Zkušenosti neziskových organizací s firemním dobrovolnictvím / The experience of non-profit organizations with corporate volunteering

Chalupianská, Jarmila January 2021 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with corporate volunteering from the perspective of non-profit organizations. The aim was to get practical experience from non-profit organizations that can be used by other non-profit organizations and companies to make more effective partnerships. The experience has been modified through in-depth interviews with representatives of eight non-profit organizations. Non-profit organizations are mostly positive about corporate volunteering experiences according to the interviews which were made. The empirical part of the work presents specific experience of organizations and summarizes benefits and negative corporate volunteering from their point of view. At the end of the thesis I summarize lessons gained from all interviews that can serve as recommendations for non-profit organizations and companies.

Integrace dobrovolnictví do sociálních služeb pro seniory v ČR / Integration of volunteering in social services for the elderly in the Czech Republic

Krbcová, Alena January 2008 (has links)
Diploma thesis "Integration of volunteering in social services for the elderly in the Czech Republic" deals with nowadays ageing population has become substantial part of the development of society. One of the important instruments of social policy to fight the adverse effects of the ageing population should be prevention and also the quality of social services for old people, support for civil society and volunteering, which contribution to the society is important and is going to strengthen in the future. Generally, the importance of a volunteer for a old person is as an intermediary with the world outside, and as an associate who has time only for him. The volunteer helps developing civic virtue and solving social problems usually as a partner of the state services and of the non-profit sector. In the consequence of a significant change in the legislation, which was put into practice by a new law in social services, I focus my work primarily on what the new law brings and how it has changed the scope of its social services in practice during its year-and-half force. And what role the phenomenon of volunteering defines too.

Rumenos, Nijima Novello. January 2020 (has links)
(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: Science-Citizen requested fertilizers or scientific flavors with other flavors, such as popular knowledge, being carried out by people who are interested in Science and are concerned with an environmental issue. Linked to this, it has a critical Environmental Education perspective that aims at bringing human beings closer to nature and paying for actions in natural environments. National parks, affiliated with the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity (ICMBio), can exhibit a visit in open places and present close relations with the surrounding communities. Thus, these places were considered privileged for the contextualization of research by researchers, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the local community itself. Thus, the research presented here has as main objective to analyze the contribution of the Citizen Consciousness Program in the critical socio-environmental formation and in the social engagement of the subjects. The type of qualitative research, based on the foundations of historicalcritical pedagogy and Vygotskynian historical-cultural psychology, must consider the concreteness, totality and dynamics of historically constructed social phenomena. It uses the Content Analysis proposed by Bardin, the questionnaires and interviews of the subjects participating in the three courses offered by the Conscience-Citizen Program in the Serra dos Órgãos National Park (PARNASO), in addition to observing the course classes and meetings of the project search. Occupation, prestige, and voluntary work in retirement

Lengfeld, Holger, Ordemann, Jessica January 2014 (has links)
The paper examines the extent to which the prestige value of a retiree’s former occupation increases the likelihood that they will make a transition into volunteering after retirement. Following social production function theory, we assume that when a person retires, the prestige value attached to their former occupation fades. The fact that volunteering has the character of a collective good provides the opportunity to gain social prestige to offset the loss of occupational prestige. However, the extent of the incentive to volunteer will be distributed unequally across occupations: the higher the former occupational prestige value, the higher the perceived loss of prestige after retirement. Thus, doing a job with high prestige value increases the incentive to volunteer in retirement. This assumption is tested, using data taken from the German Socio-Economic Panel (GSOEP) 1992-2013. The sample contains 1,631 workers and 589 retirees, 278 of whom transitioned into volunteering during the observation window. Based on Kaplan-Meier-Failure-Estimates and complementary log-log hazard models, findings show a positive effect of occupational prestige on the transition into volunteering. Thus, the loss of high occupational prestige can be compensated by the social prestige associated with volunteering. Formal volunteering in retirement follows, albeit to a lesser extent, the logic of the occupational social strata.

Wie viel Betreuung benötigen Lesepaten?: Qualitätsstandards im Ehrenamt

Hagen, Kristina 15 September 2011 (has links)

German Foreign Fighters in the Yugoslav Wars

Hoffmann, Patrick January 2016 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to identify those German citizens, who were fighting in the Yugoslav wars, determine their background, actions on the ground and post-war trajectories, as well as suggest probable motivations for joining the combat in the way they did. The thesis raises the question, how these German war volunteers can be best described and if they are somehow specific within their subgroup of predominantly Western anti-Yugoslav foreign fighters. I argue that Nir Arielli, one of the few scholars dealing with the role of Westerners in the conflict, falls short by qualifying them merely as "meaning seekers" and thus overlooks the multitude of political connections and references, first and foremost among the Germans. I will offer a critique by pointing out differences and nuances, especially in origin- based motives, ideological underpinning and perspectives on the conflict. In doing so, I will raise the question of what we do know about the political situation in both Germany and Croatia in the early 1990s, and how each of that might that have facilitated decisions to join combat abroad. In addition, I will classify their appearance both within the well-known theory of "new wars" as well as within the phenomenon of foreign war volunteering, arguing that there is not much reason why this group should...
