school; the teachers then taught science in their classes. We followed the training work of the Estação Ciência team with the ten Regional District trainers, by qualitative research including observation and participation in meetings, interviews and examination of documents, reports and evaluations. Study of pertinent literature and the research showed that professional development for teacher trainers includes a series of complex actions which requires a variety of abilities and knowledge, which are used during training sequences and helped by strategies which favour dialogical interactions. We emphasize four of these: planning and development of training situations; understanding science concepts and practices; reflection about training practices; and establishment of an atmosphere of collective collaboration in the training group.

The research was based on the fact that currently social and cultural changes are witnessed as a result of the possibilities arising from Information and Communication Technology (ICT), particularly within the education system. Given the presence of this language among the students, if the teachers do not incorporate it into their practices they may be denying the dialogue with those who are the reasons for the existence of all educational systems. Therefore, authors such as Moran (1993), Moran, Masetto and Behrens (2000), Kenski (2003, 1996) and Toschi (2005), amongst others, reflect about changes experienced from both students and educators during the teaching and learning processes as a result of impacts of those means. Because the TICS establish strong relationship with the Mathematics, Mathematics teachers should build coherent practices involving the use of ICTs. Inspired by a qualitative approach, the survey was built on case study methodology, using a questionnaire and interview. The study subjects were Mathematics teachers, trainers of Mathematics teachers from Universidade Pedagogica-Mozambique, delegation of Nampula, and the aim was to assess how those actors use the ICTs during their classes. The survey found a lack of clarity of trainers in their conception of ICT, lack of use of software and / or programs that could assist in their professional activities, as well as the inability to exploit the potential that ICTs offer to them. However, participants of the survey believe that the use of technology in training courses can bring about changes in their training and teaching practices of future teachers. Moreover, they show interest in learning how to use ICT.

Early Childhood Education Trainers' Knowledge and Use of Andragogical Principles

Thornton, Kimberly 01 January 2019 (has links)
Early childhood education (ECE) teachers often lack the experience and skills to provide children with supports necessary to foster academic and social skill development. Professional development can improve ECE teachers' skills, but ECE trainers often lack understanding of adult learning principles, known as andragogy. Knowles' conceptual framework of andragogy was used to explore the knowledge and use of andragogical principles of 8 ECE trainers selected via criterion-based purposive sampling. The research questions focused on ECE trainers' knowledge and use of andragogical principles. Three cases, each consisting of 2 or 3 live professional development trainings for early childhood educators, were used in this study. Data sources included (a) observations of ECE trainings, (b) semi-structured interviews with ECE trainers, and (c) content analysis of ECE training materials. Thematic analysis revealed that although participants were not formally trained in andragogy and were unfamiliar with the associated verbiage, most had a strong grasp of andragogy and used andragogical principles to drive the development and presentation of their training materials. The 3 main themes that emerged were (a) lack of training/background in andragogy, (b) training strategies employed, and (c) training design. Findings from this study provide an original contribution to the limited existing research on the professional development of early childhood educators and expand the existing body of research on andragogy. This study contributes to social change by revealing that trainers may benefit from formal andragogical training, which may then improve the education provided by ECE teachers to young children.

Nursing Simulation: A Review of the Past 40 Years

Nehring, Wendy M., Lashley, Felissa R. 01 August 2009 (has links)
Simulation, in its many forms, has been a part of nursing education and practice for many years. The use of games, computer-assisted instruction, standardized patients, virtual reality, and low-fidelity to high-fidelity mannequins have appeared in the past 40 years, whereas anatomical models, partial task trainers, and role playing were used earlier. A historical examination of these many forms of simulation in nursing is presented, followed by a discussion of the roles of simulation in both nursing education and practice. A viewpoint concerning the future of simulation in nursing concludes this article.
