Around "tournantes" : mediatic processing ans stakes of group'rape in urban background

Saadaoui, Linda 02 July 2010 (has links)
By 2000, in a context of socio-economic concerns, a news so unexpected suddenly rises in the best seats in the galleries media. Commonly called "tournante" by most media release of the Hexagon, the information reveals the existence of collective rape in the mid teens of French neighborhoods. What lead to these ?tournantes?? Some criminalize the adverse effect of the pornography industry but also the dissemination of ICTs - while recognizing that the prohibition of such films on television would be a false solution. The weight of the patriarchal culture in families of immigrant origin has also been put forward by others, and so was it for the influence of fundamentalist Islam. All these arguments have been deconstructed as well scientifically by researchers that public opinion through a vox populi that no longer supports the stereotypes attributed to the suburbs/cities. But the ways to contest have been different, discussions and actions on the passionate and violent themes as social actors to whom the word was circulated in the press.Aspects such as the media and the plurality of speech segments have been identified through work areas as diverse knowledge of each other: Information and Communication Sciences and disciplines audras humanities (sociology, socio-demography, psychology, anthropology...) but also political science, science of medicine, law or criminology.

Couplages croisés catalysés au cobalt entre des arylzinciques et divers substrats électrophiles / Cobalt-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of arylzinc reagents with various electrophilic substrates

Rérat, Alice 19 October 2016 (has links)
This thesis presents new cobaltcatalyzed cross-coupling reactions between arylzinc derivatives and various electrophilic reagents. After a general introduction on cobalt-catalysis and arylzinc compounds, the first chapter is dealing with the formation of diaryl ketones. Reaction between arylzinc bromides and ethyl chloroformate in presence of cobalt bromide and bipyridine ligand leads to the formation of symmetrical diaryl ketones with very good yields under simple conditions. It has been shown that ethyl chloroformate decomposes into carbon monoxide during the reaction. First attempts to extend this method to the synthesis of unsymetrical diaryl ketones are also described from arylzinc bromides and various carbonyl containing substrates. As for the second chapter, it is focused on the Negishi coupling between arylzinc bromides and an aryl bromide or an heteroaryl chloride. The advantage of this method is that the cobalt used to form the arylzinc bromide also serves to form the biaryl, hence there is no addition of another catalyst in the second step of the reaction. Results about the formation of biaryls are promising, but this reaction needs to be thorough. A similar methodology was used for the synthesis of new delayed fluorescence molecules to obtain highly efficient organic light emitting diodes. The third chapter describes the cobalt-catalyzed reaction between an arylzinc bromide and an electrophilic source of sulfur, a Bunte salt. However, these aryl sulfides can be easily oxidized in the reaction mixture and give sulfoxides and sulfones, which limit the use of this method. Finally, the last chapter is about preliminary works on the trifluoromethylation of arylzinc bromides from electrophilic or nucleophilic trifluoromethyl sources.

Magnets with disorder and interactions:: dilution in novel spin liquids and dynamics of driven disordered spin chains

Rehn, Jorge Armando 03 February 2017 (has links)
A very important step in the art of cooking up models for the study of natural phenomena is the identification of the relevant ingredients. Taking into account too many details will lead to an overly complicated model, not at all useful to work with, but neglecting some crucial elements will lead to an equally useless model. So it is often the case that the actual experimental situation presents unavoidable sources of local randomness, whilst the analysed phenomenon does not really rely on presence/absence of such imperfections. For some other set of phenomena, however, disorder can play a crucial role, and must be carefully taken into account. Such is for example the case in certain phases of matter, the spin-glass phase, or the many-body localised phase. In this thesis we explore disorder in both of these situations and also as a theoretical means of testing the regime of liquidity in certain two-dimensional highly frustrated magnetic models. The focus here is placed on classical Heisenberg models defined on lattices consisting of clusters all sites of which interact mutually pairwise. This natural way to introduce frustration has been known in the literature to lead to so-called Coulomb spin-liquids, the single class of classical spin-liquids acknowledged to exist so far in Heisenberg models. Here we show that in fact two different classes of classical spin-liquids can be obtained from similarly defined frustrated models. In one of these, algebraic correlations exist at $T=0$, similar to the Coulomb phase, but the system exhibits a rather different low$-T$ effective action from the Coulomb phase. In the other class, the spin-liquid has spin correlations that decay exponentially with distance, with a correlation length smaller than a lattice spacing even at $T=0$. One special effect of disorder in these models, considered in the form of dilution by non-magnetic impurities, is to nucleate local degrees of freedom, so-called orphans, which express the concomitant spin-liquid phase through their non-trivial fractionalisation. When the associated spin-liquid exhibit algebraic correlations, it is also possible to find new effective spin-glass models as an effective $T=0$ description for interactions between the orphans, leading to so-called `random Coulomb magnets'. One part of this thesis is devoted to the first study of these new models. This investigation consists mainly of Monte Carlo simulations and numerical solution of the relevant large$-n$ equations ($n$ being the number of spin components). A clear spin-glass transition for infinitely large coupling strength is determined for the case of spins with an infinite number of components. The results presented on the situation for a finite number of spin components are more of an exploratory character, and large-scale simulations with further optimization schemes to ensure equilibration are still required to locate the transition. The final investigation treated in this thesis deals with the dynamics in a quantum model with disorder displaying the many-body localized phase, where in addition a periodic drive is applied. For a certain range of driving frequencies and amplitudes, it was found recently that the many-body localized phase is robust. These pioneering studies restricted themselves to an analysis of the stability of such a phase in the long time limit, while very little was known about the dynamics towards the asymptotic fate. Our study focuses on this aspect, and analyses the different dynamical behaviors as one varies the driving parameters, so that the many-body localized phase survives or is destroyed by the driving. We discover that on the border between these two asymptotic fates, a new dynamical behavior emerges, where the system heats up at a very slow, logarithmic in time, rate.

Keita, Naren 22 January 2020 (has links)

Formation and governance of a healthy business ecosystem

Lappi, T. (Tuomas) 31 October 2017 (has links)
Abstract The objective of this dissertation is to identify how to make business ecosystem formation more efficient and how to evaluate ecosystem success capabilities. Business ecosystem formation consists of transition of a front-end phase ecosystem into an operational ecosystem. How the formation takes place and how it can be governed is approached through five formation elements: dynamics, strategy, governance, behaviour and evolution. The elements are defined based on literature review as the dissertation body of knowledge. Through inductive case studies and defined body of knowledge this dissertation presents as a synthesis a multidimensional model to support healthy business ecosystem formation. The model describes how ecosystem formation should be driven by key end customer requirements and how those contribute to ecosystem planning. Based on the key end customers it is possible to define initial joint value proposals and core service providers. This dissertation introduces roles of anchoring and moderator actors to business ecosystem discussion as actors leading the ecosystem formation and maintaining the ecosystem structure through strong relationships. The dissertation proposes conceptual models to assess ecosystem health and stakeholder’ salience. Ecosystem health can be assessed with sustainability, resilience, innovativeness and renewal capabilities. Importance of actors and their impact probability can be identified with salience assessment. Both assessment models enable ecosystem planners to monitor the formation progress and to focus governance activities. This dissertation is qualitative and inductive based on literature review and conducting empirical case studies in multiple business ecosystem type of environments in Finland and Taiwan. The dissertation consists of five academic publications and synthetization of them into this compilation book. The principal results of this dissertation include more detailed insights to support business ecosystem definition and scoping. Ecosystem formation expands the earlier contributions on business ecosystem evolution. Roles of anchoring and moderator actors complement the ecosystem roles enhancing planning. The assessment models provide for both practitioners and academics framework for evaluating ecosystem status. / Tiivistelmä Tämän väitöskirjan tavoitteena on tunnistaa kuinka liiketoimintaekosysteemin muodostumista voidaan tehostaa ja kuinka ekosysteemin kestävyyttä voidaan arvioida. It represents a negative impact to the Christian Church, and, as a consequence, triggered a significant increase of couples that have divorced and that have a second matrimony. In order to solve many family conflicts, the divorce was approved by the State, and this is accepted by some ideologies and religions. However, the position of the Christian Church remains firm, considering the fight for the unit and indissolubility of the matrimony, which is defined as The matrimonial pact [Alliance], in which a man and a woman established a consortium to their lives, being not only positive to the couples as well as to the children s raising and, among baptized, the law was established by Jesus Christ, the Lord, that dignified the sacrament. Thus, among baptized, the same sacrament validates the matrimony and does not accept the second one (CIC 1055). The Catholic Church rejects the civil divorce of the Christians life, so that the catholic that has divorced and married again, is not allowed to participate of the Eucharist, since his/her situation is irregular. But the Evangelical Church Assembly of God does not conceive the civil divorce as the civil marriage, it follows the rules of the Bible and it is also belied in the indissolubility of the marriage, although the civil divorce is accepted, when the marital problem is infidelity, whose adultery of one spouse should be proved, and this is based on the Gospel of Saint Mathew 5.32, 19.9, and the word porneia is understood as prostitution and adultery. The exception to the rule of indissolubility allows the access of Lord s Supper, which is as real situation. Santa Ceia nesse caso concreto.

Preconditioning for the mixed formulation of linear plane elasticity

Wang, Yanqiu 01 November 2005 (has links)
In this dissertation, we study the mixed finite element method for the linear plane elasticity problem and iterative solvers for the resulting discrete system. We use the Arnold-Winther Element in the mixed finite element discretization. An overlapping Schwarz preconditioner and a multigrid preconditioner for the discrete system are developed and analyzed. We start by introducing the mixed formulation (stress-displacement formulation) for the linear plane elasticity problem and its discretization. A detailed analysis of the Arnold-Winther Element is given. The finite element discretization of the mixed formulation leads to a symmetric indefinite linear system. Next, we study efficient iterative solvers for the symmetric indefinite linear system which arises from the mixed finite element discretization of the linear plane elasticity problem. The preconditioned Minimum Residual Method is considered. It is shown that the problem of constructing a preconditioner for the indefinite linear system can be reduced to the problem of constructing a preconditioner for the H(div) problem in the Arnold-Winther finite element space. Our main work involves developing an overlapping Schwarz preconditioner and a multigrid preconditioner for the H(div) problem. We give condition number estimates for the preconditioned systems together with supporting numerical results.

Unidades de Negocio Autónomas en CODELCO Chile División Andina

Retamal Rodríguez, Felipe Eduardo January 2008 (has links)
