The purpose of this paper is to examine how four teachers treats and teaches aboutxenophobia and right-wing extremism. A further aim of this study is to investigate whetherthere are any differences in how a teacher at a vocational high school treat and teachabout xenophobia and right-wing extremism against the teacher at a preparatory school, theydo. To achieve my purpose I have used qualitative interviews of semi-structuredform.These interviews were done with two social studies teacher at a vocational high schooland two social studies teacher at a preparatory school.My results show that teachers all too often respond to xenophobic views directly into theclassroom by reasoning and discussions with students. In my resault is also evident thatthere is a big difference between the teachers at the schools how much time you devoteto xenophobia and right-wing extremism in teaching.The conclusions show that these differences largely depend on which group of students thatteachers have.The conclusions will also be that there are great similarities between the way teachers reasonabout how to deal with xenophobia and the means to do, they also are relatively similar.

Denna uppsats har undersökt lärares individualiseringssträvanden i förhållande till yrkesförberedande respektive studieförberedande program på två olika gymnasieskolor. Undersökningen består av intervjuer med åtta Samhällskunskapslärare. Med hjälp av individualiseringstypologier, definierade av Monika Vinterek, kan vi utröna hur lärare individanpassar sin undervisning. Vidare har vi ställt oss frågorna om lärarna har olika individualiseringssträvanden samt om detta påverkar nivån på undervisningen i Samhällskunskap A. Resultatet visar att lärarna använder sig av olika individualiseringssträvanden samt att det görs en viss skillnad i individanpassningen beroende på vilket program som är föremål för undervisning. Vidare påverkas nivån på undervisningen i Samhällskunskap av lärarnas olika individualiseringsmetoder.

In the swedish curriculum one of the exam goals for the students is to have knowledge about the human rights. The aim of this study is to analyze and investigate four social studies teachers views on the education about the human rights and if the student reach the exam goals of the curriculum for the upper secondary school. The study shows challenges that the teachers experience as lack of time for education about the human right, lack of motivation from the students towards the subject and the great differences in the students abilitites. The study also points that the teachers uses different strategies and didactic means to reach the goals for the education about the human rights. To analyze the framework of this study I’ve used the theoretical framework of Michael Lipskys theory Street Level Bureaucrats. To reach the aim of this study I’ve applied qualitative metod framework with semi structured interviews.

I det här examensarbetet har en läroboksanalys gjorts på två läroböcker, Svenska impulser 1 (2017) och Svenska impulser för yrkesprogrammen (2012). Syftet med examensarbetet är att se vilka skillnader som finns i de undersökta läroböckerna och om innehållet överensstämmer med läroplanen. Ett vidare syfte är sedan att undersöka vilka konsekvenser dessa skillnader kan ha för eleverna.   En av läroböckerna är riktad mot yrkesklasser och den andra mot studieförberedande program. För att besvara examensarbetets syfte utfördes en kvalitativ textanalys där vi granskade texternas innehåll och utformning. Analysen har ett produktorienterat ändamål där en komparativ innehållsanalys gjorts på två läroböcker, resultatet jämfördes sedan med tidigare forskning.  För att komplettera resultatet har vi sedan gjort fyra intervjuer med yrkesverksamma och legitimerade ämneslärare på gymnasiet.   Resultatet från läroboksundersökningen påvisar att det finns skillnader i innehållet och utformningen av böckerna. Det övergripande resultatet indikerar att Svenska impulser för yrkesprogrammen (2012) består av ett förkortat innehåll som inte tydligt visar hur eleven ska nå de högre betygen och uppgifterna i läroboken baseras på faktainhämtning. Däremot har Svenska impulser 1 (2017) ett tydligt fokus på det centrala innehållet i läroplanen där det explicit uttrycks vad som krävs av eleven för att nå de högre betygen. Vidare innehåller läroboken förberedande delar till nationella provet i svenska och innehåller betygsmatriser som visar vad som krävs av eleven.   Resultatet från lärarintervjuerna visar att lärarna har förutfattade meningar gentemot elever och dessa påverkar det didaktiska förhållningssättet. Resultatet visar även att det som utgör val av läroböcker och läromedel är ett lättbegripligt innehåll, tilltal och att läroboken håller rätt nivå.
