Lin, Shu-Chen 18 August 2005 (has links)
Communication plays a very important role in an organization. An exchange of information and knowledge maintains a normal operation of an organization. In addition, the establishment of co-understanding is necissary for the organization members to achieve the common goals of the organization. Communication happens when a message sender transmits information to a message receiver through the ¡§communication media.¡¨ There are two forms of communication; one is verbal and another is non-verbal or called wordless. Verbal communication includes face-to-face conversation, telephone contact and written correspondence. As to non-verbal communication, it includes physical gesture, facial expression, and the action of hand or eye that transmits messages. According to the researches, different communication media have different information capacities. To achieve the best performance, we should choose the communication media with the most match capacities and message ambiguous. Highly rich media is applied to highly complicated task, while less rich media is applied to simple and routine task. Therefore, it is important to study to the effectiveness of communication. Employees of Retail business heavily uses mobile phone as the communication media. According to the media richness theory and the social influence model, this researcy performs a survey study. The research results reveal that there is no significant differences over the ambiguous of task, media richness, usefulness, media symbolic meanings and situational factors among the department stores and supermarket of different channels. Therefore, mobile phone application is regarded as a good communication tool in the retail business. It is suggested that an organization should consider replacing or matching the existing communication tool to achieve the most effective communication.

Domestifikace televizního zpravodajství: Každodenní sociální užití televizního zpravodajství v prostředí současné rodiny / Domestication of Television News: Everyday Social Use of Television News in the Contemporary Family Environment

Fišerová, Sylvie January 2009 (has links)
The diploma thesis called "Domestication of Television News: Everyday Social Use of Television News in the Contemporary Family Environment" deals with the question of how and why are the evening news used in the family environment. It approaches this topic from the perspective of auditorial approach of cultural studies, takes for granted the existence of autonomous active audience. It informs about the key studies of social use of media, e.g. the typology of social use or role of gender in the attitude to media, and it deals with the question of relation of children and media. Further part of work is devoted to the news, its characteristics and the possible social use of this format by specific members of the family. These concepts are consequently used as tools for the research itself. The research of social use of the evenenig news is carried out with the help of qualitative grounded theory. In the empirical part the author arrives to the following conclusions: the main motivation for watching news is informative use, though at the same time it is used as a coulisse to other activities, most often bathing children and preparing or eating dinner. The most widespreaded type of watching news might be described as "monitoring", when television news viewing is secondary to some other primary activity....

Internetnutzung von Schüler:innen. Skalen zur Erfassung von digitalen Süchten.

Schöftner, Thomas 31 May 2023 (has links)
So gaben z. ... / The aims of the present case of management were to describe and analyse the problems and challenges in the implementation of macrocampo Communication and Use of Media, Digital and Technological Culture of Mais Educação Program (PME) on the network education of Pernambuco from State School case Y, in Paulista, municipality of Regional Management of Education from North Metropolitan, and to propose an action plan as contribution to improvement of this implementation. The importance of this research that touches the issues concerning the extension of the school journey or school time and therefore the integral education policies and full time is justified faced with the emergency of the use of electronic and digital technologies in school, whereas PME includes, among the macrocampos of knowledge of urban schools, the Communication and Use of Media, Digital and Technological Culture. Although there is a significant production about the PME in broader terms, this specific theme is chosen because there is not this kind of publications in the State of Pernambuco. The State Department of Education of Pernambuco (SEE/PE), The Regional Management of Education/North Metropolitan (GRE) and the State School Y became search field. The State School Y has made membership of the macrocampo Communication and Use of Media, Digital and Technological Culture of PME every year, from the implementation of PME, in the state in 2008. It was used a qualitative methodology to collect information and analyse the facts that involve the implementation of macrocampo Communication and Use of Media, Digital and Technological Culture of Mais Educação Program having as research‟s tools, interviews of semi-structured itineraries in two different stages: a preliminary stage with the same teams of Mais Educação Program of SEE/PE and GRE, and a second stage with the same teams, the educational team and the management team of the State School Y. The studies from Cavaliere (2007, 2009) about the conception of full educational were used as theoretical support, Condé (2012) and Mainardes (2006) about the implementation of public policies and Bonilla (2009) about the incorporation of technologies in the school context. From the analysis results of the research it was pointed out problems of inadequacy and lack of preparation of human resources and insecurity in monitoring under the SEE/PE and GRE interfered directly in the implementation of macrocampo in schools. In the face of this, the proposed Educational Action Plan presents actions that can be executed in the State schools of Pernambuco with a view to addressing the difficulties in implementing the macrocampo Communication and Use of Media, Digital and Technological Culture of the PME, either within the SEE/PE, Regional Managements of Education or the schools themselves.

Užívání tištěných a online médií mezi ženami a muži na mateřské nebo rodičovské dovolené / Use of print and online media among women and men on maternity or parental leave

Řehořová, Lidmila January 2020 (has links)
The thesis deals with the role of media in the life of "young" parents. The theoretical part presents the current trends in the attitude to printed and online media for a selected target group, specifically women and men on maternity and parental leave. The principal question of the thesis is the attitude of a selected group of people to the media content. Has the relation to the media subjectively changed in this new life role? The research method is a qualitative interview with ten respondents (seven women and three men). The analysis is based on methods of grounded theory - first at the level of open coding, then the axial coding. The conclusion summarizes the researched findings, and among other things, whether the interviewees see changes in their relation to the media due to parenthood and if they do, which changes they realize.

Use of the Mass Communication Media by Governor John B. Connally, Jr.

Shelton, James Keith 12 1900 (has links)
Governor John B. Connally Jr., who served as chief executive of the State of Texas from 1963.to 1969, made extensive use of the mass communication media to further both his programs and his own political fortune. It is the purpose of this study to examine the history of Connally's use of the media, to evaluate the degree of success he achieved in the use of the media, and to present evidence of how he was able to achieve success in the use of the media. The study was done in three phases. In the first phase, microfilm files of two newspapers, the Dallas News and the Houston Chronicle, were studied in detail for the years 1962 through 1968. Clipping files of the Associated Press in Austin and the Dallas Times Herald also were studied for the years in question. Also, the New York Times Index was examined for references to Connally during these years. Such references were then checked on microfilm files of the Times. In the second phase, key members of Connally's staff for those years and key members of the capitol press corps in Austin were interviewed. As a third step, a questionnaire was mailed to 25 selected Texas editors soliciting their views on Connally's press relations.
